Chapter 2

Pushing Memories

"Watch out!"

Was all he heard as he turned his head towards the voice. He saw a light up ahead, he walked towards it hoping to find answers, memories that could connect to his past self but once he approached the light, all he saw was a blazing fire and destruction. Buildings eviscerated, fire spreading like wildfire. Chaos erupts from every corner of the ruined city. Izuku widened his eyes in horror as he took a step back as he tripped over something.

He fell and landed on his bottom, he looked at what he tripped over as he saw a body, burnt to a crisp. Unrecognizable to even know who it was.

"Ahh!"

Izuku jumped away as he stepped on something else, he heard a grueling crack as he turned to see a mountain of burning corpses behind him. Izuku could only stare at it in horror as he felt a presence behind him. He swiftly turned around only to see a woman floating above him. Her long white hair flowing through the air as she hovered above him. Dressed in a white battle dress that had black feathers attached to it. Her shoulders were exposed as she also had Black feathers wrapped around her neck.

Izuku's emerald eyes stared deep inside those cold orange hues that stared down at him. His head then started to sting in pain as voices started to drown his head. He looked at her as he saw a girl that had long bright purple hair but was wearing a completely different outfit than the first. Her outfit was very complex as she had an evil grin etched across her face.

All he heard from her was…

"Die, human-"

Izuku abruptly lifted himself upright as he breathed heavily in a panic, he held his chest as he tried to calm himself down. He rubbed his head as he looked at the time, it was 6:30 in the morning as he stared at the clock, he sighed as he got up from his bed.

"Again with these nightmares,"

Izuku looked out the window as he saw the sun barely visible through the clouds as he then yawned. He got out of bed as he looked at what date it was. April 16th, Tuesday, XXXX

Izuku couldn't believe that it had been four months since he moved here. Faith got him accustomed to the place as she registered him for school and also got him a job at a nearby Cafe by his apartment complex.

Izuku sighed as he then heard his phone ring. He looked at it as he saw who called him. He answered, "Dan? Why are you calling me so early,"

"Isn't it obvious, gotta show you around the school before class starts, you're new here so gotta get you accustomed to everything,"

Dan is his coworker that he met during his first day. Dan was a mystery to Izuku, because he would flirt with every girl he deems attractive but would get straight up rejected. He didn't know why Dan would keep going but he didn't question it.

"So come on! Get your butt here, hurry!"

"Doesn't class start at 8:15?"

He didn't get an answer as Dan hung up, Izuku just rubbed his nose as he grabbed his brand new uniform and pants along with a tie.

Izuku went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and change.

Today was his first day of school at Hashbul Private High School. The reason he was at a Private High School was that Faith and Henry agreed to put him in school because he was of age and now both the Forthbrights are paying for it.

Hence why Izuku got a job, to repay them once he gets out. Izuku didn't want them to pay for him but they were stubborn.

Izuku walked out of his bathroom as he was now in his uniform. He fixed his tie up a bit as he then headed towards his small kitchen. He opened the fridge to see that he was running out of food.

Izuku frowned as he grabbed a carton if eggs and a small bag of bacon.

"Guess this'll have to do,"

Izuku cooked his breakfast and then headed out of his apartment at 7:10.

Izuku was greeted by his neighbors, greeting them on the way. The streets were bust as people were also getting to school and work as well. Izuku was in the crowd as he was about cross a street until an alarm blared out.

He looked at the sound as he saw white beasts fly across the street. Izuku widened his eyes in shock as he saw Valkyries facing off against Honkai Beasts. People didn't seem to be bothered, as if it was a daily occurrence.

Some people were even cheering them on, Izuku saw people pumping their hands in the air shouting Valkyrie.

He then noticed someone familiar facing a couple of Honkai Beasts. Faith Forthbright, she explained what Honkai Beasts were and what Valkyries do. After that, Izuku did his own research after her telling him the gist of what was going on.

