Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or any of its characters they are property of Hiro Masima.
Amanny: Unfortunately Ur will not be playing a role in the story for some time to come, but you will see why I said that.
-With Zalty and Lyon in the throne room of the temple-
"It's a shame you only found them after the battle," Lyon said disappointed in his followers.
"It seems like the Fairy Tail mages are a lot more trouble than you originally anticipated 'Cold Emperor'," Zalty said with a cackle much to Lyon's annoyance.
"They might have delayed Deliora's revival,' Lyon said.
"Another problem is the arrival of 'Titania'. She is a very powerful mage," Zalty informed Lyon.
"The Fairy Tail mages may be powerful but they are no match for me," Lyon said with the utmost confidence in his own abilities.
"I am pleased to hear you say that," Zalty said but on the inside, he nearly scoffed at the arrogance of Lyon.
"I will ensure that no one reached the chamber of Deliora. I'm sure they will attempt it before we manage to free the demon," Zalty said. The temple suddenly began to shake and a look of concern found its way onto Zalty's face while a look of annoyance invaded Lyon's expression.
'If this continues on Natsu might not be able to stay safe in the cavern, I must do something,' Ultear thought to herself while keeping her balance as the temple shook.
A stream of fire burst through the floor surprising Zalty and Lyon.
"It appears we have a visitor," Zalty said with an amused grin. 'Those Fairies always live up to their destructive reputation' he thought.
"It's funny how hard it is to destroy things intentionally," Laughter could be heard coming from within the new hole in the floor. Lyon peered down and was shocked to see the red locks of Haru.
"You dare stand in my way. I will not allow anyone to come in the way of my dream." Lyon declared as Haru launched himself towards Lyon with a shout of "Fire Dragon Sword Horn". A flame covered Haru head-butted Lyon in the gut sending him flying. As Lyon hit the wall he shattered into multiple ice pieces revealing he was only a decoy.
"Ice-Make: Eagle" Lyon called out sending a wave of ice eagles at Haru. Haru quickly countered with a "Fire Dragon's Roar" while doing a handstand. Zalty seized this opportunity and used his "Flash Forward" spell to fast forward the time of the floor on which Haru was, causing it to crumble to dust and sent Haru falling through the floor.
"I will deal with him, 'Cold Emperor', you remain here and conserve your energy," Zalty said attempting to buy time for Natsu.
"You dare insinuate that I will fall to his weak magic?" Lyon asked in anger, freezing the entire throne room.
"Not at all, I merely believe that you should not waste your energy on the trash. That is what servants are for after all," Zalty said with a little bow.
"Fine, deal with that fire freak but don't take too long, we will continue the ritual tonight," Lyon said as he took his seat once again.
Zalty jumped down the hole in pursuit of Haru. He used his magic to revert the time of the support pillars Haru destroyed to fix them. Zalty quickly realised that Haru had fallen down a set of stairs that would lead him in the direction of the cavern that contained Deliora. Quickly undoing her transformation Ultear ran as fast as she could down the hall. She had to stop him before he could interfere with her mother's revival.
-With Haru as soon as he fell through the floor-
"Ouch, what the hell just happened?" Haru asked out loud rubbing the back of his head. He stood up and was beginning to think about how to get back up to Lyon so that he can teach him a lesson when a familiar scent invaded his nose.
'Dragon, why didn't I smell it before? I know we were down here yesterday," Haru thought. He took a good whiff of the air to make sure he didn't imagine it but sure as anything there it was, the unmistakable smell of a dragon.
'Something is off… Even though I smell a dragon I can also smell death and lots of it. Hold on don't tell me they are sacrificing people," Haru thought as his eyes widened.
"You are sacrificing people, I'll beat you into another world," Haru declared loudly as he sped down the corridor leading to the chamber Deliora was in. Haru ran down the corridor for a while before he heard footsteps behind him. He shifted into a crevasse in the tunnel walls as saw a beautiful woman running past him.
'Why does she smell like that dude with the mask?' Haru thought to himself and started to follow her. He soon realised where she was heading and anger began to brew in his mind. 'She is part of the sacrificing,' Haru decided and increased his speed.
Haru was about to come within attacking range when a powerful aura hit him, making him drop to his knees and he nearly threw up due to the overpowering smell and feeling of death. 'What is this power,' Haru thought and for the first time, he felt true fear. He was paralyzed by this fear and sunk to his knees, unable to move.
