Hello all, I know it's been a while since I uploaded a chapter. I hate to say it but, I procrastinated quite a bit (work being stressful). Considering how patient you have all been and the new favorites, two chapters will be coming up. Enjoy.

Chapter 7: The aftermath
295 AC – 29 days until the next full moon
Catelyn POV
She was livid. Catelyn shot up from her chair, shutting her room's door and storming down the hall. She came to a stop, in front of her daughter's room flanked by two guards. As she took a step to the door, one of the guards held out his hand in front of her "I'm sorry my lady, Lord Stark requested no one to enter Sansa's room except maester Luwin" Catelyn faced the guard with a hard stare "Are you telling me that you would prohibit a mother from seeing their child?"
The guard gulped nervously, deciding to step aside for Catelyn. Catelyn took a deep breath to calm herself before entering, as she grasped the doorknob and opened the door. She saw that maester Luwin was in the room as well, inspecting his daughter's condition. Sansa's appearance appeared anxious, her hair disheveled and looking panicked. Her presence was known shortly after as both Luwin and Sansa turned to face her. "My lady" maester Luwin bowed; "I shall leave you to rest Sansa, I shall return later for further examination" Sansa nodded at his reply before maester Luwin got up from his chair while exiting the room.
After the door was closed, an awkward silence fell between Catelyn and Sansa. "How is everyone?" Sansa asked, "Everyone is doing well, Robb and Arya have been restless lately, Bran is still the joyful child he is, your father has also been doing his work". Sansa nodded solemnly at her reply "I'm sorry, mother". Catelyn was confused as her daughter continued "Have I disappointed you mother?" she saw as tears streamed down her daughter's cheeks.
Catelyn wasted no time, as she rushed over to her daughter, giving her a comforting hug and rubbing soothing circles on her back. Her daughter clutched onto her as if her life depended on it, they remained in that position for a while. Catelyn first relented, shifting herself to come face to face with Sansa "No, my sweetheart you are not a disappointment to me" as she rubbed the remaining tears from her eyes. "Never say that again, you are my daughter Sansa Stark. No matter what happens now, I and your family will stand with you always". Her daughter smiled at her before returning to the hug. Catelyn continued to comfort Sansa, enjoying the moment while it lasted.
Arya POV
"This is stupid," Arya shouted while stomping her foot. She wanted to see Sansa however; Robb and Jon were being exaggerated about the whole situation. Something had happened to Sansa last night, as evident by the howls she heard and she wanted to see if she was okay. "Arya, just please stay in your room, father doesn't want this situation to get any worse" Jon replied while holding his sister back. Arya struggled to get out of his brother's grip, before she could reply the door pushed open revealing their father. Their father exhaled a deep breath, "I know you want to know if Sansa is alright. I assure you that Sansa is recovering, maester Luwin will be looking after her for some time" "Will be able to visit her anytime father" Robb asked. "Since Sansa's condition is more stable now, you are allowed one visit per day" the three of us nodded at father before he left my quarters to ourselves.
"See, father says it's alright to visit Sansa, let's go" as I dashed past Jon. I ran down the hall, as I reached Sansa's quarters there were two guards by her door. As I made my way to the door one of the guards held out a hand, "Let me escort you in lady Arya". I gave him a bewildered look, "Seriously? It's my sister, what's she going to do?" "Don't worry, we'll watch over her" I turned around to see both Jon and Robb approaching her. The guard nodded and stepped aside as we entered the room.
Sansa was looking out the window; as soon as we made our presence, she turned to face us. She gave us a smile of reassurance but came off quite forced to lighten the mood. "Are you alright Sansa? OW! What was that for Arya?" Robb said as I elbowed him as hard as I could. "Are you dumb?" shooting him a baffled look. "What Robb was meant to say was; are you doing much better after last night's occurrence?" Jon said. Sansa took a deep breath "I don't know, what you think Robb? Do you think transforming into a monstrous wolf, quite painfully might I say is a pleasant experience?"
Our brother seemed quite abashed by Sansa's response; he looked down in humiliation at his mistake. "Was it that bad?" I asked, Jon, looked mortified at my question "I think it might be the worst experience I had ever been through" Sansa replied. An awkward silence fell over us; "You know just because you become a fluffy dog every so often, you're still our family" as I broke the silence. Sansa looked surprised by my response until tears started to well up in her eyes. I, Robb, and Jon went up to Sansa and we hugged her, hoping this moment will last forever.
Luwin POV
Luwin was stifling through the tenth book, and he was no closer to finding the answers he needed. Luwin had spent his life learning at the Citadel, learning science and logical facts about the world. However, whatever he saw last night has shaken his faith. Lord Stark was tasked with finding out what "disease" Sansa had contracted with that encounter with that wolf three weeks passed. None of the books he had explored had any explanation of the matter; he did have a thought to contact the Citadel on the matter but, thought otherwise considering how the maester's would take Sansa away for study.
He rubbed his temple in frustration; none of the books provided any knowledge of a "disease" of a person turning into a wolf on the full moon. "Maester Luwin" he turned his head to face Jon. "Jon, what brings you here in my chambers?" "I was hoping that could perhaps provide some help with your research". Luwin nodded solemnly "I appreciate you wanting to help, but your father has requested me to look into this matter personally". Jon sighed "But, maester Luwin I believe I the answer" Luwin was skeptical until his eyes widen at Jon's finding. He grabbed the book and rushed out of the chamber with Jon in tow.
Eddard POV
To say he was stressed was an understatement. He had to ensure that those that witnessed the event would keep quiet about this. The last thing he needed to happen was rumors to spread in Winterfell about Sansa. All of a sudden, his doors burst open with Luwin and Jon stepping in. "Maester Luwin, Jon what brings you both here?" "Lord Stark, excuse our interruption but I believe your son has found a clue to our investigation" Eddard's curiosity peeked as Luwin laid down the heavy tome on his desk.
The page showed a picture of a long past Stark welding the ancestral sword "Ice" with his men fighting off a large wolf. Underneath the image was written, "Smiting of the beast of the Dreadfort" which was intriguing the fact that the text mentioned the Dreadfort the seat of House Bolton "My Lord? You seem to be lost in thought," Luwin said, "Excuse me; the mentioned of the Dreadfort of House Bolton has piqued my interest".
"Do you think lord Bolton may know about this father?" Jon asked. Eddard stroked his chin in thought, "I do not believe that Roose Bolton has any knowledge about this kind of history, however, he may be able to provide a better insight on the situation". I stood up from my chair; "I believe you have helped enough Jon, you can leave now as me and maester Luwin can handle it from here" his son nodded and stepped out of his solar.
As soon as Jon was out of sight, Eddard asked Luwin to send a raven to Lord Bolton as soon as possible. His thoughts lingered on the image, and the meaning behind it.
