Lucy and Charity were planning Luke's birthday. But after Luke overheard plans for events prior to his birthday, he left the house. He went far enough to where he could be by himself.
Oliver woke up as it was his wedding anniversary.
"Happy anniversary!" Amber says.
"Thanks, same to you." Oliver says.
Emma had a drawing for them.
"Awww, thank you." Amber says and sees it.
It was a crude drawing, but Amber loved it all the same.
She then came down to breakfast.
"Happy anniversary." Skylia says as she and Bob made her favorite anniversary breakfast. Her parents died a while back. Brandy and Randy waved.
"Thanks, guys." Amber says.
Lucy finds Luke. "Hey, Luke, I'm planning your birthday and I'm picking up your cake today. I'll be back." Lucy says, unaware of what Cuphead planned behind her back. Heck, Mugman is the only one who really knows what's going on.
Luke smiled a bit before looking back down.
"Something wrong?" Lucy asked.
Luke didn't want to say anything.
"I'll make sure they don't forget your birthday." Lucy says and leaves.
"There you are! I need to measure you for your birthday suit. And crown and throne!" Leni says. Something Luke actually had to be present for. But if it kept him away from the other siblings for a while, so be it.
Leni and Luke head off.
Gabriel sees Oliver.
"Happy anniversary, son." Gabriel says.
"Thanks." Oliver says. He wondered if the siblings or Luke actually cared; he overhears them only talking about Luke.
"I bet your kingdom is willing to celebrate this" Gabriel says.
"Luke hates me, doesn't he?" Oliver asks Gabriel. "Be honest with me."
"Yeah, he kinda does. I mean, you kicked him off the golf team because you wanted to be captain, just to spite him." Gabriel says. "And I heard you rigged the student council votes. It was clear Luke won, but you didn't want him to be student council president. I think you just love when he loses."
"You're not canceling my anniversary, are you?" Oliver asked.
"I should, after the way you treated your own brother." Gabriel says.
He looks ashamed. Soon the siblings approach him.
"We're not celebrating your anniversary, you don't deserve it." Lori says as Amber overhears this.
"You cheated your brother out of so many things…I thought you changed." Amber says and leaves.
Oliver looks down in shame.
Cuphead sends wedding invitations to everyone.
"Oh, the bachelor party." Cuphead says, thinking of tomorrow.
Lucy came home.
"You're getting married on the 13th? Why didn't you tell us?" Lynn asked.
"What?" Lucy asked.
Luke spent hours with Leni, getting measured for suits, then looking for crowns and thrones. Afterwards, he finally went to be alone.
"Mom, why does Luke always spend time alone?" Leni asked.
"Right now, he feels forgotten in all that's happening around here." Charity says.
"How?" Leni asked. "How does he always feel forgotten when he knows that we love him?" Leni asked.
"Sometimes he feels like he's being overlooked for something or someone that deserves the attention more. And he's still mad at Oliver." Charity says. "Not to mention that he feels overwhelmed sometimes. It's part of who he is."
Amber gave Oliver his anniversary gift.
"I thought I didn't deserve it." Oliver says.
"You at least deserve this." Amber says.
He opens it to reveal a men's emerald bracelet with a golf course charm on it. Oliver smiled a little. He sadly puts on the bracelet as Amber leaves.
The next day, Cuphead invited all the men that he knew. Mugman wasn't able to attend because Margo wanted him to attend her hockey game. Cuphead sees Mugman decked out in his "Blue Jays" hockey jersey and baseball cap. His jersey had Margo's name on the back of it.
"Bye, Cuppy. I'll see you later. Have fun at your party, all right?" Mugman says as he heads to Margo's game.
Lynn was getting ready for the game with Margo. As captain of the hockey team, Margo was always prepared.
"Sigh." Lucy sighed, crossing her arms.
"I know it isn't an ideal bachelorette party, but, you know…the game being tonight and all…." Lynn says.
"Whatever." Lucy sighed.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Margo asked.
"I'm nervous for tomorrow. Sigh." Lucy says.
"Do you want this? The wedding, I mean." Margo asked.
"I-I…" Lucy stammered, unsure. "Yes." she says, uncertain.
"You can be honest, Luce." Lynn says. "You can tell me anything." Lynn then grabs her sister's hands and looks at her, smiling a reassuring smile.
"I don't know." Lucy says. "I don't want to, but Cuphead will shatter."
"If it was me, Lucy, I would be honest with him. When me and Mugman made our wedding plans, which was very recently, we agreed to wait a year or two. We didn't want to rush into marriage right away." Margo says.
"I'm not sure. I just know he'll hate me." Lucy says.
Mugman comes in and for the first time, he sees things from Lucy's perspective. He could see the tears flowing down her face. He could see she was scared and unsure.
Lucy began to write: "It's happening so fast. I have no time to enjoy. I have no choice, it is for Cuphead's joy."
Mugman reads this. "Lucy, would you like me to talk to him about this? I feel like he's rushing you into this." He says.
Lucy nods. "I…I wanted to wait…I…just…" Lucy sniffed. She ran away as the game started.
Lucy ran into Haiku. Haiku opened her arms wide as Lucy collapsed into them, sobbing.
With the men, they were partying like no tomorrow.
"This is the best!" Cuphead says as he and Alvin lit up fireworks.
