It was morning at Camp Kidney as the boys were taking their showers. Andy washing the suds out of his fur as stepped out from under the showerhead, wrapping a towel around himself.
"You two finish up, I'll meet you back at the cabin" Andy called out to Jakk and Steven who were washing up. The Tiger Finished drying off, putting his uniform on as he left the communal showers, breathing in that morning air, coughing a bit. He did not want to admit it, but he was getting used the summer camp, it wasn't Westridge but still.
Andy wished he had to phone to check in with his friends back at home, but he settled for writing letters and according to what he read things were going fine. He approached Cocoa Cabin where Steven was polishing the Bean Can, giving it a coat of shine. The tiger sat on the cabin steps, leaning back, his fur was till damp from his morning shower.
'Hey Steven, you feeling homesick?" Andy asked curious as the wolf nodded, adding his garage was back in Westridge, the thought of the vehicles he built being trusted to other 'Orphans' mechanics made him a little sick.
Andy understood, in his own way; he himself was used to leading his gangs which now had to handle with being led by some of the lieutenants. claiming he could not wait to return home. It Wasn't like Andy and the Cocoa Beans did not enjoy it at Camp Kidney, it was just stale.
"Got to admit though, that stunt we pulled yesterday, felt just like home, like when we rode up on the Crimson Kings and totaled their clubhouse" Andy replied as Steven chuckled at him. Eventually Tusk and Jakk returned from the showers, both feeling refreshed as they walked past Andy.
Tusk told them, they were going to play cards and inviting Andy and Steven to play along. Steven shrugged, following them in before blowing the vehicle a kiss. The Four headed back into Cocoa Cabin, sitting on the floor as Tusk shuffled the deck of card.
"Okay, the game is Texas-Hold em with a 20 bead buy in" The Boar said handing out the cards as the game began. Steven was actually really good at cards, despite his macho presence he was actually pretty smart and had a really good poker face, able to keep cool during high stress situations.
Andy and Steven looked at each other, Andy tapping his chin, weighing his options as decided to play it safe, folding his hand as Steven placed his cards on the floor, scotting the pile of beads towards himself, smirking. Andy praised the Wolf as one of the few people he could not read.
The Game continued as Andy dropped his cards, asking if his cabinmates heard anything. Steven reached in another handful of beads, claiming he could not hear anything over the sound of him winning. Andy put his hand up, claiming he heard it again as the beans were quiet. a wet spalt was heard.
"It's coming from outside" Andy realized, opening the door as he witnessed a ball of mud, flying toward him. Andy took a pose, punching the ball, which exploded, getting all over his arm as he shook it off. He saw the culprits. The girls from Flying Squirrel in some plastic go kart, Gretchen was pulling back an elastic band as Nina placed a ball of mud. Gretchen let go as Andy quickly closed the door, the Mud, hitting the door.
"The squirrels got a go kart and they're flinging mud balls at us" Andy explained as Jakk took a sip of his water, saying it was gonna be one of those days. They had expected to be hit soon but the Squirrels had them bunkered down in their cabin. Andy looked to Steven, asking what he had in way of weapons.
Steven prided himself of 2X4 construction and ability to build mostly anything, reaching under his bed. What he held up was a huge Supasoaka water gun, heavily modified as he ran his hand along the barrel, claiming it was filled with Spicy Jalapeno Cheddar Dip, tossing the gun to jack who pumped it up before, leaving the cabin.
"Back everyone, I've got a gun filled with Spicy Jalapeno Cheddar and I'm not afraid to use it" Jakk retorted as there was a break in mudballs. Jakk aimed the barrel down at the Squirrels as the rest of the beans left the cabin. Andy seeing what a mess their cabin was in as Steven looked at his car splatted with mud.
"What kind of monsters would do such a thing" the Wolf called out, rushing to his Kart as Gretchen aimed a mudball before Jakk adjusted his blaster to the Gator. The scouts were at a stalemate. Steven snarled at the girls for messing up his ride, claiming he should rearrange their faces as Gretchen smirked.
"We would crush you" The Alligator replied as Steven smacked his face, hyping himself up asking if they wanted to settle this, he would kill them all right now. Tusk walked over the Steven calming the Wolf down. Andy looked at them.
"You, Mongoose, Pinky, I'm guessing you're in charge" Andy called out as Jakk was waiting for permission to cheese them but Andy steadied his hand. There was silence as Andy looked at the girls, saying that they were even now, the squirrels got them, they were got as Patsy looked up.
