Kieran pulled into parking garage and parked next to his dad's car. The group of kids all got and started walking towards the store front. As they rounded the corner Nathan Scott and Ted Davis were talking to each other. The two adults noticed when Lily walked around the corner quickly ended their conversations. Lily smiled when she saw her uncle and grandfather.

"How was your very first day of high school?" Nathan and Ted said in unison to Jamie and Lily.

"It was great!" Jamie said as he hugged his dad. "I made the team, no surprise there,"He laughed then smiled as Lily said a similar thing. Davis added in his two cents as Kieran and Charlie rounded the corner. Ted was the first to notice Kieran's eye and quickly walked through the teenagers. The corner of his mouth was slightly straight, which typically meant he was angry.

"What the hell happened to you?" Ted asked as he looked over his grandson. Nathan shook his head as he walked over to the teenager. He looked him over and then turned to his son.

"Jamie can you go get your uncle." Nathan said as Jamie nodded and went inside. The rest of the group followed Jamie inside and went up the stairs to the rooftop terrace at Karen's Café. Jamie walked over to Lucas and told him to go downstairs. Lucas nodded and then walked down the stairs. He was checking his phone and saw he had a text from Skills. He groaned as he read the text and walked through the doorframe. Kieran was facing the doorframe and saw his dad's expression changed. Kieran hung his head and Lucas sighed.

"What happened." Lucas stated plainly as he walked up to his eldest son. Brooke was putting an ice pack on his lip and looked at her husband.

"He was just about to tell us." Brooke said and then looked back her son.

"Let me just say I walked away." Kieran started.

"Clearly no you didn't." Lucas said angrily. He shook his head and told his son to continue.

"I got in a fight with Bryce in the locker room." Kieran said and then rubbed his neck. He let out a sigh and continued. "He just kept getting under my skin and wouldn't stop. I tried to leave with Parker and Charlie. You can go upstairs and ask Charlie. Well Bryce shoved me into the door and I fell through it. I hit my elbow on the ground actually." He said as he pushed up his sleeve and there was a cut there. "After that I shoved him, and the fight broke out. Uncle Skills stopped it and I left." He said. He hadn't mentioned what caused the fight yet. There was a long pause as Lucas didn't know what to say. Lucas rubbed his mouth with his hands and then started to talk.

"How did you not hear a fight in the locker room." Brooke asked her husband.

"I was on the phone for a meeting. Remember?" Lucas said back a bit rudely. It was very clear that the two had been having difficulties lately. They have been going to counseling and it has started to help. "What was the fight about? Dumb locker room talk?" He asked. Kieran sighed and shook his head.

"Is Clark getting out of jail?" Kieran asked as Lucas' whole demeanor changed. He let out a huge sigh and sat down in the chair at the counter. He rubbed his eyes and then looked at his son. Ted and Nathan took this as a good time to make their way upstairs so they did. After the door shut to the stairs Lucas looked at his son.

"Yes he is." Lucas said as Brooke put her hand on her son's shoulder.

"Honey we found out recently. We just didn't know how to tell you." She said as Kieran nodded.

"Well I think I would have liked to have known from my parents instead of Bryce Goins. He called me Kieran Jones and it just really hit a nerve and I don't know. I'm sorry I got in a fight." He said and then let out a sigh. Kieran's head was hanging as Brooke rubbed his back. She looked at her husband and shook her head. Lucas looked at her and then back at his son. He thought of how His mom would have handle this, or what his uncle might have said.

"Key." Lucas said as he lifted his son's head. "We're sorry. We should have told you sooner."

"Yes we really should have. How did Bryce know?" Brooke asked clearly upset.

"His dad." Kieran said as Lucas was looking at Kieran's face.

"I think I will be calling the school in the morning." She said as Lucas nodded in agreement. "I can't believe he would share information like that with anyone." She said as she pulled her phone out. "I'm calling now." She said.

"No mom you can't." Kieran said. "I said some things back to him that could get me into trouble." He added as Lucas sighed.

"Oh, you did." Brooke stated as Kieran nodded. Lucas chose to ignore this and focused on his son in the present.

"Did you clean the cuts on your face or arms?" Lucas asked as he noticed the cuts were dirty.

"Uh kinda." Kieran said as Lucas lightly pressed against one of the cuts on Kieran's face. Kieran then winced away from his dad's grip. Lucas slightly smirked knowing he was right that they weren't cleaned. "Sam helped me." He added as Lucas walked around the counter and grabbed the first aide kit. He walked back to his son while he laughed a bit.

