Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my story; I hope you all continue to enjoy my writing. With nothing else to say let's begin.
Set in Stone: Chapter 20
With Hiashi: Streets of Konoha
Hiashi was making his way back to the Hyuga compound with the other Hyuga that joined him at the chunin exam stadium. As he ran through the streets a thick mist began to form around him up until the point that he was not able to see in front of himself.
"What is this" Hiashi said "get into defensive position" Hiashi ordered and the Hyuga that were following him got into a defensive circle. They then heard a evil chuckle.
"Heart, brain, liver, kidneys, jugular; so many choices" came the voice; Hiashi activated his Byakugan and tried to look around, however the mist had chakra infused into it so he couldn't see anything.
"Those eyes of yours won't save you Hyuga" Zabuza said as he appeared in the middle of the defensive circle. Hiashi jumped just in time as Zabuza swung his sword decapitating all the other Hyuga.
"You" Hiashi said "you're Zabuza Momochi; rogue ninja of Kiri. What are you doing here" Hiashi asked and Zabuza chuckled.
"Why would I tell you that" Zabuza said "you're going to be dead in a few minutes anyways" he said before charging at Hiashi.
With Haku: Hyuga compound
Haku pulled another senbon out of the skull of another Hyuga council member; Haku sighed he did not like killing but he and Zabuza had a job to do.
"Why" a voice called; Haku turned and saw a mortally wounded council member "why did you kill my clansmen; why do you have to kill me" he asked.
"Nothing personal; just a job" Haku said before throwing a senbon into the skull of the dying man putting him out of his misery. 'Time to go' Haku thought as he disappeared in a swirl of ice.
With Naruto
Naruto got punched in the face by Sakon; Naruto taking the hit grabbed his arm and pulled him in. Naruto kneed Sakon in the face; Naruto then realized that his attack had no effect as Sakon formed a hand on his forehead stopping the blow.
Naruto was kicked in the face and was sent flying back until he landed; "ok you freaky bastard" Naruto said forming the cross handsign "let's get serious" Naruto said. Naruto then created a dozen clones; the clones charged Sakon.
Sakon started blocking and countered the clones with minor difficulty; Sakon then attempted to attack another clone but the clone dispersed abruptly. Sakon then saw Naruto and a clone rushing at him with a rasengan; Sakon did not have any time to react as he got hit in the gut full force with a rasengan.
With Hinata
Hinata was fighting Ukon; Ukon was on the back foot at he knew if he got hit by a gentle fist strike, he'd be in big trouble as one hit could shut down his chakra system. Hinata pressed her attack on Ukon and was able to land a direct hit on Ukon's stomach.
Ukon coughed up blood and was struck again by Hinata sending him skidding across the roof; when Ukon stopped he attempted to get up but could not.
"Ukon" Sakon shouted as he limped over to his brother; Sakon was bleeding heavily from the wound from Naruto's rasengan. "Brother; you ok" he asked and Ukon shook his head.
"No" Ukon said "little bitch messed me up" Ukon said; Sakon then grabbed his brother and fused with him.
"Let's get out of here" Sakon said as he then escaped the area with his wounded brother.
Hinata de-activated her Byakugan and turned to Naruto; Naruto walked over to her. Naruto then reached inside his mouth and pulled out a tooth that was knocked loose.
"Hey Hinata you think you can fix this" Naruto asked.
"Yes, I can" Hinata said "open your mouth" Hinata said; she then put the tooth back in and pushed down until the root was half in. "Ok now bite down" she said.
Naruto bit down and winced in pain "oww that hurt so bad" Naruto whined "stupid circus freak" Naruto said rubbing his jaw.
"Here let me heal you" Hinata said; her hands began to glow with healing chakra; after a few minutes Naruto's jaw was healed and his tooth was no longer hurting,
"Thanks, Hinata" Naruto said; he then heard 2 pairs of feet land, he turned and saw it was Gaara and Samui. "Hey you guys made it" Naruto said.
"Where are we needed" Gaara asked; he then heard a explosion from where the Hiruzen and the others were fighting Orochimaru "never mind" he said.
"Shall we assist them" Samui asked; Naruto nodded.
"Let's go" he said as he and the others began to run over 'hang on old man' Naruto thought.
With Tsume and Kuromaru
Tsume and Kuromaru attacked the second Hokage with a fang over fang; Tobirama dodged the attack and kicked both her and her dog away.
"You are very skilled " Tobirama said "but sadly you cannot win through your fighting style; it would be better if you try to seal me" he said.
Tsume got up and got ready "yeah but I'm more of a fighter than a fuinjutsu user" she said; just then she heard 2 sets of feet land behind her. She turned and saw Naruto and Hinata.
