"Don't think about it." Kazuma says to her as he walks in front of her and Sasha, but for whatever reason, he stops walking before he turns to look at her.

Gloria can feel his eyes searching for something, and she briefly turns her head so that she doesn't feel the strength of his stare, yet after a few seconds she feels his hands on her cheeks.

"What are you?" Glorias asks him.

"Hold on." he says to her.

As he lets go of her head and begins to walk towards Sasha who is looking at him with interest.

Kazma looks into Sasha's mechanical eyes and Gloria notices that he's searching for something that she can't understand.

"Damm it." Kazuma says to himself as he lets go of Sasha's head.

"Aqua we're putting the job on hold, they won't be able to take it." he says to aqua before he starts to look around for something and Gloria sees that he finds what he's looking for.

"Come on." he says to them as he leads them to the steps of an abandoned building.

"Gloria Sasha I'm sorry, as your senior I should have noticed it before." he says to them as he sits down.

'What are you talking about?" Gloria asks him genuinely confused by Kazumas change in personality.

"Here you go." Aqua says to Sasha as she hands her a bottle of water.

"You know a long time ago, okay maybe it wasn't a long time ago, but Kazuma and I use to have a lot of friends... they're far from here..." Aqua says o them but the sad tone of her voice is completely different from the way that she normally speaks.

"We fought against creatures that could destroy entire kingdoms and machines that were abandoned by people that built them to kill a lot of people." Aqua says to them as she sits down and pats the spot next to her.

"Gloria felt her eyes widen as Sasha sat down next to Aqua.

"Kazuma died a lot back then, a lot of our friends did."

She couldn't believe what she had just heard, she knew that there was medical technology that could revive a person if they had died but it could only be used once.

Maybe if the person was lucky twice, but after that, the person's brain wouldn't be able to handle it, but if Aqua's words were true then Kazuma had died several times.

"I revived them all, but there were times when I couldn't get to them or I didn't know when they died."

"People would go out on a quest and never come back, that was just how things were.' Aqua says to them but her eyes lost their glow as she spoke those words.

"There were times when we didn't have a choice but to raise hell." Kazuma says to them, but before he says anything, Gloria felt his hand grab onto hers and pull her towards him.

He quickly grabbed her before she could hit the concrete and forced her to sit down next to him and Sasha.

"You know the story, someone with a lot of power and money ends up liking one of your teammates and they forced them to do things that they wouldn't normally do."

"Kazuma what's this about?" Gloria asks him.

"Just listen." Kazuma says to her.

"I remember seeing Darkness, she was one of my party members...her family was a power and influence but because they cared for the people around them, they fell into debt and Darkness was what the person that let them the money wanted."

'The truth was that she had always been his target."

"It was through her, that he could get her family's name and all of the power that came with it. Oh, he could get the land, businesses, and properties, but all of that paled to the influence that her family's name had.

Gloria watched as Kazumas expression changed from the usual calm one to one that looked as if it was filled with pain, she turned to look at Aqua and found that she was just like Kazuma.

"She's safe now we made sure of that." he says to her.

"What we're trying t say is that both of you aren't acting like yourselves are you?" he says to them.

"I'm sorry, I should have noticed it earlier," Aqua says to them as she grabs ahold of Sasha and hugs her.

Gloria doesn't understand what the pair are doing and she nearly flinches as she feels Kazuma's hand wrap around her waist.

"I don't know what you're talking about I'm fine." Gloria says as she stands up and steps away from the group.

"No your not, neither of you is, Gloria can you tell me how the food that you have eaten tastes and how does the world around you look?"

"And if you don't want to tell me, can you tell me how aqua and I look?" Kazuma says to her.

Gloria can feel herself becoming angry and as she is about to answer Kazuma she realizes that she hasn't been able to taste anything, her eyes begin to widen as she feels herself starting to cry.

She begins to push her feelings down and she starts to rely on her training to keep herself from being overwhelmed.

"You're using your training to keep yourself together, it's not going to always work." Kazuma says to her, as he stands up and starts to walk toward her.

Gloria begins to step back, she doesn't know why but she feels that if she lets Kazuma touch her, she will end up falling apart.

She turns and is about to run away only to see Kazuma run ahead of her and stop her from leaving.

'Get out of my way!" she yells at him.

"You lost everything in one day and now you're here with us."

"Your son the boy that you sacrificed so much for, dropped out and is now doing who knows what, you thought that he might be dead or lost looking for you only to find that he was doing something stupid." he says to her.

'Shut up! shut up! shut up! shut up!" Gloria yells at him.

She can't bare to listen to him anymore, who was he to claim that he knows how she feels, every day in this city, in this world is a fight to survive, to stay where she is and not fall deeper into the darkness, like so many others.

"It's okay, we're here" Aqua says to her as she stands up and walks towards her.

Gloria feels the woman's hands on her shoulders but she pushes aqua away, she didn't need her help, she doesn't need anyone's help.

She has managed to raise her son all on her own, she had not only gone to school and gotten a job when she had been told to give up and do other things.

And despite all of that she still ended up, down here and her boy was about to fall off into a pit that no one ever came out of.

Gloria begins to feel herself start to break and as she falls onto her knees, she feels everything that she has held back, start to come out until she can't hold it back anymore.

"Get away from her!" she hears David scream, but as she looks up she sees Kazuma grab him by his hand and his waist before throwing him aside.

"Your fast, but you don't have any experience fighting so you can't use that speed of yours properly." Kazuma says to David as he starts to pick himself up.

"Hey I don't know what going on, but why don't you step away from her." Jackie says to Kazuma and Aqua yet as he walks towards them Gloria can see that he isn't alone and both men have their guns aimed at them.

Before anyone can say anything else, sparks begin to come out of their hands, and both men struggle to control their bodies, Gloria turns to look at Sasha who is hacking the pair.

Then she hears them let out a cry of pain and when she looks back she sees that Kazuma has tied them both using some sort of wire.

She watched as a flash of light flew towards Kazuma but, as it was about to reach him, she watched Kzuma just step aside and shove it.

She couldn't believe what was happening, everything was transpiring so quickly that she couldn't understand, why or how it was happening.

Kazuma turned to look at her and when their eyes met, he yelled ." Stop!" before he knelt and started untying Jackie and the man that was with him.

Gloria watched as David was going to try and attack Kazuma again.

"Don't, you can't beat me, and if you do, you'll have to deal with her." Kazuma says to David as he sigals towards Aqua whose arm is glowing.