-With Ultear as she entered the cavern-
Ultear ran up to Natsu and was relieved to see that Haru was nowhere to be seen and Natsu was still in the same position he was in when she last left him. She slowly and quietly moved up to him as to not disturb him.
"I am almost done, soon she will be back," Natsu said in a soft voice when he sensed Ultear was near. Ultear felt her legs give way and she sunk down to the ground, happy she will soon be reunited with her mother.
"Get some rest, I will need your help when this is all done," Natsu continued gaining Ultear's attention.
"What do you mean?" Ultear asked wondering what she would have to do.
"Deliora will be revived and he will start causing trouble. I will need you to aid me after I recover enough magic to eliminate him," Natsu said while still keeping his eyes closed and not moving from his meditative position.
"Can't you use the same spell you used to kill Lullaby," Ultear asked. She, along with the rest of the Magic Council had seen the reports of the incident before they questioned Erza and it was stated that Natsu had taken down Lullaby with a single spell.
"Unfortunately, using a spell from that particular brand of magic consumes peculiar converted source of magic. And to revive your mother I am exhausting that specific source from my magic container. I can replenish my magic after this but for the natural Ethernano to be converted into a useable source for that brand of magic takes time, time we don't have," Natsu explained.
"I'll do everything in my power to help you but won't you need someone to distract Deliora while you recover your magic?" Ultear asked.
"I can sense the Fairy Tail mages nearby. They will be drawn here once the demon wakes up. Let them keep him busy, and while I recover my magic you can move your mother to a safe location since she will probably still be unconscious once she is revived," Natsu said. Ultear didn't question how Natsu knew of the Fairy Tail mages and was just too happy to hear her mother will be back soon.
After about twenty minutes Natsu suddenly stood up and walked to the Ice and placed his open palms in it.
"Origato nomeno sepa qe kitril huena tenamalo persvek wer mamiss astahii huena vucata ini wer meage di marfedelom coinah," Natsu said in a growling voice. Ultear was surprised by this language she had never heard before and wondered what Natsu said.
"Let this soul be born once again in the body they once knew by the command of death itself. It was ancient draconic," Natsu said once again making Ultear believe he can read minds. Ultear wanted to ask a question but was interrupted by a loud cracking sound coming from the ice.
The ice began to glow and the all of a sudden shattered. The ice shards, however, didn't fall to the ground instead, they floated in the air for a moment before converging to Natsu's arms which he had out in front of him as if he held someone in a bridal style.
"Here, she will need this," Natsu said as a large blanked materialised in Ultear's hands. Ultear moved next to Natsu and stood with the blanket ready.
"I didn't know you knew re-quip magic as well," Ultear said as she watched the ice forming something in Natsu's arms. She was happy that she could start a conversation since Natsu didn't need to concentrate on his spell anymore.
"It helps when you are constantly on the move," Natsu answered. All the ice finally formed a humanoid shape in Natsu's arms before they started to glow a bright purple. Once the light died down a woman of average height with a slim, curvaceous figure was in Natsu's arms. She has chin-length dark purple hair, a beautiful face and fair skin. Ultear quickly covered her mother with the blanket Natsu provided.
Natsu moved Ur to a safe location behind some boulders closely followed by Ultear. Ultear took a moment to look down at the sleeping face of her mother before tears began to form in her eyes. She closed her eyes and buried her face in her hands as she cried. She was surprised when she felt two strong arms around her, pulling her into a hug.
"Thank you, thank you so much," Ultear cried as she grabbed onto Natsu shirt and buried her face in his chest. She cried her heart out while Natsu gently stroke her hair and allowing her to cry to her heart's content.
"How can I ever repay you?" Ultear asked as she looked up into Natsu's eyes with her tearstained ones.
"I did this for you because you are special to me Ultear. I promise I will explain later since we don't have enough time right now," Natsu said with a gentle smile that melted Ultear's heart.
'He said I'm special,' Ultear repeated his words in her mind and a deep blush formed on her face. She quickly buried her face in his chest once again to hide the blush but she couldn't keep a smile from worming its way onto her face.
The quite moment they had was interrupted by an earth-shaking roar that was heard all over the island.
"Deliora will soon be able to move," Natsu said as he kept Ultear close in his embrace.
"Will the Fairy Tail mages be here before he is able to move?" Ultear asked, happy to be so close to Natsu.
