Chapter 25
'Thinking' – thoughts
"Speaking" – speech
'Thinking' – Dragon/God/Beast thinking
"Speaking" - Dragon/God/Beast speaking
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or any of its characters they are property of Hiro Masima.
Amanny: I'm going to have fun coming up with ways to combine her Ice-Make magic with her Arc of Time as well as giving her some great Ice-Make spells, so we will see how powerful she becomes. For Haru's pairing, I haven't decided at all, not even thought about it but if you have a suggestion, please let me know. As for Natsu vs Hades, let's just say that the demon heart has been keeping Hades alive for a very long time ;).
Kriim-Sauce786: Next chapter you will see how things turn out with Team Erza and Natsu but you should be able to form some sort of idea base on what I have here. So for this arc, there will be two main events, Natsu's events and Ultear's. Team Erza will be featured again in this arc for certain reasons I will not disclose as of now but I hope you will enjoy it.
gamboaramosivan3: That is a rare pairing I might explore in the future, but not for this fic.
Vincent Blames: Wendy won't be showing up in this arc, maybe at the very end but she won't be involved in the plot here at all, but I have a cool idea for the Oracion Seis arc that I hope you will enjoy a lot.
Ksfb1996: This story is updated every third week, on my profile, there is a better explanation of how my uploads work if you want to take a look there.
-Unknown location -
"Gather them all up, let none of them escape or you won't be able to summon your lord," a muscular middle-aged man with long dark hair gathered at the back of his head barked out as he watched the robed men run amok in the burning town.
"Sir, the town is surrounded by my men, no one will get out of here," a large man that towered over his companion by an entire head replied with a bloodthirsty grin. He had short grey hair, a muscular body wearing a long cloak that was open in the front, exposing his muscular chest and his grey pants and black combat boots. The man had a great sword in his right hand and a large dual bladed axe in his left, blood dripping from both blades.
"Don't become full of yourself, Gohra. The town guard was barely a force to be reckoned with," the black-haired man replied.
"Feeling my blades tare through their flesh and feeling the blood splashing against my skin, that is the feeling I live for and once our Lord is summoned, he will grant us all the slaughter we wish for," Gohra replied as he gazed at the blood dripping from his blade.
"Just remember that you work under me until your end of the bargain is completed. After that, I couldn't care less what you do, but until that time you will refrain from spewing your blood-lusting crap in my presence," the black-haired man said with a dark gaze portraying his annoyance. If it wasn't for the importance of this maniac he would have already crushed him into the ground.
"Whatever you say," Gohra replied. 'Once our Lord rises, you will be the first to donate your blood to his glory,' Gohra thought.
"Once your men had captured all the civilians, bring them to the summoning location," the black-haired man ordered before turning around and walking away from the burning ruins of what was once a small village.
"And where are you going?" Gohra asked without taking his eyes off of the carnage that was unfolding in front of him.
"To ensure preparations are completed and everything is in order for me to get what I want," the reply came as the middle-aged man disappeared into the smoke that still surrounded the village.
-Magnolia Train station-
Haru, Gray, Lucy and Happy were sitting on a bench at the train station waiting for the last member of their team to arrive. They had returned from the mission they took and now they were just waiting for Erza to arrive so that they can take the train heading to Oshibana.
"What is taking Erza so long?" Lucy asked as she looked at the clock hanging from the station ceiling, seeing that it was already five minutes past the time they agreed to meet up at the station.
"Why is it that if we are late she gives us a speech about being on time before beating us into the ground, but when she's late it's nothing?" Gray asked with a bit of annoyance seeping into his voice.
"I agree that it is annoying, but she always tells us to strike her if she is late," Haru replied.
"What is up with that even, not that I would ever do that though," Gray agreed, shivering at the last remark while imagining what would happen if someone actually went through with her request.
"She would probably start beating whoever hit her," Haru agreed with his own shiver.
"It's weird to see those two agreeing on something," Lucy commented. She had come to accept that those two would just always argue over anything possible, no matter how stupid.
