Eventually Lazlo got released from the infirmary as the feeling returned to his nerves, his tongue was still a bit swollen. He was discharged holding the basket that Patsy brought him earlier that morning, he was unable to actually eat the banana bread, but he was content in smelling it walking back to his cabin.
Lazlo made it back to Jelly Cabin to the sight of Raj and Clam half frozen in blocks of ice. The Warm summer sun was doing most of the work melting them as Clam was chiseling at the ice with a pick.
"What happened to you?" Lazlo asked seeing the two as they turned to him, claiming that Patsy Smiles was what happened. Raj explained how Patsy came into Jelly Cabin and froze them with an ice-cold glare as Lazlo stuck out his inflamed tongue pressing it against the ice as the blocks quickly melted as the two scouts brushed the ice shavings off themselves, claiming they needed a hot shower as Lazlo shrugged, putting his list back under his pillow.
"Come on, she's not THAT bad Raj, she did do my list of self-imposed tasks for me" Lazlo countered. The Elephant stretched, relieved to feel his toes as Calm sat on his bed. The door to Jelly Cabin opened again as Raj jumped up to the totem pole.
Standing in the doorway was Andy, Raj seeing this slid down the pole, breathing a sigh of relief. Andy took the opportunity to tell Lazlo that he was retuning the Monkey's pocketknife, which he was using to cut some cloth. The boys in Cocoa had not received their Camp Kidney Pocket knives yet as Andy offhanded it to the monkey.
The Tiger left the Jelly cabin meeting up with his crew outside of Cocoa cabin, seeing Steven working on something as he glanced over asking what the wolf was working on. Steven replied that when Jakk was swimming in the lake he found an old fishing boat washed up.
"I'm planning to use parts from it to make a new ride, I'll be stopping by the scrapyard to get some more part. I'm looking to make a Go-kart" Steven admitted taking the thrusters off the boat as Tusk whistled.
"A Bass Eliminator, aren't these things super high end?" Tusk commented, questioning how it ended up wrecked in the lake. Andy told Steven that he and Tusk were going to walk into Prickly Pines to sell some beans as Lumpus had asked them and decided to get some stuff, asking Steven if he wanted anything. The Wolf simply got up, saying he had done as much as he could with what he had. He would take the opportunity of going into town to get more supplies.
The Wolf rubbed his hands with a rag joining his cabinmates at Tusk, grabbed the handle on a wagon of canned beans walking to the gate. The four had received permission to leave the campground which was rare, and they planned to make use of it.
The walk into the town was hot and sweaty as the four walked along the side of the road. even now and then a car would pass by them. Andy brought his hand to his forehead wiping the sweat off his forehead.
Eventually the four made their way to Prickly Pines, which was actually a very small town. Andy looked at the map he was given as they found their location, looking in disbelief. They were set right outside a Manure shop. Steven unfolded the plastic table they were carrying, sitting it down as the four placed the cans of beans on the table.
"Alright Jakk, be our word man; Steven, go looking for Kart parts, Tusk and I can handle this" The Andy called out as the Wolf walked off, heading into one of the Go kart shops. To Say business was slow was an understatement. In the hour they were selling they must have only sold 2 cans.
Andy concluded it was a slow day as he rubbed his eyes, seeing a group a squirrel scouts walking along the town, lugging a blue wagon. Andy did not remember the four scouts. but figured them as a blue rabbit, a grey squirrel a tan owl and a light purple poodle.
Andy told his guys to be on alert as there is a good chance that they knew about the itching powder prank. The boys simply chose to ignore them for the time being as the squirrels set up their table. It did not take long for the Squirrels to start drawing in customers as Andy was genuinely surprised by the crowd around the Squirrels table. it looked that were selling boxed cookies.
Tusk turned to Andy what they do to increase their sales. Andy simply laid back, telling the boar he did not care how much they sold. it was just an excuse for them to get in town anyway.
Eventually Steven returned with a paper bag filled with mechanical parts, mentioning he got a great deal on a fuel injector and some slightly used brakes. he looked over to the crowd across the street from the, asking what was going on there. Andy told him about the Squirrels setting up shop as he rolled his eyes.
Tusk mentioned that since Steven was back, he was going to get some drinks from the convenience store across the street. The big problem with that was that the Squirrels were set up right in front of it.
"You're not really thinking of going over there are you" Steven asked, cleaning under his nails with a knife. Tusk went forward towards Pickles' store. He approached the Table as the Squirrels looked at the boar approaching them.