"Hey sweetie; how goes it" Naruto asked.
"I'm fine just getting my ass kicked by one of the strongest shinobi in konoha's history" Tsume joked.
"Ok then how about us 4 give it a shot" Naruto said; Tsume nodded.
"Ok let's do this" Tsume said.
With A
A was in a fast-paced taijutsu match with Hashirama; Hashirama was proving that he was called the god of shinobi for a reason. Hashirama was about to hit A until a wave of sand hit him head on.
"Lord Raikage" Samui said as she landed with Gaara "please let us offer you our assistance" she said pulling out her tanto.
"Hoho" Hashirama laughed as he got back up "I recognize that marking anywhere; you redhaired boy you hold the one tails don't you" he said.
Gaara nodded "yes I do; and I will use it's power to defeat you" he said; Hashirama then chuckled.
"I expect nothing less" Hashirama said "ok let's continue" he said as he charged at them; Gaara created a wave of sand to slow him down.
With Hiruzen
'Fire Style: Burning Ash' Hiruzen released a cloud of smoke; he then created a spark igniting the smoke. The ensuing explosion destroyed a decent part of the roof.
"Very good Hiruzen" Sasuke Sarutobi said "I never expected you to amount to much; but you seem to be at least capable" he said.
Hiruzen scowled "I am a better leader, better ninja and better man than you" Hiruzen said "you nearly drove our clan to extinction due to fighting with the Uchiha" he said.
Sasuke Sarutobi smirked "you never could make the hard choices Hiruzen" he said "you were always to soft hearted" he said. Hiruzen then went through hand seas and summoned Enma the monkey king; he then transformed into a giant bo staff.
"Maybe so" Hiruzen said "but I have no compassion in my heart for a monster like you; I will stop you" Hiruzen said.
"Don't lie to yourself Hiruzen" Sasuke Saurtobi said "you might start believing it" he said before charging Hiruzen and engaged in combat once again.
With Tsunade
Tsunade using her hundred healing mode was fighting toe to toe against Orochimaru; while she may have been a medic, she was no slouch when it came to fighting. Tsunade cocked back her fist and threw a punch at Orochimaru; Orochimaru got hit in the gut and was sent flying to the other side of the roof.
"You have gotten sloppy Orochimaru" Tsunade said "you know all those fancy techniques and yet you are getting your ass kicked by a medic; guess you aren't that impressive without your lackies backing you up" Tsunade taunted.
Orochimaru was enraged; nothing was going as planned. The one tails was not rampaging through the village, the barrier was down, his sound 4 was split up and 3 edo tensei puppets were fighting against other threats.
"Damn it" Orochimaru cursed as he took out his sword "I will win; I've come to far to fail now" he shouted as he charged at Tsunade.
With Naruto, Tsume and Hinata
"Rasengan" Naruto shouted as he plunged the jutsu into Tobirama; Tobirama had a chunk ripped out of him but it soon repaired itself "no fair; why can't you be destroyed" Naruto shouted.
"Because you need to destroy the marker inside me" Tobirama said "keep on attacking me and eventually you'll find it" he said.
Hinata hearing this used her Byakugan to scan Tobirama; when she did, she found what she was looking for "the marker is in his head" Hinata shouted. Tsume and Naruto nodded at the information.
"Ok aim for the head" Tsume said as she and her nin dog performed a fang over fang; Tobirama jumped over the attack avoiding getting hit.
Tobirama then heard someone coming up from behind him; he then saw Naruto with a red chakra cloak charging at him with a rasengan in his hand. Tobirama blocked the strike and elbowed Naruto in the gut knocking the wind out of him; Tobirama was about to hit Naruto once again but was stopped.
Hinata had taken the opportunity when his back was turned to destroy the marker inside his head; Tobirama's body then began to turn into dust. As it did so the body of a random person fell to the ground.
"So, they really used a human sacrifice to perform the jutsu" Tsume said looking at the body "how low" she said.
"C'mon girls" Naruto said "we got to help out the old man and Tsunade" he said; both Tsume and Hinata nodded and ran off to go help out.
With Sarada, Jiraya and the others
Sarada and Jiraya were fighting against Danzo; Danzo had his prosthetic arm and all his sharingan out as he battled the 2.
"Your even a bigger scumbag than I thought Danzo" Sarada said "stealing from the dead and from my clan no less; despicable" Sarada said.
Danzo narrowed his eyes and glared at Sarada "I don't know how we missed you during the massacre; but I will fix that mistake right now" Danzo said as he then summoned several large wooden spikes from the ground.
Sarada and Jiraya dodged and both went through hand signs.
'Water Style: Toad oil' Jiraya then spewed out a river of oil from his mouth.
