Naruto Uzumaki had seen many things in life, in-fact, he had thought he had seen it all. From a giant mass of Chakra sealed inside his gut, to fighting a literal goddess sealed inside the bloody moon, he had thought he had seen it all.

"And then Sasuke just had to be a sore loser." Naruto thought as he sat down and sighed before grabbing the remote of the TV. There were many things that didn't surprise him, but after being sent to a whole new world, he was sure that nothing would surprise him now.

"And then that asshole had the audacity to be still alive!" Kurama exclaimed with a snarl. Naruto nodded to himself as he flipped through the channels. Sasuke meant to take the both of them out in his all-out attack, because in his mind if he couldn't lead his new revolution, then Naruto wouldn't get his chance to become Hokage. However, Sasuke lacked the proper control over his newfound powers and in the heat of battle against the only other person who could go toe-to-toe with him, Sasuke could give a damn about how much power he used.

"At least you finally killed that Uchiha bastard." Kurama stated as Naruto frowned. Killing Sasuke wasn't easy. Not only was he still powerful enough to put up a fighter after he had inadvertently sent them both to this new world, but he was also a friend and a brother as well.

"I hope you find peace in the afterlife…" Naruto muttered to himself as he closed his eyes. He was forced to, no, he had to kill his best friend least he hurt others in his quest to take on the worlds hate. Kurama didn't respond. Despite knowing the blond for as long as he had, he knew that the bond his host and Sasuke had was that of brothers, even if they were not related by blood, their bond transcended even death, starting with the old man's sons.

"Enough of this sulking! Brooding is not your style." Kurama claimed, causing Naruto to chuckle, nodding to himself. Brooding was always Sasuke's thing.

"Right, now let's see what's on the news." Naruto said to himself as he flipped on towards the news channel. He had chosen to take the day off fighting crime and wanted to just relax. He may not trust those Supes, but he could at least hope that they wouldn't cause any trouble.

"A-Train claims that the women, Robin Ward, stepped into the middle of the street while he was dealing with a bank robbery." Naruto immediately regretted thinking that he could count on the Supe's to not cause trouble or at least keep trouble at bay. He frowned as the news anchor went on and on about the same story.

"Bunch of bull." Naruto sighed out as he turned the TV off and stood up from his couch and headed out.

"You're going head out now?" Kurama questioned as Naruto thought it over.

"No, I'm going to go talk a walk." Naruto responded as he left his small apartment. When he had first discovered that he had been sent to a different world, his first course of action was to acquire information, the second to forge a fake identity and the third was to keep a low profile. He managed to keep a low profile by not standing out much. When he wasn't Fox, he was Naruto Uzumaki, a simple man working part time gigs in New York living in a small decent apartment.

However, when he was Fox, he was a vigilante, the masked hero who took matters in his own hands when it came to dealing with crime in the city. Naruto chuckled at that. Here he was, a powerful assassin turned warrior, taking down criminals and such.

"Stuff like this was B to C rank back home." Naruto thought as he remembered the Wave mission. Walking down the busy night street of New York, he walked into a dark alley before he simply vanished. A-top the roof tops Naruto looked through his mask as he stared down at the city streets below. Life in this world was simple, yet also violent. People here didn't have Chakra, not a hint of it despite there being people with 'superpowers' as they called it. But he also realized that even without Chakra people would find ways to inflict pain upon each other, this world held that even truer with wars that would make even the most violent Shinobi wars look like a skirmish in terms of casualties

. "Good thing they don't have Chakra or else they would wipe each other by now already." Naruto muttered to himself as he jumped from roof tops to roof tops. New York had many criminals but ever since his arrival criminals started to keep a low profile. See, unlike the Seven, who primarily fought crime to obtain as much publicity as possible, the Fox fought crime whenever, whatever time. And that was more terrifying for criminals. The Seven fight crime in the day, where their heroics could be visible for all to see, the Fox fought crime no matter the time of day. Whereas before they could have simply moved their operations to the nights, now they had nowhere to run.

"There." Naruto muttered as he came to a halt by the docks and saw a crime in progress; a gang of drug dealers unloading shipments of drugs. These were the crimes that went mostly unchecked and unnoticed by the Seven. Only when they wanted to increase their 'points' did they ever go out into the night to bust these types of crimes. Naruto sighed as he went to work.

At the docks:

"Hurry it up dammit!" One of the gang members shouted, clearly on edge. His compatriot looked at him with a shake of his head.

"What's got you all jumpy? Those damn supes won't be anywhere near here today. They got that damn shareholder meeting coming up tomorrow night." His thief-in-arms responded, but it did little to calm him down.

"It's not those damn underwear wearing clowns that I'm worried about, it's that mask wearing Fox! He's not like those damn Supes!" The gang member barked back as everyone frowned at that. No way Fox would just show to the docks at this hour.

"Don't worry, if that bastard shows up, we'll give him lead!" Another criminal with a thick Boston accent stated as he lifted his rifle. Supe or not, a gun was still as deadly as any other weapon.

