It was now early December she was standing in line with Bethany to meet Santa as usual. This time she brought Bethany alone since Emma and Justin were busy.
"Daddy!" Bethany squealed when she saw Oliver come into view.
Christina turned to see Oliver rushing towards them. He greeted her with a brief but passionate kiss and a loving caress of her baby bump as their daughter kicked happily.
"I wasn't expecting you to come, Ollie," she grinned.
He grinned back. "I'll wait in line with Effie while you go get our drinks."
"Thanks. What do you want to drink?"
"A cup of tea with two creams and a sugar," Oliver said.
She nodded and started to waddle towards the coffee shop to order. She ordered the drinks and waited for them.
When she got back she saw Oliver and Bethany at the head of the line. A few minutes later, they were finished.
"Here you go, Effie," she said handing her the cup of hot chocolate.
"Thanks, mummy."
She ruffled her daughter's hair and handed Oliver his tea. They walked around the mall until she got tired. They went home and she put her daughter down for a nap before sitting down next to Oliver on the couch with a groan.
"How are you feeling today, love?"
"She's been really active today."
Oliver grimaced. "I could sense that when I rubbed your belly earlier."
"It's alright."
Oliver kneeled down to her belly. "Now, little one stop giving your mummy so much trouble."
"Maybe she'll listen to her daddy but she's stubborn like her mum so I doubt it," Christina laughed.
"I'm quite stubborn too," Oliver smirked.
"Do you want to start talking about names?"
He grinned. "That sounds good."
"My baby name book is on the nightstand, can you go grab it?"
Oliver nodded, stood up from the couch and went to go get the book. He handed it to Christina before sitting down next to her as she flipped to the girl name section.
"Do you want a Scottish name?"
"It doesn't matter."
She read off a few pages of names.
"I like Leah, Megan, Harper, Millie and Freya."
"Me too but we have a few more months to decide," she said.
"You look kind of tired. You can take a nap while I make dinner," Oliver suggested.
She nodded and closed her eyes as Oliver walked to the kitchen to start dinner.
"What's for dinner, daddy?" Effie asked.
Oliver turned to his daughter. "How about spaghetti and meatballs?"
"That sounds yummy. Is mummy asleep?"
"She is. Your baby sister is giving her some trouble."
Bethany frowned. "Okay."
Oliver nodded as his daughter walked out of the kitchen. He started to make dinner.
"It smells good in here, Ollie," Christina complimented as she waddled in about 20 minutes later.
"Thanks, did you have a nice nap?"
"It was decent."
Oliver nodded.
"Mummy, you're awake!" Bethany shouted.
"Hey sweetie."
"Can we name my baby sister Susan we can call her Susie for short," she asked.
"That's a good name. Where did you get that idea?"
"Auntie Emma has been reading me the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. One of the the characters is named Susan."
"I forgot about that. I should've been reading those books to you."
Oliver served dinner and then Christina put Effie to bed. The couple also crawled into bed after a few more hours.
—
It was the next day, Oliver was putting together their daughter's crib while Christina was at work. He still couldn't believe he was going to be a father again in March.
"Hey Ollie," Christina greeted.
He greeted her with a passionate kiss.
"You're all sweaty, honey," she giggled.
He smirked at her. "And you're soaked."
She glanced down to see Oliver's hand between her legs stroking her knickers gently. She loved the feeling of Oliver's hand stroking her like this as she stifled a moan.
"I suppose I should finish what I started," Oliver laughed, leading her to their bedroom.
She nodded as Oliver discarded her knickers on the floor.
"Merlin, I don't think you've been this soaked before. I should be handy around the house more often."
"What can I say? You're so sexy when you're doing stuff around the house. It turns me on to no end and I think it also has to do with the fact that I'm pregnant."
"I'm not complaining," he laughed as he pressed a kiss to each of her thighs and stuck his finger inside her.
"Oh, Ollie," she moaned.
Oliver smirked at her. He finished and laid down next to her resting his hand on her belly as there was a series of kicks.
"It's your birthday next week, isn't it?" Christina asked.
He groaned. "Don't remind me, I'm getting old."
"You're barely turning 29. That's far from old," she giggled at her boyfriend's tantrum.
"I suppose you're right, you love me despite my dramatics."
"I do, you charming git," she said.
He chuckled and rested his hand on her belly." I charmed myself into your knickers rather quickly."
"And that's how we ended up here," she laughed, resting her hand over her boyfriend's.
Oliver gave her a kiss and hands began to wander almost immediately. Oliver's hand cupped her bum for a few seconds then gave it a squeeze. She let out a moan.
They snogged until their stomachs growled in unison.