"Aye, though they usually start arguing soon after agreeing about something," Happy chimed in and as if to prove his point Haru and Gray smashed their foreheads into one another's.
"Want to say that again Ice Pop?" Haru shouted.
"I said, Erza would easily knock you out with one hit since you are so weak, Ash Breath," Gray shouted back.
"As if you would fare better you useless stripper," Haru countered.
"Of course I would do better, I'm far stronger than you are you damn lizard," Gray reiterated.
"What have I told you two about fighting?" Erza's voice sounded before the sound of metal connecting with bone was heard echoing around the station quickly followed by a thud and groaning.
"Now, stop wasting time and get on the train," Erza demanded as she walked to the train, pulling her massive cart of luggage.
"Doesn't she know that we were all waiting for her?" Lucy asked under her breath as she pulled Gray up from his crater while Happy went over to Haru.
"Do you want to go and correct her?" Happy asked in horror as he lifted Haru off the ground. Hearing that Lucy quickly decided that it didn't matter and all they had to do now was board the train as quickly as possible before Erza realised they might be 'wasting' more time.
Team Erza quickly found an empty compartment and took their seats. Gray and Lucy sat on one side while Erza and a groaning Haru sat on the other side while Happy was floating in the middle.
"I will aid you with your motion sickness Haru," Erza said as she turned and rammed a fist into the poor Dragon Slayer's stomach before he could protest, knocking him out as he toppled over.
"Now, we will be training with 'Death Walker', so I expect you to be on your best behaviour. He was a huge help during Laxus' little rebellion so we can't go disrespecting him," Erza said with a hard glare at Gray.
"What are you looking at me for?" Gray asked with a slight shake to his voice, uneasy under the hard glare of Titania.
"Gray, your clothes," Lucy said with a deadpan expression.
"What the…" Gray shouted as he looked down only to see that he was down to his shorts. Gray quickly looked around and was happy to see his shirt hanging on the doorknob to their compartment. With a grumble, he put it on all the while Happy let out small giggles and snickers.
The train ride went by without much excitement with the conscious members of the team exchanging small talk. Once the train came to a halt Erza unceremoniously dragged Haru out of the train as Gray and Lucy sweat dropped while Happy let out another set of giggles.
"Haru where did 'Death Walker' say we are to meet him?" Erza asked as she hoisted the man to his feet after she heard a groan from him, signalling he was conscious once more.
"Ugh, give me a sec," Haru groaned out as he attempted to get his stomach back in place and out of his throat. Erza surprisingly allowed him to recover before asking again instead of demanding him to answer straight away.
"Thanks," Haru quickly thanked Erza for her patience before he stood up straight.
"Now, where did 'Death Walker' say he will be meeting him for this?" Erza asked.
"Before I say anything, Erza be aware that it was Gramp's idea to send you all along with me when 'Death Walker' specifically said that I should come alone," Haru said while looking at Erza.
"I'm sure 'Death Walker' won't mind if we come along, no need to worry," Erza said in a dismissive tone to which Haru could just roll his eyes. 'I highly doubt that' Haru thought to himself, not seeing any benefits from voicing his doubt to the stubborn knight.
"Okay, but I won't take any responsibility for what he might do or say. He told me to meet him at Triade Valley tomorrow. He never specified a time but I thought that I would just go there early in the morning and wait," Haru informed the team.
"Then we will find lodgings for tonight and set out at dawn," Erza decided, ignoring Haru's first statement. The group made their way over to one of the inns and paid for their rooms, Haru and Gray sharing one with Happy while Erza and Lucy shared the other one.
"Flame Brain, any idea on what this training will consist of?" Gray asked Haru as they retired to their room for the night.
"Once again, there is no guarantee that he will even train you guys. Honestly, the chances are he'll either send you all away or up and leave without meeting us," Haru said with a sigh.
"Whatever just answer the question Pyro," Gray said with slight annoyance.
