Emma Swan sat alone on the bench outside on the hospital's main floor. She found Henry walking over to her, and then sitting next to her. She spoke first, breaking the silence. "I was anxious that my mom or Regina wouldn't make it but they are." She smiled at her son.

"Yeah. I always thought we would see y'all again but not like this." Henry continued. "I'm so happy that we are going to be a family again. We are all finally reunited. This calls for a celebration at Granny's!"

Emma grinned. "Woah, kid slow down. We need to get out of the hospital and settle in first."

Henry agreed and nodded his head. "But there was one thing I wanted to ask you about."

Emma sighed, trying to regain her strength. She knew what he was going to ask and she dreaded the question.

"What happened while you were gone? Why is grandma and mom like this?"

"Henry some things are better left unspoken. You're too young to understand."

"Mom, I understand that, but I'm sixteen. I can handle it."

"I'll tell you the basis but that's it. You'll have to ask Regina or Mary Margaret. They can decide if they want to tell you."

The teenage boy shook his head, okay.

"We were kidnapped by a man. The only people that know about this is David and Hook. We are going to keep it that way." Henry shook his head again in agreement. "His name was Jefferson. His daughter was around your age but she died."

"I know exactly who he is. He is the Mad Hatter, right?"

Emma nodded, yes. "He kept us in his mansion and he hurt us, Henry. We couldn't get out until a few days ago. That's all I will tell you."

"Mom, I'm not stupid! I'm sixteen! What did he do?"

"It doesn't matter now. None of it matters."

"Well it sure does matter to me, mom. My adoptive mother and grandmother were dying and you can't tell me why?!"

"I don't want you to see the world as a terrible place. I don't want you to see it so broken."

"It's too late, mom. For the last year, I thought you were somewhere out there. I was beginning to think you left us. Now you show up and people I love are hurt!" He paused. "Just tell me what he did!"

"It's none of your concern what he did, Henry. You are just a child."

"Please, I want to know what happened. After all this time I deserve to know what happened."

Emma sighed in frustration. "Fine Henry! Grandma had gotten stabbed in the side. Regina had her throat slit. I saved them both just in time for them to live."

Henry looked beyond shocked at his mother's statement.

"Henry, they would both be dead right now if I hadn't gotten my magic back."

Day 25:

As Emma rested on the couch, she saw Jefferson coming in the room. She instantly stood up and walked towards him. "When am I going to leave? My son misses me and I miss him."

"You miss your son?" Jefferson asked.

Emma calmly shook her head, yes. "Of course I do. We've been separated for what seems like weeks."

He replied. "I know what it's like to miss your child." He turned and left the room. "I'll be back."

She looked back at him again when he returned with her cell phone. "Where did- you had my phone the whole time?"

He ignored her question as he handed the phone to her. "You can call him."

"Seriously?" She questioned.

"Just remember if you say anything about who I am or where you are, your mother will die."

She took the phone and dialed Henry's number desperately. She noticed the Hatter had taken the pistol out of his pocket and waved it, taunting her. She knew if she told her son anything about where they were, Mary Margaret would the first to die. "Two minutes." He said. She breathed heavily every second, praying that her son would pick up the phone. She just wanted to hear his voice.

"Mom?"

"Henry!"

Her son answered in an overjoyed voice that brought Emma to tears. "Mom, you are okay! We thought something terrible happened! Where have you been?" It's my son. I'm finally hearing his voice for the first time in weeks! He knows I'm alright.

She could tell her son was crying in happiness as he continued to speak. "Is grandma and mom with you? Are they okay too? Where are you? What happened? We have to find you!"

"Slow down, kid."

"You wouldn't believe it. Grandpa is awake. We found a way to break the sleeping curse. Zelena had helped us."

"Really? That's wonderful." Emma responded.

Henry continued to ramble about the changes. "Yes and you wouldn't believe it. Killian came back. We are all trying to search for you, including him."

Emma was dumbfounded at the statement. She was utterly speechless.

"He- he came back?" Oh, Killian. I knew you never truly would leave. I knew you'd come back! I knew you didn't mean to leave me and break my heart. Killian is back which means maybe he'll find a way to find us. We'll actually be together again.

"Yes, mom and he's searching for you. We all are searching. Just tell me where you are and we will find you. We will always find you." Henry's words echoed in her ears.

She closed her eyes as a tear ran down her cheek. "Henry, I'm sorry but not this time. We can't- I can't tell you."

"Why not?"

She opened her eyes to see Jefferson staring back at her as he held the gun. He started backing off, getting closer and closer toward the exit door. She knew he was ready to shoot her mother if she said anything. Jefferson and Emma glared at one another until she spoke to Henry again. "I'm okay, that's all you need to know."

"What about grandma and mom? Are they alright?"

Emma sighed. "Yes, Mary Margaret is."

"And mom?"

"Um- I- she's-"

"You are scaring me. Did something happen? Is she hurt?"

"She's- she's fine, kid."

"When are we going to see each other again?"

"Henry, I don't know. I don't know anything right now. Just that it won't be soon."

"Why not? I miss you. We all miss you. The whole town has been searching for the three of y'all."

"I miss you too but we can't see each other for a while."

Henry sighed as his voice broke in sadness. "Then you promise me that you, mom and grandma will be okay?"

"I- Henry I-"

"Oh, mom. I hope you all will be okay."

"We will, kid. I promise that both Regina and Mary Margaret will be fine. I'll see you as soon as I can." I have to keep my promise for Henry. Nothing can happen to them. I'll do anything to protect them. No matter what happens I have to protect them. Emma then saw Jefferson signal her to cut off the call as he moved forward. "Henry, I got to go."

"Mom, no. When will I see you again? What happened to y'all? Why won't you tell me anything?"

"Because I can't Henry. You couldn't understand." She sighed and then her eyes filled with tears. "I hope we see you again and Killian and dad. I miss you. I love you. Tell Hook I love him and I miss him." She tried holding back the tears. "So much."

"I will. I miss you and love you too, mom. Please come back home." After Henry said those words, Emma pushed the end button, and tears fell as she wept in agony.

She placed the phone in Jefferson's hand as she sobbed. Jefferson put both the gun and phone back in his pocket as he stared back at Emma. She cried in despair as Jefferson now wrapped his arms around her and she let him. She cried, feeling hot tears pour down her cheeks. She now heard the man's voice. "Shhh. I know you miss him just like I miss my daughter, Grace."

We will all be okay, Henry. I promise we will come home. All three of us will come home if it is the last thing I do.
