Mario and Luigi celebrated their birthday with their friends. The party was filled with laughter and joy as everyone gathered to honor the beloved brothers. The room was adorned with colorful decorations and a large birthday cake stood proudly in the center. Mario and Luigi were surrounded by their loved ones, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
"Oh, yeah!" Mario and Luigi said, smiling.
"Happy birthday, you two!" Peach says, kissing Mario's cheek.
"Mama-mia…" Mario says as Yoshi eats the cake.
Soon, Lincoln was having his birthday and he saw Lucy had forgotten his day. He looked down.
The next day was Halloween and the anniversary. Luke was too upset that morning to surprise the cups with breakfast.
Lucy came in. "Happy Anniversary." Lucy says to the cups.
Luke was mad at Chalice more than anyone. While he knew about her having a night with her friends, she didn't think that it would be the same night where Luke needed her.
Chalice wakes up and finds Luke. She finds Luke eating breakfast by himself.
"Lukey?" She asked.
"You missed the first student council presidential debate." Luke sniffed. "I needed you that night. I felt all alone on stage…"
"Sorry, I was busy. I didn't know it was on that night." Chalice says.
Lucy and her Mortician club was in charge of the Halloween decorations. Lucy and Haiku had to rebuild the club with nicer members who wouldn't be reckless.
"Isn't tonight your first night with your band?" Haiku asked as Lucy nodded shyly. She looked nervous.
"Good luck." Maggie says as Lucy nods before seeing a different family put on scarier decorations.
"They're good." one new member says.
Meanwhile, Leni was thinking of a gift for Lori's 24th birthday, which was in November.
Oliver was watching for the band as there was a Halloween concert. He hoped no one would steal it, and this was at the Fairway Fright Fest.
Soon, the band showed up as Lucy was excited. This was her first time performing with the band.
The festival begins
"Luke, I'm sorry, I really am." Chalice says. "I feel horrible about missing your first presidential debate…"
Luke forgives her.
There were haunted rides, pumpkin carving, spooky treats, various midway games, various contests, vendors selling their wares, and a hay maze. Luke dares the cups to try the hay maze.
"Not now! This costume is too tight!" Mugman says.
"You're dressed as a pirate. That's not a tight costume." Oliver says.
"Leni says I have to wear a different costume for my anniversary and the performance." Mugman says.
"Yeah, I never wear what I want to wear." Cuphead says.
Luke was furious with Leni. He told her not to dictate what his band members should dress like.
"Whoa, Luke, I like the costume. I appreciate what your sister did, but Cuphead…ripped his." Mugman says
Everyone laughed as Cuphead ripped his pants.
"I hate being told what to wear on Halloween!" Cuphead says.
The devil spies on them through a mirror.
"Henchman, release the 4 horsemen! It's been 11 years and I won't lose!" The devil says.
Lucy sees the 4 horsemen.
"Excited gasp!" Lucy says.
"You summoned demons?" Lola asked.
"Nope." Lucy says.
Cuphead and Mugman went into the hay maze just to avoid others since Lucy made it scarier, but Cuphead wasn't nervous. Mugman had wet his pants.
"Hey, don't be a wet blanket." Cuphead says
"I'll show you a wet blanket!" Mugman says as Bowlboy came in with a horse serial killer mask and a chainsaw.
"Bowlboy/Horsebowl?!" Cuphead and Mugman say. Cuphead turns as he and Bowlboy freeze in terror, seeing the horsemen. The horses scream at Mugman's awful horse mask as they run off.
"Hey, were those dead horsemen?" Mugman asked.
Soon, they get ready to perform. Lucy sees the crowd and was nervous about Cuphead kicking her out for being horrible. Cuphead gives her a reassuring smile.
"Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Elemental Strike!" Lori says. Everyone cheered as they came on stage.
They began the show with "Goo Goo Muck", which got the crowd excited.
"Elemental Strike, Elemental Strike!" They chanted. The crowd loved everything about the performance.
Lucy wasn't sure when to do her piano work. Cuphead nodded and told her to go on.
Lucy goes on. The crowd loved Lucy. Lucy smiled and kept going. After she finished, everyone cheered.
After the show, Luke went off to his dorm. He didn't feel like partying much.
The devil arrived.
"You! It's time to settle the score" the Devil says as Cuphead smirks.
"What better way to celebrate our 11th anniversary than to beat you again!" Cuphead says and uses his finger peashooter.
"No, we worked so hard…" Amy says. But the fight was outside of the party.
The Devil shot flames everywhere as it was a fierce battle. The Devil then looked at Cuphead's party and grinned evilly. He shot a blast at the party, burning it.
"Ha!" The devil says.
"I ain't too worried about it." Cuphead says as he parries some attacks and uses a Super Art.
Lucy was reading Luke a poem. Luke was lower than ever.
"You'll win the presidential election." Lucy says.
Luke stares out the window, then looks down. They don't need his help. They never would need his help.
"Is this because Chalice planned a party without you?" Lucy asked.
"That, and she missed an important debate." Luke sobbed. "I needed her that night, Lucy!"
Cuphead and Mugman defeated the devil, who groaned and left, annoyed.
"The party…we worked so hard on it." Amy says
"There, there…it's okay." Peach says.
Luke was seen sobbing against Lucy. Lucy sighed. She had to skip Haiku's 18th birthday, but it was for Luke's sake. Luke still didn't feel stable.
Haiku heads out to go to her own party.
Oliver fixed the cups' party with magic. It looked better than before. They smiled at this and hugged Olier.
Chalice felt ashamed and swore she would do anything to earn her husband's trust back. And she meant anything.
"You can start by being there for Luke next week. That will be the second presidential debate." Lucy says. Chalice nodded.
Cuphead opens his first gift, seeing a new computer. He grinned at this.
Mugman's first gift was an art print of the cups' first book cover that featured the cup trio on a roller coaster with Chalice and Cuphead in the front car and Mugman hanging on for dear life. He smiled at this.
"I like it!" Mugman says.
Lincoln smiled. "I'm glad you like it." He says. "I drew it, colored it, and framed it all myself."
Luna squealed as the Moon Goats were given a chance to perform during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
With Luke, he still felt broken. Lucy took care of him. All Luke could think about was his second debate next week.
Lucy feeds him his dinner.
The cups got their own parade. Everyone was cheering as they waved from their parade float.
"This is amazing!" Mugman says.
"I know!" Cuphead says.
The cups did some tricks once their float came to a stop.
People cheered for the cup brothers.
Soon, they see a highlight reel of their best moments.
"We sure have come a long way, Mugsy." Cuphead says.
"Yeah." Mugman says.
After that, Chalice emerges with a red & blue 11-shaped piñata. The cups grinned and grabbed their bats.
They soon hit it and break it open, taking their share of the candy and goodies. They got Luke's share and allowed Chalice to deliver it to him later.
Sometime later, the red & blue marble cake was presented to the cups. They smile at this as everyone sings and cheers for them.
Cuphead wished Mugman would win the student council election.
Mugman thinks of his wish as well. He wished he could win, but deep down, he wished that Luke and Chalice would make up.
The cup brothers blew out their 11 candles. Amid all the wild cheering, the lingering smoke from the candles hung in the air.
The brothers cut their cake and took their slices before eating them.
With Luke, he still felt unloved and betrayed. He laid on his bed in his costume, sniffling.
Lucy kissed him on the head.