He then saw a massive Templar landed on a train track. Multiple Valkyries started to attack it as Izuku stared in awe.

"That's a big Hon-"

"That's a big Villian!"

Izuku widened his eyes as a voice came out of his mind, he shook his head as he held it.

"What was that?"

Before he could ask anymore he heard electricity sparking as he looked up again.

Time slowed down in an instant as he saw a red lighting racing towards the Templar. A woman with purple hair that was tied into a ponytail as she wore a red and black combat dress. Her blade was glowing red and radiating lightning. For that split second Izuku saw her eyes as he was stunned by her. Cold purple eyes that were so electrifying.

In that moment the Valkyrie split the head of the Templar in an instant. She landed behind it as she sheathed her sword. The beast was struck by a multitude of red lightning as it was eviscerated, leaving nothing behind it.

Izuku's eyes were sparkling in awe, "That was so cool…"

"Tell me about it, now come on we gotta get to school,"

Izuku blinked a bit as he turned to see Dan right next to him.

"When did you?"

"Got here 10 minutes ago, couldn't help but see you staring at the Valkyrie,"

Dan smirked, "So, does someone have a celebrity crush,"

Izuku looked at him bewildered, "What?! No! It's just that Valkyries are really strong and cool you know,"

Dan smirked, "Oh yeah, but you were only looking at the purple haired girl,"

Izuku just sighed as he didn't bother trying to argue with Dan. Ever since Izuku first met Dan, he would always tease the boy. Izuku got used to it over time.

"Come on, let's just go," Izuku started to walk towards the school.

"Alright, Alright," Dan followed behind. As the scene was getting cleaned up the purple haired girl dusted herself as she turned around to see a multitude of people staring at her in awe. She sighed as she heard her phone ring. She looked at it as she ignored it.

Raiden Mei was stationed at Hashbul City in order to find the irregular spike of energy that spiked four months ago but since her arrival with Raven, no spikes were detected. She was starting to wonder if the readings were miscalculated.

"You sure are strong from. What the reports say,"

Mei turned to see a blonde short haired woman standing in front of her as she smiled at the Herrscher.

Mei smiled as she walked up to the girl, "Didn't want anyone getting hurt,"

Faith laughed, "Certainly you didn't want that. Anyways I have to report this back to HQ, you're still not familiar with the city, I suggest going sightseeing with Raven,"

Mei pondered on the thought as she nodded, "I'll think about,"

Faith smiled, "Alright well I'll see you around,"

Faith then headed towards the rest of the Valkyries as Mei watched her.

Mei wanted to know if Faith was responsible for the strange energy signatures. But she can only wonder.

With Kiana

"Every step you take, you'll always hurt everyone around you, you're nothing more than a curse, a monster!"

Kiana closed her eyes as the black void completely surrounded her, filling every void that surrounded her. She wanted the voice to disappear. She wanted 'her' to stop tormenting her but it was no avail. Everytime she was at her lowest point, that monster would swoop in and try everything in her power to control her.

Kiana wanted it to stop as she opened her eyes but then it became quiet, she let go of her ears as she looked around until she saw a bright light. She looked towards it as she saw a bright multicolored flame. She stepped towards it as she was entrapped by the beauty of the flame.

She reached out towards it until she heard voices coming out of it.

"This is the end of humanity, the end shall fall upon you wretched beings,"

Kiana saw a burning city as death and destruction was all she could see. She saw people losing hope and people that were dead.

Kiana widened her eyes in horror; she then looked up in the air to see a woman that looked similar to her. The monster that caused all of this, the Herrscher of the End.

This is what you will become, and will be your future soon enough

Kiana fell to her knees as she wanted nothing more than to disappear. All she heard was cries of the people surrounding her.

She then heard a footstep as she turned to see a masked figure wearing a green suit and a yellow scarf. She couldn't see their faces or why they were standing.

They marched towards the monster as the Herrscher stared down at the figure.

