"What is going on here?" Cedric said as he looked over to me before throwing a dark look at Cormac.
"I just came to see if Hermione liked the flowers that I sent her?" Cormac answered with a smug grin.
"I see" Cedric stated as he bawled both of his fists up. "I knew something was going on- "he added as he looked over to me and I started to see concern show in his eyes. "As when I received her message to thank me for them, I knew that something was going on" he added as I watched as his eyes darken in frustration. "But I never expected this" he growled. "Didn't you get enough last time?" he questioned darkly, and my mind instantly flew to the last time the pair of them fought. Admittedly there were times when I was repeating my last year in Hogwarts that Cedric and Cormac fought in Hogsmeade as he would walk past the pair of us and make a comment. But the last time they fought was on a night out, when Cedric went to the bathroom, he came to speak to me, and he actually tried to kiss me. Of course, I pushed him away before he got too close, but unfortunately when Cedric came out of the toilet at the point when I pushed him away. What happened next happened so quick; before I knew it Cedric had Cormac held against the wall by his neck and they had to be torn apart. It was at this point when I decided to take Cedric home; the night was ruined at that point, so I thought this was for the best.
"Hey!" Cormac shrugged. "If there is a shot- "he started as he sat up straight. "I will always take it" he smirked.
"Not with other men's women you don't" Cedric answered darkly as he unclenched his fists. "So, leave my fiancé alone!" he warned him. "Or else!" he added harshly.
"Or else what?" Cormac sang smugly. "You lay one finger on me, and you'll be for it!" he warned Cedric as he jabbed him in the chest with his left index finger.
"Likewise," Cedric advised through gritted teeth, and both of mine and Cedric's face dropped when Cormac laughed in Cedric's face.
"You know that she is too good for you" he said smugly as he nodded over to me. "And she will figure that out" he teased with a smug smile.
"Lies!" Cedric growled back. "Hemione loves me" he urged bluntly.
"Of course, I do!" I quickly interjected. "You have no right to even question that!" I snapped and my office door opened, and I watched as Cedric's father stepped into the room, closing the door behind him.
"Mr McLaggen?" Cedric's father asked in confusion as he looked over to him. "What are you doing here?" he enquired politely.
"This is getting ridiculous!" Cormac snapped as he threw his arms out dramatically. "I was having a private conversation with Miss Grainger here" he purred as he threw a playful glance at me, which made me roll my eyes at him as I crossed my arms over my chest. "We don't need the full Diggory male clan to interrupt us!" he snapped.
"Cormac, just get out!" I snapped back as I pointed harshly at my office door with my right hand. "I don't want to speak to you" I advised bluntly as I crossed my arms back over my chest.
"See!" Cedric exclaimed. "So, get out!" he shouted.
"Ok" he nodded. "I'll leave" he said smoothly as he took a couple of steps back as he put both hands up to defend himself. "We will pick this up another time" he winked at me, which caused me to roll my eyes at him once more.
"You will not!" Cedric snapped.
"I will!" Cormac bit back. "And don't worry, I'll take good care of her" he winked at Cormac.
"Over my dead body" Cedric grimaced.
"If you wish!" Cormac stated sarcastically, and we all heard a low growl escape from Cedric's pursed lips. "Always a pleasure Hermione" he winked at me as he turned to leave the room. "Mr Diggory" he nodded at Cedric's father, which made him nod back in response. "Cedric" he said sarcastically as his eyes landed on my fiancé. "You know what your problem is Cedric?" he asked coolly as he stepped in front of him.
"What Cormac?" Cedric muttered.
"Is that you think you are something, just because you have her" he replied as he nodded in my direction. "But she will realise that you are a waste of time" he mocked him/
"You are the one that is a waste of time!" Cedric growled at him as he bawled his fists again.
"Cormac, I think you need to leave now!" I called, as I started to wish that he would just leave. "Please?" I begged.
"Very well" he nodded as he looked over to me and he winked at me, which made glare at him. "I'll come back later when your office isn't as crowded" he advised proudly.
"No, you won't Cormac" I advised as I started to think about speaking to my manager about keeping Cormac out of my office. "Just go!" I implored.
"You heard her!" Cedric snapped again as he took a step forward. "Go! How many more times do you have to be told!" he added harshly. "She doesn't want you here, take a hint!" he shouted, and his voice echoed around my building, and I watched as people outside started looking in the direction of my office.
"You!" Cormac shouted back. "Just because you're engaged doesn't mean anything!" he continued in the same tone. "You still need to get her down the aisle!" he called, and I watched as something changed in Cedric's face. I watched as he bit down onto his bottom lip, and I felt my heart start to break. I hated seeing Cedric in such turmoil like this; I just wanted Cormac to leave us alone! "Plenty of time for things to change between you two, and us two" he grinned as he looked over to me and he grinned, which made Cedric grunt. However, before I could say or do anything Cedric quickly stepped forward and he punched Cormac clean in the face, causing me and Cedric's father to gasp at this. The pair of us had to jump forward as Cedric and Cormac started to fight in the middle of my office; as we were trying to pull them apart, I heard my office door open again but I couldn't help but sigh when Harry and Ron came into view. They helped us to pull Cedric and Cormac apart and I quickly stood in front of Cedric so they would start fighting again.
"GET OUT!" I shouted. "NOW!" I screamed and Harry and Ron quickly wrestled Cormac out of the room, and they left with him probably to make sure that he actually left.
"We will leave you to it" Cedric's father advised as he pursed his lips and I nodded in response to this. I then watched as he turned and left the room, closing the door behind him. I then turned my head and slowly looked up at Cedric and I noted that he had a blank stare on his face as a black eye started to form. I then gulped, I hated that Cedric and Cormac had fought again, it felt as if this situation was never ending. It kept coming up every now and again; I just hoped that when me and Cedric got married then Cormac would back off – but after what had just happened, I couldn't be too sure, unfortunately.
