Chapter 5
-With Ever and Farron-
Farron was taking Ever to one of his favorite Thai restaurants. He was hoping that the date went well, and he got to know her more. Depending on how tonight goes, I may ask her to promise with me. Ever was excited and couldn't believe someone as good-looking and sweet as Farron was interested in her! After Tartaros she broke things off with Elfman, he never really showed her affection, or complemented her. She was nervous but hopeful that maybe Farron would be the one for her.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Farron held her hand and led her inside. He had a private room reserved for them so they wouldn't have to worry about others over hearing their conversation or being interrupted.
"Thank you for dinner tonight." Ever smiled.
"It's my pleasure, Ever." He smiled back. A waiter came and took their drink order, Ever decided to just have water for now. Farron didn't look at the menu, already knowing what he wanted.
"Everything sounds so good. What is one of your favorite dishes?" Ever asked.
"I really like the Pad Thai with shrimp, and the red curry."
"I think I'll try the Pad Thai; it sounds good."
"Have you ever had Thai before?"
"Once, I got a chicken stir fry. It was decent, I'm excited to try something new. How long have you been an ambassador? Do you do missions as a mage still?"
"For six years now. Not as much anymore, my work as an ambassador keeps me busy. I am still a member of White Sea though."
"That's amazing." The waiter came and took their food orders, Farron ordered a couple appetizers for them to share.
"How are you liking Bosco?"
"I love it here, truthfully I wouldn't mind living here."
"You would be welcomed by White Sea if you did. I personally would also like it you moved here." Ever blushed at what he said. She was already falling for him; he was everything she wanted. He was very handsome, motivated and successful, but what really stood out to her was how caring he was. Their food came, they talked about things they liked, missions they have done while eating. Farron couldn't keep his eyes off her, and she couldn't keep her eyes off him.
-With Cris and Lucy-
They arrived at Cris's favorite Italian restaurant. He didn't tell her where he was taking her, wanting it to be a surprise. When they got out and she seen that it was an Italian restaurant, she was excited. Lucy loved Italian food, but didn't get to eat it that often. He noticed how excited she was, and was happy he chose to bring her here.
Once inside, they were led to a private alcove, where some wine was waiting for them. Salad and breadsticks were also on the table. He pulled out her chair for her, before sitting across from her. A waiter came and poured them each a glass of wine, and brought water.
"Everything looks so good here."
"What is one of your favorites?"
"I love the lasagna here. The Alfredo is also really good."
"Alfredo sounds delicious right now." The waiter came and took their order. Cris put some salad on a plate for her, and then himself. "This salad dressing is good. I heard from Bix that you help Kaleb run White Sea, how long have you been helping him?"
"I've been helping him for two years. I help with the new members and posting missions."
"Why did you leave high society and join Fairy Tail?"
"I was lonely, and was only seen as a transaction to my father. I left when he told me that he found someone for me to marry. The lord he found was 20 years older than me. He hired a dark guild to kidnap me and bring me back, but in the end it didn't work."
"I can't understand that concept, being used to better business deals. I'm glad you left, and glad you are a part of Bix's team."
"Me too. I've been happier since leaving that life behind. Bix and everyone have been amazing friends. I'm glad that I'm a part of their team now. There is only one thing I'm worried about."
"What's that?"
Before she could answer, the waiter came back to take their orders. Cris went with the lasagna and Lucy got chicken alfredo. They finished their salads as dinner came out. Lucy took her fork and stole a bite of Cris's lasagna.
"Oh wow, the lasagna is good!" Lucy giggled as Cris glared at her playfully. He retaliated by taking a bite from her plate. She loved how easy it was being with him. She knew she was falling for him but was scared at the same time. She didn't want to get hurt, and she didn't want to hurt him. She knew they had to go back to Fiore. Truthfully, she would love to live in Bosco.
"What are you worried about, Lucy?"
"I know that my old team will eventually come back and when they do, they will want me back with them."
"Do you want to go back to that team?"
"No, I still consider them Nakama, and I know they were each probably dealing with their own issues. I can't trust them like I use to. Now they are just Nakama to me." Cris nodded in understanding. He hoped that maybe she wouldn't leave Bosco at all, he wanted her to live here, with him.
"Lucy what do you know about dragons and their instincts?"