The next day, Lucy woke up in Haiku's room.
"What happened?" Lucy asked.
"You stayed overnight with me, remember?" Haiku says.
"Sigh, I need to get ready." Lucy says, forcing herself to get ready for marriage that was too fast. But Mugman was at Haiku's door, and he was concerned for Lucy.
"Lucy, I talked to my brother. He had no idea how scared you were. He says that the wedding can be moved up a year. He didn't think of you when he was planning this." Mugman says.
Lucy smiled.
On December 14th, Lucy wakes up.
"Happy Birthday, Lucy." Cuphead says, holding her birthday pancakes that were in the shape of a ghost. For the first time on this day, Lucy smiled.
"Thanks." Lucy says. "These look amazing."
Lucy began to eat her breakfast.
"What would you like to do today?" Cuphead asked.
"I'm not sure." Lucy says. Lucy had never kcelebrated.
Cuphead gets an idea and takes her out to a scary restaurant as Lucy smiles a bit.
Later, Cuphead meets the band at a pizza restaurant. "I got Elemental Strike a gig." Cuphead says.
"Do tell." Luke says.
"Lay it on us, ding-dong." Chalice says.
"For a Christmas parade." Cuphead says.
"Go on…" Luke says.
"We're getting paid $500,000 for this." he says
"Nice!" Oliver says.
Luke looked down at his plate of pizza and sniffed.
"Luke's 20th birthday is tomorrow." Cuphead says
"I actually got us a gig for an event centered around Luke's birthday." Chalice says.
"And me!" Oliver says, annoyed. Luke just stormed out as Amber entered the restaurant.
"Oliver!" Amber screamed at him. "COME HERE NOW!"
Oliver's blood ran cold. He knew he was in big trouble.
Oliver came over to her.
"And just what do you THINK you're doing?!" Amber shouts at Oliver.
"I just wanted to celebrate my birthday tomorrow…." he says. Amber grabs him by the arm and escorts him out. Amber then called Gabriel as she did so.
Lucy finds Luke. Luke was terrified of Oliver now.
Charity was there, too.
"Luke?" Lucy asked.
"Honey…" Charity says.
Lucy holds him close.
"He will kill me…." Luke sniffed.
"No, he won't…over my dead body!" Lucy says as this caused Oliver to lose his fans.
Later, they set up Lucy's birthday party. It was just going to be her, Luke, Cuphead, Mugman, Chalice, Haiku, and Charity.
Lucy sees this. "A party for me? Okay, let me get ready." Lucy says.
Luke kept a close eye on her as she entered the bathroom.
An hour later, Haiku sees Lucy's battered body with cuts everywhere, her legs were broken, and her chest was cut open. Her poem book was ruined. Luke was beating the living hell out of Oliver while Gabriel and Amber were in disbelief. Oliver was too weak to move or speak, and his magic was rendered useless in this instance.
Luan and Luna focused on healing Lucy and Lori made her poem book look like new again.
Lucy was shaking and shaking hard. Lynn ran up to Lucy and held her.
"I-I never should have tried to celebrate…" Lucy sniffed.
"Oliver is going to a mental institution far from here." Lynn says. "We're going to go and have some cake now, okay? You're safe."
Lucy clung to Lynn as they went inside.
Gabriel and Amber are taking Oliver to the mental institution. Gabriel is in utter disbelief. Amber can't believe what just happened. Oliver couldn't use magic or his powers to get out of this.
Lucy sees the death by chocolate cake Luan and Luke made. She smiled as Cuphead sang to her.
"Make a wish, my love." Cuphead says.
Lucy just wished for Luke to be happy then blew out the candles before she ran up to her room, overwhelmed.
"I never got to give her an actual birthday party…" Cuphead says.
"Cuppy, she's been through a lot tonight." Mugman says. "I think all she wants now is for you to be there for her. "
Lucy was in her room, sobbing. "Luke will never love Lucy…" Lucy sniffed.
Luke comes up, two slices of cake in hand. "Can I come in?" He asked. Lucy nods.
"Hey, sis. Are you okay?" Luke asked, giving Lucy her slice of cake before taking a bite of his own.
"Lucy isn't okay…Lucy's going to fail tomorrow…" Lucy sniffed.
"No, you won't. I promise." Luke says, holding Lucy.
Gabriel and Amber just look at Oliver pitifully, arms crossed and glaring at him.
"Luke and I were supposed to celebrate today, but Lucy stole our day! Their bond won't last, we all know Luke would choose his birthday over a person just like I would! Lucy served her purpose, but I wanted her dead! Since she doesn't want to plan my day and Luke took my fanbase, I figured Luke should lose her!" Oliver says, full of hate. "And yes, hearing him cry over his losses was pretty satisfying."
Security guards shot him with tranquilizer darts right at that moment. He collapsed and was taken to solitary confinement.
With Lucy, she was shaking in her bed while eating her cake. She soon heads to bed but had a nightmare.
Oliver was stabbing Luke and Lucy was forced to watch him. Then he drank the life out of Cuphead. He then stabbed Lincoln.
"No, no, no!" Lucy shrieked as she sobbed so hard, she vomited. Lucy was really sick. "Luke…Cuphead...Lincoln…" She groaned as her face turned green.
Luan holds Lucy's head over the toilet for the rest of the night.
