Chapter 12 Does Your Mother Know
Izzy's POV
As Bart, Finn and I were still in Peter's cafe Bart started to speak.
"Okay, we just need to show Peter and Red Jessica that nobody really wants Jake to be dance captain." Bart told us.
"I have an idea, how about re-choreograph the regionals routine. We can make it better, and good include people's ideas." I explained.
"Yeah, we can show it to Peter and then he'll have to pick you as dance captain." Finn agreed with my plan.
"He's done, so when do we start then?" Bart asked.
"Hahaha, no time like the present." I told the boy.
Jake's POV
Once Red Jessica walked me into Peter Pan's office, I looked at him and apparently he was not happy with me for some reason.
"Sit down Jake." Peter exclaimed as I sat down.
"Can I turn on the vibrating chair?" I asked.
"No!" Peter yelled.
"Jake, word on the street is, that you and Owlette have not been cooperating and we're here to discuss it." Red Jessica said.
"We know that you're upset with Owlette being late, but you need to take it easy on her." Peter exclaimed.
"How you even ask her why she was late?" Peter wanted to know.
"I would love to ask her...if she was here." I answered.
"End of discussion, you have to apologize." Red Jessica said.
"End of discussion? I'm not apologizing." I told them both.
"Jake Alex Hutchinson, if you want to continue as dance Captain you will apologize Mr." Peter exclaimed.
"You're not serious?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm definitely serious. But God sacks you're 17. Stop being a bully to people especially towards women. Owlette is a sweet girl." Peter told me.
"Fine I'll apologize." I answered.
"Good, I am glad we are on the same page here Jake. Now, get out of my office!!" Peter screamed as I ran out.
Owlette's POV
"I don't want to take Jake side, but I don't really understand why you've been so distracted it really takes away from the group." Cubby told me.
I still didn't want anyone to know about my job.
"Can we please change the subject?" I asked as Cubby nodded.
"Lisa, don't you have a rehearsal to be at or something?" I asked.
"Oh, yeah I should probably go." Lisa answered as she left.
"Bye guys, see you later." Lisa shouted.
Jake's POV
As I walked inside Peter's Cafe, I began to call Owlette's name.
"Excuse me, Owlette? I called her name.
"Yeah!" Owlette exclaimed.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked.
"Um, sure." Owlette answered.
"I just came here to apologize to you. What I did was really professional and I mean I...I'm really sorry." I apologized.
"You're part of Troupe A and you're an amazing dancer and you're meant to be in Troupe A." I told her with tears coming down my cheeks.
"Really?" Owlette asked as she felt tears coming down her face.
"Yeah." I said.
"I accept your apology Jake, it takes a lot of guts to get up in front of everyone and admits that I'm sorry." Owlette told me as we hugged.
"Whatever you do don't tell Izzy about this hug." I reminded her.
"Calm down." Owlette said.
Izzy's POV
Bart, Finn and I are in studio B re-choreographing the regionals routine. I was choreographing a new dance to replace Jake as dance captain.
They'll all putting in their own input so it's turning out great because they all have a day in it. The song they're dancing to is Where Have You Been by Rihanna. This was new and fresh and different like even better than I expected it to be.
Jake's POV
As almost everyone is in Studio A, Red Jessica walk in with her clipboard.
"Okay okay, gather up everyone." She exclaimed.
"Wait, where is Bart, Finn, and Izzy?" Red Jessica asked.
"Oh I thought I saw them in Studio B." John told her.
"Studio B? What are they doing in studio B?" Red Jessica wanted to know.
"Yeah." I told her.
"Are you sure? Okay I'll be back." Red Jessica said as she left.
After I heard that three of my best dancers aren't in studio A I was kind of curious on what they were doing.
"John, please come here." I told him.
"So I was wondering if you could tell me what you saw in Studio B." I exclaimed.
"I just walked by, and saw that Finn, Bart, and Izzy were in there." John said.
"Were they sitting or standing?" I wanted to know.