"Fine Ice Princess, but after this don't ask again. I would expect that it would follow the same line of training Igneel put me through where it would be a heavy focus on physical training to start with and then after that magical training with new abilities and increasing proficiency with old abilities and ending with more mental exercises," Haru guessed, taking his training with Igneel as a base to form his guess from.
"Don't go around making stuff up, you doing mental exercises, now that is a good joke," Gray laughed at the thought of, in his opinion, the dumbest member of the guild doing anything that required his brain.
"Are you saying I'm stupid you Icicle Brained moron?" Haru asked with his voice starting to rise in volume and an angered expression forming its way on his face.
"That's exactly what I'm saying Lizard Breath, all the fire you have been eating has melted your damn brain," Gray responded with the same rise in his voice's volume and a smug look on his face.
"Something must have happened that shattered that frozen thing you used to call a brain Ice Pop," Haru said as an orange aura started to emit from his body and his side of the room started heating up.
"Nah, it's just that everything I do is way above your intelligence level Flame Brain," Gray said with an icy blue aura surrounding him as the temperature dropped on his side of the room. In their intense stare down, they didn't see a blue ball of fur rocketing out of the thus they were none the wiser to the imminent danger they were in.
"I'll show you who's the smartest by mashing your dumb head through that wall Stripper," Haru threatened, pointing to the wall with a window in it and lighting his hand on fire.
"Bring it one Hot Head," Gray accepted the challenge as ice began to form around his feet while he placed his right fist on his open left palm. Identical grins formed on the two male mages' faces before they dashed towards one another attacks at the ready.
Moments before the two clashed their trajectory took a ninety-degree turn straight into the ground. The two groaned in pain before shooting upright and turned on their new foe who dared to interrupt their duel. They turned their fists on the newcomer.
"What do you two think you're doing," Erza's commanding voice boomed from above them. The realisation hit the two like a train. An enraged Erza had just knocked them to the ground and they were about to retaliate. Only once before had either of them retaliated against and enraged Titania, and let's just say there is a reason they only did it once.
Flashbacks of the horrors that followed filled the two males' minds as they dropped to their knees and started to beg for forgiveness.
"I'm sorry Erza, please forgive me, it was his fault," both boys pleaded with the enraged knight and attempting to place the blame on the other. Their pleas however didn't seem to affect Erza's anger. Erza once again slammed her gauntlet covered fist in both their heads before she let out a tired sigh.
"Just don't start fighting and causing so much trouble and I will refrain from punishing you today seeing as it is so late and it would be rude to awaken everyone around with your pitiful screams," Erza said as she walked out of the room, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Guess we got off easy," Haru commented.
"Yeah, but how did she know we were about to fight?" Gray asked.
"I have an idea a certain fish-loving cat had something to do with it," Haru said.
"This is a one-time offer Flame Brain, but how about we call a quick truce until we get even with Happy?" Gray suggested, extending his hand.
"As long as this is a one-time thing I'm in Icicle," Haru replied, grabbing hold of Gray's hand and shaking on their temporary ceasefire. If you listened carefully you could hear the hair on Happy's neck bristling at the cold feeling he felt running down his spine.
-With Ur-
Ur had seen Natsu off the previous night and now she was drinking her morning coffee while sitting on the porch of Mike's home. Serena had given her the coffee once she woke up, informing her that Mike had already left for work. She also asked if she wanted anything from the market seeing that she was going anyway with Mia. This is how Ur was now alone at the home of the kind doctor who nursed her back to health after her ten years as ice.
'Seems like I can call on my magic, but the level I can access is at a beginner level,' Ur thought to herself as she formed a small lily made of ice in her hand. 'But I can feel that my magic container hasn't shrunk, it actually grew a bit,' Ur's thoughts continued to run as she inspected her icy flower.
'Mike said that I should be able to reopen the channels my magic used to flow through rather quickly once I use it more. I think that going through the basic of maker magic with Ultear will help both of us tremendously before we really get into actually performing more advanced techniques, the basics should only take three days at most since it isn't something new,' Ur began thinking about training with Ultear.