"So that apology you did in my class today worked?" Lucas asked as he cleaned the cuts.

"Uhh… I think it was the fight with Bryce actually." Kieran said.

"Why did you break up with her this morning?" Lucas asked as Brooke smiled and then walked up the stairs. Ever since Kieran made the team his freshman year, it had really put a strain on Lucas and his relationship. Most practices ended with Kieran storming out of the gym after having to run so much. By nature Kieran is a bit goofy. He is often in trouble for making jokes in class, and ultimately gets punished for it during practice by running, or some cases sitting the bench. This is a standard Lucas holds all his players to, but with Kieran he is harder.

"I couldn't even tell you honestly. She's been a total nightmare since I got back from Milan. She kept saying that I cheated on her, or that I was lying and texting other girls. Which isn't true. Then today she asked if the fight was about her. I can't even think of a reason why Bryce and I would be in a fight about Samantha. I like her but she's so damn dramatic." He said as Lucas laughed a bit. He was thinking about when he was sitting in that same seat while his mom had the same discussions with him.

"Are Bryce and Sam even friends?" Lucas asked as he finished cleaning the cuts. He motioned to the stair case and they both started walking towards it.

"No I don't even think they've ever had a class together." Kieran added as he followed his dad up the stairs. "So I know I'm probably grounded for a couple weeks but can I keep the car since you'll be out of town?" He asked as Lucas stopped on the stairs. He turned and faced his son with a smile.

"I'm actually very proud of you." Lucas said. "You tried to walk away and there is a big difference between starting a fight and protecting yourself. This time no you aren't grounded, you can keep your phone and car. You showed you were mature when Davis needed a ride home and even though you were with your friends, you still went and got him. I appreciate that a ton. Now I don't want you fighting so as your coach you will be running in practice for the rest of week. Two miles each practice. That's just the rules. As your father…" He stopped and smiled. "I'm pretty damn proud you stood up for yourself." He said as Kieran smiled.

"Thanks dad." Kieran said as Lucas patted his back and then turned around. They walked up the rest of the stairs and out the door. The rooftop lights had just came on and it lit up the area. The family was already seated at the table. It was one long table with chairs on each side. Lucas sat down at the head of the table. On his right Victoria was seated then Keith, Lydia, Davis, Brooke Jamie and then Haley. At the other end on the table Nathan was seated with Lily next to him, then Charlie, followed by Allison and then Kieran and lastly Ted was seated. The dinner was in full swing and there were many conversations going on. Nathan sat back in his seat and watched. He watched for a while and then Lily looked at hers uncle with a smile.

"What are you thinking about Uncle Nate?" She asked as he leaned forward with a smile.

"You, them, us, this year. I used to be in your seat. It's the oldest story in the world. One dat you're 17 and planning for someday. And then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And this is your life. I remember high school like it was yesterday and remember making my friends. Now look, it's your turn. It's next generation of Scotts making their way through the same halls we faced. No matter what happens, and where this next chapter in life takes you, you're always have an army behind you." Nathan said as the family started to listen to him as he talked. He finished what he was saying and Haley smiled.

"Well said Nathan." Haley said with a smile. "I think this would be a great time to hear about how everyone's first day went." She said as she stood up and walked over to where she had dessert sitting.

"Who wants to go first?" Brooke asked as Allison almost fell out of her chair raising her hand in the air. "Well I think we know who. How was kindergarten?" She asked as the five-year-old stood up in her chair. She used Kieran to balance her and was pushing in to him.

"You good?" Kieran asked as he put a hand on Allison's back. She looked down at him with a face full of sassy.

"Shhh I'm talking now." Allison said as Kieran and everyone laughed. Allison Hope Scott, the youngest of Nathan and Haley, as well as the youngest Scott among her cousins. She looks so much like her father. Her bright blue eyes are her father's weakness. Her hair is much like her father's as well. The family doesn't mention it much, but she looks a lot like Dan. Just like her brother Jamie, she loves sports. Basketball rules Nathan's house as everyone is always playing in the backyard. Allison often called Allie is a very sweet child. She enjoys riding her bike and telling her siblings that she's he boss. "It was so much fun." She said. "We got to go on a tour, we had playtime, we read, we went to the playground three times. Mommy and daddy cried a whole bunch too." She said as Nathan shook his head. She continued her kindergarten talk and finally finished telling them about all her favorite things.

