Chapter 8 Duets
Peter's POV
As I gathered Troup A into a circle, I started to reminded them about the duets are tomorrow.
"Alright, tomorrow is the duets as you may know." I told them as they nodded their heads.
"Have you guys got inspiration?" I wanted to know.
"Yes!!" They all answered.
The next thing that Red Jessica and i did, was showing our duets to the troupes. Once we were done, everyone started clapping.
"Okay...grab...a...partner...work...hard...kill..it...like...we...did." i told them as I was out of breathe.
Izzy's POV
"So, Jake are you ready to work on our duet?" I wanted to know.
"Yeah, I'm excited let's go!" Jake exclaimed with excitement.
Jake's POV
As Izzy and I were taking a break, I was talking to Bart and Cubby about our duet.
"So, Jake how are you and Izzy doing with your duet?" Cubby asked.
"Great! I love that Izzy and I are dance partners." I told them.
"So, when's the wedding?" Bart wanted to know.
"Bart, why?" I asked.
"Oh I'm sorry, are we talking about the dance duet?" Bart wanted to know.
"Yes!!" Both Cubby and I yelled.
"Also, Izzy and I are not ready to be husband and wife." I said.
"Cubby, come over here so we can work on our duet." Stormy called for him as he left.
"Well, Owlette and I need to work our duet, Jake. Good luck with yours." Bart said.
"JAKE, GET OVER HERE SO WE CAN WORK ON OUR DUET!!" Izzy screamed as I immediately ran over to her.
Izzy's POV
As Jake and I were working on our ballet and hip hop, we were working really hard on it.
"Come on Jake, let's pick up more." I told him.
"Alright!" Jake said with excitement as we picked up even more.
"Hey, this is fun." Jake exclaimed.
"I agree." I agreed with him as we kept on working hard.
Cubby's POV
As Stormy and i were taking a break I went over to the bench and started to read a magazine about coconuts. That's when Stormy came over and sat down next to me.
"Okay, you need to work on your moves more Cubby." Stormy said.
"Alright." I agreed.
"Come on, let's continue." Stormy exclaimed as she got up.
"Hey Stormy, look I found a picture of a coconut that's shaped like Peppa pig." I told her.
"Yeah, can I see that magazine for a second place?" Stormy wanted to know as she rolled it up and it me with it.
"Ow." I said while rubbing my head.
"Focus." Stormy said as I got up.
Stormy's POV
As Cubby and I were taking another break, he was in the middle of stretching with Bart. So, I walked up to Peter and pulled him aside to talk to him.
"Hey, Peter so I have been doing a lot of thinking. I've been in Troupe A for a long time, and I kinda wanna do mor.e." i told him.
"You're not quitting are you Stormy?' Peter wanted to know.
"No, no. I want to act, sing, surf and dance. I wanna do all of that stuff." I explained.
"Do you want to be like a triple threat?" Peter asked.
"Yeah! But I don't know where to start so I was hoping maybe you could help me." I exclaimed.
"Sure, I do know a few agents I could give them a cal and see if I could set up an appointment." Peter told me.
"Yay! Thanks Peter your the best." I thanked him as I hugged him.
"You are welcome." Peter said.
Jake's POV
Izzy and i were working on our duet again, until I began to sweat.
"Oh...man Izzy, can we please take a break?" I asked.
"NO!!" Izzy yelled.
"Okay." I answered as we kept on working on our duet.
Jake's POV
As we were all warming up I studio A, Red Jessica came in along with Peter.
Red Jessica's POV
"Can I have everyone quiet down please please?" I asked as everyone got up.
"Thanks! Peter has something to say." I said as Peter started to speak.
"Uh, okay we're gonna get started on the duets all right, is everybody warmed up we're good to go you've run over it with your partner. Yeah we're feeling good." I said.
Peter's POV
"Do we have any volunteers?" I wanted to know.
"Anyone, at all?" Red Jessica asked.
"Jake and I will go first Peter and Red Jessica." Izzy exclaimed while raising her hand.
"Wait what?" Jake asked.
As Jake and Izzy started to show us their duet, they were doing fantastic with the dance moves. After they were done, we all clapped our hands.
Next up was Cubby and Stormy. While they were showing their duet, cubby was doing some backflips as Stormy was doing cartwheels.
Once Bart and Owlette came on, they were doing some ballet dance. After they were done, we clapped our hands.
Next was Pirate Princess and Misty. As they were showing us their ballet, I was amazed along with Red Jessica.
As we all clapped our hands, I went over to them.
"Good job? Now, the two that I have on my list that didn't get a chance to preform last but absolutely not leat John and Finn.
"You guys need to do your thing." I told them while everyone stares at them.
"No, not ready." Finn said.
"Why didn't you two have a duet together?" I asked.
"You guys were the last two." I said.
"You know What, let's see if they can make something up on the spot." Red Jessica suggested.
"No." They both exclaimed.
"That is a great idea actually." I agreed with Peter.
"No!" Finn both said as they already started to make up a duet on the spot.
But the only thing they were both doing was just bumping into each other.
"Stop the music stop the music!! What the hell is that?" I asked.
"I am very disappointed in both of you." I told them as John walk off.
