While I didn't have this already written out last year, I did come up with this idea then and really wanted to write it after seeing I could also match it too this prompt/day.

The original prompt that sparked the idea for this one was Adrinette April 2020, Day #20: Photoshoot

Adrinette April 2023

Day #8: Modeling

Photoshoots weren't Adrien's favorite thing to do. It did allow him to get out though, which was sort of a rarity for him. Being able to go to public school not only allowed him more freedom, but to be able to make friends.

Still, he'd love to be with his friends when there wasn't school work to do or cameras flashing in his face. But having at least one there would make either less boring.

Which was why he was so glad that Marinette had accepted his invitation to watch one of his photoshoots.

Today, they were set up outside of the Louvre Museum. The area had been roped off to clear away big crowds but they still allowed a few passerby's in the distance to still make the shots look natural.

Adrien stood with the pyramid in the background and posed for Vincent the photographer. He did as he instructed, fixed his face to match how he wanted him to look; happy, in awe, bashful, calm, and a bunch of other emotions that he wasn't sure how to imitate but Vincent liked it anyway.

As the instructions and clicks kept coming, his green eyes would stray off back toward his private tent with opened flaps where he spent his breaks. There was a canopy that provided plenty of shade from the pounding sun shine, snacks, bottled water, towels, and two chairs. In one of them, Marinette sat.

Every time he looked over at her, she'd smile and wave to him. He had to resist the urge to wave back. The first time he did that, Vincent yelled at him to not make gestures unless he was instructed to. So he just kept smiling.

Looking at her, smiling was a lot easier. More natural.

Finally, Vincent allowed him to take a break and get out of the sun while he figured out a new angle for more photos.

Adrien made his way over to his tent where Marinette was waiting for him with a big smile, a bottle of water, and a towel.

"Thanks," he said, taking the offered things before sitting in the chair beside her.

"No problem. It's pretty hot today. Can't have you passing out mid-picture," Marinette rifted nervously as her crush took a big drink from the bottle then used the towel to wipe sweat from his forehead.

"Yeah. It's too bad Andre's not around. I wouldn't mind Vincent photographing me eating ice cream," he said. On a hot day like today, ice cream sounded like heaven. Maybe they could get ice cream together after the shoot was over. "So, you bored yet?" he asked her jokingly. He was usually bored by this point in a shoot so he wanted to make sure he hadn't dragged his dear friend out, only for her to regret accepting his invitation.

"Not at all. I'm being inspired so much just being here," she said enthusiastically before pulling her sketch book out from her bag, which was hanging off the back of her chair, then she opened it. "When I wasn't watching you, I was sketching and making notes," she explained, flipping through a few pages while Adrien watched. Suddenly, Marinette closed the book. "But, now that you're here, I need to put this away and focus on you. That's why you invited me here," she said quickly. Adrien brought her here to keep him from getting bored so she would do whatever he wanted to keep him entertained.

Adrien just smiled at her sweet gesture. "True. That being said, I want to see what you've been working on," he told her. Chatting with her was nice but her showing him her sketch book and hearing about her ideas sounded even better.

A light blush appeared on Marinette's cheeks before she smiled nervously again. Adrien's idea of interesting was hearing her babble on about her designs styles and thoughts on fashion.

Now she felt like she might pass out, but not from the heat.

Marinette opened her sketch book again and Adrien scooted his chair closer to hers.

Back on the other side of the shoot set-up, Vincent was looking around with his camera, trying to find his next angle and theme for the rest of the shoot.

He wanted something different. He wanted to tell a story. Something sweet, something real, something intimate, something…

Then, his camera found Adrien under the canopy of his tent, sitting very close to his classmate that had come along for the day. She was showing him some kind of book that was open in her lap. He remembered Adrien mentioning that she aspired to be a designer one day. That might be her sketch book she was sharing with him.

They were smiling. He knew all of Adrien's smiles for the camera, but this smile was the most natural he had ever seen.

It was…beautiful.

Before he knew it, the photographer was standing just feet from the young pair. They hadn't even noticed him approaching them. They giggled as he slowly lowered him camera.

"Yes!" he exclaimed, making the two jump a bit and look at him. "This!" he gesturing wildly to them. "This is my new angle!"

Adrien and Marinette just looked at each other confused. "Wait, what?" the bluenette asked.

"The two of you! This is what the photoshoot needs!" Vincent said. Then he was speaking to his model, pitching his idea to him. "Picture it; Adrien, you are wondering alone by the Louvre, a place of beauty and art. Then, you see her!" he gestured to Marinette then walked around to the back of their chairs. "This beautiful girl, an artist, drawing in her book, all alone. So you go over to her, sit beside her, she shows you her work, you are…fascinated by her," he continues, gazing at the two. "She is fascinated by you." The two looked at each other, blushing. "It is magical!" Vincent exclaimed again.

"But Vincent, Marinette just came to watch and keep me company," Adrien told him. It wasn't like he hated the idea or that he wouldn't mind posing with Marinette. It sounded fun, getting to model with someone he actually enjoyed spending time with. But this was more than just hanging out. Marinette wasn't a model. She wasn't used to this. He knew about her shy and timid side. If she wasn't comfortable being in a professional photoshoot, he wasn't going to push her.

Sadly, Vincent had no issue in trying to convince her.

"Please, Miss Marinette. This new vision of mine is all I can picture. If we can not bring it to life, I will surely go mad!" Vincent pleaded, on his knees before Marinette's chair.

Marinette nervously looked around. The rest of the crew was staring at her with pleading eyes too. If Vincent said that this was the angle he wanted to do, then they trusted his instincts and wanted to make it happen just as much as him. "Well…" she uttered, not sure what to say. She didn't want to let him down, but she wasn't sure she could do it. Then she looked back at Adrien beside her. His eyes were pleading too, but more in a kind, caring way that wasn't meant to try and convince her of anything. They said, 'I'm cool with whatever you decide.' And that melted her heart again. "I mean…I can try," she finally said.

"Excellent!" Vincent exclaimed, springing back up to his feet. "I need make-up on Miss Marinette, Adrien needs a touch-up, and they need a bench!" he hollered to the crew.

It was pretty chaotic from there.

Marinette being fussed over by the make-up artists and hair dressers, the crew moving everything to a new area of the Louvre that had the best angle of the pyramid with a bench. After they found it, Vincent walked through the different angles he needed to tell his story before bringing in his stars.

He put Marinette on the bench and told her to just act natural, like she was sketching in her book outside like it was any other day, drawing inspiration from the Louvre itself. So she did. Pencil in hand, she stared adding details to the design she had been working on earlier. She did her best to ignore the clicks from Vincent's camera and just kept drawing.

Then, a few minutes later, she saw Adrien come up and stand by her. As she had been instructed, Marinette looked up at him. He smiled at her, she smiled back, then he sat down beside her.

She moved in close and held over her book to show him. She held one side of the book while he held the other.

Vincent's camera clicks never stopped for more then five seconds. All while gushing about how they looked even better than he had pictured and how much of a genius he was.

But Adrien and Marinette hardly noticed him or the fact that they were still in a photoshoot.

Adrien had been right to allow Marinette to come. If he had to model, he would prefer to do it with Marinette with him. Whether she choose to stay on the sidelines and just watch or stand beside him and get her picture taken too.

Either made modeling much more fun.

See u tomorrow for the next one ;D