"Please, like I can't see a bullet." A voice said behind the said criminal, who blinked before he turned around to come face-to-face with the vigilante they were discussing about. Naruto smirked underneath his mask as he delivered a swift punch to the man's face, knowing him out.

"It's Fox! Open fire!" The criminals all turned their weapons and began opening fire. To the average eye a bullet was too fast, but to Naruto who had fought opponents who had quite possibly the fastest reflexes he had ever seen, they were nothing but slow-moving objects that he easily weaved through. To them it seemed like he was simply vanishing and appearing but to him he was simply side stepping the incoming bullets.

"W-What is he!?" One of the criminals shouted as he finished unloading his last magazine on the masked man. Naruto stopped as all he heard was clicks as the gang members slowly started to back away.

"My turn." Naruto said as in his hands were several kunai's, which he threw in several directions. Unlike the bullets, the kunai's didn't miss and hit with such a force that it pinned the criminals to the walls or the ground. Naruto nodded to himself with a job well done before he narrowed his eyes.

"I know your there." Naruto called out as he turned around as a blond women stepped outside of the shadows. Naruto analyzed her and could easily determine that she was not a threat. Going over his memory, he tried to remember the name of the Supe before him.

"You're Fox, right?" The blond Supe questioned as Naruto said nothing. He appeared relaxed and his guard appeared down, but he was very much ready for anything.

"And you are…" Naruto trailed off, not exactly good with names of Supes. The blond Supe felt almost offended at him not knowing her name.

"I'm Starlight, Defender of Des Moines?" Starlight questioned him as Naruto drew a blank.

"Sorry but doesn't ring a bell." Naruto replied as Starlight just looked shocked his response. She had been following up on the exploits of Fox and to her he was a true hero. To realize that someone she respected and looked up too had no idea who she was…shocking.

"Well, I'm Starlight." Starlight introduced herself as Naruto mulled over the name, getting familiar with it.

"Starlight…" Naruto pronounced her name, getting familiar with it as he nodded to himself while relaxing his guard. She didn't seem threatening and didn't have the negative energy around her that some of the other Seven's had.

"Well, I'm Fox, as you already know." Naruto introduced himself, not giving away his real name, just as he was sure that Starlight didn't give her real name. Starlight gave him a look over now that she could actually get a good look at him. She assumed that he was easily over six feet and had a lean built. She was unable to see any of his facial features other than his blond hair, which seemed to spike it almost every direction. Though she wondered how he could see through that mask. It had no eyeholes or any other means from what she could tell to see.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Naruto questioned as he felt like he was being inspected. Starlight shook her head before she smiled.

"I just have to say, I'm a big fan of yours." Starlight stated. She had known about Fox back in Iowa, but during her stay in New York she finally saw him in action. He was unlike any of the other Supes. Never using more forces that needed and always putting safety of the others before anything else. What's more, he wasn't out to seek attention.

"Well…ugh…thank you…I guess." Naruto responded, not sure how to feel about that. While he knew that there were many people that liked him for the work he did, he never had someone tell him that they were his fan, never mind a Supe tell him that.

"Why exactly are you here? This isn't exactly Vought's MO to send out a hero without any of the media." Naruto questioned her. Starlight looked at him, confused. She wasn't aware of how Vought completely operated.

"I don't understand…" She responded as Naruto chuckled lightly. Seems like she didn't know much about Vought or how they operated.

"Never mind that, you'll know soon enough." Naruto answered as he picked up the faint sounds of police sirens. Starlight also picked up the sounds and knew that Fox was going to leave soon.

"Wait, why don't you join Vought? You can do so much more with their resources." Starlight questioned him. She knew that Fox wasn't part of Vought, but she didn't know why that was the cause.

"Why would I join an organization that I don't believe in?" Naruto answered her question with a question of his own.

"But…Vought helps millions. Their heroes have access to resources that can help stop so many crimes." Starlight countered as Naruto chuckled.

"But at what cost? You're still naïve, but everything comes at a cost and power is no such exception. I have no intentions of becoming another 'tool' or an 'asset' of an organization that would only see me as another product." Naruto responded. Being a shinobi meant that you were a soldier of your village. For most shinobi's it was a thankless life. Many shinobi died unknown to the mass, their memory only remembered by their village and those that knew them. Only a few gained such glory as his father did, something that many didn't wish they had given the nature of their jobs. They were assassins first.

"But Vought helps people." She responded to which Naruto shock his head.

"Only for the sake of profits. They only help when there are profits involved. That is why Vought despises me. They can't make profits off of me. You will learn that soon enough." Naruto countered before white smoke engulfed him as Starlight was going to ask him for more questions and when the smoke vanished, he was gone. She sighed before she looked at the criminals before turning around and leaving. She knew that the cops would be here any second, so she took her leave as well. But Fox's word still hung fresh in her mind.