"They were standing." John answered.
"Are they in a formation?" I exclaimed.
Izzy's POV
Bart, Finn and I are were still rehearsing the new routine. That's when Red Jessica walked in.
"Izzy, Finn and Bart!" Red Jessica called our names thinking we're all busted.
"Rehearsal is in studio A." Red Jessica exclaimed.
"Oh! It's supposed to be in Studio A?" Bart asked as he was covering for us.
"Yes!" Red Jessica answered.
"We were wondering where everyone was." Bart said.
"No worries, come on hurry up! Go go go leave." Red Jessica told us as all three of us went back to Studio A.
"Welcome to class! Thank you for joining us! It actually started 5 minutes ago, let's get in our first positions everyone." Jake exclaimed.
"Positions, positions guys to 100%." Red Jessica told us.
"You ready?" Red Jessica asked.
"Yeah!" Jake answered as the dance began.
I think Jake needs to bring in some new ideas and we all have great ideas in the group. But unfortunately he doesn't consider any of them. The dance was now over.
"Hold. Hold...two three release." Red Jessica said.
"Nice Finn, remember to hold that last post okay?" Red Jessica told him.
"Girls pick up the energy." Red Jessica said.
Izzy's POV
Finn, Bart and I were now back in studio B rehearsing our new regionals routine. That's when Cubby walked in.
"What are you doing in Studio B?" Cubby wanted to know.
I wasn't unsure if we should invite cubby into the dance or not. But after doing some thinking, we nodded our heads in agreement to tell him.
"Uh...we've kind of got something to show you man." Bart said.
"All right, show me." Cubby exclaimed as I was examining him cuz he was now walking funny but I just focused on the three of us as we begin to show cubby our new regional routine.
We've been forced to show the rest of our routine and tell him what's up.
Just hope it works out.
"So basically we are doing a brand new routine rehearsal so we can kick Jake out as Captain and have Izzy our captain instead of that no good meanie 17 year old Jake. That's all we have so far." Bart explained.
"So, Cubby what do you think?" I asked.
"Hold up a second, let me get this straight you guys made this new routine to overthrow Jake, as dance captain so that Izzy can be dance captain?" Cubby exclaimed.
"Is that right? Am I right?" Cubby asked.
"That's right!" I answered.
"Really?" Cubby exclaimed.
"That's what you brought lights worked out." Cubby said.
I was a little worried as I waited for Cubby's reaction. We literally put it together a few minutes ago, so it's kind of messy I just hope he doesn't tell Jake. I mean, if Cubby doesn't like the dance it could be over for us.
"I love it!" Cubby replied as Finn, Bart and I sigh in relief.
Cubby's POV
"You know what? I've got some good ideas. I mean I don't want you know we just had a little bit of you know some..." I said.
"But you're going to have to teach us." Finn told me.
"Yeah, I..." I was about to say something but Bart save my butt.
"No problem man all right." Bart said.
I was loving Cubby's moves. As I think it's been the best thing to include Cubby in our dance. I just hope cubby doesn't tattletale on us or Jake or even anyone else.
Stormy's POV
Pirate Princess was teaching me acting lessons right now, as she started to act.
"So, I'm sitting down on the bus with my mom's gift beside me and someone honks outside and I go look and I turn back and the gift for my mom was gone! I don't know where it went! What am I going to do? Her birthday is tomorrow!" Pirate Princess acted while fake crying as I was clapping.
"That was amazing." I told her.
"Thanks!" Pirate Princess thanked me.
"How do you do that?" I wanted to know.
"Pirate Princess is a great actress!" She answered.
"What monologue do you have for today?" Pirate Princess asked.
"I was supposed to have a monologue??" I exclaimed.
"For your big audition with the agent." Pirate Princess said.
"I can be like really dramatic I know a bit of Shakespeare." I told her.
"Okay, show me what you got." Pirate Princess answered.
"To be, or not to be that is the question. I whether it is Noble, I'm the mind to stuff the ings and arrows of outrageous fortune and scene." I finished.