'Fire Style: Fire ball Jutsu' Sarada fired a stream of fire that ignited the oil.
As the inferno erupted Danzo jumped out of the flames burned but still alive.
"Damn I was hoping that would finish it" Sarada said as she removed her glasses "I guess I have no choice" she said. 'Susanoo' just then Sarada's incomplete Susanoo appeared and Danzo became more concerned.
'Who the hell is this girl' Danzo thought.
With A, Gaara and Samui
A threw another punch at Hashirama; Hashirama responded by dodging and countering. A was kicked in the face and then flipped; Hashirama then created a wooden spike from the ground attempting to impale A.
Luckily A was saved at the last minute by Gaara who used his sand to catch him before he hit the spike; Samui used the moment to slice off Hashirama's arm freeing A from his clutches.
"Keep it up children" Hashirama said "just keep chipping away at me and eventually you will be victorious" he said.
"Praising your opponents" Samui said "you are a very kind man" she said; Hashirama smiled.
"I prefer to be a humble man" Hashirama said "my brother is a the egotistical one" he said. Hashirama then saw sand crawl up his leg and then encase his entire body; he looked and saw Gaara.
"Ahh distracting me to deliver the final blow" Hashirama said "excellent thinking" Hashirama said. Before Gaara completely encased him he spoke.
"You were an excellent opponent" Gaara said "if you were at full power would you have won" he asked and Hashirama laughed.
"Of course," he said "I wasn't even able to do half the things I could do when I was alive; if I was you 3 would've been dead in in seconds" he said before he was fully encased.
"We are fortunate then" Gaara said "Sand coffin: Sand Funeral" Gaara shouted. Gaara then crushed Hashirama with all his might ensuring that nothing remained for he to regenerate; after a few minutes of holding the sand coffin Gaara released it and the sand poured to the ground.
The sacrifice that was used for the edo tensei was barely recognizable; Gaara then recalled all his sand to his gourd. "We should go assist the others" Gaara said. A and Samui nodded and the 3 went off.
With Zabuza
Zabuza was using his mist to ambush and throw off Hiashi; due to his mist being infused with chakra Hiashi's Byakugan was almost completely useless. Zabuza used his speed and his stealth to rush Hiashi once more; Hiashi barely moved out of the way in time and was nicked on his side.
"Coward" Hiashi shouted "come out and face me with honor" he shouted; Zabuza chuckled from the mist.
"Coward, honor; what a joke" Zabuza said "honor has no place on the battlefield; it's kill or be killed. You Hyuga always made me sick; talking about your perfect eyes like they were some kind of treasure" Zabuza said. Hiashi grew angry at this.
"Let me tell you something Hyuga" Zabuza said "during the last war I was the one called in to kill the Hyuga if they ever popped up; hell, I even killed a main branch like you once. Plucked out his remaining eye and gave it to a comrade named Ao; you Hyuga never did learn to adapt" he said.
Hiashi was about to respond but was unable to; Zabuza came form behind and used his giant sword to cleave Hiashi in half. Hiashi was cut in half at the waist; he was still barely alive on the ground when Zabuza approached. Zabuza then crushed Hiashi's head with his foot as a coup de grace.
"Looks like the job is done" Zabuza said "time to collect the payment" he said. As the mist lifted Zabuza vanished; leaving only the corpses of Hiashi and his clansmen.
With Sarada and Jiraya
Sarada and Jiraya were still fighting Danzo as he seemed to be more of a problem then they realized; Sarada's eyes were bleeding and her vision even with glasses was very blurry. 'Damn I can't see very well' Sarada thought 'all I can see is colors now' she thought.
Sarada then saw a blur of grey and struck at it; Danzo narrowly avoided the strike from Sarada's Susanoo.
Danzo was on the back foot; he had used up 6 of his 10 sharingan to perform Izanagi to keep himself from dying. Danzo was then pushed back by a wall of mud created by Jiraya; Jiraya then jumped forward and began throwing punches at Danzo.
Danzo blocked several punched and then decided to return one; Jiraya caught the punch and held his arm. "Yugao; now" Jiraya shouted; Danzo became confused.
Yugao in a blur came down from her hiding spot and with a swift stroke sliced off Danzo's arm containing 3 of his remaining Sharingan. Danzo screamed in pain as his arm was sliced off; Jiraya then tackled Danzo to the ground and held him.
"I'll be taking this" Yugao said as she reached down and plucked Danzo's last remaining sharingan; Danzo screamed on the ground in agony as Jiraya held him down.
"Where is he" Sarada said deactivating her Susanoo "am I close; I can't see shit" Sarada said.
"Over here Sarada" Yugao said; Sarada followed her voice until she was next to her.
