I do not own Harry Potter.

CrystalKaouri: Thank you so much for the review and for your thoughts on the mirror! I'm glad you're enjoying my story!

Dear Mum and Dad,

Gryffindor won the match! It ended in record time; I caught the snitch in under five minutes! And in the stands, Ron gave Malfoy a black eye, and Neville tried to take on Crabbe and Goyal single handed. He didn't win, but we sure showed Slytherin.

But as I was going to put my Nimbus in the broom shed, I saw Snape sneaking into the forbidden forest while everyone was at dinner. So, I followed him on my broom. He was meeting Professor Quirrell. It sounded like he was threatening him; he asked him if he knew how to get past Fluffy and mentioned something about Quirrell's little bit of hocus pocus. Mum was right. There must be loads of enchantments guarding it, and Quirrell would have done some anti-Dark Arts thing.

Snape is trying to steal the Sorcerer's Stone. There's no other explanation. Unfortunately, we have no proof.

Don't worry about me. Dumbledore came to the quidditch match, and Snape couldn't do anything to me while he was watching. I'll be fine.

Love,

Harry

Dear Harry,

Congratulations on winning the quidditch match! Imagine catching the snitch in under five minutes!

Well done, Harry.

And good for Ron and Neville.

I hope all involved in the fight will be alright.

As for Snape, it certainly does sound suspicious.

I still maintain that there must be some reasonable explanation. Professor Snape would not try to kill you or attempt to steal something Dumbledore was trying to keep safe.

Either way, it is clear that something fishy is going on. Try and stay out of it, Harry, it could be dangerous.

Yes, stay safe, Harry. If you happen to find out anything else about the stone, go straight to Professor Dumbledore, evidence or no evidence.

Be careful,

Love,

Dad and Mum

Dear Mum and Dad,

Remember when Hermione, Ron, and I were at Hagrid's house a while ago to talk about the Sorcerer's Stone? Well, that night we found out that Hagrid had gotten his hands on a dragon egg! He says he won it in a game of cards with a stranger. I didn't tell you before because Ron said it was illegal to own dragons, and Hagrid asked us to keep it secret. Except, today we went down to his hut during morning break to see it hatch, and we caught Malfoy looking through the gap in the curtains! What in the world are we going to do? Malfoy could tell at any moment, and Hagrid won't let Norbert, the dragon, go free because he's too little!

Any ideas?

Harry

Dear Harry,

Well, Hagrid's got himself into a pickle, hasn't he? The thing to do is to get Norbert somewhere safe before he is discovered. If Malfoy hasn't told yet, he is probably waiting for an opportune time to do so.

You should probably tell Dumbledore. I seriously doubt he would get Hagrid in trouble for it, and he'd know people who could take care of it. Oh, didn't you say that Ron's older brother is studying dragons? You could ask him if he would take Norbert.

Good luck. Let me know how it goes,

Mum

Author's Note: Because this chapter and the next are kind of short, I am posting two chapters this weekend.