"They are nearly here," Natsu replied.
-With Erza, Happy and Lucy in the tunnels-
"How far before we reach Deliora's cave?" Erza asked since she hasn't been there yet.
"It should be around here somewhere," Lucy replied as they sped down the tunnel.
"Haru," Happy called out as he disappeared around a bend. Lucy and Erza increased their speed when they heard their guild mate's name. As they rounded the bend they saw Haru kneeling on the floor moments before Happy barrelled into him.
"Huh, Happy what are you doing here?" Haru asked as he was snapped out of his paralysing fear.
"Haru, you came on this quest as well?" Erza asked with a dark aura around her.
"E-Erza, w-what a pleasant surprise to see you," Haru stuttered in fear.
"Explain," the simple command came from Erza as she slowly made her way over which made her seem even more threatening.
"Please don't hurt me, it was Gray's fault. He convinced me to join him on the S-Class mission when we met at Hargeon," Haru explained as quickly as he could hoping to quell 'Titania's' rage.
"Master will deal with your punishment later. What are you doing down here and why were you on the ground?" Erza asked with a sigh. She already went through an argument with Gray about them being here and she was somehow convinced to aid them with Deliora and Lyon.
"I smelled a dragon down here but when I came here I felt an overwhelming aura of death. Something is up and whatever it is it's coming from the cave with Deliora," Haru explained.
Erza was about to ask another question when they heard a roar that made the ground shake. Fear invaded their eyes.
"Deliora is revived?" Lucy shrieked in utter fear.
"We must stop it from spreading destruction," Erza declared and charged down the tunnel with sword in hand. Haru was quick to follow with Happy and Lucy not too far behind.
They entered the cavern and came face to face with the massive dark blue, humanoid demon named Deliora. It had two large arms that ended in scaly hands, two large legs with bird-like feet and mane-like hair that flows down the nape of its neck. Two large horns pointing upwards jutted out of a plate on its forehead and it had large pointed teeth and two hollow eyes.
-With Lyon and Gray in the throne room-
Gray had arrived to challenge Lyon in an attempt to stop him from reviving Deliora and killing Ur in the process. He was shocked and disgusted when he was informed by Lyon that he knew Ur used her own body in the 'Iced Shell' spell. Gray and Lyon continued to battle it out first only using their fists then it evolved into a full-on magic duel.
Lyon had the upper hand during the battle since he mentally attacked Gray by accusing him of killing Ur.
"This has to stop," Gray yelled out once there was a standstill between him and Lyon.
"I will defeat Deliora and I will surpass Ur," Lyon declared for the hundredth time during the battle.
"You are just killing her," Gray once again attempted to persuade him to change his mind.
"You are the one who killed her Gray, don't you dare say her name again. You stole my dream from me and you will not do it again," Lyon yelled back.
"Then you leave me no choice," Gray sighed when he finally realised Lyon would not be swayed from the path he chose.
"You have been losing this fight from the moment we started, what are you going to do differently?" Lyon taunted, confident that he will come out victoriously.
Instead of answering Gray widened his stance and extended his arms straight in front of him, crossing his arms while keeping them straight with his palms facing downwards. A freezing aura blasted out from him as he prepared to use the technique.
"Wait what are you doing?" Lyon asked getting a look of fear for a second before it changed to a blank stare.
"You won't throw your life away, you don't have the guts," Lyon taunted with a confident grin.
"You said it yourself, I killed Ur. My life isn't worth living knowing that I killed our teacher," Gray said with a stoic expression.
"Stop bluffing," Lyon said in an uncertain voice.
"I'm not bluffing call this thing off or I will cast 'Iced Shell' on you," Gray threatened in a tone that let Lyon know he wasn't bluffing.
"Gray…" Lyon was cut off with a sound that made him gain a gleeful smile while Gray gained an expression of dread. A roar that they both remembered as one belonging to Deliora sounded across the temple shacking it.
"What have you done?" Gray shouted in horror. He began seeing images of the devastation the demon did to his village and the one where Ur sacrificed herself.
"My time has come to surpass Ur," Lyon shouted in glee before making his way to Deliora's chamber. Gray quickly followed Lyon, mentally preparing himself to seal the demon away.
-In the cave where Deliora is-
"It looks even bigger than it did when it was in the ice," Lucy said in fear.
