-With Natsu-

Natsu was standing next to a bed, looking at the short-haired woman currently occupying said bed. He could see that her eyes were moving under her closed eyelids and the occasional twitch of her hand that was above the covers. The door to the dimly lit room opened up and revealed a brown-haired man with a white doctor's coat.

"She will be waking up soon, her recovery is coming along nicely. Physically she is in perfect condition, but I can't say anything about mentally or magically," Mike said as he came into the room.

"I'll give Ultear a call, she will want to be here," Natsu said as he turned around and gave Mike a nod before walking out of the room. Black eyes opened and stared at the ceiling with a look of shock and longing in them as soon as Ultear's name was uttered. Mike looked at the closed door for a moment when he heard a grunt from behind him. As he turned around he saw the woman attempting to sit up.

"Ah, miss Ur, please don't get up just yet, allow me to first make sure there is nothing I missed," Mike said as he walked up to the bed and gently pushed her back down.

"Who are you and how am I here?" Ur asked. She was certain that she used 'Iced Shell' and that would mean that she gave up her body with no way to return. She lifted one hand and looked at it in disbelief and amazement.

"I am just a doctor, my name is Mike. As for your question about how you are here, and I assume you don't necessarily mean in this room. You will have to ask the man who just walked out that question, he should be back shortly so if you would please allow me to do some final checks I would appreciate it greatly," Mike replied with a kind smile.

Ur gave the doctor a nod to proceed but during the entire time, she was trying, and failing, to wrap her head around what happened and how she was able to be back in her body. She also had her mind on what that man said before he left. 'Ultear, that couldn't be her. They said she died. No, it must just be a coincidence,' Ur tried to convince herself, but she couldn't keep the little ray of hope that filled her heart at the prospect of her daughter actually being alive.

On the other side of the door, Natsu was walking to the entrance hall of the house before exiting to find a secluded space where he can talk freely to Ultear. Natsu found a shaded spot under a tree ad pulled out a lacrima which he supplied with some of his magic to activate it. After a few minutes, the lacrima shined for a second before dimming down again before a voice was heard coming from it.

"Natsu, everything good there?" Ultear's calm voice asked.

"Hello Ultear, I wanted to tell you that your mother is waking up," Natsu said with a grin.

"Really, hold on I'll be there in about an hour," Ultear's excited voice could be heard before the Lacrima completely dimmed. Natsu let out a chuckle shaking his head with a smile as he thought about the excited tone in Ultear's voice, but then again, who can blame her if she can see her mother again, who she thought was lost to her forever.

Natsu made his way back to Ur's room. As he opened the door he heard Mike telling Ur that there are no issues and that he will go and find Natsu so that she can get some answers to the questions that were troubling her mind.

"It's good to see you awake, Ur Milkovich," Natsu said as he made his way over to a chair near the bed as Mike left the room.

"It seems like you have the advantage here since you know who I am, but I don't know who you are," Ur replied to his greeting. She studied the man who sat in the chair and noted his handsome face, the scar over his eye as well as his pink hair.

"My name is Natsu Dragneel, but only a select few know that name, most people know me as 'Death Walker'. I hope you understand that I don't want my name spread all over," Natsu introduced himself after a moment of silence.

"I must say I feel honoured that a handsome young man like you would trust me with such private information," Ur giggled with a smile.

"I do have my reasons for telling you, however, I don't think it's my place to inform you exactly what the reason is to that. But don't worry, you will know the reason soon," Natsu said before adding the last part when he saw Ur gaining a questioning look and preparing to ask that very question Natsu expected.

"Well then, mind telling me how I am here, seeing as I used the spell 'Iced Shell'. And that is a spell that uses the user's body to seal a foe for all eternity," Ur requested.

"That would be because I reformed your body and basically brought you back," Natsu said with a neutral tone.

"How is that even possible," Ur asked with wide eyes and utter disbelief in her eyes and voice.

"Magic can work in mysterious and extraordinary ways, and it just so happens that I have the correct magic to bring you back," Natsu replied as he formed a sphere of his magic and let it flow through his fingers.

"What kind of magic is that it feels like death," Ur asked with a troubled expression.

"The rarest magic in existence, Death Magic," Natsu replied as he continued to look at the ball of death floating between his fingers.

"How did you come to possess such magic?" Ur asked with concern and weariness in her voice and on her face. She was wary of what magic with the power over death could do and concerned for the man on what he had to give in order to obtain such magic.

