(Also: I finally managed to get this chapter done, I had writer's block when it came to this chapter, because for a while I couldn't figure out where to go, and also, something that annoyed me, was a review on this story which mentioned that I was repeating what I had already established about the characters in the first chapter, well, that IS what I'm doing, taking what I had already worked on, and expanding it as best as I could, so yeah, screw that reviewer, here's the next chapter, enjoy!)
Chapter Four - Edd aka Double D
Out of the trio, no one stood out more academically than Edd aka Double-D, he managed to get an A in all subjects, even outshining the teachers, much to their annoyance, although when it came to Athletics, that was a tough one, while he didn't participate due to an incident that involved a dodge ball, he instead worked in a more behind the scenes role, helping the coaches get their teams to victory. He also was a part of several academic clubs, even tutoring fellow students who needed help with their schoolwork.
He still wore his hat, which despite many rumors, he actually wears due to severe anxiety, and also because of an injury he sustained due to a scam that went wrong, he recovered from said injury, but still wore the hat for some reason, probably the same reason that Johnny 2x4 still carries around Plank, but that is a story for another day.
As time went on, the trio slowly drifted apart, as they got interested in other activities, but they would occasionally get together for the inevitable scam, some in particular stand out, one scam involved prom night, and another involved a school prank that went awry due to them taking Rolf's pigs to school, and Rolf having a fit of rage against the trio, which didn't end well for them.
After graduating from high school, Double-D went to college, hitting the books, and studying hard to be the best in whatever field of work that he would pursue, he would also go to M.I.T. and graduate from there, later on he would be accepted to a high paying job that he found to be interesting, and beneficial to him.
While he maintained sporadic contact with his two pals, the friendship suffered a damaging blow when Eddy had written (or hired someone to ghostwrite) a tell all book about all of the scams that they had pulled off, while intrigued, his curiosity soon turned to anger, upon reading the book, he found that Eddy had taken credit for all of the scams, reading that it was Eddy himself who came up with all the ideas for said scams, although the book mentioned that Ed did most if not all of the grunt work, Double-D was mentioned in said book to having little to no involvement in any of the scams, only acknowledging that all he did was criticize and complain about the scams that failed miserably (example: jogging pants world, fridge land, bathroom world, etc), this is said to have really hurt Double-D, who felt betrayed by someone he considered a brother, this incident, along with an angry voicemail, caused him and Eddy to have a falling out, to this day the two of them don't really speak to each other, despite Ed's best efforts to reunite the trio.
His current whereabouts are not really known, but according to Ed, who still receives the occasional postcard, he mentioned that Double-D has a big important job now, while Ed's words are to be taken with a grain of salt, they also should be taken with some seriousness, but given Double-D's intelligence, this wouldn't really be a surprise to anyone.