"I'm glad you liked school!" Lucas said as he looked over at the three middle schoolers sitting and talking together. "How was middle school?" He asked.

"Alright." Keith said. "Lydia switched lockers with me since I was below Davis."

"I couldn't even see the combination." Lydia laughed. "Davis and I have every class together too!" She added. Lydia Bob Scott. At a young age it was clear that Lydia was going to be head strong just like her Aunt Taylor. Lydia favors her mother's side of the family, and looks most like her grandmother who she is named after.

"Yeah we do, even homeroom with Uncle Jake." Davis said. " I think my favorite class is going to be English." He said.

"Mine is lunch." Keith said with a laugh.

"Mine is definitely going to be History. We are learning about world history this year. I think its going to be really fun. I think middle school is going to be so much fun!" Lydia said with a smile.

"Sounds like its going to be a fun year!" Haley said as she looked at the teenagers. She was starting to bring desserts over with the help of Victoria and Brooke. "Let's hear about high school." She said as the teenagers all looked at each other.

"It was fun mom." Jamie said. "I made the basketball team, classes are great. Not a whole lot to say yet. I have Mrs. Collins and I think she already hates me." He said as Kieran and Charlie laughed.

"Probably she hates anything that breathes." Kieran laughed. As both his parents shook their heads.

"Tina is a nice lady." Lucas said as Kieran and Charlie nodded and then looked at Jamie and shook their heads. "Stop." He said.

"School was good for me too!" Lily said. "Spence and I have every class together . I don't really have a favorite class yet. Plus I made the cheer team!" She said as a Haley and a Brooke started screaming. They quickly got up and grabbed Lily. Immediately they started showing her an old Raven cheer that even Karen did as a cheerleader. He rest of the family smiled as they then returned to their chairs.

"Well there was no question about that." Victoria said. "I remember when Brooke came home waving her Pom poms after making the team her freshman year. That's all she ever talked about." She said as Brooke laughed a bit.

"Charlie how was school for you?" Lucas asked.

"It was cool." Charlie shrugged. "It was great until I heard my parents weren't coming home, again." He said as Brooke sighed. She knew what that was like. "But my favorite class is probably going to be health."

"See that's what I want to hear." Lucas said with a smile. Charlie then smiled as looked at Kieran. Kieran shook his head knowing his friend was about today.

"But I have to say the best part of the day was when Kieran landed that right hook on Bryce's chin and it knocked him over. 10 out of 10 your best fight Key." Charlie laughed as Kieran smiled just a bit. The adults all laughed a bit too until Kieran joined into the conversation.

"He deserved it." Kieran stated.

"Well I'd like to hear about the rest of your day that doesn't involve the fight." Brooke stated as Kieran nodded.

"Sorry mom." Kieran said. "Well the rest of the day was great. Tomorrow we will be deciding the chairs for the debate team, and history was fun." He said and then shrugged. He started to pick up his dessert as the rest of the family continue their conversations. He was honestly not in the best headspace as just learning this information wasn't just a rumor. Lucas has been watching his son closely all night tell something was wrong with Kieran so he decided to bring out the fun part about family dinner.

"This year I wanted to give everyone a book on their first day of school, so I have these for everyone!" Lucas said as he walked over to the books on a table next to him. He started to pass out different books to all the kids at the table, he even had one for Charlie. Jamie, Kieran and Lily were all rolling their eyes as they have been getting books for any and every occasion Lucas can think of. Lucas gave Lily a copy of Julius Caesar. Haley smiled as Lily grabbed it from Lucas.

Lucas Scott made his way towards his mother's café like he did every day, and every morning he would have breakfast with her. Typically his best friend Haley would joined them. She came from a big family and just loved the specialness of the blond between Karen and Lucas. Little did they know all three of theirs lives would change and everything they knew and understood and loved would be different. He opened the front door and the little bell rang. Haley and Karen were sitting at the table next to the big bay window. The sun glowed on his mother's face and he smiled.

"Sorry I'm late." He said. "Didn't plan on running so much this morning."

"Better late than never." Haley laughed. "I was starting to think something happened." She said as he nodded thinking about almost being hit by Nathan Scott's car the other day. He sat down across from his mom and started to pick at the muffin that was in front of him.

"So, I got something for you, Lucas.." Karen said as she started to pull out a wrapped gift with a bow on it. Haley then started to talk causing Karen not to hand it to Lucas and leading to both of them smiling and laughing.