"That monologue makes me want to do this..." Pirate Princess exclaimed as she started to laugh.
"What?" I wanted to know.
"Oh." I said.
"Yeah, lot of work to do!" Pirate Princess said as she grabbed my hand.
Izzy's POV
As Finn Bart and I were in studio B, talking about our regionals routine while we were sitting on the floor Bart started to speak.
"With Cubby and all that cutting, it's going to be dope." Bart exclaimed.
"Like this thing who would've thought of that." I said.
"I know." Bart agreed.
"So, sick!" Finn told us.
"What do you think Jake would do if he found out right now?" I asked.
"Jake wouldn't probably go to Peter Pan." Bart said.
"He'd flip." Finn told us.
"Yeah." Bart answered.
"I'd probably rip my head off." I exclaimed.
"We would rip all of our heads off." Finn told me.
As we heard a knock on the door we have a secret knock to the song just so we know who's coming in.
"Come in!" I said as Cubby walked in.
"Guys!" Cubby exclaimed.
"Yo, what's up man!" Bart said.
"We got you juice." I told him.
"Hi!" Finn greeted.
"I..uh kind of did something." Cubby started.
"What?" Finn asked.
"I...told somebody about the dance." Cubby exclaimed.
"What?" I said.
"Who? Bart asked.
As I was really nervous, I didn't know who Cubby told as this was getting out of hand as Misty walked in.
"Jake's your boyfriend it's going to be war." Misty told me.
"Is the dance more important than your boyfriend Izzy?" Misty wanted to know.
"Yeah but, by boyfriend doesn't deserve to be dance Captain. He's not. He's teasing us apart more than he's bringing us together." I told her.
"I'll join in." Misty said.
Having Misty join the routine is awesome. Between her technique and Cubby's style, I think we're going to have some great moves.
Stormy's POV
As I was now fake crying, Pirate Princess began to speak again.
"Okay, now you're frightened and someone's scaring you." Pirate Princess said as I was now fake screaming.
"Okay that's great, now you're sad." Pirate Princess exclaimed as I began to fake cry once again.
"Awesome now you're mad!" Pirate Princess said as I continued to be mad.
"Perfect, you're mad twice and waterworks comes out." Pirate Princess said as I fake cried again.
"Oh he's coming keep going!"" Pirate Princess said as I continued pm my acting.
Ask Peter runs over to me putting his hand on my shoulder, he starts to speak.
"Stormy, honey honey it's okay it's okay don't cry you're going to get an agent. You don't need to worry about it you're going to get one okay?" Peter said as I stopped fake crying and began to laugh.
"Really?!" Peter exclaimed while Pirate Princess and I both began to laugh.
"Okay, I'm really impressed by your acting, I think you can do this." Peter exclaimed.
"You are going to get an agent in no time stormy." Peter told me.
"Really?" I asked.
"But only if we're on time let's go!" Peter exclaimed as we both left the studio.
"Good luck Stormy!" Pirate Princess said as I waved goodbye to her.
"Thank you!" I answered.
"See you." Pirate Princess exclaimed.
Izzy's POV
Finn, Bart, Cubby and Misty are sitting in studio B while Bart Simpson was talking about what he saw on YouTube.
"This would be so much better with more people."
We started talking about who should be added to the group.
"If we get three boys and three girls, it's even. Formation would be better." Misty said.
"Even if we just added one more." I exclaimed.
"Yeah we need an even number." Bart exclaimed.
"We need a girl." Finn told us.
"Guys we're missing rehearsal." I told them.
"Aw man." Bart groans.
"Come on let's go." I said.
"Aw come on Izzy." The boys groans as we headed to Studio A.
Jake's POV
As it was just Owlette, John and Pirate Princess in studio A, Red Jessica came in as she started to speak.
"Can I have everyone's attention please?" Red Jessica asked.
"Where the heck is everybody?" Red Jessica wanted to know.
"I'm not sure." I told her as the others walked in.