"I know a little bit, a good friend of mine is mated to a dragon slayer. She told me the little bit I do know. She told me how she felt a pull towards him, and that they are very protective of their mates, children and kin."
"That's all true. Our instincts help us pick our mates. We pick someone who will be compatible. Once we find the mate, that is when they will feel a pull towards the dragon slayer." Lucy's eyes widen slightly and a small smile graced her lips. She wanted to ask him, if she was his mate but she was scared. He was watching her, noticing how she looked surprised and then happy but also worried. "What are you thinking Lucy?"
"Am I your mate? I've been feeling a pull from you since the first day we went swimming. I noticed how comfortable I am around you and that I feel wanted and protected."
Cris smiled, "Yes, you are my mate. But why do you also look worried?"
"Are you okay with me as your mate? I know I'm not the most beautiful, or have the best body..." She trailed off when he growled.
"I am beyond happy that you are my mate, Lucy. You are breathtakingly gorgeous. Every time I look at your body my mouth waters. I love your curves. You are perfect. Why do you think badly about yourself? You are so kind, caring and I can tell you love deeply."
"On my old team, Natsu and his exceed Happy, constantly called me fat. They told me I was too heavy to carry. They always said it was a joke when I would get upset." Cris wanted to find Natsu and beat him to a pulp.
"Why didn't anyone at the guild say anything to them? Does Bix and them know about this?"
"They never said it at the guild, it was always when we were gone on missions. No, they don't know."
"Do you know about Boscan customs?"
"I know some, Bix explained a little bit, and Freed told us what he read before we came."
"Have you heard of promising with someone?" Lucy blushed but nodded.
"Bix explained it to us. I told him that I wish Fiore would adapt to the concept. I know that with being promised, we sign a paper and it's acknowledged by Bosco. He didn't go into too much detail about."
"That's correct, being promised is the first step before becoming engaged. Also, with being promised, it protects both of us from being pursued by others. I know we have only known each other a couple of days but Lucy would you promise with me?"
Lucy dropped her fork, and started at him in shock. She searched his eyes to see if it was what he really wanted to do. She saw nothing but happiness in his eyes, and a big smile on his face. She blushed and smiled back, "Yes, I will promise with you."
He grinned and walked around the table to her, leaning down and kissing her. "You've made me happier than I ever thought possible Lucy."
"I'm very happy too! Would you be okay with taking things a little slow still? Get to know each other more?"
"We can take things as slow as you need to. I'm just glad I get to call you, my woman! Tomorrow we will go shopping for promise rings."
"Thank you, Cris." She leaned up and kissed him again. "I can't wait to tell everyone when we get home!" Cris grinned. They ate in a comfortable silence. They decided to get dessert to go. Cris kept his arm around her waist the whole way home. Lucy was the happiest she has felt in a long while. She couldn't wait to hear about Ever's date, and tell her about her own date.
-With Ever and Farron-
"Dinner was amazing. Thank you Farron." Ever smiled at him.
"You are welcome. Ever, there is something I want to ask you."
"Of course."
"Would you promise with me? I know we have only known each other a couple days, but you are an amazing woman. I want to build a relationship with you."
Ever gasped but smiled, "I would love to promise with you." Farron grinned and grabbed Ever's hand kissing her knuckles. He paid the bill, and they headed home. Once in the car, Farron gave her a proper kiss. Ever was in heaven and couldn't wait to tell Lucy.
"Tomorrow we can go pick out promise rings."
"Sounds good. I can't wait to tell everyone!"
The couples returned home at the same time. As soon as the girls were out of the car, they squealed and ran to each other. "Crisaskedmetopromise!" "Farronaskedmetopromise!" They said at the exact same time. The guys shook their heads looking at each other, "Was that even English?" Cris asked. Farron shrugged and laughed.
"I'm so happy for you Ever!"
"I'm so happy for you Lulu!"
"Wait you two actually understood each other?" Cris laughed. They both just nodded and smiled. They walked into the house together and found everyone in the living room.
"How were your dates?"
"Amazing!" Both girls said at the same time.
"We also have some great news to share!" Lucy said.
"What's the great news?" Arman asked. He had a feeling he knew what it was but couldn't wait to hear.
"Cris asked me to promise!"
"Farron asked me to promise!"