"Actually, I found it. Not that I was looking specifically which implies some hideous sort of "Joey loves Dawson" scenario and completely creep me out, but, you know, we saw, it and…" Haley said and then noticed Karen hadn't give it him yet."Well, give him the book!" She laughed. Lucas opened the book and was pleased to see this book.

"Wow!" He said excitedly. He started to look over the older copy of this book. "Julius Caesar."

"There's a tide in the affairs of men," She said profoundly, and then laughed. "Or something like that."

"Nice. Thank you guys. Than you very much." He said as he smiled at both of them.

"Whatever." Haley shrugged. "That's what you're into." She said with a smile.

"What is this?" She asked as she held out her hands confused. She has recently started reading a new to her author she found one day in the library. She was expecting the next book in the series.

"There's a tide in the affair of men," Lucas said. "Or something like that." He smiled as he thought about his mom.

"Okay.." Lily said. She really didn't understand why they were acting this way. She then almost immediately went back to her phone. "Thanks." She said as she rolled her eyes. During this time most of the kids were standing up and talking to each other or the other adults. Victoria was talking to her grandson and his friend as she was looking for teen models to model in a show soon. Ted was talking to Nathan again away from the rest of the family. Haley walked over to Lucas and Lily.

"You know I found that book years ago when we were in high school when I was out with Karen. We just had to get it for Luke." Haley added was Lily nodded.

"Thanks." Lily said as she shrugged a bit. She slightly smiled as she flipped through the book. Lucas sighed. He thought the book would have meant more to her. He got up and walked over to his brother and father-in-law he caught the tail end of their conversation as Nathan ended it when he saw Lucas walk up. Lucas could sense they were talking about something.

"How do you think the team will look this year." Ted asked. After Ted came back into Brooke's life it wasn't long until he was reminded what he had lost in his quest to be rich. He rekindled his love for his wife and they finally moved back to Tree Hill to be the parents they should have been and the grandparents they want to be.

"I think it will be a good season. I have four seniors on my team and each of them are looking to play in college. It should be interesting with Jamie on the team this year. He should make a big difference defensively. Love him to death but Kieran is one of my worst defensive players. I wish he would get in there like Jamie does, but hopefully that will change." Lucas said as Kieran walked up.

"Can I go home." Kieran asked.

"Sure, see if your siblings want to go home." Lucas said.

"I'm taking the twins. Mom said something about something that she's doing with Lily. I don't really know, she just to ask you if I could leave." Kieran said. "Thanks see you at home. Bye uncle Nate and Geeps." He said and then ran off with the twins and Charlie. Lucas nodded as he watched his sons leave. He continued talking to his father-in-law and brother as he watched the sunset over the town. He saw his son's Jeep drive down Main Street and smiled.

Nathan looked up from his computer and realized it was getting pretty late. He looked at the time at it read 9:45. He saved his progress and stood up. He turned off the desk lamp and started to check the house. He walked through the kitchen to the back door. He checked the lock and then turned the outdoor light off. He then walked through the living room and past the stairs to the garage. He opened the door to see if the garage was shut and then locked the door. He walked back the front door and locked that. He then walked to his bedroom that was on the other side of the main level. Haley was sitting upright on their bed reading as he walked in. She looked up from her book with a soft sweet smile.

"Did you get a lot done?" Haley asked.

"Yeah I did." Nathan said as he walked into the bathroom to change. "I was going to give Jamie that box from Dan. Is that still okay?" He asked.

"Yeah I think Jamie will really like having that from his Grandpa Dan." She said looking up from her book. He was holding the box in his hand. "When you go upstairs can you check on the girls." She said.

"Of course." He said and then kissed her cheek. He walked out of his room and towards the stairs. He walked up the stairs and into the hallway where the girls rooms are. He set the box down and walked into Allison's room. She was asleep with her nightlight on. He tucked her in and kissed her goodnight. He quietly walked out of the room and shut her door. Across the hall was Lydia's room. He walked into her room and found her asleep with a book in her hand. He smiled as he walked into the room. He grabbed the book from her hand, marked her place, and set it down. He turned the light off on the nightstand. He tucked her in and kissed her cheek. He then walked to the door and left. He shut the door and then picked up the box. He walked down the hall to the other side of the upstairs. When Allison was born they had moved Jamie to the upstairs guest room so he was away from his sisters when staying up late. Nathan knocked on his son's door and hard him say come in. He opened the door and saw Jamie sitting on the edge of his bed playing a video game. He had a headset on and playing intensely. Nathan waited for his son to finished. The game ended and Jamie looked over at his dad.