I wasn't sure what was going on here but I think something's going on. I'll play it cool for now but I will keep my eye on them.
"Let's take it from the ball chain step here we go!" I exclaimed as I then over heard Owlette talking to Red Jessica.
Owlette's POV
"Can I ask you something please Red Jessica?" I asked.
"Hit me!" Red Jessica answered.
"I've been practicing on a new move." I told her.
"Okay, new moves?" Red Jessica questioned.
"Yeah, I think that we should put it in Jake's routine, so you know that ball change kick right?" I asked.
"Yep." Red Jessica answered.
"So i suggest my move." I told her as Jake came walking over to us.
Jake's POV
"Sorry I just couldn't help over hearing but as a dance Captain just because it's my dance maybe I could see it?" I asked.
"I suggest my moves." Owlette told me.
"That's really pretty and looks great on you, but put it in one of your routines not one of my routines." I explained.
"Alright." Owlette said.
"Okay." I agreed with her.
"All right everybody let's take it from the ball change kick again." I shouted as everyone got back into their positions.
Stormy's POV
As Peter and I were walking back into the studio, after my audition, Peter Pan started to speak.
"Don't worry okay?" Peter assumed me.
"You sure?" I wanted to know.
"Yes." Peter exclaimed.
"So, red carpet girl what's up? How was it?" Pirate Princess asked as she got up from the bench.
"Eh, it was okay whatever." I answered.
"Ugh! You did phenomenal! You have nothing to worry about. You should be proud." Peter exclaimed.
"I'm sure it was amazing!" Pirate Princess said.
"Anyway, how was rehearsal?" I asked.
"You didn't miss a thing." Pirate Princess answered.
"You sure." I said.
"I am positive like nothing." Pirate Princess answered as the phone in Peter's office started to ring.
"Excuse me ladies!" Peter told us as he went into his office to answer the phone.
"So, what did you do?" Which monologue?" Pirate Princess wanted to know.
"Well, I did a little bit of Shakespeare, and then like improvised with other things." I answered.
"Did you.." Pirate Princess was about to ask me another question but got cut off by Peter.
"Stormy the phone calls for you can you please come to my office." Peter Pan exam as I went into his office.
"Oh." I said.
"I wonder what he wants." Pirate Princess wanted to know.
"I don't know but like I don't feel the best about if you know." I told her as we both walked into Peter Pan's office.
"No I'm sure you did amazing." Peter exclaimed.
"Like I said before stormy, the phone calls for you." Peter told me.
"Really? who is it?" I asked.
"Well it can't be Cubby that's for sure." Peter joked.
"Just give me the phone." I told him as Peter passes me the phone.
"Okay cool I totally appreciate it thank you! Okay you too bye-bye." I told the person as hung up.
"Who is it?" Pirate Princess asked.
"I have an agent!" I told her.
"What? shut up!" Pirate Princess exclaimed.
"Yeah!" I said.
"Whoa, congratulations! Yes!" Pirate Princess congratulated me as we both hug each other.
Congratulations Stormy, I am happy for you." Peter said as we hugged each other.
Owlette's POV
As Cubby, Bart, Finn Izzy, and Misty were showing their dance to me I was watching this new dance routine and it was awesome. There was some of every person's style of dance in the groove. It looks like a lot of fun and nothing like we did with Jake. As clapped I was amazed by their dance.
"So, what do you think Owlette?" Izzy asked.
"It's amazing." I answered.
"Yeah?" They wanted to know.
"It's so good. But what's it for?" I asked as they all looked at each other.
"It's for Regionals." Izzy answered.
"I'm sorry what?" I exclaimed.
"Does Jake know about this?" I asked.
"Not exactly." Izzy told me.
"And we'd like to keep it that way." Cubby said.
"Guys, do you know how mad Jake would be if he found out you would doing a dance behind his back?" I wanted to know.
"Do you?" I asked again.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not interested. And if you knew what was good for you, you wouldn't be even doing this right now." I said as I walked out of studio B.