She asked if Andy really thought a few mudballs made them even for humiliating Gretchen, Itchy Underwear and vandalizing the Watchtower. as far as the Squirrels were concerned, they were just getting started as Andy huffed explaining himself.
Tusk had won the contest fair and square and the Itching power was only retaliation after they put Lazlo in the infirmary, holding out the bottle, tossing it to the Mongoose who caught it. Patsy admitted it was intended for Tusk, in truth the fact was Lazlo was hit really hurt her and besides that did not justify them vandalizing their campground.
"You shot watermelons at us first, you crazy bitches, who does that" Jakk defended as Andy looked at them.
"Look, we bested you in Chili eating, Put Itching Powder in your laundry and shot up your watch tower, you Put Lazlo in the Infirmary, shot watermelons at us and pelted or cabin and kart with mud, that's three for three" Andy proposed looking to put an end to this cycle of attack and retaliation. Gretchen looked at them, saying that they got a little mud on their already dirty cabin and their trash heap of a cart.
The Alligator did not even get to finish her sentence as Steven approached them. Gretchen aimed a mudball as her face was introduced to Steven's fist. pulling her off the Kart, the two fighting as a white cloud rolled around the camp.
"She should not have said that" Jakk said watching the Wolf and Gator fight, looking at them confirming their kart was not junk, mentioning the Squirrels kart looked store bought, calling it a cheap toy.
The Squirrels took offense, saying their kart was top of the line and could drive laps around that pile of trash that was wielded together. Hearing this Steven suddenly stopped, tossing Gretchen aside, putting his hands on the hood of the girl's kart, daring Patsy to repeat that.
"The Bean Can would take you to school, you think skags like you could compare to her beauty and grace, her roaring engine and big fat tires?" Steven asked clearly offended with a look that screamed 'murderous intent'. Andy got Steven to back off, looking at the Girls.
"Look, Patsy is it. we could stand her, talking crap at each other...or we could settle this on the road, and let our karts do the talking for us" Andy rebutted as Steven nodded, commenting he's leave them in a ditch.
"Us, against that?" Patsy chuckled as the other two laughed, agreeing to what they perceived as any easy win as Steven looked at her, asking if they wanted to put money on it as Patsy agreed to make a wager as Andy interrupted.
The Tiger explained he was thinking of something more valuable than money as the girls looked at him, asking what was more valuable than money. Andy response was simple.
"Dignity, the losers have to wash the winner's Kart, spotless" Andy replied as Patsy agreed to the terms, Andy put his hand out for the Mongoose to shake on as she did so, in a sense signing a contract, but it was a contract she was not worried. Andy walked away with his crew. all of them getting in the Bean cart.
"Tomorrow, Noon, right at the Entrance" Andy said, turning to Steven asking him to get them outta camp, it was smelling like perfume as Steven started the engine, roaring with immense power as the wolf floored the gas. the big tires spinning as the Bean Can shot off.
The Girls watching this, looking at each other, asking if they really could really beat that thing. Patsy was confident in their getting back in their Kart, getting ready to drive back to Acorn Flats.
"And That's what happened" Nina was telling the other Squirrels about the predicament as Rachel and Terrifield were telling the Flying squirrels to get them, The Cocoa Beans had been making fools of them since they arrived, upsetting the status quo.
Miss Mucus set down her magazine looked at them, adding if Cocoa started this it won't be long before other Bean Scouts started following suit. Cocoa Bean has showed the other Beans Scouts that The Squirrel Scouts can be messed with.
"It my 20 years here, The Bean Scout have never gotten made us the fools, and now in less than a week, these new arrivals have hit us three times, Flying Squirrel; you need to wipe the floor with them and show them where they belong" Miss Mucus ordered as the Squirrels saluted.
At lunch the girls were sitting at the Food Terrance discussing strategy, focusing on how they were going to win, from what they saw the Bean Can was a capable vehicle. the girls were betting on the thing barely working but the way that Wolf talked about his car, it was like he had faith in it.
"We'll think of something" Nina pondered, it wasn't like they were master mechanics as Patsy thought about it. her best idea was to spy on the Cocoa Bean and hopefully find some secret to winning. Gretchen nodded as the Squirrels weren't above dirty tricks and doing what it took to win.
Things are finally lining up with my original story, also the Reason why the Squirrels were at a stalemate with the Cocoa Beans is that Patsy is allergic to cheese (The Cocoa beans don't know this though)