The eyes of the girls glued on him as he passed by them, walking into Pickles'. The Air conditioning felt nice on him as he walked around. the shelves were lined with various supplies. Tusk walked around. his mouth watering from all the snacks.
eventually he made his way to the cooler filled with drinks, opening the foggy glass door as a cool breeze hit his face, he let out a sigh of relief, grabbing a few flavored waters from the cooler. The Boar let the cold air blow on his face before the Horse standing behind the counter looked at him.
He Told Tusk to close the door as he was letting all the cold air out. Tusk closed the door as behind the fog coated door was Amber, the blue rabbit scout. Tusk backed a bit, as he wondered if she followed him in.
Amber simply smiled, looking at him, her hands behind her back. Steven finally asked her what she was doing as she swayed,
"Well, you see, I was thinking about how to repay you for the...the thing you did and guess who just got award for most badges earned in one week?" Amber asked sarcastically as Tusk looked at her, guessing the answer to her question as she smirked.
"Yes me, and guess what my reward was" reaching into her vest pocket, pulling out a coupon for a free spaghetti dinner at Al Calzone's. Tusk looked at it, congratulating the rabbit for her achievement as she nodded.
"I was actually wondering if, you'd like to come with. Think of Me treating you as 'repayment' for you saving my reputation as Tusk pondered on it, not knowing to make heads or tails of it.
On one hand Amber's invitation could very well be a prank set up by the Squirrels, but on the other hand he did seriously help Amber as he thought it over. Tusk's biggest weakness was his stomach but there was no way the girls could have known that.
"Okay, I'll go with you but I swear Amber; If this IS a prank, I will tell all the Scouts what went on during Chili Day" Tusk replied as the rabbit turned red with embarrassment, assuring him it was not a prank, even offering to let him hold onto the coupon as he smiled walking away, paying for the bottles of flavored water as he left the store.
Amber had no intentions on Pranking Tusk, she just wanted to do something nice for him. not many Bean Scouts would have helped her out in that scenario, imagining if someone else was in that stall, not only did her help her when she was stranded, he also created a distraction so she could sneak out.
The rabbit grabbed a bottle a carrot juice from the cooler, paying for it before heading outside. the moment the rabbit girl stepped outside the heat flashed back at her like a wave, she reached into her vest and pulled out a bottle opener. Amber lifted the tool, sending the metal cap flying off as she took a sip of the orange drink.
The day passed as the Beans had left and the Squirrels were taking down their stand, walking back to Acorn flats, Amber pulling the wagon as she was leader of Tree Squirrel cabin.
"So, thoughts on the new Beans" Toodie, the Squirrel asked, counting the money they made as Almondine looked at them, commenting that something seemed interesting about them.
"That Wolf was totes hot though" Suzie replied, reflecting on the tough wolf as Toodie looked at her, giggling, commenting that someone had a crush, which Suzie did not confirm. she just said that he seemed tough with a hint of mystery, a big difference from the rest of the Bean scouts.
"I Make no excuses, he hot" Suzie replied as they walked along the path. Almondine looked at Suzie, telling her not to say anything like that around camp as Suzie zipped her mouth. Amber never told anyone about her plans to go out with Tusk, but she was only doing to to repay him and if it came out, Amber would have to explain why she owed him one.
The Four returned to Acorn Flats, handing over the wagon, leftover cookies and the money over to Miss Doe. They made their way back to their cabin. Amber finishing her bottle of juice, setting the bottle in a plastic recycling bin.
Afterward the Squirrels all met up for a game of tennis. Miss Mucus was sitting on a referee chair, blowing a whistle, signaling the match as Suzie, tossed the ball, serving it to Rachel from Ground Squirrel who sent it back. The ball bounced back and forth between the two girls.
On the benches the girls were watching, cheering for Suzie, who was one of the more athletic girls and was the one expected to win the match. It was a heated match for the two but in the end Suzie was the one to win, hitting the ball in a way that Rachel could not block it, whizzing past the gopher's head, bouncing on the floor as Miss Mucus blew the whistle.
After the two left the next two girls were called up. Almondine from Tree Squirrel and Gretchen from Flying Squirrel.
Gretchen simply tossed the ball, power-serving it as it hit Almondine, causing the owl to fall back, earning a whistle from Mucus, Jane sending the alligator to the benches for 'poor sportsmanship'.
"Really Gretchen, you know better than that, violence is wrong, under any circumstances" Jane Doe called out as Gretchen pouted, sitting on the bench, still sore from scratching all day.
In this universe Al Calzone's Spaghetti Hideout is located in Prickly Pines as it makes no sense for a restaurant to pop up in Acorn flats for one episode