"This is my chance to redeem myself. I failed in slaying Lullaby, and 'Death Walker' had to take it out. This time I will defeat the demon," Erza said, she wanted to prove herself and her strength by defeating a demon ever since she failed with Lullaby.
"Don't you dare take my prize," Lyon walked into the room with a smug grin.
"Who are you," Erza said in a dangerous tone.
"I am the one who will defeat Deliora and finally surpass Ur," Lyon shouted out as he approached the demon.
"Lyon stop, Deliora is too powerful for you to take on alone," Gray pleaded with his fellow student who he had come to see as a brother during their time under Ur's teachings.
"You will soon see my power Gray, stay out of my way," Lyon said before stepping up to Deliora.
Deliora raised its mighty fists and swung it towards Lyon. "Ice-Make: Ape' Lyon called out and the ice ape attempted to block the blow. Deliora, however, was too powerful and completely obliterated the ice ape, surprising Lyon and its fist continued straight to Lyon.
"Ice-Make: Shield" Gray and Lyon called out at the same time. Deliora broke through the first ice shield but was finally stopped by the second.
"Gray I already told you not to interfere," Lyon yelled out in rage.
"You would have died if I didn't help out," Gray countered.
"Leave me alone, you already crushed my dream once, don't do it again," Lyon said in a dangerous voice.
"Why don't you take a nap," Haru said from behind Lyon. He had sneaked up behind Lyon and delivered a heavy blow to the back of Lyon's neck. Haru caught the now unconscious Lyon before he fell to the ground and called for Happy to take Lyon to a safe place.
"Thank you," Gray sighed in relief, he didn't want to see Lyon die to Deliora.
"He wasn't in his right mind. Now how are we going to deal with big and ugly over there," Haru asked with a grin.
"Lucy summons Virgo to create holes so that if Deliora tries to move around the hazardous terrain will slow him down, Gray you provide long-range attacks and protect Lucy, Haru you and I will hit Deliora hard rotating blows between us from both sides," Erza commanded the Fairy Tail mages.
"Right," Haru, Lucy and Gray said in unison.
"Open gate of the Maiden: Virgo" Lucy called out and the pink-haired maid came spinning out of the ground with the sound of a doorbell.
"Yes Princess, is it time for punishment?" Virgo asked with an innocent look.
"What, no. Virgo, I need you to dig as many holes as you can to hinder Deliora's movements," Lucy instructed her spirit.
"Of course Princess," Virgo said and began creating multiple holes all around the cavern.
"Let's do this Haru," Erza said as she called out "Re-quip: Black Wing Armour" being covered in a bright glow and as the light died down she was in the black armour.
"I'm all fired up," Haru declared and ignited his fists with a shout of "Fire Dragon Iron Fist". Haru and Erza flew forward and struck the demon on either side. Deliora shouted in rage and tried to swipe at Erza.
"Ice-Make: Lance" Gray called out and launched multiple Ice lances at the demon's arm. The impact of the attack caused Deliora to miss Erza as it was hit by a "Fire Dragon Wing Attack" from Haru.
"Anything else Princess?" Virgo asked Lucy.
"No, thank you," Lucy dismissed her spirit and with that Virgo disappeared. "Open gate of the Golden Bull: Taurus" Lucy called out. An extremely tall, heavily muscular and athletic humanoid bull covered in a black and white pattern appeared with a doorbell sound. The humanoid bull wore a dark blue pair of swim briefs held up by a red, studded belt with a circular, golden metal buckle, simple dark boots coming up to just under his knees, a diagonal plain dark belt from his right shoulder to his middle on the left side. He wore a golden cowbell around his neck and had bandages on his forearms. HE had a massive two-headed axe on his back.
"Wow Miss Lucy, I haven't seen your rocking Booody in a long while," Taurus said as he appeared and ogled Lucy.
"Taurus not now, go attack that demon," Lucy said, a bit of disgust at the perverted spirit.
"Right away Miss Lucy," Taurus said as he dashed towards the demon only to be knocked out in one punch and vanishing back to the Celestial Spirit World.
Erza made another round with a giant black spiked mace. The blow made Deliora stagger back and it stepped into one of the holes Virgo made. This caused the demon to fall backwards causing a slight tremor as its massive body came crashing down.
"Now hit it with everything you've got," Erza yelled out.
"Re-quip: Heavens Wheel Armour" Erza called out before summoning multiple swords behind her while holding two swords in her hands. Erza then charged at the demon and called out "Blumenblat" and sliced Deliora with her two swords flying past it and letting the rest of her swords follow her and slice the large demon.
"Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame" Haru called out as he lit both his and ablaze and after he brought them together he threw the massive fireball at the demon.
"Ice-Make: Geyser" Gray called out as a massive pillar of ice formed around Deliora.
The three Fair Tail mages grouped up and looked at the explosion following their attacks with triumphant expressions on their faces.
"That was amazing," Lucy called out.
"You guys rock," Happy said with a massive smile, just returning from putting Lyon somewhere safe in time to see the final attack.
"We are awesome aren't we?" Haru said with a massive grin.
"Ur…" Gray said in a solemn voice.
"That is what happens to all who face Fairy Tail," Erza said with a proud look on her face.
A loud roar of rage interrupted the victory celebration of the Fairy Tail mages. Deliora slowly got back up.
"It's still alive?" Haru asked in surprise. Deliora reared its head and opened its mouth. A light green energy formed in its mouth before it brought its head back down and launched a devastating beam of energy from its mouth. Lucy and Erza were blown away by the force of the blow.
"It's too powerful…" Gray's voice trailed away. He knew what he had to do. Gray entered the same stance he was in a few minutes ago when he faced Lyon.
"No don't use 'Iced Shell' on it when I just freed it," Lyon's voice was heard from higher up. He had woke up and crawled to the chamber only to see Gray in the stance for 'Iced Shell' facing Deliora.
"No, don't do it," Haru came in and smashed his fist into Gray's cheek. Gray skidded back and faced Haru.
"What the hell are you doing?" Gray asked angrily
"I will not watch you throw your life away, we are Fairy Tail mages, we will defeat this foe like all those before," Haru said with a determined look in his eye, as Erza and Lucy re-joined their guildmate and stood with him.
"Brave words, but I will be taking over from here. I thank you for the time you bought me to restore my magic," A deep voice said from behind the Fairy Tail mages.
"' Death Walker', what are you doing here?" Erza yelled out.
"I have been here for quite a while, but that is unimportant right now. I will deal with the demon," Natsu said as he strolled past them with his hood on.
"You will not take another quarry from me," Erza said with determination.
"It is my responsibility defeating it since I am the reason it was freed," Natsu said. This statement got a few different reactions. Erza had a look of surprise, Gray one of rage, Lyon one of confusion and Lucy and Haru had looks of horror plastered on their faces.
"Why would you do that?" Erza demanded. But before Natsu could reply he had to dodge a freezing lance that was coming straight to his head.
"You freed Deliora? You killed Ur," Gray said in complete anger and rage.
"I have my reasons for doing what I did, and no, I didn't kill Ur, I saved her," Natsu said with a dangerous glare directed at Gray daring him to attack him again.
"What do you mean?" Gray asked.
"I called back her soul and reshaped her body. She will once again walk the realm of the living," Natsu replied.
"Your lying, she used 'Iced Shell'. It's impossible to be revived," Gray shouted back with a tear forming in his eye.
"No, it's not. She is currently recovering but I assure you she is alive," a voice said.
"How do you know?" Gray asked, desperate for answers.
The answer never came as another beam from Deliora interrupted their conversation.
"Get out of here if you want to live," Natsu said.
"No, we will stay and fight," Erza replied determined not to run from the fight. She wasn't expecting the overwhelming aura of death that came next.
"Why do you smell like a dragon? Do you know where Igneel is?" Haru suddenly shouted.
He didn't get a direct answer as Deliora slammed it's fist in between the Fairy Tail mages and Natsu. "Death Dragon's Devastating Fist" Natsu called out and slammed his fist that was covered in purple and grey energy into the demon's cheek.
"You're a Dragon Slayer?" Haru asked in disbelief after hearing the attack.
Deliora recovered from the attack and brought both its fists down on Natsu. One of the fists, however, was bombarded by crystal balls while Natsu caught the other one.
"Death Dragon's Talons" Natsu yelled out and flipped himself over Deliora's fist and with his foot covered in grey and purple energy delivered a powerful kick to the demon's shoulder. The effects of the attack could be seen as the demon's arm went limp.
Deliora let out a roar in pain before swinging its arm towards Natsu. Natsu was unable to dodge while in the air and raised his arms to guard himself.
"We have to help him," Lucy cried out as she saw the man they knew as 'Death Walker' hit a wall.