"Can I use your sword to finish him off" Sarada asked; Yugao handed her the sword and positioned Sarada over Danzo with the tip facing down. "This is for my clan" Sarada said; she then brought down the sword and stabbed Danzo through the eye socket killing him instantly.
Sarada then pulled out the sword and gave it back to Yugao "how many Sharingan do we have" Sarada asked.
"4 Sharingan in total" Jiraya said and Sarada nodded.
"Due to over exertion I'm blind now" Sarada said "I need Tsunade, Tsubaki or Shizune to transplant those eyes into me" she said.
"I'll take care of her Jiraya" Yugao said grabbing Sarada's hand "you go help mop up the remaining root members" she said.
Jiraya nodded and got up; he then put his hand on Sarada's shoulder "you did good sweetie" he said before he ran off.
Sarada smiled "he's kinda nice when he isn't a pervert" Sarada said and Yugao chuckled.
"It's a shame he's not like that more often" Yugao said "come on let's get you somewhere less dangerous" she said as she began leading the now blind Sarada.
With Hiruzen
Hiruzen was still fighting against his father and was losing; even in his prime Hiruzen doubted that he could win against his father. As Hiruzen got slashed across the back by Sasuke he retaliated by winging his staff at him and missed.
"Just give up Hiruzen" Sasuke said "you cannot win against me; just surrender. Your death will be less painful that way" he said.
Hiruzen getting back into his stance glared at his father "as long as I'm alive I will never surrender" he said.
Sasuke chuckled "you spent too much time with Hashirama" Sasuke said "If you'd- "Sasuke began until he was trapped inside a puppet.
"Got you, you bastard" Kankuro said "talking in battle will get you killed" he said; Kankuro had trapped Sasuke in his Ant puppet. He then sent his crow puppet into the air and disassembled it.
"Let me out of here" Sasuke demanded; Kankuro then activated the blades on all the parts and brought them down 'Art of the Iron Maiden'. Kankuro then sent the blades into his puppet skewering Sasuke Sarutobi "Lord Hokage: Burn him" Kankuro yelled.
Hiruzen did not hesitate 'Fire Style: Great Flame technique' Hiruzen then blew out a stream of intense fire at the puppet containing his reincarnated father. Hiruzen pumped even more chakra into his jutsu to ensure it lasted longer; when the flames stopped there was nothing left. Both the puppet and his reincarnated father were burned to nothing.
Hiruzen collapsed and began to breath heavily "thank you Kankuro" Hiruzen said and Kankuro nodded.
"No problem" he said "I would've been here sooner but Gaara left me behind at the chamber; little asshole" Kankuro said as he plopped down next to Hiruzen. "Well, I'm out of the fight; I have no more puppets left" Kankuro said.
"I'll be sure to reimburse you for it" Hiruzen said getting back up "I'm going to rejoin the fight; you find a place to rest" Hiruzen said and Kankuro nodded.
With Tsunade and Orochimaru
Tsunade and Orochimaru were both bleeding and breathing heavily; they both pushed each other to their limits and were dead even.
"Give up Orochimaru" Tsunade said "face it you lost; your plan has failed" Tsunade said and Orochimaru growled.
Before Orochimaru could way anything he dodged 2 spinning vortexes'; Tsume and Kuromaru both stopped a few feet away.
Orochimaru was then attacked from behind by Naruto and Hinata who were trying to hit Orochimaru; Orochimaru swung his sword at Naruto but was stopped when he was knocked off balance by a wave of sand hitting him.
As Orochimaru got his bearings he saw Hiruzen, Tsunade, A, Naruto, Tsume, Hinata, Gaara, and Samui standing ready.
'I can't fight them all' Orochimaru thought 'I have to withdraw'; "this isn't over; I'll kill you all and destroy this village. Just you wait" Orochimaru yelled as he then reversed summoned himself away from the battle.
"Damn it he got away" A shouted in anger.
"Let him go" Hiruzen said "we'll find him soon enough" he said.
"Man, this is going to take forever to fix" Naruto said looking at the destruction.
"Nonsense Naruto" Hiruzen said "as long as the will of fire is alive; the leaf will never fade away" Hiruzen said.
"I will send a message back home to call for some help" A said "It's time the leaf and cloud bury the hatchet" A said.
"I believe that would be a step in the right direction" Hinata said; Naruto then grabbed her and smiled.
On the wall of the village
"Wow look at all this destruction" Kisame said "it's amazing isn't it Itachi" he asked; Itachi didn't respond he just looked at the burning village. "What don't tell me you are getting sentimental now" Kisame asked.
"No, I'm not" Itachi said "we are here for a reason; let's find the 9 tails vessel and be on our way" Itachi said. The 2 men then disappeared in a swirl of leaves leaving no trace of their presence.
