Chapter 2: Vision of what's to come
"How the heck are we even going to do this?!"
Danny and his friends were making their way to Fenton works as they looked at the form they had to have signed by their parents.
Tucker looked at his form in glee as he was excited to actually get to go to Japan as he could only imagine the type of tech he would be able to see while there. "Hey, it should be fun! Think of all the stuff we would be able to see while over there."
Danny lowered the form and deadpanned at his friend "Tuck, did you even read the form? It says that not only do we have to have our parents sign this but there is a fee that they have to pay by a deadline to allow us to go. If not we have to stay behind."
Tucker quickly brought back the form into his face as he reread it. It was then that he saw the amount that was needed and paled. He knew that his parents would never be able to pay for it and he really wanted to go "NNNOOOOOOO~~~~~~"
Due to the fact that they were outside of Danny's home, Jack busted through the door with his Fenton-Bazooka
"Eat Fenton fury GHOST!" he shot at Tucker with the boy diving out of the way as the tree behind him gained a burn mark from being hit.
"Dad! It's us!"
Jack opened his eyes and saw that it was Danny and his friends. "Danno! Welcome back. How was school?"
Danny rubbed the back of his neck nervously trying to think of what he should say "it was fine dad…" feeling his nerves fail him he grabbed his friends and spoke rapidly as he ran into the house, past his father, and up the stairs "wellgottatalktomyfriendslater."
Jack merely scratched his head at his son's odd behavior and narrowed his eyes in suspicion until
*growl*
He heard his stomach growl and he beamed at it "Time for Fudge." he then ran inside towards the fridge
Danny shoved his friends in his room before shutting the door
Sam turned around and glared at Danny with her hands on her hips "Danny what the hell?"
Danny turned around as he rubbed the back of his neck "sorry guys. I was going to ask my dad about signing the form but it hit me that if I do, dad might think that there is a ghost making the teachers do this."
Tucker brushed his clothes as he had actually fallen from being shoved into the room "come on, man. He wouldn't do that."
Danny crossed his arms as he looked at him incredulously "really?"
Both Sam and Tucker paused for a minute and thought about how Jack would react to being asked
~scenario 1~
Danny walked up to Jack and asked "dad? Can I get you to sign this and pay for the fee? It will allow me to go and attend classes in Japan."
Jack looked at Danny suspiciously before he lowered himself to be face to face with him. "Why? Is there a ghost involved!? Did they take over the school and plan to send them off to some trap?!" he pulled out his Fenton Bazooka ready to charge into the school.
Tucker and Sam looked to each other before nodding in agreement at the thought before Sam asked
"What about your mom?"
Danny sighed as he thought about it. "She is the more level-headed one out of the two." he figured that asking his mother would be the only choice if he had the chance of being part of the program. It was then that a few things came to his mind. The most major one was "wait….I can't go!"
Both Tucker and Sam tilted their head as they didn get what the problem was with Tucker asking
"Why."
Danny ran his hand through his hair as he sighed "if I'm not here then who will be here to protect the town?"
That got the two friends to understand the issue. They both began to think that they should just not go. Sure they would lose the chance to experience a place they both would have loved to go to but their friend would be here on his own. Not something they would want to do.
Danny sat on his bed before tossing the form into his trash. "Well, it was a nice thought. To go to Japan would have been cool…...who came up with this program anyway? I've never heard of this happening to any other class before in Casper High."
Both Tucker and Sam shrugged before Sam's phone rang.
Sam pulled out her phone before answering "hello?"
{SAMMYKINS!}
Sam pulled her phone away from her ear as the loud screech told her who it was. "mom?"
{Sammy, where are you? We need to sign that form so you can head off to Japan.}
Sam grew confused at this as she asked "wait, how do you know about that? We only just got it today and I haven't even told you about it yet."
{we know because we are the ones that brought this up to the school. We were talking to the mayor and suddenly the idea of studying in Japan came up. Your father and I loved the idea and went to make a few calls. Then we were able to convince your school to let you go off to Japan}
Sam was gobsmacked. Her parents were the ones that made this whole thing possible. "But why?"
{what better way to have you learn some culture than attending a Japanese school?!}
Sam could hear the elation in her mother's voice and she knew that her mother expected her to come back wearing a Yukata and acting all proper. 'Mom has no idea on the other sides of Japan.' She knew that her mother only ever saw those programs that showed all the traditions such as tea ceremonies, proper Japanese etiquette, and structure. She had no idea of the more commonly known side such as the anime and gaming companies. Not to mention some of the more "fun" aspects there are. Overall Japan is much like any other place but with several old school traditions that still hold to this day.
{we even thought of paying for your friend, Trucker.}
Sam could already see the other reason for sending her to Japan. "And what about Danny?"
{...he doesn't need to go} and with that, she hung up
Sam glared at her phone 'so that's what you're after.' throughout all this time her parents hated Danny for no other reason than Danny's parents being what they would call "unsophisticated primitive lunatics". One thing that bugged her is that although they tolerated Tucker more they still couldn't get his name right. And the only reason they got Danny's name right was that they hated him for no real reason. She looked to her friends "well I know why our school is doing this."
She relayed the conversation and with it the issue of her now obligated participation. Her parents would not give up the chance to make her a proper lady. This got both boys to think of the chances of Sam becoming what her parents wanted, and simultaneously said
"Yeah right."
