Chapter 18 Make You Stay
Previously on Regionals 2023...
Jake's POV
"Guys, Stormy and John are leaving the studio." Owlette exclaimed.
"What?" We all said in shock.
"Yeah, I overheard John and story talking about it and John was saying that they're planning on moving to the Mer dance." Owlette explained even further.
"The Mer dance? Is that the studio where Stormy's big sister Marina is?" Finn asked.
"YES!!" We all yelled.
"No, way!" Red Jessica exclaimed.
"The Mer Dance? Okay, we may not win regionals now." Peter said.
"They keep saying they want to do the stuff for the troupe, but then they leave. I mean come on!" Cubby exclaimed in anger.
"They're always about themselves we know that for sure." Pirate Princess said.
"But, I think if we talk to them or something they'll want to come back" Izzy said.
"Uh hello, no bad idea."' Owlette told her.
"I know that we weren't really hard to go to Regionals and I really want to go but.." Izzy was about to finish as Cubby asked her something.
Wait a minute, are you suggesting that we not go to Regionals? Who are you I'm one of them done with Jake's girlfriend?" Cubby asked.
"I don't want to say that... Owlette, we're going to Regionals." Izzy exclaimed.
"It's out of the question." Finn told her.
"The amount of stuff we've sacrificed!" Owlette said.
"We're going!" I told her.
"I don't care I have to take my grandma we are taking 10 people." Pirate Princess said.
"All right everyone calm down all right calm down we want to go to regionals." Peter told us to calm down.
"Yes, Peter." We answered.
", This is what we're going to do, is we're going to audition from Troupe B." Peter told us.
"Yup!" Finn exclaimed.
"Okay." Peter said.
"Yeah, they still haven't been accepted to the mer dance." Misty said.
"Ugh, Misty did you really have to bring that up?" We all wanted to know while we rolled our eyes.
"We should still have hope. They haven't auditioned." Misty said.
Owlette's POV
"So let me get this straight, we're just supposed to wait for them to get into the Mer dance go to Regionals, then beat us? Like we have to do something now." I said.
Regionals is so soon, we don't have time to wait around.
"We'll bring two people from Troupe B. There's Lisa, Catboy. Let's see who else is there." Peter exclaimed.
"Oh there's James." Misty told him.
"And it's not forget Emily." Peter pointed out.
Troupe B, is full of awesome dancers. Not only we will find good dancers, we will find answers better than John and Stormy.
"So, are we going to do this?" Peter asked as he put his hand in.
"Yeah, we are!" Cubby exclaimed.
"Let's do this!" Finn told everyone as we all put our hands in.
"The Never Dance!" Peter cheered.
"Whoo!" We all said as we all throw our hands in the air.
Izzy's POV
"All right welcome to the A Troupe audition, B Troupe!" I welcomed them as they clapped their hands and cheered.
"Whoo hoo, I love you Izzy!" I heard Jake say in the background.
"I love you too Jake but let me concentrate." I told him.
"So, no there are two spots open in Troupe A. Troupe e, is a big jump from Troupe B." I told them.
"Also and I'm very serious about this I want all of you and it's really important one of your guys be serious. Yeah that's right I'm looking at you catboy." I said while looking at Catboy.
"Oh calm down I'm always serious." Catboy told me.
"Not during missions your not." Owlette said.
That's when Troupe B walk back to the back.
"So just so you know I'll be solos like four counts of eight then we'll go through choreography after. We'll have you go first." I exclaimed.
"So Charlie, why do you dance?" I asked.
"Because I like entertaining people I like being the center of attention." Charlie told me as hw did a backflip.
"Right after I'm on stage, it's always fun being up there.
"Cool!" I answered.
"Freestyle is a big part of dance we just want to see what you can bring to the table." I told him as Charlie did his solo.
Charlie was dancing to I Do by Drew Seeley.
The auditions was going pretty smoothly.
Troupe B, savers are...okay, we have better dancers in Troupe A. But we've gotta so what they've gotta do.
"So, Sierra, why do you dance Sierra?" I asked.
"I dance cos I have to move. Trying to jump on or turn faster and her new tricks and try new things, it what makes me happy." Sierra exclaimed.
"Good for you!" I told her.
"Thanks." Sierra thanked me.
"James, why do you dance?" I wanted to know.