Unbeknownst to Ur, the lily in her hand started to reform into a more human-like figure while Ur was thinking about her daughter. Slowly the human-like figure took on more definable attributes like long hair and a voluptuous figure as Ur's thought about training with her daughter continued.
"That is a truly beautiful sculpture you have there in your hand mother," Ultear's voice snapped Ur out of her musing.
"Wha… Ultear, when did you get here?" Ur asked in confusion before a happy smile formed on her face.
"I got here a minute ago, but it seemed like you were busy doing something so I didn't interrupt, and I must say I'm happy I didn't since now I can see this beautiful little sculpture," Ultear said with a smile as she indicated to the icy sculpture in Ur's hand.
Ur had a slightly confused look on her face because, sure the lily wasn't bad-looking, but it certainly wasn't something to be praised over. Her confusion was replaced by surprise when she looked at what should have been a basic ice lily only to see a miniature ice sculpture that looked exactly like Ultear.
"Maker magic sure is a beautiful thing that reveals what your heart and mind truly consists of," Ur said with a fond smile and a slight chuckle.
"What do you mean?" Ultear asked.
"I made a basic lily at first, just feeling my magic out before I started to think about how we will go about training. My magic seemed to have tapped into my thoughts and remoulded the lily into a sculpture of you," Ur explained with a loving smile
Ultear had a look of admiration and love for her mother in her eyes before fear started to invade her expression. She knew that she wasn't a pure-hearted person with what she had done in her past. To have that put on display through her magic if she wasn't focusing was a terrifying thought. If others saw some of the atrocities she committed…
"Ultear, your past isn't something that defines you. You heard what Natsu said about looking to the future. I don't care what you have done since it was my fault for not seeing the lies of that place. Maker magic, while it might look into your thoughts, will never betray you. The reason why this sculpture of you was created was because I was happy when I thought about you. I might not understand magic as well as some people out there but I do know that magic will only reveal what you truly want it to, even if it goes about it without you realising," Ur said with a stern expression at first before it changed to the loving expression a mother would show to her children.
"So it won't show the horrors that sometimes plague my thoughts?" Ultear asked in a small voice, fearing her secret would be on display at the wrong times. She was aware that her mother and Natsu had accepted her with all her flaws and the atrocities of her past but others would certainly not accept her so openly.
"If you don't want your past to be on display then it won't just know that I don't care about what you had done and it seems like Natsu doesn't either," Ur said as she placed the ice sculpture on the small table and embraced Ultear in a comforting hug.
"I know, thank you," Ultear said as she returned the hug.
"Back to happier subjects, I'm guessing that you being here means that you are ready to go on a little training trip with me?" Ur asked with a grin.
"Yeah, where will we be going, I remember you saying you have a place in mind?" Ultear asked, happy that the subject was changed.
"I want it to be a surprise, let's go to the train station and I'll buy the tickets we will need," Ur said as she got up and walked into the house before coming back out with a small bag and locking the door.
"They gave me a key and told me to just lock up if I had to go anywhere," Ur answered Ultear's unasked question after seeing the questioning look. With that being said the mother-daughter duo made their way to the station, ready to depart to their destination that one was still unaware of.
-With Natsu-
Two mountains rose to either side of him, with a lush green coating of foliage at the bottom, steadily dimming out to the barren grey face of the rocky mountain tops. The early morning mist was just starting to evaporate while Natsu was sitting on a rock in the middle of the stream flowing through the valley.
Suddenly the area around Natsu morphed into a volcanic landscape that Natsu had seen before.
"Greeting Dragon King Igneel, I suspect this means your Slyer is near," Natsu said, remembering the previous encounter with the Fire Dragon King.
"Greetings, son of Draco Mortem, Natsu Dragneel. You are indeed correct in your assumption, however, there is a situation I must inform you of," Igneel's booming voice sounded around the wasteland.
"It must be serious if you deemed it necessary to contact me beforehand," Natsu stated.