"I won't let it be the end, this isn't our end, I won't let it,"

Kiana widened her eyes as the next words shocked her.

"I'll make our own future!"

Kian woke up in shock as she sat up quickly, she breathed heavily as she was wondering what kind of dream that was.

"Kiana, are you alright,"

She looked to her side to see Fu Hua, worried.

"It seems you had a nightmare,"

Kiana slowly nodded as she was trying to grasp what she saw.

"I'll let you be but there is breakfast waiting for you, Bronya, Seele. And Theresa are waiting for you,"

Kiana nodded as Fu Hua left her room.

"Who… was that…"

With Izuku

"This is Izuku Forthbright, he'll be joining us from now on, go ahead take a seat by Dan,"

Izuku nodded as he walked towards where Dan was seated.

"Lucky that you get to sit next to someone you're familiar with huh," Dan whispered.

"That's because you volunteered to show me around,"

Dan just waved him off as the teacher started to begin class sessions.

"Alright, this is your last year of high school so it's best to start thinking about what to do with your life, though some of you have capabilities to be a Valkyrie, the rest need to start thinking about what you're going to do,"

Izuku looked at the notebook that he was about to write in. He stared at it as he wrote on the top of the page.

'Future plans'

Izuku looked at it in deep thought, what happens if he remembers everything, what then? What will he do with those memories once he's found out who he is?

Izuku worth down the following words, 'To remember who I am,'

Izuku looked to his right to see Dan was asleep, completely ignoring the teacher. Izuku sighed as he continued to looka t the teacher and the rest of the class.

Everyone knew who they were and what they were going to do but him, it's like he just started, he didn't know where he came from or what he was before his amnesia. He wanted to know who he was so badly.

He felt alone in the world, completely lost. But the feeling of loneliness wasn't a stranger to him, he felt this feeling before. Being left out, not knowing where to go or what to do, being drifted apart from the world itself.

Izuku then heard the bell ring as he snapped out of his thought as he heard Dan jump from his seat as he looked at the latter.

Dan yawned a bit as he looked at Izuku, "What's up man, you look like you lost your dog or something,"

Izuku was about to speak until, "Mr. Forthbright, I need to speak with you,"

Izuku nodded as he got up from his seat and followed the teacher.

As they were in the halls the teacher turned to Izuku, "I heard from Faith that you have amnesia and that you're trying to get your memories back,"

Izuku nodded as he continued to listen.

"I know that it's hard to try to fit in since you just trying to find yourself, remember you can ask me for help if you need anything,"

Izuku smiled, "Thank you sir, I keep that in mind,"

The teacher nodded, "Alright, continue on, your next period is about to start,"

Izuku walked back inside as he sat down as Dan leaned towards him, "So what happened?"

"Oh just something about my amnesia," Izuku answered.

Dan nodded, "Ah don't worry about Izuku, your memories will come back to you in no time man,"

Izuku smiled and nodded as he heard the classroom door open as everyone stood up and bowed. They then seated back down as Izuku continued with his thoughts,

'The future…I wonder…what was I like in the past?'

Izuku looked at his scarred right hand as he couldn't help but wonder…what did he do that made his hand mess up so badly?

With Kiana

The Hyperion was on its way to Hashbul City as Kiana stared out into the window as she saw the clouds passing by as she couldn't help but look at the bright sky.

Kiana couldn't help but wonder what she dreamed about, The Herrscher of the End and someone else challenging the end. Someone who was brave enough to even go up against a God.

Kiana didn't know what to make of the dream.

"Kiana?"

She turned to see Seele behind her.

"Seele? What's up?"

Seele was twiddling her thumbs as she couldn't really muster up the words.

"Y-y-you look sad, is something bothering you?"

Kiana softly smiled, "I'm fine, promise! See?"

She gave her brightest smile possible as Seele smiled a little, "Okay, during the meeting, you looked out of it,"

"Yeah, just had a nightmare but I'm fine now, thanks for asking,"

Seele smiled as she walked away. Kiana waved bye at her, once Seele was out of sight Kiana frowned as she leaned towards the railing looking at the sky again.