The guys stood behind them with grins. Shouts of congrats rang out from everyone. Bix ran up and gave the girls hugs welcoming them to the family. Laxus got up and asked to speak with the Raijinshuu alone for a minute. The girls tensed up some, but were hopeful he wasn't mad and would tell them it was a bad idea.
"Lucy and Ever first I want you to know that I am happy for you both. The reason I wanted to talk with you all is to ask, how would you feel about moving here to Bosco?"
"I'd love to live here." Lucy said. Freed, Bix, and Ever agreed that they would love to live here too.
"I'll call gramps tomorrow then. Let him know we are going to move here. Truthfully, I want to stay too. I've been feeling a pull towards Emi. I want to see if she could be my mate."
"Laxus that's great! I'm happy for you." Lucy said.
"What do you think gramps will say?" Bix asked. Even though he already knew.
"He will be happy for all of us. Thankfully we had already talked about someone to become guild master, if I decided not to." Everyone nodded with smiles on their faces.
"Lulu and I are going to go change quick. We will meet all of you back in the living room." They linked arms as they went upstairs.
Everyone else went back to the living room. Cris and Farron were worried when they didn't see the girls.
"They went to change quick. You could always go see if they need help." Bix said with a grin. Farron smiled and shook his head. Cris grinned and went up to Lucy's room. When he got there, he knocked on the door, and heard just a second. Lucy opened the door in her bra and yoga pants. Cris groaned and came into the room, shutting the door. Lucy used her shirt to cover herself while blushing. Cris turned around so she could finish getting dressed.
"Sorry, I just didn't want you standing in the hallway where anyone could see you. I do have to say though, that color looks amazing on you." He grinned when she swatted his arm.
"I'm dressed now." He turned around and pulled her into his arms.
"What did Laxus want to talk to everyone about?" Lucy smirked and shook her head.
"You can wait until we are downstairs with everyone else." She used a makeup wipe and took her makeup off. "Let's grab Ever, and then we can go downstairs." Ever walked out of her room the same time as Lucy and Cris.
"Lulu, what were you up to?" She smirked.
"Nothing, he was trying to get me to tell him what we all talked about." She smiled. She loved that Cris was such a gentleman. They walked back to the living room where everyone was waiting.
"So, did you get to see anything juicy bro?" Bix cackled and Cris grinned.
"Bix I will Lucy kick you back to Fiore!" Bix quickly shut up, until he realized she was teasing him.
"Now that is something I would love to see." Vander said. They all joked around for a while. Everyone loved how at peace and happy they were.
"Laxus, why did you want to talk to your team?" Arman asked.
"We talked about moving here."
"Did you guys decide?" Emi asked hopefully.
"We did, we have decided to move here!" Lucy said. Everyone smiled, Bix and Vander whooping the loudest. Cris grinned and pulled Lucy into his arms kissing her. Farron did the same with Ever. Emi sat herself on Laxus's lap. He couldn't help but grin at her. Even Freed and Xally were cuddling. Arman went around and hugged everyone.
"I'm going to call gramps tomorrow and let him know. We will still need to go back to pack the things we need, and put our houses up for sale." Suddenly Virgo appeared.
"Princess, I will gladly pack everything for everyone! Leo said he will help too. That way it won't be as stressful for you all when you go back, and won't have to be there as long." Virgo said. Everyone smiled and thanked her.
"I think we should keep either Freed's house or Laxus's house though." Lucy said.
"Why Cosplayer?"
"What if we want to go visit gramps, and our friends at the guild? I thought one of their houses would be best because they have the most room, and not to mention the pools."
"I'd be okay keeping my house Blondie." Laxus said. He is glad she thought of that. His house was paid off, so he wouldn't have to worry about paying for it and a new place. He knew that they would want to go visit gramps sometimes.
"Knowing Virgo, she is already working on our house Ever." Lucy giggled. "Cris, when we go back to get the houses up for sale would you want to come with me?"
"You bet your sweet ass I'm coming." Lucy just rolled her eyes and smiled.
"Tomorrow, I will take you all to the guild and get you in the system as members and get your guild marks. After you speak with Master Makarov." Kaleb said. The rest of the night was spent laughing and playing card games and board games. Of course, Bix thought it would be fun to grab Lucy and try and run from Cris. Which ended with Bix getting thrown into the water. Everyone finally decided to get some sleep. The Raijinshuu were happier than they had ever been. They felt more at home too. They were all excited for the adventures they would have together in Bosco.