"It's not something most would get worked up about but from what I can tell about you I thought you would appreciate the head's up. Makarov Dreyar had ordered Haru to bring some of his companions, regardless of Haru's disagreement and pointing out that you would surely leave," Igneel informed Natsu of what he should expect.
"I thank you for the information Igneel. You and your Slayer were correct in your assumption on my actions if I had been unaware of this, but seeing as he respected my wishes and the only reason he brought others being an order from his Guild master, I will overlook the extras," Natsu replied with a sigh. 'These Fairies are becoming too familiar with me it seems,' Natsu thought.
"It brings me relief to hear that you will help my son with his training. Now, on that note, there are a few things that I have regretted not having enough time to teach the brat. If you are willing, I will provide you with all the knowledge of the techniques I wanted to teach the brat, and as an added bonus you could say, the knowledge can be applied to all forms of Dragon Slayer Magic, not just my variant. The reason I don't just give him this knowledge is because of experience in how the world and Dragon Slayer Magic works. I doubt Draco had told you of this knowledge since it is what you can call the modern forms of Dragon Slayer Magic. You will understand once you gain this knowledge. I have heard of some of our exploits and knowing Draco, I know you won't misuse this knowledge," Igneel proposed.
"I would be honoured to have you bestow such great trust in me, and I will pass on the knowledge you give me to him," Natsu accepted.
"Then prepare to accept the blessings of a King so I may bestow the knowledge of Dragons upon you," Igneel's voice said in a powerful tone. Natsu obeyed, knowing how Dragon Culture works and after hearing the words that starts some of the most sacred rituals of Dragon Kind he quickly dropped to a knee with a fist on the ground and his other hand resting on his knee.
"Mrith nomeno si majak ekess wux, irthir di wer z'ar grapwol, irthir di jiil xkhatir ir, irthir di juanth geou demak lae ir mrith irthir di z'ar. Tir wux jihai?" Igneel spoke in Draconic.
"Si jihai wer irthir di jiil, di z'ar vur juanth. Klae ve lae batobot svaust geou dolruth coi shafaer de wer juanth ekess wer z'ar." Natsu replied in Draconic.
"Irthir si tepoha ui irthir wux jaka tepoha," Igneel said as a giant scaly red draconic claw rose from the lava that flowed through the volcanic wasteland. The claw lifted one finger and placed the sharp talon to Natsu's forehead.
A rush of knowledge ran through Natsu's head as the volcanic wasteland disappeared and the valley reappeared in its place. Natsu found himself still in the kneeling position. Natsu's eyes were wide open now as he took deep and laboured breaths. He felt the knowledge still finding places in his mind to settle after being transferred instantaneously.
On the winds he could pick up the sounds of voices closing in on his location, however, he couldn't make out what they were saying just yet, indicating that they were still some way's off. Moving from the kneeling position into a meditative position, Natsu began to ease his breathing and calming his racing mind.
"How much further is the meeting spot?" Gray's annoyed voice reached Natsu's ears.
"If you don't want to be here, just leave," Haru exclaimed, clearly having heard the same line a few times.
"Be quiet and keep your eyes out for him," Erza's commanding voice silenced the two.
"Happy, can you fly up and see if he is near?" Lucy asked the blue cat. Natsu heard the flapping of wings and soon a blue dot appeared in the open sky. Feeling his mind calm, Natsu stood up to make it easier for the flying cat to see him.
Natsu saw the little blue dot drop back to the ground before hearing that the cat had spotted him. Natsu released his hold on his magic and allowed it to run rampant. A deathly grey and black aura surrounded him with swirls of purple spread amongst it. The spot he had chosen to meet Haru was far away enough away from the town so that this rise in magic power wouldn't be detected. The group of mages approaching him, however, would be able to feel the impressive and terrifying power he was putting out.
-With Team Erza-
Happy was barely in the air for a minute when he came rocketing back to them.