She sighed as she couldn't help but think of her friend that parted ways with her. She closed her eyes as a tear dropped on the floor.

With Izuku

Izuku walked with Dan as the latter stretched his back, "Gaaahhh, finally I thought school was never going to end,"

Izuku didn't respond, he was in too much thought, thinking about the future. He kept looking at the floor, wondering if he'll ever find the answer.

"Hey Izuku, you look down again," Dan pointed out.

Izuku looked at his friend, "Oh uh, well it's just I can't stop thinking about what happens when I get my memories,"

Dan stayed silent as he looked at Izuku with worry, "Will I be a completely different person than I am now or the same and what happens after that, what am I going to do once I get those memories back?"

Dan then smacked the back of his head as Izuku's eyes widened.

"Ow! Hey what was that for?!"

"You're overthrowing about this too much man, come on man you can't rush these things man, I'm sure you'll be fine once you get those memories back, so stopping worrying about what happens in the future and be in the present man,"

Izuku looked at Dan in shock, he looked down again as he nodded, "Yeah… I guess you're right,"

"Damn straight I am now come on let's go hangout, get your mind off of it, how bout the arcade,"

Izuku smiled as he nodded, "Sure,"

"That's the spirit!" Dan shouted as he hit Izuku on the back.

"So what should we play over there, I still need to beat you in that fighting game. Don't know how you're so good at it?"

Izuku shrugged, "Don't know, luck I guess?

"Bullshit, I think it's-"

Before Dan could finish, a red and white beam of light slammed down on a crossway as it caused a massive shockwave throughout the entire city.

Dan and Izuku were blown off their feet as they looked at the strange beam. Izuku felt his head start to hurt, as if a knife was just jabbed into his brain.

Izuku then heard the alarm go off, "Honkai Beasts?! Now?!" Dan exclaimed.

Izuku got up as he saw people running away, he looked at the beam as Honkai Beast started to pour out of it. He looked at Dan as he got him up.

"Dan, we need to get out of here now!"

"R-Right!"

They both ran with the people as Izuku turned to see a Ganesha that was all black and had blue outlines, it was bigger than what he read about them.

"Look! The Valkyries are here!" Someone screamed out.

Everyone cheered as they all watched as a squadron of Valkyries flew towards the Honkai Beasts.

He then noticed a familiar blonde-haired woman with the squadron.

"Hey Izuku! It's Faith!"

She had a spear in her hand as she motioned her teammates. They all split as a couple of Valkyries approached the crowd, "Everyone please evacuate immediately"

Everyone listened as they ran away from the scene. Izuku followed everyone else but then a loud roar echoed through the city as he turned to see the Ganesha signaling the Honkai Beast as they listened and started running towards the civilians.

Everyone panicked as they split. Chaos ensued as people started to run away. The Valkyries tried to hold them off but some of them slipped through and chased the civilians.

Izuku watched as he noticed Dan wasn't by him anymore.

"Dan? Dan! Where are you!"

Before he could do anything else an Archangel came soaring at him. Izuku widened his eyes as he put his hands up in defense. Not knowing that his arms started to glow, red streaks that outlines his veins started to appear.

But the Archangel couldn't get to him as it was cut in half.

Izuku didn't feel anything as he put his arm down to see Faith in front of him.

"Izuku get out of here now!"

"I can't leave without Dan!"

"I'm sure Dan got caught up in the Chaos, I'm sure he's smart enough to go to the nearest shelter, don't worry he's fine now get out of here,"

Izuku nodded as he started to run.

Faith got ready as she started at the many Honkai Beast that were appearing, "What the hell is going on here,"

Izuku ran as fast as he could as he saw many Honkai Beast invading the city. People running away as he didn't stop, he just kept going but then a Templar appeared in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. It's lance about to implement Izuku but he dodged it in time as he ran again. Only for a huge explosion to happen. Knocking the wind out of him as he flew a few feet.