"I can't completely answer that question myself since there are a few blank spots but as the reason that I do know I will keep to myself, please don't be offended but being so secretive is one of the ways I have stayed alive and active in my line of work," Natsu replied.

"I guess you aren't part of any guild then, judging by that last statement," Ur guessed and looked at Natsu for confirmation.

"That would be correct, and before you ask, being in a guild will limit what I can do, seeing as some the things I do are frowned upon by the authorities," Natsu explained. The door opened to reveal a petite woman with short brown hair holding a tray with some food on it.

"Sorry to bother you but I thought Ur would want some food, seeing as she is awake now. There is some food for you in the kitchen Natsu," the woman said with a warm smile as she placed the tray on the bedside table.

"Thank you, Serena, I'll get some shortly," Natsu said with a smile.

"Call if you need anything else," Serena said as she retreated back out of the room.

"I'll leave you to eat. When you are done the person I want you to meet should be here," Natsu said as he stood up and made his way to the door. Ur just watched him leave with a questioning look on her face, wondering who the person is that she would meet.

After Natsu closed the door Ur looked at the food Serena left for her and moved the tray to her knees. She took a careful bite of the food and her eyes lit up at the wonderful flavours. With a content smile, she dug into the meal with gratitude after realising how hungry she was.

-At the new Fairy Tail guildhall-

The group who were at the Tower of Heaven returned to a newly completed guild hall after the old one was destroyed by Phantom Lord. They were amazed by all the new features in the hall like the pool, the larger main hall, gift shop and the fact that the second floor is open to all members. They were welcomed back by a beautiful some thanks to Mira after which Gajeel, a new member of Fairy Tail along with Juvia, started singing a song of his own, only for a guild wide brawl to start, rendering Makarov a crying mess due to the future repair bills.

"Erza would you mind joining me in my office, I would like to get a report of what happened to you all," Makarov said after the chaos of the brawl died down. Makarov made his way up the stair to his office without waiting for an answer, knowing that Erza would follow.

Erza got up from the chair she at in with her team and after giving them a nod made her way after Makarov. She was led through one of the doors on the second floor where she saw an old wooden desk filled with paperwork, a chai behind the desk, a couch and a few paintings.

"Please take a seat. I am still decorating my office since getting the main hall ready is a higher priority," Makarov said, gesturing to the couch after which he saw Erza looking around the bare room and answered the unasked question.

"Thank you, Master," Erza replied and took a seat on the couch and watched as Makarov sat down on his chair behind the desk.

"The Magic Council Headquarters has been destroyed and Yajima said Siegrain is responsible, this was after Siegrain convinced the Council to fire Etherion on a target that, if my hunch is correct, is the same place that you lot got all your injuries," Makarov started, providing Erza all the information he knew so that she could easily fill in the blanks.

"I trust you still remember my story from before I joined the guild. Well, Siegrain is the same person as Jellal and he was indeed the one that orchestrated the fall of the Council Headquarters. He infiltrated the Council for the sole reason to use the Etherion Cannon to power the Tower of Heaven or R-System," Erza began telling a condensed version of what happened while they were away from the guild.

"That is quite troubling that dark mages were able to infiltrate the Council and even go as far as to manipulate them into doing what they wished," Makarov commented with a troubled expression, wondering if there were other dark mages in similar positions as Jellal.

"I think the new Council will be more careful with the background checks they do for their new members, do you know who will be in charge of appointing the new Council?" Erza asked Makarov since he was a Wizard Saint there is a possibility that he knew what is going on with the Council.

"I heard that the Four Gods of Ishgar will be mainly responsible for choosing the new Council," Makarov replied.

"That should deter most dark mages from attempting to infiltrate the top seats of the council at the least," Erza mused.

"Let's get back to the events at the Tower," Makarov suggested, seeing as they had ventured off-topic and he didn't want to keep Erza occupied for too long.

"Of course, Jellal used my old friends to capture me. Haru, Gray and Lucy along with Juvia and two others came to the Tower to rescue me. We met up in the Tower where I was able to tell my old friends the truth and that Jellal was manipulating them. Jellal seemed to predict their betrayal so he hired Trinity Raven from Death's Head Caucus to fight on his side," Erza continued with her condensed version.

"Trinity Raven you say, they truly are a powerful team, I am pleased to hear that my children have grown so much to the point where they can stand their own against such odds," Makarov commented with pride in his voice and a smile on his face. Erza returned the smile and appreciated the praise from Makarov.