"I can see him, he's just up ahead," Happy shouted moments before the wave of death magic flooded the valley. Lucy and Happy almost immediately fell to the ground, not expecting the sudden pressure while Haru and Gray had dropped to their knees leaving Erza the only one who managed to stay standing although it wasn't easy. The Fairy Tail mages slowly found their footing, releasing their magic in an attempt to counteract the insane magical pressure weighing down on them.
"Nomeno ui vi cekip di geou, tir ti aso astahi ihk ergriff nomenes svaust shilta mavli geou waph," a deathly whisper resonated through the mixture of grey, black and purple that surrounded the group.
'So that's what's happening,' Haru realised as he relived a terrifying yet awe-inspiring scene from his time with Igneel.
-Flashback-
"Igneel, I already know all of this stuff, why don't you teach me new moves," Haru complained as Igneel once again told him to practice his regular arts as well as the secret arts he had taught the young boy.
"You are not proficient enough with the abilities you currently have for the next step, now do as I said," Igneel said as he laid down in the entrance to the cave he and his son called home.
"Come on, I already mastered all of the basic spells," Natsu complained and as if to prove it he went through casting all the basic spells, only panting slightly at the end of his demonstration.
"While you are powerful, you are still some ways off from mastering the techniques I have taught you brat," Igneel scoffed. The confidence Haru had gained in his abilities was a welcoming sight, but lately, it had started to border on overconfidence.
"Come on you over-grown Lizard, you know the only reason you're not teaching me new things is that you're afraid that I will be stronger than you," Haru said with a smug grin on his face.
"Fine, but to start things off, I will put you through a test of will. Ui dout geou versvesh aurthon usv ti?" Igneel asked, switching to Draconic at the end with a tone that suggested he was angered. Hearing the change to the ancient language instantly put Haru on edge but nothing would prepare him for the force that suddenly bore down on him.
Igneel released his power.
Within an instant, all the trees surrounding the cave the two called home was turned to ash and pillars of fire rose from the ground. Haru was slammed into the ground due to the overwhelming magical pressure descending on him, creating a crater. It seemed like the very air surrounding the mighty Fire Dragon King was on fire. Igneel took a strong step towards the downed Haru with a menacing aura surrounding him. The Dragon raised his mighty claw and slammed it down to where Haru was.
Haru released a terrified scream as he shut his eyes. His death was coming, if only he wasn't so cocky. He felt a massive gust of wind right next to him before he was flung away. He crashed into the face of the mountain where the cave he had grown up in was located. Quickly following his impact, dirt and small stones pelted the rock around him.
"The test of will is an ancient Dragon Tradition, usually the young listen to their elders when they say that they aren't ready yet. Once your will is strong enough to stand tall against an insurmountable power you know will not harm you, that is when you pass the test and your next stage of development can begin. Your will is not strong enough to stand against your fears. But take pride my son, for you took the test and survived," Igneel's voice sounded soothing and proud.
Haru looked up and saw a grin on the massive Dragon's face. Tears started to leak from his eyes as he rushed towards his father and hugged his snout.
"I-I-I'm s-s-sorry, Igneel. I-I-I'll listen to what you say," Haru quickly apologised as he cried on his father's snout.
"My son, forgive me for frightening you, but taking on what is beyond your current abilities will only result in a terrible end. I promise that once you are ready I will teach you the next stage of your Dragon Slayer Magic. For now, eat some of my flames to recover, then we will take it easy for the rest of the day," Igneel soothed Haru.
-End of Flashback-
'I'm sorry everyone, but this is for your own good,' Haru thought as he got to his feet and stood tall. With the surrounding area becoming a maelstrom of purple black and grey, two violent purple orbs with thin black slits in them stared at them. Two dark wings spread out behind the figure as it advanced. They all recognised it as Natsu's Dragon Force.
"'Death Walker', we are here with Haru to train, we aren't here to fight," Erza said, the strain from expending her magic to keep standing evident in her voice.
"Ui dout geou versvesh aurthon usv ti?" Natsu asked in a silent whisper.
"W-We have no idea what t-that means," Gray struggled with his words.