With that Sam and Tucker had a clear ticket to go, with Tucker being the only one that could choose to go or not
Danny leaned back as he looked at Tucker and could see that he was debating on whether or not he should go. "You should go, Tuck." he saw both of them look at him in surprise so he elaborated "Tuck, it's obvious that you want to go so why should you have to stay if I do. I'll be fine here on my own. Besides, you guys can send me souvenirs and vids of your time there."
Sam moved forward "but Danny…"
"Sam this is just temporary. You guys should enjoy this chance. I have a job to do but you guys don't have to suffer because of it."
"But…"
"Guys, I'll be fine. But you better send me some cool stuff you get over there."
They could see that Danny was adamant about this and it bugged them that he wouldn't be able to go for one reason or another.
Danny then got up and smiled at them "well we still have a month until you guys leave so let's make the most of it."
With that, the three went off to hang out somewhere in the city
~meanwhile~
Luna was pacing back and forth as she had been having the same dream over and over. The issue was that between those nightmares she had been having flashbacks to her time in the Moon Kingdom. But they weren't normal memories. They were new ones. Situations that had not been there before but the way they lined up with all the memories she already had could only mean that they were part of it. Till this point, it had been as if she was looking at one painting that was complete but to the side was its sister painting that showed more of the first or a mural that had a tarp covering the second half. But even with these new memories coming to her mind, they were hazy so she couldn't call them useful memories at the moment, but the memories keep coming so frequently, and when she brought them up no one else seemed to be in the same boat as her.
"Maybe there is something wrong with me. Or maybe someone is altering my memories." she didn't think that the last one was correct because all the memories she had before were still intact. She still remembered the princess, the kingdom, the incident that led to the fall of the kingdom, and the sadness her queen went through when reincarnating them. But something was just nagging her about it. It was after a few more minutes that she huffed as she knew that this wasn't helping her. "I will have to ask Rei to help me with this. She then sat down as she needed to wait for the girls to get out of school before she could get any assistance. Her tail wagged in agitation as this meant that she would have to wait for hours since it was still early in the school day
~later~
At the Hikawa Shrine, the Sailor Scouts, Rini, and Mamarou were sitting in an enclosed room as Luna asked Rei if she could detect any negative events that might happen soon. She asked this as she wanted to make sure that her dreams weren't a warning of some kind
Are you sure that you aren't just imagining things? I mean none of us has these memories your talking about." was Makato's inquiry as the girls all agreed that none of them remember the events that Luna described
Luna nodded "yes, I am aware of this fact. But I cannot shake the feeling that they mean something. Whether it is from some outside force causing me to have these….visions or what but I want to make sure that nothing terrible happens. And if they are going to happen we need to be prepared."
Everyone nodded as they looked to Rei as the girl sighed
"Alright, give me a minute." Rei closed her eyes and concentrated on future events. It was after a moment that she began to have a vision but it was muddled and unclear. They were flashes that didn't stay long enough for her to decipher much but she did catch sight of something that was constant
A pair of white halos separating from each other
A flash of black and white flying at great speeds
Toxic glowing green eyes
The screams of people running from the city being destroyed
Ghastly green flames with a figure walking through them and an object in the fire
Beams of green light and fire clashing with each other causing shockwaves
The sky darkening into a sickly green and skeletons rising to claim the lives of everyone in their path.
The scouts and Tuxedo mask facing off against someone with the same green eyes.
The final vision had three beings but still, she could not see anything distinct about them except their eyes. One pair of green another a pair of red and the last a single eye of green. They clashed with each other which brought the destruction of the buildings below them
Rei's eyes shot open as the last image flashed bright green that it was blinding. She panted as it almost felt like she was there. So clear on the horrible events that would transpire yet so vague were the perpetrators. She relayed what she had seen and everyone were shocked to hear that such destruction would happen in the future and Luna felt her heart drop at this
Ami thought about everything she heard and tried to articulate what they knew. One thing did seem to stand out the most. "this figure in black and white is the clearest description of who might be the cause of the destruction. Was there anything you can remember from your vision that might help us?"
Rei focused on the vision and tried to find anything distinct about it. It was then that something did catch her attention "I'm not sure if I'm remembering this right but I think there was a symbol on its chest but it was moving so fast that it might have just been my imagination."
Ami nodded at this "regardless it is all we have so far. We need to be vigilant for anything that could be linked to these events. We do not want such tragedies to fall on everyone."
Everyone nodded in agreement to this

Sorry for the long wait but I just couldn't seem to come up with something that would work for this chapter. And when I did come up what something, this super short one came out. I'll try and make longer chapters but "try" is the keyword
At the moment I am debating on whether or not the rest of the Fenton family will go with Danny or just him. Sam and Tucker's parents are staying mostly because they wouldn't have a purpose in the story.
For Pairing with Danny… I don't know. I believe I said in the last chapter that Serena is off the table and that is still valid but I want to change something from what I said in the last chapter. Although I could do multiple pairings I am leaning more towards single here but I don't know who at the moment.
I will be going back to the previous chapter (at some point) and fixing it.
Danny will get the chance to go, I just don't know exactly how to implement it.
I will draw the cover art when I can think of what it should be
