Ruby Rose

The day of the wedding finally came about five months later. We decided to hold the ceremony at the beach where we had our first kiss. Of course we didn't have use of the beach house this time but that didn't matter. We just rented out the beach for the day since, while it was fairly secluded, the Schnee family didn't own it and so Weiss' Dad couldn't exactly tell us no.

"I feel like my stomach is doing flips Sis." I hold my stomach and lay my head on Yang's shoulder.

"I get it, it's a really big day but I seriously think you are stressing way too much Rubes."

"Yang's right, its normal to be a little worried but if you freak out too much you are going to make yourself sick." Robin fixes part of my makeup that I guess I somehow managed to mess up.

"How can I not freak out though?" I ask. "Weiss is the most beautiful and amazing girl in the world, I sometimes find it hard to believe she agreed to marry me in the first place."

"You're way overthinking pipsqueak." Alan lightly flicks my forehead. Alan and Jaune both agreed to be bridesmaids for me since they are both basically my best friends aside from Weiss. "Quit being dumb, Weiss is nuts about you."

"I wouldn't be so…blunt about it but he's right Ruby." Jaune says, lightly shoving Alan.

"Stop freaking out." Yang pulls me over to a nearby mirror and puts me directly in front of it. "You look absolutely beautiful and I can guarantee that Weiss will be thinking the exact same thing when she sees you. Has your Big Sis ever steered you wrong before?"

"I guess not." I turn around and hug her. "Thanks Yang…you have no idea how lost I'd be without you."

"Well luckily that won't be an issue because I'm always gonna be there." she touches our foreheads together. "I'll admit that I wasn't thrilled about this whole marriage thing but I can tell you love Weiss more than anything and I'm gonna support you both with everything I have."

"That really makes me happy to hear Yang." I try not to cry since I don't want to mess up my makeup again.

"Don't forget we all have your back too." Alan says. I look over at them all smiling widely and part of me realizes that it's going to be okay. I have my Big Sis, Dad, Uncle Qrow, and all of my amazing friends behind me.

I realize that I can do this as I take a deep breath.

"Knock knock." Dad steps inside. "You ready Ruby? The ceremony is starting soon."

"Yeah I think I am." I walk over to him and he looks like he is fighting back tears.

"Look at my baby girl…you went and grew up when I wasn't looking didn't you?" he says, clearly choked up. "You look beautiful."

"Thanks Daddy." I step forward and hug him tight. "Please don't cry though, you'll make ME cry."

"Can't have that can we?" he half heartedly lets out a small laugh and kisses the top of my head. Suddenly the wedding music starts playing.

"Oh that is our que." Yang ushers everyone toward the ceremony, stopping to give me one last hug. "We have to get to our spots but remember, you got this."

"Thanks Yang, we'll be right out." I smile as she walks out of sight. I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

"You ready sweetie?" Dad links his arm with mine. "Don't want to keep your bride waiting right?"

"R-Right…I'm ready."

"That's my girl." he says, leading me toward the ceremony. No matter how nervous I am, no matter how anxious, nothing is going to stop me from marrying Weiss. I can do this!

Weiss Schnee

I had basically gone through every aspect of today down to the finest detail to make sure it went perfectly but even now I am pacing back and forth, worried sick that something will go wrong.

"Weiss, calm down. You look great, the wedding ceremony is going to be beautiful, everything is fine." Winter says trying to calm me down as I am pacing back and forth.

"Are you sure?" I ask uneasily. "because I don't feel great in fact...I feel like I'm gonna be sick."

"Your sister is right, Weiss, you look beautiful." Pyrrha says, putting her hand on my shoulder.

I look in the mirror next to me. My hair is actually down for a change, I am wearing an elegant white and blue wedding dress, and I am actually wearing minimal makeup. If it were any other day I wouldn't be so anxious but.. "I'm just nervous because I know Ruby will be more beautiful."

Winter hugs me. "Don't worry so much little sister, I'm sure Ruby is thinking the same thing about you."

