Chapter Summary: Oliver discusses his relationship with Christina with his teammates and the couple runs into a not so welcome person on their date.

The next morning, Oliver groaned and slapped the off button of his alarm clock. He glanced tiredly at the clock and it flashed '4:30am.' He reluctantly got out of bed and began changing into his uniform. Initially, he lived in a bachelor pad but now he moved into a house about three years ago. He had some feminine influences from his mum but it would be nice to have some input from Chrissy.

He shook his head. This is much too fast. They've only been together almost six months but he could see himself getting serious about Chrissy. He finished getting dressed and grabbed his Quidditch equipment and apparated to the Quidditch Pitch. He walked towards the locker room and saw a blonde man, the seeker Todd Yorke.

"Hey Wood!" Todd greeted turning towards him

Oliver stifled a yawn. "Hey Yorke."

"That's a new scarf, isn't it?" one of the beaters, Samuel Davis, noticed the red scarf around his neck.

"It's Christina's, she gave it to me last night since I gave her my Puddlemere scarf," Oliver explained with a smile.

"Switching scarves, how cute. I think this is the most serious you've been about a girl in a while, right?"

Oliver smiled. "It is. Though, the last girl I was serious about didn't seem to want to be serious about me."

"True but she was just a Quaffle Bunny. Christina seems like the real deal."

"It sure feels like it."

"You met her family, didn't you?" Katie Bell asked.

Oliver's smile widened. "I did. Her daughter is so cute. She's obsessed with Quidditch and wants to be a seeker."

"What time did you leave her house?" Katie asked.

"Around 8. I told her I had an early practice. We may meet up for a cup of tea if I'm not too tired. "

Katie nodded as the captain and head chaser Adam Lincoln walked in.

After getting dressed, the team walked out to the Pitch. They flew laps around the Pitch for the first hour or so, then for the next hour the chasers shot goals on Oliver. He missed a couple.

"Daydreaming about Christina?" Katie teased.

Oliver blushed. After saying goodbye to the team, he apparated back home. It was nearly nine and he was tired and sore. Maybe he'll take a short nap and contact Christina. He kicked off his shoes and went up to bed. He fell asleep immediately.

Around 4 hours later, he woke up to his phone blaring in his ear. His brown eyes shot open and he barely missed the call. He noticed he had a few voicemails and decided to check them.

"Hey Ollie. How was practice? Are we still on for our spot of tea or are you too tired? Maybe you're taking a nap. I'll call you later."

He smiled as the message ended. He checked the clock and it was nearly 1. His stomach growled loudly. He decided to call Christina back.

"Hello," she greeted.

He smiled. "Hey Chrissy."

"Hey Ollie. How was practice?" she asked again.

"It went well. I was incredibly tired so I took a four hour nap when I got home. I'm still a little sore."

"Are you still up for our meeting?"

"I am. But we can grab a late lunch early dinner instead. I'm famished," he suggested as his stomach growled again.

"Sounds good."

"How's your day been?" he asked.

"It's been good. Effie is spending the day with Justin and his girlfriend Eliza."

Oliver nodded. "I'll meet you in about an hour, okay?"

"Sounds good."

They hung up. He changed out of his uniform and changed into some muggle denim jeans and a faded red shirt. He quickly brushed his hair and travelled to the restaurant where he was meeting Chrissy.

He noticed she was looking uncomfortable in the conversation that she was currently in. He walked over and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Oh, hey Ollie," she greeted, desperately wanting to get out of the conversation.

"You alright, love?"

"No, I'm not."

"I think you should leave her alone, mate. She's uncomfortable," Oliver said, glaring at the man.

The man replied with a sneer. "I shouldn't make her uncomfortable, she's my ex-wife."

"So, you're the git who abandoned her?" Oliver asked, clenching his fist behind Christina's back.

"I see she talks about me," he said smugly.

"You're not worth talking about!" Christina shouted at him.

Scott sneered again. "Neither are you. I don't know why I dated you for so long. I only married you because you were knocked up."

"I was going to end our engagement before I found out I was pregnant with Effie," she told him.

"How's that little freak?"

"She's not a freak! She's your bloody daughter. She's been asking about you lately and I don't want to tell her that the fact that she inherited her uncle's abilities drove her father away."

Scott looked at Oliver. "I'm sure, he's just waiting to get in your knickers. Though, it's nothing to write home about. You'll probably dump her the minute you get what you want like I should've."

"Despite the fact that we've only been together for almost six months. I'm completely devoted to Chrissy and Bethany."

The declaration warmed Christina's heart but it also shocked her. Maybe it just came out since Oliver was defending her.

Scott laughed. "Have fun with your little freaky family then. I won't have anything to do with you."

"Good riddance!"

Scott walked away and immediately Christina thanked Oliver with a passionate kiss.

"I meant every word I said, Chrissy. I've been looking for a relationship that wasn't just based on the fact that I'm famous and the woman just wanting to say she shagged a Quidditch player."

Christina smiled.

"You don't have to say the words back yet if you're not ready, I'll wait," Oliver assured her.

She nodded as Oliver's stomach growled loudly in interruption.

"I'm famished, are you still in the mood for our date?"

Christina nodded. "Honestly, I already ate but I might steal some of your food."

"If I let you," he teased.

She pouted as he chuckled and kissed her temple before they walked into the small cafe. They were led to a small table and handed menus. They ordered their drinks and Oliver ordered his meal.

"It looks good, Oliver but I know you're starving so I won't even try."

"Thanks love."

She sipped her drink as she watched Oliver scarf down his meal. After they finished, Oliver paid and they left. They window shopped in muggle London.

"You know your arse looks amazing in those jeans, Oliver," Christina said cheekily.

"Really?"

She nodded. They finished window shopping and said goodbye.
