AN: Here we go

Chapter 29

Courtney's POV

Bridal Boutique

February

12:00 PM

Taking deep breaths I keep my eyes closed waiting patiently as the buttons for my dress to be put...

" You okay in there? " asks Mom anxiously "Don't worry it looks great and still will, " says Gwen " Mommy you okay? " asks Serenity.

" Alright all done," said the sales consultant as she finished buttoning the back " You can look " she adds.

Slowly opening my eyes I gasped seeing my reflection I couldn't believe it...my dress looked perfect aside from some minor alterations I still loved it.

" Okay I'm ready " I announced turning around so that I could look at everyone as the curtain was pulled back everyone gasps "Does it look okay? " I asked getting nervous.

Mom wiped her eyes " Honey it looks stunning " she breathes smiling at me "It was meant for you " replied Gwen smiling but just then a cute little coo was heard making us laugh.

Gwen peeked into the stroller beside her to check on her 3-month-old daughter Nicole who looked exactly like Gwen but she had Trent's eyes.

" You like it too, " said Gwen picking up her daughter before feeding her a bottle " Mommy you look very pretty, " said Serenity coming up to me.

" Thank you, honey, do you think Daddy will like it? " I asked "Yeah " she answers happily.

Our wedding was 2 months away and time was flying faster than we anticipated, both of us agreed on a classy romantic vibe for the wedding.

So far what's been done and arranged we're the decor, flowers, tables and chairs settings, food, drinks, wedding cake, DJ ( not our friend ) invitations and as for our guest count oh boy did that get crazy we have 250 people that are coming.

It was a bit much but hey it happens. When we gave the number of guests to our parents they were shocked and both offered to help us pay for the wedding, even though it was very generous we thought it was too much.

But both my mom and Melinda put their foot down, saying that it was no issue, especially since family from both our sides were coming. James said that he didn't want us to get overwhelmed with costs, especially with so much coming our way after the wedding.

I'll admit up until now we've just been chill living our lives day by day but I guess when the wedding is over more is coming.

" Okay well need to bring it up just a bit and bring this in " explains the seamless carefully pinning "Does it feel real now? " asks Gwen putting the bottle down "Yes I'm feeling it now " I answered admiring my dress.

" Where is the veil? "Mom asked "Oh it's just right there, " I said pointing to the hanger "Let's see it, " said Mom smiling "Just a moment let them finish first " I laughed Mom was very excited about the wedding after Dads funeral we started talking more and she would come visit us.

She was even getting to know Duncan better and was bonding well with Serenity. All of us including Duncan's parents, brothers and their families spent Christmas at Mom's. It was so nice being able to have enjoyed the time together.

Once the dress was finished getting pinned I put the veil on and I couldn't help but cry I was having my bridal moment.

" Wow you're... you're a bride Courtney " cries Mom holding my hands "Thanks Mom " I breathed "If only Bridgette, Heather and Lindsey could be here, " said Gwen.

It's true I wished they were cause Bridgette was my maid of honour while Gwen, Heather and Lindsey were bridesmaids. But it was okay cause, Bridgette was feeling contractions starting so she and Geoff have been at the hospital since last night. Heather said she wasn't feeling good and was currently at home. And Lindsey well she forgot to meet us.

Definitely, a lot was going on but hopefully, by the time the wedding arrives, everyone will be okay.

Now I hope Duncan and the guys are okay at the tuxedo shop. And I better not see a skull.

Duncan's POV

Tuxedo Shop

Slipping my tuxedo jacket on I turn around and look in the mirror.

" Alright very nice if I do say so myself, " I said stepping out of the change room to see the guys in their suits "Looking good, " said Trent as he currently fixed Louis's bow tie "Yeah you clean up well, " says DJ smiling.

Checking myself out once again I was impressed by this suit, who knew it made you look so damn good. " guys it's happening the wedding is only 2 months away and I couldn't be anything but happy " I declared openly to everyone " when you're happy you express it " said Alejandro fixing his sleeves while Miguel looked himself in the mirror. He and Louis will be in charge of carrying the rings while Serenity and Millie are the flower girls.