"Totally, I'd bet money she is freaking out just as much as you are." Inu walks over and fixes my veil. I guess it slipped while I was frantically pacing.

"Oh I'm sure Yang has her hands just as full as Winter." Blake says with a soft chuckle.

"Thanks guys." I say hugging my sister and smiling at everyone else. "I'm just having some bad wedding day jitters. Where is Mom by the way?"

"She is making sure that everything is just perfect. I don't think I've seen her put this much effort into anything in years."

"Y-Yeah." I say with a smile. It does genuinely make me happy to know that she not only made it but is working hard on my account.

"Heck even your little brother is doing his part. He's an adorable usher." Inu says half jokingly, making us all laugh.

"Everyone is here for you Weiss. So long as we have anything to do with it, this day will go perfectly." Winter gets behind me and brushes my hair, making sure to get any last minute tangles out. It's actually comforting, probably because it reminds me of when we were little and she'd brush my hair to make me feel better whenever I was sad or anxious.

"Is it safe to enter ladies?" We hear Kleins voice from behind the thin temporary wall.

"Come on in Klein." Blake calls out and without hesitation he steps inside. It's adorable how excited he is.

"What do you think Klein?" I ask, twirling in my dress.

"You look stunning my little snowflake…you've really grown into a beautiful young woman." he sniffles and I see tears forming in the corners of his eyes. "Oh bother, I promised myself I wouldn't do this."

"Thank you Klein." I walk over and hug him which he gladly reciprocates.

"Are you…absolutely sure that you want ME to walk you down the aisle, your Sister could do it you know." he asks and I just giggle at the silliness of the question.

"She could and we discussed it but…I really want my Father to be the one walking me down the aisle." I smile at him, fighting back tears myself. A battle he has already lost.

"Oh Weiss…" We hug one last time before the wedding music starts, indicating that the wedding ceremony is about to start.

"Alright, time to get going." Winter says guiding everyone out. The girls all stop to hug me one last time before heading out to take their places.

Klein places my veil over my face and links his arm with mine.

"Are you ready Weiss?" he asks.

"I've never been more ready for anything in my life."

"Well then, let's not keep Miss Rose waiting."

Once we reached the Aisle I saw Ruby standing there with her Dad, we decided to walk down the aisle together with our Dads. I'm almost caught off guard by how beautiful she looks. Which isn't to say she isn't always beautiful but she looks so radiant, not often I get to see her in a dress after all.

We don't speak a word to each other and she seems to almost struggle to even look at me. I can tell how nervous she is, I guess everyone was right. It's actually kind of adorable.

In reality the walk down the aisle wasn't very long, a couple of minutes at most, but it felt like the longest walk I had ever experienced. Once we finally reach the end of the aisle the music stops playing and the minister begins speaking.

"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here to join these women together in marriage. If anyone has any reason why these two should not be wed let them speak now or forever hold their peace." No one spoke up which is lucky because I'd rather not see Yang or Winter beat anyone up today.

"Through marriage Ruby and Weiss make a commitment together to face their disappointments, embrace their dreams, realize their hopes and accept each other's failures. Now, who supports this woman in marriage?" he asks, motioning to Ruby.

"Her Dad does." Tai says, obviously fighting back tears. I don't think I have ever seen him this emotional. He kisses her on the cheek and gives me a hug before taking his seat in the front row.

"And who supports this woman in marriage?" he asks, motioning this time to me.

"Her Father does." Klein says, not bothering to fight back the tears. He then hugs me and Ruby before taking his spot in the front row next to Mom.

My maid of honor, Winter, along with my bridesmaids Inu, Pyrrha and Blake are all lined up on my side of the altar. Yang, as Ruby's Maid of Honor along with Robin, Alan and Jaune were her lined up on Ruby's side.

"This relationship stands for love, loyalty, honesty and trust, but most of all for friendship. Before they knew love, they were friends, and it was from this friendship that they found love, now our two brides have prepared personal vows."

