And we're finally at 50 chapters! I have to say, I'm happy that we're this far in, because there's only so much of what I have prepared left before we're all caught up. Of course, I'm going to be sure to deliver more amazing chapters in the future, so be on the lookout!
Anyways, let's see how Weisz is doing ever since he got separated from his group.
"Arsenal was separated from us?!" Eraser inquired of Laguna as they continued through the halls together.
"Yeah," the Tears Lover Quirk user responded, "Looks like this Müller guy's trying to have us picked off one by one..." he pointed out, narrowing his eyes.
"Damn..." the I.U.A. Hero cursed, "We don't have time to go back for him..." he muttered in realization.
"And you'll still need protection when you're charging your Quirk," Laguna noted additionally. At that moment, the walls ahead of them burst open as several Nomu came out, all converging onto the two of them.
"Tsk," Eraser scoffed, making white lines of energy glow around his left eye as his hair turned white again, "I'm counting on you to back me up for now, Laguna," he told his intern, "We'll have to hope that Arsenal can hold his own until someone can get to him..." he said, waving his left hand as a white light wafted off from it. Several of the Nomu ahead were left dismembered by the sudden attack, followed by their bodies being washed away by a wave of water from the Tears Lover Quirk user. He scoffed.
'Hold his own, huh?' he repeated inwardly, 'Against someone like Seth... he's got no chance,' he noted to himself. From within his armor, Weisz looked around frantically for a sign of his foe in the halls he was trapped in.
'Didn't hear a single gunshot go off...' he recalled, looking down the hall for a sign of his foe, 'He could be anywhere around here...' he mentioned inwardly as he grimaced, seeing that the hallway was split into different sections, 'His bullets don't work on Arsenal, but that's not gonna help me...' he added to himself, 'If I could just figure out where he is, I could take him!' he declared through his thoughts. All of a sudden though, he found himself struck right in the head by a bullet, which bounced off and clattered onto the floor as he stumbled back into the wall.
"Agh..." he groaned out.
"Hmph," Seth's voice scoffed from afar, getting his attention, "Guess that armor's a bit tougher than most..." he realized in an echo.
"Dammit..." Weisz cursed. His hidden foe exhaled a puff of smoke as he readied a revolver in his right hand.
Seth Anderson! Quirk: Quickshot!
He can draw and fire any gun in under a millisecond, leaving enemies helpless to even think. However, his accuracy can be affected based on how fast he pulls out his weapon. But that doesn't seem to matter when it comes to his speed!
"Saw you in the Sports Festival by the way..." he mentioned to the Machina Maker Quirk user, getting his attention, "The hell's up with that stupid armor anyway?" he wondered aloud, "Didn't seem to do you any good in that second fight..." he recalled. Weisz growled underneath his armor, remembering how he had basically gotten embarrassed in the Sports Festival by Laguna in just a minute. All because what he had made wouldn't last longer and made him use his Quirk far too excessively in such a short amount of time.
"Shut up already!" he yelled, forming boosters around his feet to propel himself forward. He then remodeled wing-like blades upon his forearms, extending them out to slash through the walls. "Grandee Wing!" he exclaimed, causing dust and dirt to billow up.
"Making a mess isn't gonna help you out, kid..." Seth remarked, firing a shot from his revolver. The bullet struck Weisz's right shoulder, making him stumble.
'I heard the shot this time...!' he realized, 'Did he switch to a different gun?' he questioned inwardly. He didn't have time to think about it as he felt a piercing pain go through his right knee. A bullet clattered onto the floor, but he keeled over and groaned in agony.
"Shit...!" he cursed.
'The first bullet was to hide the fact the second one was coming...!' he concluded through his thoughts, 'Damn it, I only made things worse for myself...!' he realized in frustration, 'I always... make things harder for everyone...' he added inwardly, remembering the sight of Sibir being decayed by Tomura, 'What can I do...?' he asked himself.
FLASHBACK
"Seriously, why do we get stuck here meditating when everyone else gets to do fieldwork?" the Machina Maker Quirk user asked out of frustration.
"Do you have anything better to do than complain?" Laguna inquired back to his annoyance.
"It's alright, Laguna," Eraser assured to the Tears Lover Quirk user, "Arsenal does bring up a good point," he noted as he stood up, "It's part of the reason Justice wanted me to work with you specifically," he mentioned.
"Me?" Weisz questioned as he blinked in surprise.
"Your Ether-Type Quirk's similar to mine in that it can get used up pretty quickly if you're not smart," he told him, causing him to cringe with embarrassment, "What I'm going to help you is how to use that power so that when you need to recharge, you won't have to worry about getting yourself killed," he noted, "For starters, your armor..." he started to say.