This wedding was going to be something or what our moms call " the event of the year "We got a lot of guests coming, and once the invitations were sent out most of my family responded right away and even called to say how excited they were to get the invitation. Now with 250 people showing up things should get interesting.

" I've never been this happy in my life and I know we're already married but Courtney deserves this wedding the most, " I said to the guys showing a look of understanding, after everything she went through when I was away in jail, raising Serenity alone, her parents abuse. Now she's come a long way and next year she graduates.

Even myself I went from being a juvenile delinquent, constantly disappointing my parents, walking a road that had no future, went to jail, where I'm nearly stabbed to death but I survived and got a chance to change my life thanks to Coach. Now I'm a business owner of his auto shop and continuing on for him with everyone he helped. If I never met Coach I honestly wouldn't know where I would have ended up.

" Hey you also deserve this too," said DJ patting my back "Yes they say the bride is the important one and the groom just shows up but it's truly about a union between the two," said Alejandro surprising me by what he said " wow I didn't know you could sound so down to earth " I teased making the others laugh.

Suddenly a phone rung we each checked our own but it turned out to be myself and Alejandro's when I saw my screen I smiled in excitement I have kinda been sneaking around for this to make sure Courtney didn't find out, because this was something I know she would love especially when it was for all of us.

Me: Hello, please tell me some good news

?: I do indeed, they accepted the offer and we could get started signing some papers today

Pumping my fist in the air, not caring who looked

Me: Awesome, I'll be right over

?: Perfect and I'll also give you the keys

Me: You are making my day, see you soon

Hanging up I look turn to look at the guys "Everything good? " asks Trent curiously "Better than good, I better get out of my tux 'cause I got somewhere to go now " I replied going to the changing room.

4:00 PM

" Duncan where are you taking me? " asked Courtney who I currently had blindfolded in the passenger seat "Just wait I'm coming I've worked hard to plan this " I answered getting out and rushing to her side.

Thankfully Sophia was able to stay to watch Serenity for a bit, I really wanted to take Courtney to where we could start our family life together.

Opening the car door I help Courtney come out "Here careful " I said taking her hands and standing on the side as I close the door "You better have taken me somewhere weird " she says as we walk forward a bit "Trust me it's not " I answered stopping in a good spot.

Wrapping my arms around Courtney's waist she jumped " What are you doing? " she asks turning to me " I just wanna hold when you see what's in front of you because it's my wedding gift to you " I said kissing her cheek " take the blindfold off " I add watching her do what I asked.

Courtney's POV

When I took the blindfold off it took a moment for my eyes to adjust but what I saw only made tears come out of my eyes.

" Oh Duncan " I gasped looking at the beautiful house with a " SOLD " sign on the lawn "You got a house? " I asked turning to look at him " I bought us a house " he answers followed by wrapping my arms around his neck.

I thought I couldn't be any happier but this was making my life " I wanted us to have a place of our very own to start our life and I thought this would be perfect for us " explains Duncan smiling " do you like it? " he asks me as I look back at the house " I love it " I answered wiping my eyes.

Duncan leads me to the front door and unlocks it " Yup it's ours " he says opening the door followed by turning the lights on, I was just about to walk in but Duncan stops me " What? " I asked smiling at him "Gotta do it right," he says suddenly picking me up bridal style making me laugh " I get it, " I said holding his neck "Groom gotta carry his bride in," said Duncan winking at me before we go in.

This house was perfect it was big enough to have friends over, the living room was big, a nice dining room, the kitchen was a dream and it even had a little area for a breakfast table, there was an office, 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. Then the yard was incredible it had a beautiful wood deck and the yard was decent enough for Serenity to play.

The neighbourhood the house was located in was safe and quiet, it was still close to Duncan's shop, Serenity's school and the college. All in all, I couldn't have been more impressed, and to believe that he did this all on his own.

" Now we got enough space for our future babe," said Duncan as we stand in the living room "Yeah and even have family and friends over " I reply looking around the house " I can't believe you got us a house " I whimper getting emotional again, " I told you babe to just let me take care of you " he says caressing my face " I love you " I said before kissing him passionately.

How could I be so lucky to have this man in my life, I know we were just kids on a TV show trying to get through challenges to win but we ended up with something way better than a cash prize, we got each other. And soon our life together will start.