"Weiss...you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can't ever repay you for the happiness that you have given me but I vow that I will try for the rest of my life. I will be there for you whenever you need me, I will never ask more of you than I am willing to give, I will do my best to make you as happy as I can and I will give you all the love I have to give for the rest of our lives." I start to tear up as I listen to her beautiful words. "There is nothing in the entire universe that will ever be able to come between us."

"Ruby you say that you can never repay me..well then, I guess we are in the same boat." I say, trying not to cry. "Before I met you I was just drifting through life, going through the motions, just getting by. You not only helped me make friendships that will last forever but you helped me realize who I really am and what I want. You have already made me happier than I ever thought I could be and I promise that I will try my best to return the favor. I will work as hard as I can to make a good life for us, to stand by you during the hard times, and to never ever take you for granted."

"Do you, Ruby, take Weiss to be your wife? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?" he asks, looking toward Ruby and motioning toward me.

"I do." she says joyfully and without even a second of hesitation.

"Do you Weiss take Ruby to be your wife? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?" he asks again this time motioning to Ruby and looking toward me.

"I do." I say, unable to contain my excitement. Tears still run down my face.

With that, we exchange wedding rings, my heart swells even more as Ruby slides the ring on my finger.

"Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you as Wives, you may now kiss the bride."

He didn't have to tell us twice. Ruby lifts my veil, revealing my crying face. I'm a little embarrassed at first but then Ruby puts her arms around my waist and gives me that signature Ruby smile that tells me I have nothing to be concerned about.

I put my hands on her arms as she pulled me closer, finally our lips came together, sealing our union and causing my heart to practically explode with joy.

"Ladies and Gentleman it is my privilege to introduce to you for the first time Mrs. and Mrs. Rose." Everyone immediately cheers and claps, throwing rice.

After the ceremony we all went into the grand hall next door for the reception. Ruby and I have the first dance of course but then the reception really kicks off and everyone pairs off and starts dancing. Ruby danced with both Yang and her Father. I dance with Winter and Klein.

Of course Jaune and Pyrrha are dancing, a lot better than I expected to be honest. Blake has two left feet when it comes to dancing and Yang has to basically take the lead constantly, it's pretty cute. Ren and Nora were practically stealing the show whenever they started dancing. Ren is a professional dancer after all and Nora is always his practice partner so she is no slouch.

Eventually it is time to cut the cake. Ruby and I cut the first slice of course, feeding a bite to one another. Yang thought it'd be funny to push Ruby just enough that she accidentally gives me a face full of cake. Ruby was very apologetic and any other day I'd be annoyed but I'm too happy today so I just laugh.

It was really fun but eventually it had to come to an end.

Ruby and I decide to change out of our dresses which we hand over to our respective Maids of Honor. After which we wave goodbye to everyone and head out by hopping onto Whiterose for the first time as a married couple.

Most couples wouldn't ride away from their wedding on a motorcycle but Ruby and I just love that bike way too much. I guess Yang's prediction way back when was sort of right, in a way I did become a bit of a 'biker chick'.

Whiterose had a big 'Just Married' sign stuck onto the back of her with long flowing ribbons blowing in the wind as we flew off down the road. I rested my head on Ruby's back and looked over at the setting sun on the horizon, it made the sea shine like diamonds against a crimson sky.

It was a beautiful sight, almost symbolic in a way. It was as if the sun was setting on mine and Ruby's old lives and tomorrow it will rise on a new beginning for us. One where Ruby is my wife. One where I am no longer Weiss Schnee but Weiss Rose.

As positively ecstatic as the thought makes me, I'll be honest, I am slightly anxious about the road ahead of us. I'm sure there will be tough times and challenges to overcome, but at that moment I am sure that Ruby and I can handle whatever life throws at us. As long as we are together we will be able to accomplish anything.

"I love you Weiss!" I hear Ruby shout over the sound of the motorbike. I can't help but smile even wider and hold onto her even tighter.

"I love you too Ruby!" I shout back. Yeah I am sure of it this is the beginning of the best chapter of my life. I'm glad I get to spend the rest of my…OUR story with her. My precious rose.