"I like to dance because I find it kind of makes people smile and um... I feel as if smiling kind of brings the world a little bit." James said.
"Okay thank you." I thanked him.
"Catboy, why do you dance?" I exclaimed.
"Well, some people say I don't listen and I do my own things so I love to express that with my dancing. It's embarrassing but I really miss Owlette and kind of want to see her so I'd love to make Troupe A! Yeah that's it!" Catboy exclaimed.
"Aww, you miss Owlette that's so sweet." I told him as I started to laugh.
"Sorry that's embarrassing!" Catboy said.
"Cool." I told him.
"That's awkward." Catboy exclaimed.
"Okay." I answered.
"But yeah." Catboy said.
Catboy's POV
Okay, that was weird telling Izzy that you know they only reason why I want to be in trouble a is because of Owlette is kind of lame. It's just weird that I said that?
Owlette's POV
Meanwhile, Izzy and I were testing Bart on his math knowledge through video chat.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Bart asked.
"How are you doing?" I wanted to know.
"Um, I'm doing all right." Bart answered.
"We're here to do your daily math pop quiz. Are you ready?" I asked.
"... yay..." Bart exclaimed sarcastically.
He's not looking forward to it.
"Yeah, but I made flash cards so..." I told him.
"Okay, try okay." Bart said.
Everyone in troupe A was taking shifts on helping Bart with his math.
"What is cosecant?" Izzy asked.
"Um, the inverse of cosine." Bart answered.
"Yes, correct!" I told him.
"Good!" Izzy exclaimed.
"Great job." I said.
"Yay!" Izzy exclaimed with a smile.
"Does sines to the power of 4 theta minus cos to the power of 4. Times theta equal 2 sines squared theta 1." I asked.
"Um...3?" Bart said.
"What? No no... You just have to say if it's equal or not." I told him.
"Yes?" Bart exclaimed.
"No." Izzy said.
"No!"' Bart exclaimed.
"Okay, let's do another one." I said.
"Yeah." Izzy answered.
"Because you need to get these right." I was being serious.
Right now, I really don't know if he'll make it back. But I really hope he does cos he's a huge part of Troupe A.
"I don't know if I can learn all these materials in time and I'm kind of stressed about learning to dance." Bart said.
"I've got to get to know it a little better I think." Bart said.
"Well I mean I guess I could come teach you?" I told him as Bart smiled.
"Yeah that'd be cool I'm done for that." Bart answered.
"It's technically not at the studio and I mean as long as your mom doesn't see you dancing it doesn't matter if other people see you dancing." I explained.
Stormy's POV
Once John and I arrived at the Mer Dance academy, we were amazed by everything.
"This place is huge!" I exclaimed.
"This is their B-Studio!" John said.
"Look, John they have a piano!" I told him.
"Yeah, they also have a boom box as well." John said.
"This studio is amazing!" I exclaimed with excitement.
""Hmm, do they show movies in here?" I wanted to know.
"This is insane Storms!" John said.
"Compared to the Never Dance it doesn't even compare." I told him as the dance captain and the owner walked in.
"So, I hear you two would like to audition for The Mer Academy." The owner Alisha said.
"Yes, that is correct." John answered.
"Do you understand who we are?" Marina asked.
John's POV
"Yes we do, that's why we came here." I told her.
"And why?" Marina wanted to know.
"Stormy and I are two of the best dancers from our studio." I exclaimed.
"And your studio is?" Marina asked.
"The Never Dance." I answered.
"Hmm, I don't think I've heard of The Never Dance." Alisha exclaimed.
"Oh I've heard of it but isn't it pretty wreck?" Marina said.
"No." I told her.
Stormy's POV
"Dry, though." I mumbled underneath my breath so no one would hear me.
"It's really completive actually." John said.
"Hm, nice night gown, by the way, it's really 50s." Marina exclaimed.
Alisha's POV
"What do think Marina?" I asked.
"I think we should talk about it." Marina answered.
"Okay, we'll go chat and we'll be back you two." I told them.
"All right." John answered.
Owlette's POV
Right now I was at Bart's school just to keep him up on the choreography of the regionals routine. But that's when I saw Bart leave the school.
"I can't, I'm sorry there's too much on my plate right now okay?" Bart told me.
"What! No Bart com on!" I said.