"The way Jellal constructed the upper floors forced us to split into smaller groups, each group faced a member of Trinity Raven, but Jellal mentioned four foes, however, I believe that the only answer to who dealt with the fourth was the other two people who helped us," Erza said.

"Who were the people who helped you?" Makarov asked, wanting to know who aided his children so that he could thank them if he ever met them.

"Believe it or not it was 'Death Walker' and Councilwoman Ultear Milkovich," Erza replied.

"To a certain extent, I can understand why 'Death Walker' would be there, considering what we know of his views. He has a strong view of death and something like the R-System that defies death itself would attract him. As for the Councilwoman, I am very surprised and curious as to why she was there," Makarov said while stroking his chin.

"She was at the Akane Resort with 'Death Walker' but I was unable to find out what their relationship was," Erza said with a sigh.

"That is all right child. Now is there anything else that happened during the events at the Tower of Heaven that you want to tell me about?" Makarov asked in a kind voice, knowing that Erza was blaming herself for not getting potentially helpful information.

"After we defeated the members of Trinity Raven, we regrouped and went to confront Jellal. Jellal manipulated me into thinking he was the same boy I knew before he went crazy. That was when he was able to place a binding spell on me and the Etherion fired. After the Tower was revealed to be a giant lacrima and Jellal revealed his plan, Haru and Gray fought him. It looked like they were winning until Siegrain, who was a thought projection, merged with Jellal, returning his full power. With his full power, he was able to defeat Haru and Gray. That was when 'Death Walker' stepped in and ended the ordeal," Erza said, disappointment in herself evident in her voice seeing that she wasn't able to contribute a lot during this time.

"We all need aid from our comrades when we are at our most vulnerable. We gain new strength from our friends and family," Makarov said in a kind fatherly voice, hoping to comfort Erza.

"I know Master, 'Death Walker' said the same to me after we were back at Akane Resort," Erza replied with a smile. This surprised and pleased Makarov, to see his children growing up. 'One more thing I have to thank that boy for,' Makarov thought.

"I think that would be all the information I would need, thank you Erza. Just for my own curiosity, did you see 'Death Walker' fighting?" Makarov asked.

"It was hard to see the battle but we saw the end," Erza replied.

-With Natsu-

Natsu was standing outside of Mike's house, waiting for a certain purple-haired maiden who should be arriving any time now. He didn't have to wait long before he saw the beauty running towards him.

"Is she awake?" Ultear demanded as soon as she came up to Natsu.

"Not even a hello?" Natsu asked with a sly smile. This question made Ultear blush at her rudeness and the cute smile Natsu was giving her.

"I'm sorry, but please tell me is she awake?" Ultear asked in a calmer and more controlled voice.

"Yes Ultear your mother is awake, and physically she is fine, no problems there," Natsu replied with a kind and soft smile. Ultear jumped into Natsu's chest with tears of joy running down her beautiful face. Natsu's smile softened even more as he gently embraced her.

"Why don't we stay out here until you have calmed down a bit, wouldn't want your mother to see you like this after so long, right?" Natsu asked the crying woman in his arms. Ultear looked up at him with a happy face and gave him a nod before snuggling into his chest. They stayed like that in comfortable silence with only the occasional sniff from Ultear.

"Ready?" Natsu asked gently as he looked down into Ultear's eyes. He got a slight nod in response and with a smile released Ultear from the embrace and began leading her to the house.

Ultear walked behind Natsu, giving a greeting to Mike and his family as she passed them. When Natsu was about to open the door to Ur's room Ultear tugged on his sleeve. Natsu glanced at her and saw the question in her eyes. With a smile, he stepped aside to allow her to be the one to enter the room first.

Ultear slowly opened the door and saw the short, purple-haired woman sitting on the bed. Her unkempt short hair, black eyes, pale skin, everything was exactly as she remembered. This was her mother, exactly the same as when she saw her after she escaped from the Bureau of Magical Development. A tear formed in Ultear's eye as she looked at her mother.

Ur was looking at the woman in front of her, she looked so familiar and it didn't take long for her mind to figure out this woman looked almost identical to her with the biggest difference being her hair length. Something within her heart called out to this woman. Her heart was filled with a loving feeling that she couldn't put her finger on. Her mind raced to try and think about who this woman is and why she is so happy to see her.

"Mom," a shaky voice called out to her. Ur's heart ached at hearing that. She knew this woman was her daughter. How she was alive didn't matter right now all that mattered was the fact that she was alive.

