Chief Zephyr flew up into the air, peering down over the city square. Most of the humans had already scattered to the vehicles or into the jungle. Not a moment too soon. He hoped they would be able to do so before it discovered the intruders in it's territory.

"Chief Zephyr!"

Zephyr turned and saw Princess Elena, and his trainees flying toward them.

"Princess Elena?" Zephyr said, turning to her.

"What are you doing here?"

Slylar and Elena flew up before the chief.

"Please Chief Zephyr," Elena begged of him.

"You have to get everyone out of here. The humans are armed!"

It was a shock and a concern to Zephyr to hear the humans were armed. But even so, he knew they couldn't let up now. Not with them being in the territory of the other creature which also guards the valley.

Grimmel steadied his crossbow, peering through the darkness at the shadow creatures. Many of them swept passed his men much too fast. That wasn't to say they wouldn't be hard to hit. In all his years of hunting, he had managed to hit even the quickest of game. In the near distance, he saw several flying in place. One of which looked to be the shadow of a lion with the wings of a macaw. A prize to be won.

He then grinned, taking aim at the shadow.

Elena glanced down at the truck and saw the man was aiming at Chief Zephyr. She then gasped.

"Look out!" She cried, reaching out to the chief.

Zephyr and the Skylar turned and saw the man aiming the crossbow at him. He saw him pull the trigger and the arrow shot toward the chief. Acting quickly, they flew back from the arrow which flung passed them. Elena turned and looked back down at the man standing at the back of the truck. She squinted her eyes, curiously, leaning her head froward as she tried to get a closer look. Lowing his crossbow, the jaquin princess bared witness to the man behind the weapon.

The man. He looked familiar. Like someone whom he had seen before.

Memories came flashing before her eyes. It was there she saw the man's face once more, standing before her late father, shaking his hand.

Elena the gasped. Though upon coming back into the moment, she saw him pulling back his crossbow and place another arrow in the very center. He then took aim at them once more take aim at them.

"Uh oh, hang on sis!" Skylar said.

Elena grabbed hold of Skylar as he flew up into the air just as the man took the shot. They then flew into the air, high above the square. Skylar glanced back at his sister.

"That was a close one." He said.

Elena nodded her head.

"Yeah, I think so." she insisted.

"We need to get out of here!" Migs stated.

Elena shook her head. She wasn't about to abandon Chief Zephyr or any of the other Guardians.

"No, not with Chief Zephyr and everyone else." She stated to them.

She glanced down to her brother.

"Skylar, take us down."

"Princess!" Migs said as they flew back down.

Hiccup and Astrid struggled to carry Fishlegs back to the trucks. He was so heavy. His weight was baring down on them so much, they both were panting hard as they tried to catch their breath. Hiccup glanced to him.

"Come on, Fishlegs," he said.

"You gotta help us out here."

Fishlegs groaned.

"Sorry, guys." he said, before his head fell once more.

Astrid glanced up into the air and gasped.

"Hiccup, look out!" She said.

Hiccup glanced up and saw one of the shadow creatures diving down at them. He they ducked down

"Hiccup," Astrid said.

"We can't keep on like this."

Hiccup knew she was right. There was no way they could make it to the trucks like this. Not with those things flying above them. They had to hide someplace. He turned, glancing to the nearby temples.

"Over there!" He said, pointing to the temples.

"Come on!"

The two turned and made their way over to the temples stairway. They then climbed up the stairway, groaning as they carried Fishlegs up the old stone steps.

"Come on," Hiccup said, panting.

"Almost there."

They continued to climb up the remaining steps.

A single arrow shot passed Vestia. She gasped, stopping quickly mid air. She the turned and saw one of the humans standing at the back of the one of the vehicles. Armed with one of a crossbow. Several others came up from around the truck, armed with the same weapon. Vestia turned to two other Guardians behind her.

"Watch out!" she warned them.

"The humans are armed!"

Grimmel's men came up and raised their crossbows. They then proceeded to fire upon the shadow creature.

"Look out!" Vestia cried.

The Jaquins quickly scattered as the arrows flung passed them.

Skylar, Migs, Luna and Neko stopped in mid air, seeing the guardians were in danger.

"Oh no!" he said.

"They're in trouble!" Elena said.

"Come on!"

They then flew in toward Vestia and the others.

They then came into the entrance of the temple.

"Right here!" Hiccup said.

They then set Fishlegs down up against the wall. Astrid then glanced to Hiccup.

"What now?" she asked, curiously.

Hiccup then turned and came up to the temple entrance. Her peered outside up at the night sky, seeing the many shadow creatures swarming outside. He glanced ahead at the trucks, where he saw Grimmel and his men fending off the shadow creatures.

They had to get to back to Grimmel and Mendoza. But with Fishlegs with how he is, those things will picked them off. It would much quicker if one of them go.

He glanced back to Astrid and Fishlegs.

"I'm going to get Dr. Mendoza and Grimmel," he said.

"You guys wait here."

Astrid turned to Hiccup.

"Hiccup, no," Astrid protested.

"Wait!"

Hiccup shook his head. They couldn't wait anymore and Fishlegs could be really hurt. One of them had to get help.

"We can't wait," Hiccup insisted.

"Stay here with Fishlegs, I'll go get the others."

Hiccup turned and ran out of the temple.

"Hiccup!" Astrid called out to him.

Vestia had dodged an incoming arrow. She then peered below at the man standing above the others. She growled, baring her fangs at the man. She then flew down at the man.

Elena and Skylar came up behind her.

"Vestia, wait!" she called out, reaching out for her.

Grimmel glanced up and saw one of the shadowy figures flying toward her. He then grinned, conniving and aimed his crossbow. He then pulled the trigger and fired the arrow.

Vestia gasped and tried to move out of the way. Though just as she was about to evade the incoming projectile, she felt a sharp pain as it flung passed her wing. She gasped, stopping in mid air, struggling to keep herself above ground.

Elena gasped, cupping her hands over her mouth. She then saw the man leap down off the back of the truck and placed another arrow in the middle. He once more raised his crossbow, aiming for Vestia. Elena couldn't stand by anymore. She had to do something.

"Skylar, Down!" she said pointing downward.

"Hang on!" Skylar said as he flew down.

Grimmel lined up the shot. The tip of the arrow was pointing up at the shadow creature,

Elena reached down and pulled out her scepter. She then raised her scepter and aimed down at the man.

"Blaze!" she then said.

The tip of her scepter lid up a bright yellow light which shot down at the man.

There was a bright yellow light reflecting off his crossbow. Grimmel glanced up and before he could react, he was thrown back by a sudden blast. Hiccup paused, seeing a bright flash near the vehicles.

"What the?" he said.

Grimmel landed flat over his back. Dr. Mendoza gasped as she came up to him.

"Grimmel!" She said, kneeling down to him.

He turned his head, groaning.

Elena and Skylar turned to Vestia, who flew up to them.

"You okay?" Skylar asked, curiously.

Vestia nodded her head.

"Yeah," she insisted.

"Yeah I'm fine."

Her gaze then shifted toward the temple. She widened her eyes, gasping in awe. Elena squinted her eyes curiously. She then turned and looked back at the temple, where a strange black shadow stood over the top. Crawling over the temple room, the form spread out what appeared to be two large wings which resembled that of a bat. Follow by a sudden loud screeching bellow over the city square.

Hiccup gazed up in awe at the shadow creature which stood atop the temple. This one much larger then the ones that were swarming the city square. It's very wings blocked out the light of the moon.

Chief Zephyr gazed up to the creature, widening his eyes.

"We're too late." he said.
