Tadashi felt refreshed after a hot shower and after his and Thralls enjoyment. Stepping out onto the bridge Vanessa already had a smirk on her face "I hear someone got luuccckky" she teased
"Shut up. He's my man of course I got lucky how long till we reach this Wallace cluster?" He asked taking a seat in his chair. "We should be arriving soon we gotta drop outta warp outside the system though if we're gonna go through all these nebulae" she answered, Tadashi hit the com panel on his ship. "Hey Xavier I want you to focus on two things . One I need shields at their full power if we're going through all these Nebula. And then work on the tractor beam emitters I need them ready if we're gonna haul a Galaxy class back to a starbase"
"Might not have to boss if the ships in good shape a few minutes with her engine room and I can have her towing us back to starbase" Xavier answered.
"Just tune up the tractor beam just in case will ya?" Tadashi said folding his arms and leaning back in his chair the flash of them dropping out of warp illuminating the view screen and revealing the massive violet coloured cloud before them
"We've reached the Wallace Cluster. Sensors are gonna be all but useless in that nebula and the others have some Nasty plasma discharge they could give our shielding a good beating Lets try not to spend to much time in there" Vanessa said
"Well let's start with the ships last position and move in a grid search try your best to keep us on course Vanessa" Tadashi said. "I'm gonna try I'm flying by view screen once we go in unless you feel like sticking your head out a airlock and give me directions" she joked
"Harhar... Say you don't suppose the Birmingham transponder is active is it?" Tadashi asked
"If it was Starfleet would have found her during their search. If she's out here she's completely dead in the water but that does give me an idea time for some techno babble. Xavier grab one of those atmospheric probes we got last week" Vanessa said
"This better be a good idea those probes ain't cheep girl. Whatcha thinking?"
"Well the Galaxy class ain't exactly a tiny ship she's gonna have one hell of a metallic signeture. If you can program the probe to lock onto a titanium signature we can follow it slowly assuming I can keep it in eyesight. If I fiddle with the sensors I may get enough out of them to track the probes locator becon then follow it till it finds something" she said
"Sounds as good a plan as any but we lose that probe it comes out of your half of the reward " Tadashi said. "The hell it don't I don't see any of y'all coming up with an idea to find this ship!" She yelled in response
"Yeah yeah just do it Xavier before she hurts us" Tadashi cringed .
"Okidoki give me like five minutes to get it ready" Xavier responded cutting the com. Five minutes later they watched as the probe shot forward and zoomed into the dense nebula cloud
"I'm locked onto its locator beacon following it in" Vanessa said keeping her hands firm on the helm as they passed through the dense Nebula. The view screen growing staticy from the interference generated. The crew sat in silence as they moved cautiously through
"I still have the probe it looks like we're exiting this nebula and moving onto the next" she said as the purplish cloud began turning a dark red and flashes of plasma discharge illuminated the bridge. "Hold up probes changing course she's bearing to the right hard looks like there's a clear spot near the center of this sector she's heading there following " Vanessa reported as the bridge jolted from one of the plasma discharges
"Careful with my ship!" Tadashi yelled the bridge jolting once more and sparks flying from a nearby console
"Ten minutes till the clearing I'm losing track of the probe but that was the last place it was going" Vanessa said
"So what do we even know about this region?" Tadashi asked figuring they should kill a little time. "It's a decent sized sector near the breen Confederacy. It's filled with various nebula many constantly releasing dangerous plasma discharges most ships avoid this sector for good reason it's easy to get lost and crippled by those discharges" Vanessa responded "there was rumors of a planet with dilithiun somewhere around here though no one's been able to find it. " She added. "Clearing the nebula and entering the clearing" she said as screen began to clear up revealing open space surrounded by a rainbow of colours from the various Nebula
"Oh my god" they all said at once