"Ultear," Ur replied with a shaky voice brimming with tears of joy. She revelled in the fact that she could once again say her daughter's name and it not being a reminder that she was dead. Ultear almost jumped at her mother on the bead and quickly embraced her in a loving embrace that she longed for all her life.

"I'll leave you two to catch up. I have something I have to take care of but I'll see you later tonight," Natsu said as he gave the two women a wave before leaving the room.

"Be sure to watch over them Mike," Natsu said with a smile as he walked to the entrance of the house.

"You should know by now I take great care of my patients," Mike replied with a smile as he waved goodbye.

-Shirotsume Town-

Three figures walked up to an old building that looked warn down. It was in the northern corner of the town and within the building resided a dark guild known as Ghoul Spirit.

"Usually dark guilds have lookouts posted at the entrance of their base of operations," a light brown-haired woman with dark brown eyes and visible pink lips said with a huff. She has a voluptuous figure with large breasts and curvy hips. She wore a green dress with movable wings on the back of it and navy blue stockings with sandals. She completed the look with a pair of oval glasses and a feathered purple fan with three hearts on it. On her right side of her breast was a green Fairy Tail mark.

"They must think highly about themselves if they believe that they don't need guards," a tall man with a mildly muscular build and broad shoulders replied. His upper body is covered in a dark, mildly fitting cloth covered in vertical white stripes, which extends up to his head to cover it in a tight hood only leaving his face and hands exposed. The upper part of his face is obscured with a metal visor reminiscent of a medieval sallet. He has large armbands and shoulder pads with sculls on them, and a simple dark band is used to hold up his massive waist guard made of cloth. He finished his look with baggy dark pants tucked into a pair of light, armoured greaves.

"Highly of themselves," five tiki totems repeated in unison as the man stuck out his tongue revealing a black Fairy Tail mark.

"Evergreen, Bickslow, be on guard, there is something wrong here," a slim man of average height with waist-length light-green hair said to his two companions. His bangs are brushed to one side covering the majority of the right side of his face and he has a pair of thin lightning bolt-shaped strands jutting out backwards from the side of his head. The end of his hair is tied into a short ponytail with a grey ribbon. He wears a dark red knee-length double-breasted coat, which possessed a wide collar, large lighter-coloured cuffs. His coat is closed with four golden buttons and a black belt around his waist. A light cravat tie is barely visible around his neck and he completes his outfit with a rapier strapped to the belt. On the back of his left hand is a green Fairy Tail mark.

"You're always such a buzzkill Freed," Bickslow said as the tiki tomes that floated around him repeated 'Buzzkill'.

"We are here on a mission as the Thunder Legion, there is no room for error when Laxus' name is on the line," Freed replied, dismissing Bickslow's words. When they arrived at the doors to the dark guild they were met with a sight that confused them. The doors were broken and there were a few members of the dark guild scattered around the broken doors, knocked out.

"We were assured that we were the only ones who took this job, so what is going on here?" Evergreen asked as she gave one of the knocked out members an experimental kick, getting no response.

"There is something in the air that gives me the creeps," Bickslow said as he felt a bit of strange magic coming from within the dark guild's hall. The tiki totems repeated the word 'Creepy' as they floated around Bickslow.

"We have a job to do," Freed stated as he made his way into the guildhall. The tingles of concern they felt outside the hall when they saw the knocked out members skyrocketed when they saw the large number of unconscious mages covering the floor.

A body came flying from the second floor of the hall and the man landed in front of the three mages. They were surprised to see the look of utter terror in the man's eyes as he stared back at the floor from where he had come from. The Fairy Tail mages followed the man's gaze.

"All you have to do was tell me where your master is hiding and this suffering will be over, I can find him myself but it would really appreciate it if you saved me the trouble," a deep voice said from the second floor. The thunder Legion all took their battle stances as the waited for the person who took their job to show himself.

A man cloaked in dark clothing with a hood on his head made an appearance. The three Fairy Tail mages could feel his cold gaze on them and they felt the magical power that rolled off of the man.

"And who might you be?" the man asked the three mages as he made his way over to the terror struck mage he just threw off the second floor only a moment before. The cloaked man crouched down next to the man who could just look at him in fear.

"We are the Thunder Legion, the personal guard of Laxus. Now tell us who you are before things get messy," Freed said while narrowing his eyes at the crouching man.

"Now this is your last chance, the only chance you have at redemption is to tell me where your master is hiding and renounce this way of living or else I will end your miserable life so that you will never be able to destroy the lives of the innocent again," the cloaked man said, completely ignoring Freed's demand.

