Kuri started from another Demon Slayer dream as Rengoku-sensei towered over her. She gulped. This had been happening more and more ever since she joined the Kyudo team. It was like she was becoming a different person.

Meanwhile Zenitsu hissed. "Ooooh Hikawa is in troooouble again."

"I'm sure she will be fine." Whispered Tanjiro, the one who had tapped Kuri to wake and warn her.

"Oh dear. I hope she doesn't get in trouble. She hasn't been sleeping well." Her sister Reiko whispered.

"Now." Rengoku said. "WHY are you sleeping in my class?!"

Kuri started. "Ah! R-Rengoku-sensei…"

Inosuke was laughing in the background.

Tanjiro worried about her not getting enough sleep."She didn't sleep well sensei!" He defended.

"Oh I understand." Rengoku Sensei said, clearly NOT understanding. "Your commute is rather far, isn't it. I know! How about a special coupon for the tram!" He handed it over to a bewildered Kuri.

"Uhm…thanks…" Kuri said sheepishly.

Inosuke yawned.

Reiko grinned at her sister."Told she wouldn't get in trouble." Reiko Looked at Zenitsu.

Kuri reddened and hid behind her book.

"That's cuz Tanjiro vouched for her. He's gazing at her longingly right now." Zenitsu pointed out.

Reiko giggled. "Oh my goodness he is!"

Tanjiro was, in fact, staring at her.

"I know the feeling…" Zenitsu sighed and stared at Reiko.

Reiko blinked and looked over at him.

"Reiko you look awfully cute today." Zenitsu siiiiighed.

"I…you think I look cute Agatsuma?" Reiko tilted her head.

Zenitsu giggled. "Aw you know that!" He handed her a truffle. "I gotta get to gardening club. Wanna come?"

"Sure." Reiko smiled as she took the truffle.

"We got in some pepper seeds!" Zenitsu said excitedly.

"Oh! Really?" Reiko matched his excitement. She loved peppers. "What kind? Hot or mild?"

"Hot hot HOT!"

"Oh! Spicy ones!"

"I'm glad your so excited!"

"I enjoy gardening!"

Zenitsu beckoned. "Come look at them!"

Reiko came over.

"Come look!"

Reiko looked. "Wow! These look amazing!"

"You think so?" Zenitsu knelt down, looking at them gently. "They are my treasures."

Reiko smiled. "I understand that all too well." She knelt next to him. "You've done amazing."

Zenitsu touched the soil lovingly.

"They appreciate what you do." Reiko confided, leaning in as if listening.

"I hope so." Zenitsu breathed.

"They really do!" Reiko smiled.

"Oh!" Zenitsu looked at his watch. "it's about time to go home"

Reiko stretched. "Nngh…I guess so…"

Zenitsu helped her up and lead her to the gates.

Kuri, meanwhile, was still reading, actually reading her history book and enjoying it.

Class ended, and Tanjiro handed her a bento like he did every day. "You seem really interested in that book."

"It's just the history text!" Kuri grinned and took the bento. "Thanks again Kamado!"

"You like history?" Tanjiro wondered, thinking about getting her some books, smiling. "I don't mind making you the bentos. You can call me Tanjiro…you know?"

"Not particularly." Kuri said. "I just like learning. My favorite school text is for literature."

"You do always seem to have a book with you." Tanjiro smiled. "It's cute."

"Well of course! It's school! Oh do you want to read too, Kamado? I bet I can find you a great book if you join our Book Club?"

Kuri was the founder of the Book Club at Kimetsu Academy, and was well known for roping students in to find their "perfect book."

Tanjiro thought that sounded kinda creepy, but he wanted to make her happy, so he said, "I don't know if I'd be able to find a good book though."

"Leave it to me! I can find something you'll enjoy!" Kuri was indeed very happy and excited.

Tanjiro chuckled. "I'll hold you to that!"

"I promise!"

"I'll hold you to it!" Tanjiro beamed.

"Have you been practicing your forms for the kendo tournament?" Kuri asked.

Kendo was the number one sport of Kimetsu Academy. It was mandatory for the students to take lessons, and students were encouraged to compete.

"Oh yeah I have. Have you?"

"Aw I'm not very good at all. I'm better at kyudo. I didn't make it to the tournament."

"But you you tried!" Tanjiro encouraged.