END FLASHBACK
'...isn't my only weapon...' Weisz recalled, balling his right hand into a fist, 'That's right, this whole building is basically tech...' he realized, opening his fist and placing his hand onto the floor, remembering how the walls had opened up earlier for the hordes of Nomu that attacked him and the others, 'And I can use it without using too much of my Quirk!' he added inwardly.
"What's wrong, brat?" Seth inquired from afar, aiming his revolver again, "Still figuring what the hell you need to-?" He stopped his question upon noticing the panels in the walls and floor shift. "Wh-What are you doing?!" he stammered, stumbling back.
"Based on the sound of your voice, I'd say you're awfully close..." the Machina Maker Quirk user concluded, "I'd love to tear your ass a new one with something cool, but I think I'll just scrap everything as far as I need to go!" he decided, digging his fingers into the floor as a yellow glow came off of them, "MORTAL CRASH!" he exclaimed. The floor and walls ahead burst apart in an instant, with Seth being caught up in the destruction as he was launched forward. Weisz took notice of him. "There you are..." he uttered in realization, launching forward.
Grimacing, the gunman readied his silencer and aimed at his foe's right knee. However, the shot he fired failed to hit as his opponent had increased the size of his suit's right forearm, blocking the incoming projectile. Underneath his armor, Weisz smirked.
"You know, I think I'm starting to like my new title!" he admitted, rearing his enlarged arm back as his foe gasped, "I'm Arsenal, the Weaponized Hero!" he proclaimed, "METALLICA... EXPLOSION!" he bellowed, slamming the enlarged fist into his opponent in an explosive blast, sending him flying back as both of his weapons shattered. He fell onto the floor hard, losing consciousness as his eyes were a pale white. Afterwards, the Arsenal armor came off of Weisz, who keeled over onto his left knee. "Man, maybe I would've held back if I knew he was such a scrawny little bastard..." he muttered out. He took a step forward, starting to fall over. Fortunately, a familiar red wing caught him.
"Hey there," Hawks greeted, causing him to perk up to see him and Fumikage there, "You handled that like a champ, huh?" he guessed.
"Where'd... you guys come from?" the Machina Maker Quirk user asked tiredly.
"We were separated from our group and wound up here," his classmate answered.
"At any rate, I'd say we take this guy into custody," the Wing Hero insisted, approaching the downed Seth. All of a sudden though, a cloud of purple mist erupted in front of him with a familiar pair of yellow-glowing eyes.
"I'm afraid I can't allow that, Hawks," the voice of Kurogiri stated as Weisz and Fumikage both gasped in shock.
"Okay, so when we get ourselves out, what next?" Setsuna asked of the departing group she was with.
"We'll have to avoid the fight between Justice and Elsie, obviously..." Momo answered, "Though, I'm not sure how that's going..." she mentioned grimly as she narrowed her eyes.
"Not to mention there's still Müller to worry about," Itsuka added, "If he's got more villains around this place and Nomu, who knows if Miss Holy's gonna be able to handle them all..." she muttered in admittance.
"That's true..." Momo agreed solemnly. Ahead of them, Gran Torino exhaled a deep breath.
"You kids are gonna be in the same situation someday, and there'll be people worried about you, too..." he pointed out to the U.A. students, getting their attentions, "Just know that they can handle something like this, and we'll only slow them down if we try to get involved now," he told them seriously.
"Y-Yes, sir!" Momo responded, while the Class B students nodded. In the meantime, Izuku and Rebecca tailed them as quickly as they could. The latter of the two was especially troubled by everything that was happening. She didn't know what exactly to really think. All of a sudden, another wall started to come down.
"Shoot!" Gran Torino yelped upon noticing, seeing that it was about to come down onto the Leaper Quirk user.
"Rebecca!" Izuku exclaimed, turning around and activating his Full Cowling. He quickly leapt toward her as she gasped in surprise, being tackled to the floor to avoid the wall from crashing down onto them.
"Midoriya! Bluegarden!" Setsuna cried out.
"Are you two alright?!" Momo immediately asked in concern.
"Yeah... I think so!" Izuku answered as he could hear their voices. Rebecca sat up and flinched from hearing another wall crash down behind her and her best friend. She looked back to see that they were completely walled up.
"No way..." she uttered, realizing they were trapped. But at that moment, a doorway opened up in front of her and Izuku, much to their surprise. They looked to each other in concern, wondering what they should do next. They didn't realize they were still being watched through the security cameras...
And we're getting and closer to this arc's conclusion! Up next will be the continuation of the fight against Müller! Stay tuned for that, as it'll hopefully be out this week. Thanks for reading, everyone!