"I proclaim a Dragon's Duel with the demon of Destruction" Natsu called out. The only one who reacted to this was Haru.
"Don't interfere with this fight," Haru shouted out and dashed in front of Gray and Erza preventing them from aiding 'Death Walker'.
"What now? We can't let him deal with Deliora alone," Erza retorted and tried to push past Haru.
"He declared a Dragon's Duel, meaning anyone who interferes with this one-on-one fight will be seen as his enemy and he will show no mercy," Haru explained the related part of dragon culture.
"So you're saying we should just sit back and wait till one of them wins?" Gray asked in anger.
"No, the duel will only last a minute, after that anyone can join. For dragons, if you can't defeat a foe in one minute after declaring a duel it means you aren't strong enough. It's a way for dragons to test their strength," Haru explained.
"I think we have to listen, Gray, 'Death Walker' is a powerful mage and it seems like he is a dragon slayer as well. I don't want him as an enemy if at all possible," Erza said, remembering the power he showed in the few encounters they had.
"Fine, but after one minute I will not stand back and wait," Gray said.
'Good, now I can weaken the demon without worrying about them. After a minute a combined attack will be able to take Deliora down for good. It was lucky that they have a first-generation Dragon Slayer with them otherwise this would have been a lot harder,' Natsu thought as he prepared for the next attack from the demon.
"Death Dragon's Roar" Natsu called out and a vortex of grey and purple collided with Deliora gaining another roar of pain from the demon. Deliora, enraged by the pain began throwing punches wildly.
One of the punches travelled to the boulder where Ultear and Ur was. Natsu immediately jumped in the way of the punch and called out "Death Dragon's Death Blast" and formed a ball of energy in his hands before throwing it at the demon's fist. When the ball collided a massive explosion occurred that redirected the punch to harmlessly hi the ground, cratering the ground but doing no other damage.
"You said he was a Dragon Slayer?" Erza asked Haru as they watched 'Death Walker' battle Deliora.
"Yes, and he was trained by a dragon, like me," Haru replied.
"Do you know what element he uses?" Erza asked. She was trying to figure out what element would feel so much like death, leaning towards shades, unaware of the element of death.
"I don't know but from the spells he calls out it seems like he uses Death Dragon Slayer magic," Haru said with a confused look. Erza gained an equally confused look and wondered if there was an element that used death as a power source.
"To use death as a source of power, despicable," Erza said quietly.
"Let's not jump to any conclusions, maybe it's just a big misunderstanding," Lucy quickly said after hearing Erza, afraid that the red-head will attack 'Death Walker'.
The last few seconds of the duel drew near and Natsu called out his final attack to weaken the demon. "Death Dragon's Wing Attack", he used the two purple and grey whips to deal massive damage to the already tired demon.
"Attack with your most powerful spell. This demon falls today," Natsu called out to the other mages in the room.
"Re-quip: Heavens Wheel Armour" Erza called out since she had re-quipped back into her normal Heart Kreuz Armour during the duel period. "Blumenblatt" she once again used the attack and delivered a crippling blow to the heavily damaged demon.
"Fire Dragon Secret Art: Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade" Haru called out and swiped his arms in a circular fashion. This created a powerful torrent of flames that barraged the demon earning him a pained roar.
"Ice-Make: Cold Excalibur" Gray called out as a massive great-sword made of ice formed in his hands. Gray slashed the sword in an X-shape across Deliora's body leaving behind a trail of ice. Lucy looked on in wonder at the power of her guildmates. 'I must get stronger,' she thought feeling like they didn't need her.
A barrage of crystal balls bombarded the demon but only Natsu saw it through the explosions caused by the other attacks.
"And now for the finally to your cycle of destruction," Natsu said as he powered up. "Death Dragon's Secret Art: Decaying Grasp: Death Dragon's Desolation Roar" Natsu called out as a massive swirling vortex of purple and grey energy sped towards the downed demon. The small amounts of algae and shrubs that were scattered around the cavern floor wilted away and decayed into nothing as the roar passed them.
Deliora was consumed by the purple and grey vortex. The Fairy Tail mages stared at Natsu in a mixture of amazement and fear. The attack was powerful and deadly seeing the decaying effect it had on the shrubs and algae.
"You are sentenced by the heir of death to never walk this plain again. Ekess marfedelom wux re spol," Natsu said closing his eyes.