"Hey my dad just came into my room." Jamie said as he then took the headset off. "What's that?" He asked as he stood up.

"It's from grandpa Dan. He left it for you, and it's time you had it." Nathan said as Jamie walked over to his desk.

"Oh cool!" Jamie said as he started looking through the box. He saw a letter and grabbed it out of the box. Nathan smiled as he walked to the door.

"Not to late Jamie." Nathan said as Jamie nodded. "Love you."

"Love you too." Jamie said as he watched his dad close the door. He then sat down on his bed and opened the letter. He started to read the letter in his head. 'Dear James Lucas Scott, today was your first day of high school, and I couldn't be more proud of you. I'm sure you made the team. I'm sorry I can't be with you anymore and I'm sorry that I took so much away from you and the rest of the family. I'm writing you this letter with instructions to do. I know I couldn't tell anyone else to do this. In the jacket that is in the box is a letter I have written to Lily. I want you to give it to her. Please. There are some things I have written her that she needs to hear and known. I'm asking you because I know that you will give it to her. If she doesn't read it, I understand, but please make her read it. Love your grandpa Dan.' Jamie finished the letter and sighed. He sat there and then looked over at his phone. He reached for his phone and went to his favorites list. He looked at Spencer's name and then at Lily's. He clicked on Lily's name and waited for her to pick up. He was pacing his room as he listened to the dial tone, and then finally a hi. "Hey Lils what are you doing?" He asked.

"I just got back home. My mom took me to the mall to buy some new clothes." She said as she walked into her room and closed the door.

"Oh cool cool." He said as he was still pacing. "Umm…do you think you can sneak out?" He asked as she set her bags down on her bed. She then sat down on the bed.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah I'm fine." He said and then sat down in his desk chair.

"Then why do I need to sneak out?" She asked as she got up from her bed. She was still wearing her school clothes. She changed into a pair of leggings and a rainbow tie dye crop top with a yellow smiley face. She then grabbed a black jacket and put it on. She was still on the phone with Jamie waiting for him to respond. "Jame, why?" She asked.

"I have something for you." He said as he finally found the letter.

"And it can't wait until the morning?" She asked.

"Lily I'm going to be at our spot in 20 minutes. It's important." He said and then hung up. Lily looked out her window and then rocked her head from side to side, rolled her eyes and then walked to her door. She opened it and then walked out. She walked to Kieran's room and opened his door.

"Woah what the hell Lily. Knock." Kieran said as he and Charlie were playing a video game. She closed the door and stood there waiting for him to finish. Kieran looked at her and then set his controller down. "What do you want?" He asked.

"Jamie called me and wants me to meet him somewhere in 20 minutes, will you cover for me?" She asked as he smirked.

"Gonna cost you." He said as she rolled her eyes.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"You have to do my chores for the next two weeks." He said as she sighed.

"Kieran I'm literally going to be gone for less than an hour. Can't you just do me this one favor?" She begged.

"Well why are you sneaking out? What's so important?" He asked.

"I don't know." She said back. "All Jamie said was 'Lily meet me at our spot. It's important' and then he hung up." She shrugged and then Kieran got a text from Jamie.

"Fine this one time I'll be nice." He said as he read the text to himself. "I'll just tell dad you are in the shower. Just turn it on." He said as she thanked him. She walked out of his room and then back to hers. Charlie looked over at Kieran.

"Dude you could have made her clean the house after the party." Charlie said as Kieran was rereading the text from Jamie.

"Jamie said he really didn't give her a choice, and that he will mow the lawn for me for the next three months, sooooo…" Kieran said with a laugh. Lily turned on her shower in her bathroom and shut the door. She then walked over to her balcony door. She had done this several times just like Brooke had done when she was younger. She climbed down the side paneling and jumped off of it. She looked around to see if she had made much noise. Kieran and Charlie were watching her from his room as Lucas walked up the stairs. Lily then walked around to the front yard. Kieran had unlocked his Jeep that was parked in the front. He had a longboard in there that Lily would typically take from time to time. She opened his door and grabbed his longboard. She started boarding towards the River Court. Kieran then turned around as his dad walked into his room.

"Not much longer guys, okay." Lucas said as he stood in the door frame.

"Yes sir." They both said.