"My teacher just scheduled a math retest for tomorrow." Bart exclaimed.
"So? You know this stuff Bart. You've been studying for weeks." I told him.
"Just relax okay?" I said.
"I have to get tutored after class, I still don't know it!" Bart told me.
"Okay yes you do." I answered.
"No I don't!" Bart said.
"Okay, you know what? Let me prove it to you here." I exclaimed while handing him the flashcards that took out of my backpack.
"Oh my gosh! Did you bring the flash cards?" Bart wanted to know.
"Yes." I answered.
"Can you just me the angle?" I asked.
"I don't know 82! I have no idea." Bart said.
"This is a right angle right!" I told him.
"Yeah." Bart answered.
"Right angle triangle..." I told him.
""Cos 90%." Bart said.
"Exactly." I answered.
"How many degrees are left over to make the other two?" I wanted it to know.
"45%." Bart exclaimed.
"Exactly, you just figured it out." I said.
"Okay that's one question there's going to be Ike 50 on the test." Bart told me.
"One out of 50 what is that like 2%." Bart said as I smiled.
"Exactly you just figured out another math question." I said.
"I do think Bart will pass his exam, he just has to believe in himself.
Cubby's POV
As I was waiting outside the Mer Dance academy, I was texting Stormy to come out here right now.
"Cubby? What are you doing here?" Stormy asked.
"Red Jessica, and Peter are auditioning Troupe B." I told her.
"Well, that's probably a good decision." Stormy exclaimed as her phone beeped.
"Look, Cubby I really have to go back in." Stormy said.
"Stormy, I just want to get back together with you, I really miss you so much." I told her.
"Well, you hurt me a lot with doing that dance I can't even trust you." Story said.
"I know but.." I was going to continue as Stormy's phone went off again.
"You're auditioning for the Mer Academy." I told her.
"And I want you to get to the point." Stormy said.
"Well...what about us?" I asked.
"Ugh, Cubby get this through ahead there is no us anymore I broke up with you." Stormy said.
"I know we broke up, but I just want to know where we are in our relationship." I wanted to know.
"I really don't want to be with you." Stormy exclaimed as we heard the door open and it was John
"Ugh, there you are Stormy! Marina and Alisha have made up their mind." John told her.
John's POV
"We need to go, I've been looking everywhere for you." I said.
"Okay, Cubby go. I never want to see you again." Stormy exclaimed as she ran back inside.
Cubby's POV
"Good luck..." I whispered.
"Hurry up, Stormy!" John said.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Stormy answered.
Stormy's POV
"I'm serious come inside now!" John told me.
"Let's just go inside." I said as we went inside the building as we closer the door.
Cubby's POV
After stormy left, I was really heartbroken. I lost my Stormy for good this time. And there's no way we can patch things up now because she broke up with me you just because I did a dance routine with Izzy, behind her back. That's when I turned around and walked away really sad as tears came down my cheeks.
Stormy's POV
I was still really nervous but a little relieved when my big sister Marina Alisha, decided that John and I can audition.
"Yes! Did you hear that John? You and I can audition. Isn't that amazing?" I asked.
"Yeah it is! I can ask you on a date. I'm so sorry I did not mean to ask you that okay I'm sorry." John apologized as I kissed his cheek.
"It's okay. And yes I would love to go on a date with you, John." I told him.
"Excuse me, but can you excuse me and my little sister yes or 1 minute?" Marina asked as she pulled me away.
"Your relationship with cubby just ended you really want to go out with John?" Marina asked.
"I know it's a new big step for me, but to be honest John doesn't have nobody else. He has no friends. And I think he's kind of funny." I told her.
"Excuse me, I hate to break this little conversation you girls are having right now but we need to continue please." Alisha told us.
"You're right we are sorry." Both Marina and I apologized.
"Okay, let's see what you've got." Alisha told us.
"Where is going to go get changed and we'll be right back." John exclaimed as we both ran to our new lockers to get changed.
Even though I was happy that John and I finally got something new, I was a little nervous but still relieved when Marina and Alisha decided that John and I can audition. Once we returned with our new costumes, we started to show them what we got.
Owlette's POV
As Bart Simpson got every question after I asked him, he immediately gave me high five but then decided to hug me.
"High five?" Bart asked.
"High five." I told him as he immediately hugged me.
