One year later:

Emma Swan ran as fast as her feet could take her through the yard and onto the driveway. She ran passed the black gate, and into the street. She yelled as she waved one of her hands up with a pistol; her other hand clinging to a newborn baby.

She ran frantically toward the first car she spotted. The vehicle slammed on the brakes, and then rolled down the window on the driver's side. To Emma's relief, she heard Grumpy's voice as his head popped out from the car window. "The Savior? I thought you were dead!"

"No time to explain! Get me to Gold or Mother Superior- anyone with magic!" He unlocked the door instantly and she hopped into the passenger's side. Leroy noticed a dampening cuff on her wrist, so it was obvious she longed for her magic back and fast. "Now!" She demanded. "Regina and my mom are in trouble! You have to hurry!" She slammed the door as he slammed on the accelerator. The engine roared as he drove to the closest stop in town that could help which was Rumplestiltskin. As soon as he stopped the car, Emma leaped out of the vehicle and rushed into the shop. "Tell my family we were in Jefferson's house the whole time!"

"What?" He questioned in confusion.

"You heard me! Go!" She replied, opening the door to Rumple's store in panic.

"Gold! Where are you? Gold!" She scanned the shop as quick as she could.

"Emma! You're alive?" Emma found Rumplestiltskin coming out from the back room, seemingly shocked that she was there and alive.

"We don't have time for this." She passed the gun across the counter and leaned her arm forward to show the black band covering her wrist. "Get this cuff off of me! I need to protect them!"

"Protect who? Whose baby is that? Why do you have a gun?"

"We don't have time!" She started whimpering desperately; tears streaked down her face. "They are going to die if you don't take this cuff off me!"

Rumplestiltskin did what she asked of him and as soon as he did, all he could see was smoke of Emma disappearing. Rumple now looked down at a newborn baby in his arms, crying.

Once again, Emma found herself in the midst of the home that held her captive for a year. She only had been there five minutes before but it felt like she escaped for an eternity. There was so much pain he could have inflicted in five minutes, so much blood he could have spilt. She now searched the mansion for her mother. She sprinted up the stairs to the farthest master bedroom in the hall to find her own mom there, motionless, and unconscious. Emma's eyes widened as she saw a stab wound in her side and cuts in numerous places on her body; some were from days or even weeks prior. It was terrifying how much blood covered her body and how much blood had already soaked in the carpet of the room. Emma hated seeing Mary Margaret like this, so helpless and hurt. She reached for her wrist, checking for any sign of a pulse. She reluctantly sighed in relief when she felt a weak beat. She then placed her hands on her mother's wounds and concentrated on healing her with magic as fast as she could.

She then poofed Mary Margaret to the hospital after healing her. "Whale!" She screamed in agony as her mother laid beneath her feet on the hospital floor. "Help her!" She said as she disappeared once more, back to the house.

She now appeared on the main level, and darted down a staircase leading below the mansion. She made her way to the end of the stairs and felt her feet on the concrete flooring of the basement. Her breathing became rapid as she anxiously stood in the dark. "Regina?" She whispered.

Emma panicked as she heard another woman struggling for breath. She now yelled for her. "Regina!?" She moved her hands against the wall, rushing to turn the light on. Her fingers finally met with the switch and flipped it upward. There stood Jefferson who had a gash of blood in his side. Blood dripped from his wound as he grabbed the woman and held her up. Regina trembled, and tried fighting back as he clenched the knife against her throat. "No! Don't!" Emma screamed in fear for what he was about to do.

The psychotic man cringed in pain from his massive wound as he spoke. "She'll pay for what she did. Her suffering and torment will leave and death will finally come." Emma sobbed as she heard his heartbroken voice. "You shouldn't have hurt me, Emma. Now, I'm going to hurt you."

Emma shook her head, no as tears rolled down her cheek. He barely had enough strength to carry on any longer so he pressed the knife into Regina's neck. She felt her magic almost bursting through her hands until all of a sudden, she heard a loud gunshot. Emma screamed in fright as the man fell over, dead, blood pouring from his skull. She looked back at the entranceway of the basement to see Killian and her father. In Hook's right hand there was a pistol, clearly showing he was the one who shot Jefferson in the brain. Emma now rushed to Regina, healing her wound as the blood poured from her throat. She then used her magic again to remove the cuff so Regina could regain magic again. Emma could see the woman's body slowly regenerating back to normal.

"Emma, you are okay!" David smiled as he approached and hugged her in tears of happiness. "I can't believe you're really okay."

"Oh, Emma. I thought you were gone, love." Killian hurried toward her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and hugged her tightly as tears of joy poured down his cheeks.

"We can't save her, Emma. She's too weak." David said in despair at the sight of Regina's body. She looked beyond terrible. He never saw a woman look so unbelievably hurt. He doubted that she would make it even with her healing capabilities if they didn't find help soon.