"T-There is a trap door under the rug in his office, please don't kill me," the terror struck mage stammered out as he feebly raised his hands above his head in a fruitless attempt to protect himself from the monster in front of him.

"Now was that so hard?" the mysterious man asked as he stood up and made his way to the stairs once again. The man stopped in his tracks as a rapier appeared at his throat. The man glanced at Freed as a purple and grey aura began to surround him.

"You will tell us who you are or we will consider you an enemy who needs to be eliminated," Freed said with a threatening tone while Bickslow moved in front of the man with his tiki totems forming up behind him and Evergreen took her spot at the opposite side to Fred, opening her fan and keeping it in front of her mouth, only revealing her eyes.

"I would advise you to allow me to finish what I am here to do," the man said in a calm tone that sent a shiver down the three mages spines. Their eyes widened when they felt the magic that was practically leaking out of the man. There was only one thing that could give this aura… Death.

"Just who are you and why is it that we can feel a massive amount of death coming from you?" Evergreen asked with a slight amount of fear showing on her face no matter how hard she tried to hide it. This man possessed magical power that was no doubt at least at their level.

The man didn't even look at Evergreen and moved his hand to Freed's rapier. He grabbed the blade with his bare hand before jerking it out of Freed's hand before discarding it by throwing it across the room.

"This will be the last time I ask you to move aside by your own free will and let me finish what I came here to do before I start moving you," the man said in his calm tone of voice.

"It's quite simple to get what you want buddy, first you have to tell us who you are," Bickslow said as he stood in the man's way. The tiki totems repeated the words 'Tell us'.

The man's eyes locked with the tiki totems and the three mages could practically feel the anger that was rolling off of the man. Without saying anything else the man's hand shot forward and grabbed hold of Bickslow's throat. The Thunder Legion's eyes widened at the speed the man possessed.

"There are few crimes worse than taking the life on an innocent and you have committed one of them," the man hissed out as he tightened his grip on Bickslow's neck. Freed jumped back to where his rapier was while Evergreen also gained some distance between her and the mysterious mage.

"Let's calm down a bit, why don't you tell us what Bickslow did wrong?" Evergreen suggested, not wanting her teammate to be harmed and unsure whether Freed and herself would be able to get the man to release Bickslow without him getting hurt.

"Preventing the souls of the dead from passing is worse than ripping them from their bodies," the man hissed out with a voice filled with venom. "Death Dragon's Devastating Fist" the man called out and slammed his fist that was covered in a purple and grey energy into Bickslow's face, sending him flying towards one of the walls. The man was prepared to launch yet another attack at unimaginable speed when the tiki totems floated between him and Bickslow.

"Move," came the simple command from the man but the tiki totems just stayed where they were while saying in frightened voices 'No hurting him'. With a huff, the man turned back towards the stair and made his way up to the second floor.

"What the hell is his problem?" Bickslow asked as he rubbed his throat that was sore from the pressure of the man's grip.

"And why did he just leave all of a sudden?" Freed asked whit a confused expression at the man's odd behaviour and apparent mood swings.

"That guy is completely unstable," Evergreen said as she offered Bickslow a hand since she was closest to him. Their little conversation was interrupted by a man's frightened scream coming from the second floor. After a moment of silence another shriek was heard, only to be cut off abruptly. Another moment of deadly silence passed before the man reappeared.

"You are lucky I am allowing you to go but if I catchword that you have enslaved anymore lost spirits I will end you," the man said as purple eyes shone from within the shadowy depths of his hood.

"Just who the hell are you?" Evergreen demanded, an angry expression on her face.

"And what did you do up there?" Freed asked with a scowl.

Bickslow was the only member of the Thunder Legion who had a look of terror when he looked at the man's soul with his special eyes. This… thing in front of him, he couldn't find the words to describe what he saw when he looked at his soul.

"Is it a requirement for you to be this persistent to be allowed into Fairy Tail?" the man asked with a hint of sarcasm laced in his voice. He didn't wait for an answer as he made his way to the entrance of the guildhall.

The moment before the strange man disappeared into the shadows the Thunder Legion could hear two distinct words. "Death Walker". With those parting words, he melted into the shadows and his eerie presence disappeared.

"Am I correct when I say that man just said he was 'Death Walker'?" Evergreen asked with a bit of fear in her voice. They had heard about the exploits of the mage who single-handedly eliminated a massive amount of dark guilds, and if recent reports were to be believed he even took care of Jose Parola.