"Thanks Owlette, your the coolest friend I have ever had. Minus Milhouse." Bart said.
"You're welcome Bart." I exclaimed.
Bart's POV
I got every single question right that Owlette asked me and I know that I can pass my math exam.
"Okay, Bart follow me ready?" Owlette asked as she began to dance while I followed her footsteps.
Some of the Students were looking at Owlette dance.
"I'm dancing." Owlette said.
"Yo, there's nothing to see hit the road." I yelled as they all started to walk away.
"Okay, well then let me teach you." Owlette told me.
"So, go slowly." I said as I throw my bag on the floor.
"Fine." Owlette exclaimed.
"From the top." I said as we started to dance together.
"Okay, ready?" Owlette asked.
"Yeah." I answered.
"One two..." Owlette exclaimed.
Back at the Troupe A auditions...
Izzy's POV
"Who's left?" I asked.
"Me." Lisa said as she raised her hand while everyone cheered and clapped.
"Why do you want to dance?"
"The reason I want to dance is because I was inspired by my mother who never got a chance to dance and I want to achieve that dream.
"Hmm." I exclaimed with a smile.
"I want to move a lot when I hear music and I started to dance with other kids." Lisa explained.
"Yeah." I said.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
"Yes, ma'am." Lisa told me as I started the music and she started to dance.
Once she was finished, we all clapped our hands and cheered.
John's POV
As I was auditioning for The Mer Dance Academy, I was in the middle of dancing.
This is where I want to be, I can't stay at The Never Dance and be happy knowing that I got put in the back row. It's just time for me to take the next step away from The Never Dance.
Bart's POV
As Owlette and I were doing the choreography, it kind of just made me forget about all the math and everything and it just makes me realize that I really don't want to stop dancing at the studio.
Stormy's POV
As I was auditioning at the Mer Academy, I was dancing. This studio was amazing I love to dance and that's all I want to do. John and I both want a fresh start.
Lisa's POV
I was in the middle of auditioning and still dancing.
John's POV
I was really pulling off my best tricks while auditioning.
Stormy's POV
I was also pulling off my best tricks as well.
Bart's POV
Owlette and I were still dancing.
Lisa's POV
The other troupe B and I were doing choreography dance.
Owlette's POV
Bart Simpson and I were during the original routine.

I was pulling off my best tricks ever.
John's POV
I was also pulling off my best tricks ever.
Lisa's POV
Troupe B choreography was over, as everyone clapped their hands.
"Thank you guys! If we could swap with the next group and then we'll go over the corner to be with you guys." Izzy told us.
I've been working so hard I wouldn't even believe her. I've been in the studio every single night. I just really really hope, I make it this time.
Lisa's POV
As I was sitting in Peter's Cafe reading a book, and waiting to hear if I got into Troupe A, I thought about the addition it went really really well, I'm just anxious right now. I just want to know already. I also started to stare at my phone. I talked to Cubby and he said he would text me if he heard anything but still no text. That's when I started to call Catboy, who was sitting across from me.
"Catboy did you hear anything yet?" I asked.
"Who are you, again?" Catboy exclaimed.
"Ugh, I'm Lisa Simpson, Bart's little sister." I told him.
"Oh sorry. And no, I haven't heard anything yet I'll let you know." Catboy exclaimed as he looked at his phone.
Izzy's POV
"All right so we've talked it through and we have made a decision of the to individuals that will move up from Troupe B in to Troupe A for Regionals. And we just wanted to let you guys know first before giving them the news." Peter exclaimed
Red Jessica's POV
"So, we've done a lot of deliberating, and a lot of talented dancers and the two individuals..." Red Jessica said.
"They've really improved." I told them.
"Yeah, definitely." Peter exclaimed.
"Yeah a lot!" Red Jessica said.
Izzy's POV
"And the two individuals that will be moving up from Troupe B to Troupe A is..." Red Jessica almost said as we all then heard the door open and it was Stormy.
"Hi. Are there still auditions for Troupe A?" Stormy asked.
"Well, no they're finished." Peter told her.
Stormy walking back in here is so weird and find it ridiculous. If you left, you left. Why come back? I asked.
"Do you think you can make an exception?" I wanted to know.
"Do you think I could audition?" Stormy exclaimed as Peter looked at me, and I looked back at him.