"What was that last part?" Erza whispered to Haru, she suspected it was some language that Dragon Slayer could speak but she was not about to ask 'Death Walker' for answers.
"Something like 'To death, you are sent'." Haru translated, he was happy that Igneel taught him the draconic language but this seems older than the one he knew.
"The ancient tongue of the Dragons," Natsu said, confirming to Haru that the dialect Natsu used was far older than what he learned.
"Now you are going to answer our question 'Death Walker'," Erza said as she made her way over to where Natsu was standing.
"Even though I'm glad to see you have learned some manners when approaching someone, I must decline the questioning. I have important business to attend to," Natsu said dismissively and began to sink into the shadows.
"Wait, can you tell me if you know where Igneel is?" Haru called out, desperate for answers about the whereabouts of his father.
"I have a feeling we will meet again Fairy Tail," Natsu said before he completely disappeared.
"No, I was supposed to defeat Deliora, but it was too powerful for me. What have I done," Lyon said as he walked over to where the Fairy Tail mages were on unsteady feet.
"We're not done with you, you destroyed the village…" Haru began to talk but was interrupted by Erza.
"That's quite enough Haru, everyone here had their families killed by Deliora. Lyon promised to defeat the demon if they free it. We can't fault them for doing what they believed to right," Erza said. She had heard the tale after taking out the cultists that followed Lyon. A sad tale of families torn apart by a demon.
"Let's go see what we can do about that curse," Erza said as she made her way back to the villagers' storage location where they set up camp after their village was destroyed. The Fairy Tail mages followed Erza but Gray hung back and looked over to Lyon.
"What are you looking at?" Lyon asked in a displeased voice, not wanting to hear Gray gloat about his victory.
"That guy that helped us defeat Deliora, the one in the grey hood. He said he saved Ur. I don't know how or if he is telling the truth but either way, you might want to join a guild. That way you can find new friends and if I find any information on what that guy said about Ur I can easily find you," Gray said.
"Whatever, just go," Lyon said and looked away, but he was unable to hide his surprise that Ur might be alive and hope that he would be able to surpass her from Gray. Gray left with a last look and a small smile.
-With Ultear and the unconscious Ur-
Ultear was looking down at her mother with a content smile. She was happy to see her and happy that Deliora was defeated without casualties.
"You ready to move out?" Natsu rose from the shadows in front of her.
"Where are we going to go?" Ultear asked.
"I know a doctor that will look after your mother until she recovers. He is a good guy and one of the few that know who I am," Natsu replied. A lacrima orb that Ultear had in her pocket began to blink.
"I'm so sorry but I have to go somewhere," Ultear said with a sad look.
"Don't worry I will help you through your troubles. Here, this lacrima will allow you to contact me. We still have much to discuss but for now, go to where you need to be and don't raise any suspicion," Natsu said with a look that told Ultear he knew who contacted her.
"Please look after my mother," Ultear asked while looking at her mother with concern.
"One last thing, mind repairing the village?" Natsu asked with a grin.
"Why would I do that?" Ultear asked. Instead of answering the question, Natsu brought her into a tight hug. Ultear melted into his cool embrace.
"I will contact you soon to talk about things if you do this," Natsu whispered to her.
'Like a d-d-date?' Ultear thought to herself with a blush. She just nodded into Natsu's chest enjoying the embrace.
"Good, now it is time for me to leave. But I will contact you soon," Natsu said and placed a kiss on Ultear's forehead. Natsu released Ultear from the embrace and went to pick Ur up. He turned back to Ultear and gave her a smile that made her knees weak, and with that, he sunk into the shadows with Ur in his arms.
'You might be the only one to save me, Natsu' Ultear thought with a happy smile.
There you go, Deliora is defeated and Ur is revived. Now Ur will not be part of the story further on for some time, maybe only after the Tenrou Arc will she have a role, unless I get some ideas for earlier. Don't worry too much for the unanswered questions the Fairy Tail mages have at this moment they will get their change to seek out answers. So next time the Phantom Lord Arc will commence. I will see who's perspective I will tell most of the tale from. Natsu will not be involved in most of the Arc only during the final battle and I already have an idea as to how he will get involved that should make it easier for me to incorporate him in a later arc. Let me know if you want Haru to play a more prominent role in the rest of the story or if I should just use him as a secondary character. Leave a review and let me know what you think because I love reading your thoughs. See you next time.