"Do you know if your sister is awake?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, she said she was going to take a shower since Keith takes all the hot water in the morning." Kieran said almost effortlessly. Lucas nodded and then said goodnight to the boys. Lily boarded down the dark street towards the River Court, when she got there she saw Jamie shooting hoops. She stopped the board, picked it up and then walked over to him.

"You better have a damn good reason why you asked me to sneak out." Lily said as Jamie shot the ball at the basket.

"I do." Jamie said as the ball went in. He let the ball bounce off the court as he walked over to the picnic table under the light. He was wearing black joggers and a Tree Hill Raven basketball shirt that has his dad's old number on the back. Lily joined him and sat down on the top of the table. "My dad gave me a box from Dan today and it had this in it for you." He said as he pulled the letter out of his pocket. He handed it to her and she looked at it.

"What does it say?" She asked as she looked to see if it was open.

"I don't know. He didn't tell me." He said as he waited to see if she would open it. "He said it was super important." He finished as she nodded. "Are you going to open it?" He asked.

"I don't know." She said as she played with it in her hands.

"You were saying how you wish you could ask Dan sol many questions." He said. "Maybe this will answer some questions you have." He said as she thought about some of the questions. Jamie watched his cousin and then walked over to his ball sitting on the court. He shot around and every few minutes he looked over at Lily. She was playing with the seal on the envelope. She finally opened it and began to read it.

Lily Roe Scott,

I cant imagine the young woman you are today. I wonder if you have your dad's witty sense of humor, or your mother's beautiful smile. The day I'm writing this you are three years old. I have never met and I never will. You are so young and I have caused you so much pain, for that I am sorry. I took away your parents, my brother and my first love. I could tell you why I did it but there will never be a good enough reason, excuse or situation that will ever make what I did right. There were so many things that went into that decision. Again I am sorry for what I have taken from you and what I am not able to give you. I should be an uncle to you but I am standing on the corner watching you grow. I'm sure as a high schooler you have so many questions about your parents. While I can't answer them all, I know someone who can. Your mother wrote you letters while she was pregnant with you. It first started as a love note to Keith after she found out she was pregnant with you. Your mother went down to Keith's Motor Shop and sat in the office every day and wrote a letter. She left them there in an old parts box under the desk. She never told anyone about these, because she never told anyone she was sick. You might ask yourself how do I know. She told the night before you were born. The night that she passed out after Lucas shot a gun in the house. She never got a chance to tell Lucas, or any of her other loved ones. I hope the letters are still there or hopefully someone in the family now has them. I wish you all the best Lily. I hope you have a great and wonderful life. Please never lose your sense of wonder. I know as Keith and Karen's child you have an imagination as big as the sky, a heart as kind as it is big, and a personality as big as this town.

Love your Uncle Dan.

Lily finished reading the letter and then set it down on the picnic table. She looked over at Jamie and he was still shooting around. She sat there and thought about what she read and then she looked down at her shoes. She was deep in through the when Jamie looked over at her. She had been quiet for a while as he walked towards the table. He stood in front of her and his shadow covered her. She looked up and he smiled.

"Lil, I don't care what the note said. That is between you and Dan." He said reassuring. He kicked her shoe and she looked up at him. "You are my best friend. You can approach what you just learned in any way you see fit, and I have your back one thousand percent." He smiled not knowing if what he just offered would even make her satisfied. She finally smiled up at him.

"Thanks." She said with a smile. He smiled back at her and then tossed her the ball.

"One on one?" He asked as she bounced the ball back to him.

"You're on Scott." She joked.

"I'm so scared." He joked back. The two played the game long into the night. Soon it was nearing midnight and the two said their goodbyes. Lily boarded her way home. She reached the middle of her street and it was quiet. She stopped the board at her house and then walked to the back. She climbed up the same path she took out. Kieran had waited up for Lily to ensure she made it back home. As Lily climbed inside her window she was met with a lamp turned on.

"Dad came by twice." Kieran said as Lily nodded.

"Sorry." She said quickly. She was thinking about the letter she read.

"It fine Lil." He laughed and then quickly noticed her lost in thought. "All good?" He asked as he made his way to the door.

"Yeah sure." She said lost in her thought. He nodded and shut her door. She laid down in her bed. She thought about her parents, her life, and the years to come. She finally fell asleep.

Hey, I am happy to announce that I am back and have been working one several ideas for this fan fiction. Note that I have changed the titled. I will be posting the next chapter before the New year. -m