The purple colour that surrounded the area started to converge in one spot, that spot being Natsu's hand. Slowly some of the black and grey magic started mixing with the purple orb around Natsu's hand.
Slowly Natsu pulled back his arm, ready to strike.
"What are you doing?" Erza shouted before calling out "Re-quip: Adamantine Armour".
Gray quickly snapped his head from side to side, searching for an escape route before falling to his knees in despair. All Lucy and Happy could do was whimper in fear as they saw their death fast approaching, frozen by fear. Haru stood with a stoic expression. He was ready for it this time.
Erza came out of her Re-quip, dressed in her strongest defensive armour wielding the two side of the massive shield in her hands. She started bringing the two close to one another but then she stopped. Rushing towards eh was the magic coated fist of Natsu. The fear that ran through her mind at that moment caused her to drop the two halves of the shield.
The clanging of the shield was the only sound that could be heard before a wave of power rushed through the valley, leaving all the undergrowth withering away and the river dry. If one would have looked into the valley at that moment they would see a desolate wasteland of grey being left by the wave of power. If there were any mages in Oshibana they would have been able to feel a gust of magic flowing through the area, before it teetered out on the opposite side of the town.
-With Ultear and Ur-
A giant mountain cloaked by a raging blizzard stood before the mother and daughter.
"This is where we're going to train, Mount Hakobe?" Ultear asked, feeling the cold air around her.
"Yes, at the very peak we will finish our training, there is something there that I believe all ice-Make wizards should see and feel," Ur replied as she gazed at the snowy mountain.
"So I guess we should get supplies to make it to the top," Ultear said. They were barely outside Hakobe village where they had gotten off the train.
"No, first we will start with the basics near the base of the mountain. The cold climate is perfect for starting, later we will move to the middle of the mountain as we continue with the training before we finally reach the peak at the end of our training," Ur replied.
"Okay, lead the way, Master," Ultear said with a small grin.
"Very well my student," Ur replied with a chuckle.
-Near the peak of Mt. Hakobe-
Drops of blood froze on the snowy blanket that was covering the mountain next to a small trench. The blood drops followed the trench until both disappeared into a dark cave.
-Unknown Location-
A muscular middle-aged man with long dark hair was kneeling in front of a lacrima.
"That is your orders, get what we need and move on to the next one," the voice coming from the lacrima said.
"As you wish Master," the man replied before the lacrima dimmed and the man stood up. His eyes quickly spotted movement near him. Extending his hand and releasing a dark purplish energy a man soon came flying towards him.
"Pesky insect," the man said as he stared into the terrified eyes of the man that was eavesdropping on him. The man flexed his hand muscles. All that was left of the eavesdropper's head was a blob of blood and liquefied bone.

Well, there you go, my friends. This is the beginning of my personal arc. Now, this chapter mainly consisted of setting the scene for the arc and introducing the villain as well as sneaking a peek at what might happen. I have the main plot for the chapter thought out so some things are already decided but don't let that sway you from suggesting something you might want to see, even if it isn't going to be in this arc, maybe it will find its way into later original arcs I want to do. Another thing I have come to a decision on the paring for this story, with only three more votes across my poll and reviews, Ultear will be the only mate Natsu will have. There are a lot of people who wanted Erza to be with Natsu, and I also love the pairing so I decided to commit to writing a Naza story soon. Now this will fall into the 'Requested story slot' meaning that after I finish with 'I thought I Lost you' I will start with this one, seeing as I already have a story planned for after this one finishes (whenever that will be xD). So please, if any of you have an idea as to what events should happen, whether it should be a Fairy Tail fic, or a crossover, or just any suggestions you would want to see pm me or leave a review and I will either ask for more information or begin or put down some ideas. You will have all the time from now until I start with that fic to give me suggestions or ideas, so don't feel pressured (you can also read this original arc and see if you would like something more original like this happening throughout that fic). Feel free to let me know how this arc's start is with a review or pm and I will see you all next time.