"Yeah but it's nothing compared to your movements. Sometimes like a gentle wave, sometimes a roaring fire! Your incredible Kamado!"

Tanjiro blushed. He'd no idea she'd been watching. "I.. Well thank you. You're amazing as well! It's beautiful…"

"What is?" Kuri asked, taking her bow out of her locker and shouldering it.

"What you do with your bow!"

Kuri turned in surprise. "You like it? It's not very popular here…"

"It's amazing!" Tanjiro said.

"Aw thanks." Kuri said, searching through her books.

"Looking for a specific book?"

"Looking for one for you!"

"H-How bout we look while I walk you home?"

There it was. He'd asked her.

"Ok. Let's meet up with the others!"

No! He had to share her!

Tanjiro sighed. "Okay." He took her hand and lead her to the gate.

"Oh hey sis!" Kuri called, running to her sister.

"Hey you guys!" Reiko hugged her.

Inosuke suddenly barrelled into them. "You guys are late! Were ya kissin?!"

"We were NOT Inosuke!" Zenitsu groused, wishing they were." Don't talk like that in front of my Reiko!"

Tanjiro blushed shyl. "We…we weren't…" But the longing look he gave Kuri showed that he really wanted to.

Reiko blushed. "I ah..n-no we weren't."

Kuri smiled at Tanjiro. "Don't listen to him."

"Hey Tanjiro!" Zenitsu cried. "Didn't you get something for Kuri? You were driving me crazy this weekend!"

"Oh yes!" Tanjiro got out a bag and handed it over.

"What's this?" Kuri took out a shoe insert. "Why?"

"Your foot! You were favoring it and I..I thought that would help."

Reiko giggled.

Zenitsu groaned. "He was crazy all weekend and he stayed up two nights studying to get you that! So annoying."

"Huh? T-Tanjiro…" Kuri pulled him aside. "Let's walk home without them."

Tanjiro tried to contain his excitement.

Kuri sat down and put the insert in her shoe but had trouble getting it on.

Tanjiro helped her put it on.

"You said my name." Tanjiro smiled.

Kuri stared down into his eyes as he knelt down and put her shoe on. "I feel like Cinderella…"

Tanjiro chuckled. "Well the shoe does fit princess."

"Aaa?" Kuri looked at him, getting up quickly, testing out her new kicks. "Awesome! Thank you Tanjiro!"

"Does it feel better?"

"Yes much! Thanks!" Kuri looked up at him. "But i do have a question, and it's sorta…hard to ask…"

Tanjiro's breath hitched. "What's the question?"

"Um…correct me if I'm wrong, but are we…going out? A couple?"

Tanjiro did a double take. "Yes. Is that not okay?"

"No it is! It's great! But I…I'm so sorry! I had no idea!" Kuri bowed. "I'm sorry! I should have been…treating you better…"

"Wait you did t know?" Tanjiro said in shock. "I thought we were already a couple."

"No I didn't. I'm really dense. And your so kind, I had no idea…I'm so sorry." Kuri grasped his hands. "But I'm honored, truly."

"Then let's go get something to eat. In a date!" Tanjiro smiled at her. "Next time I'll make sure you know."

Kuri kissed him, wanting to prove that it was true that she liked him, wanting to apologize.

Tanjiro was shocked and kissed back, pulling her close.

Kuri pulled away. "S-sorry I…just wanted to…aah…mm…" Kuri grabbed and kissed him again.

"Awesome! Time alone!" Zenitsu squished Reiko.

"Ah?! Agatsuma-San!" Reiko said startled.

Zenitsu grinned. "Hey! You should call me Zenitsu!"

"I-I couldn't!"

"Yeah we can get closer!" Zenitsu leaned forward. "Pleeeeease?"

"Z-zenitsu…" Reiko whispered.

"Yeah! That's it! Can I call you Reiko?" Zenitsu grinned.

"I…okay…yes you can." Reiko approved.

"Reiko!" Zenitsu grinned.

Reiko blushed a bit and smiled at his enthusiasm.

"So…any chance todays the day you'll go out with me?!" Zenitsu asked, like he did everyday.

But today was different. Today was the day everything changed.

Because today, Reiko blinked, looked up at him, grinned, and said.

"Yes, it is."

From under the earth, beneath the seal, Muzan Kibutsuji stirred, as things began to move.