Tears flooded Emma's senses as she clang tightly to Hook. "I thought you were dead." Killian said unable to comprehend that the love of his life was alive and in his arms.

David's voice broke as tears formed. "We never thought we would see you again."

Emma nodded and softly said. "Me either." Then she said, glaring back at Regina. "Killian, we got to get her to the hospital."

"Aye." The pirate replied, agreeing.

Emma then used her magic and poofed them to the hospital. Whale was there this time, rushing to care for Regina who was barely alive and unresponsive. The three watched as Regina was taken away into the emergency room. As the three peered back at Regina's broken body, David had to ask. He had to know if his wife was okay. "Snow?" He now glared in his daughter's eyes, knowing what she might say. "Is she- is your mother- is she gone?" Tears streamed down his face as he spoke those last words.

"She's here, dad. She is in bad shape though." Emma told her father. "But she is alive."

Day 2:

Emma Swan awoke in the living room, on a white firm couch. She instantly recognized the same room from years ago where Jefferson drugged her the first time. Great! This place again! As she sighed, she felt her hands handcuffed behind her back along with a dampening cuff around her wrist to dampen her powers. "Darn it!" She murmured. She tried moving her feet and quickly realized her ankles were duck taped the same as when he kidnapped her years ago.

She leaned upward now sitting, peering around the room noticing nothing had changed since the last time she was there.

Emma shifted her eyes toward Jefferson who creepily stared back at her near the fireplace, watching her every move. She noticed him completely still, eyes leering at her. "We've been through this before." She told him.

"And this time I won't let you escape." He told her blankly as a sign of distress came from her lips.

"Where's my mother and Regina?" Emma asked, worried for them both. "You- you didn't hurt them, did you? I swear if you hurt them you'll regret it!" Her voice became hostile.

"Relax, princess. I haven't hurt them- yet." He paused as he slowly made his way toward the couch she sat on. "But I will."

"I swear if you do-"

The man now reached out a gun from his side and waved it in front of his face, then pointed it at her. "You'll what? Kill me?" He mocked.

She gulped hard out of anxiousness as he put the gun back in his pocket. "Oh, Emma. The truth is I don't want to hurt you." He calmly spoke as he drew closer, pulling out a sharp pocket knife. She gulped again in worry as the man bent in front of her to steep to her level. He continued staring back into her eyes as he grasped the knife in his right hand. Within a second, he looked down, snapped the duck tape, and pulled it from her ankles so her feet were free. "I won't hurt you, believe me."

He now closed the pocket knife, placed it in his pocket, and exchanged it for a small key. He ushered her to stand up and turn around so she did and he promptly released her hands from the cuffs. "The other two won't be as lucky as you."

All of a sudden, Emma turned, punched the man, and bolted away toward anywhere she could find help.

He grunted as he held his face, realizing that her punch caused his nose to bleed. "I bet I can use this gun on your mother quicker than you can find her." He said turning his head over toward her direction after he regained composure. "Besides, you can't get out of here. It's not as easy as it seems. Every outside door and window is locked or bolted down. You can't get out, no matter how much you try."

"Why? Why do want to hurt my mother?" Emma questioned as she turned, staring back at him.

Jefferson sighed. "Your mother is here for one purpose and that is if you or Regina ever try to escape, she will die."

"Why do you have us here?" She asked repeatedly. "Tell me why! Why do you have us here?"

"This isn't about you! It's about Regina! Because Regina took everything from me! She killed my daughter." Tears formed in his eyes out of grief. "The Evil Queen killed her- my Grace."

Emma replied calmly as she stepped slowly near the couch toward him. "That wasn't her."

"But it was! Regina and the Evil Queen are the same and that is why I will hurt her. I will hurt her, until she wishes she were dead and then-" He smiled twistedly. "And only then will I kill her."

Emma shook her head, no, breathing hard with panick. "You are insane!"

The Mad Hatter ignored her statement by just giving her a charismatic smile and casually paced out of the room to go elsewhere. "I'll see you soon, Emma."

She grumbled in frustration as she moved passed the living room, dining room, and found the front door which had to of led outside. She unlocked the doorknob, grabbed it and tried opening the door. She froze as her eyes fixated on the metal that bolted down the door to the wall. She hurriedly shifted her eyes to find any type of window. Silver stained metal and wood covered parts of the walls which she assumed were supposed to be over windows. Knowing there was nothing she could do, she traveled to the large kitchen and dining room again, and finally starting roaming across the halls and stairs, searching for a way out or a chance to find Regina or her mother. There were countless doors and she tried each and every one but found they were all locked. There has to be a way out. As far as I know though, there is no way I will get out of this mansion anytime soon. That frightened her but what frightened her even more was not seeing or hearing Mary Margaret or Regina. She had no clue where they were or if they were hurt.