"There's no doubt about it, you could feel death following in his footsteps," Freed confirmed with a grim look. He then turned his attention to Bickslow and concern filled his eyes as he saw the terror still etched into his friend's posture and facial expression,

"You all right there Bickslow?" Freed asked, concern evident in his voice.

"That thing was not of this plane," Bickslow whispered out. Evergreen and Freed's expressions showed their surprise.

"Let's report back to Laxus," Evergreen suggested, not wanting to say a moment longer.

"I just want to go look what 'Death Walker' did to the master of this guild," Freed said as he slowly turned to the stairs.

-With Ultear and Ur-

The mother-daughter duo had spent the better part of the afternoon catching up. Ur told her daughter everything that happened after the Bureau lied to her about Ultear's death and how she started to train Gray and Lyon. She finished her tale by telling her about her final confrontation with the demon Deliora.

Ultear talked about her time at the Bureau and the pain she felt after she wrongly thought her mother abandoned her. Tears were shed from both sides apologizing for the agony that event caused both of them. Ultear continued to tell her mother about the major events that happened after her battle with Deliora but kept the part where she joined a dark guild hidden. She wanted to at least wait for Natsu to come back and be a supporting pillar for her before she could reveal the atrocities she committed all in the name of a dream that, now that she thought about it, might not even have been possible.

The two were now just having an idle chat about the events that led up to Ur's revival. Ultear already told her mother the tale but now they were just talking and smiling about what the two students of Ur might have done in their battle while sipping on cups of tea that Serena graciously brought them somewhere during their heartfelt conversation.

"Seems like you two are getting along," Natsu's deep voice said from the door. He had his hood down and a smile present on his face.

"There was a lot to talk about," Ultear said with a smile.

"And now I need to thank you yet again for giving me this opportunity," Ur said with a smile of her own.

"Have you mentioned the Fantasia Festival yet, it might be a good place to reintroduce her to society?" Natsu asked.

"That is a wonderful idea," Ultear's eyes lit up as she thought about enjoying a festival that was revered across the land with her mother.

"I always enjoyed a good festival, but do you think I will be able to get out of here by then?" Ur asked. Up until now, she was barely able to sit up on her own, so walking around might just be out of her reach. That and there was still one injury that didn't seem to have been healed when Natsu brought her back.

"Mike said that you will be able to stand up by tomorrow and that by the time the festival comes around you should have been able to practice enough that you will be walking around with little to no trouble," Natsu said.

"It sounded like she will have to learn how to walk?" Ultear questioned after hearing the way Natsu said that last part.

"My leg was taken when I was fighting Deliora, I used my magic to create a prosthetic back then but I can't access my magic, is there a reason for that?" Ur replied to Ultear's question before turning to Natsu to address him with the last part since he was the one who brought her back.

"Mike said he will help you with a new prosthetic tomorrow, and don't worry about anything it's all covered. As for your magic, it will return but for that, I will have to help you basically recreate the link you had with it. I couldn't do it when I revived you because I didn't know everything about the connection you have with magic. It will take some time but you will be able to use magic again in the future so no need to worry about that," Natsu replied.

Natsu saw Ultear and Ur letting out a yawn and chuckled.

"How about I go see if dinner is ready, after that you can get a good night's sleep," Natsu offered.

"That would be nice," Ultear said with a warm smile and with that Natsu left the two. A few minutes later Natsu returned with a small girl with shoulder-length brown hair. He was holding a tray with food while the girl was holding a jug of water and glasses.

"Thank you, Mia, let's put this down and then we can go and get our food," Natsu said to the small girl with a smile. After they placed the food and drink down Mia turned to Natsu.

"I want a piggyback ride," she said cheerfully as she looked up at him with her big blue eyes.

"Sure thing Mia," Natsu said and crouched down to allow the girl on his back. As the two of them left Ultear and Ur could hear the joyful laughter of the little girl.

"You seem to have caught you a good one," Ur said with a sly smile as Ultear's face lit up. Ultear was a stammering mess and opted just to hand her mother a plate of food, hoping that preoccupying her mouth with eating would ease off the teasing that was bound to happen. Ur just laughed at her daughter as she happily accepted the food.

There you go, my wonderful readers. Sorry for the long wait, my exams are finally over and all my reports are submitted. I will try and keep to a more regular uploading schedule but there might be times I miss it by a day or two since to help with a few extra things while we are going on vacation. Other than that please let me know what you thought of this prelude to the Battle for Fairy Tail arc. I have some interesting ideas for what I want to explore and I hope you will enjoy reading them once I have written it. I will see all of you in the next chapter.