This caused Izuku's vision to blur as he saw people running away, not bothering to help him. He tried to get up as he watched cars and buildings on fire. The city is almost in shambles.

Izuku then saw a Ganesha, not the same size as the one before but its size was nothing to laugh at. Izuku felt fear coursing through his body as he tried to crawl away.

The Ganesha rampaging through the city. Causing havoc and destruction, screams of the people were heard.

"I need to get out of here before-!"

"Ow!"

"Ow!"

Izuku froze as he turned his head behind him. He saw a little girl in front of the incoming Ganesha, her leg stuck underneath debris from the buildings.

Izuku stared in horror, too many people running away, not paying attention. Only one was screaming for that child, her mother crying for her.

Izuku felt like time froze in place, everything stopped in his vision, focusing on the little girl and the mother.

"Why is no one trying to help them? Someone, anybody, save them! A Valkyrie! Yeah a Valkyrie will come but they're too busy, too many people are scared, no one is paying attention…!"

Ganesha looked at the little girl as it started to stomp towards her.

Izuku widened his eyes, "She's going to die!"

He felt his heart beat faster than usual, blood pumping throughout his body.

"Someone save my daughter!"

Zzzt!

"There are stories of many heroes, of how they became great…"

He got up and ran but not with everyone, where everyone was too afraid, too afraid to look. No he ran towards the Ganesha, no not at the beast.

"But most have one thing in common…"

Izuku was running towards the girl…

"Their body's moved before they had a chance to think,"

The girl that needed saving!

Izuku was in a full sprint, racing towards the girl. He ran as fast he could, every ounce of his energy poured into his legs, his arms, his core. He felt his whole body gaining energy unlike anything he felt before, no he has felt this before. In the forest, when he was attacked by those wolves.

But this feeling was different from that time, this was not the feeling to survive but to save those in need!

"Go…9th"

"You too, can become a hero,"

A green lightning zoomed through the street. Like a flash of light that is unable to track with the human eye. The green lighting then collided with the Ganesha, causing a clash between the two. But the green light was so strong that it sent the Ganesha flying back within seconds. Sending it on his back, the shockwave was so strong that it felt like the whole world shook once the green lightning appeared.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

The computer system was going haywire as Theresa, a small girl with white hair, watched as her systems were completely going crazy.

"What the! It's the same energy but stronger than the spike four months ago,"

Theresa noticed a massive spike in the city as she then looked out the window to see a green flash in the city.

"Is that…the new Herrscher?"

Izuku fell on his back as he gasped for air.

"Graaagh! What…just happened…"

He saw the Ganesha on its back as it started to disintegrate. "Wha…what did I… just do…"

Izuku looked at his hands as there was a faint glow and green electricity dancing around his arm. But it disappeared as soon as his body started to relax. He didn't know what he did, all he wanted to do was save the girl but everything blacked out from there and now the beast was dead and he was not where he originally was.

He then heard the girl sniffling and crying. He sighed in relief that the girl was alright but she was too scared to open her eyes.

Izuku got up as he tried to walk towards her. But he then felt his head completely ache, as if a hundred needles were jabbed into his head all at the same time.

He held his head in pain, "Graaaagh!"

"Young man you too, can become a hero"

"I want to save people with a smile!"

"I wanna be a pro!"

"I will save you!"

"Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being —!"

"I can't ignore the boy who was crying inside"

"W-what…who's there, where…" Izuku asked as he held his head, voices kept pounding his head but one came out more clear and louder than the others.

"Humanity won't end, I won't let it, I'll create the future for them, they deserve to create their own end, their own story!"

Izuku gasped for air as he held his chest in shock. He noticed that the girl was still trapped as he shrugged off the pain. As he walked towards the girl.

The latter still had her eyes shut but then she felt the rubble lift off of her leg as she looked up to see Izuku.

He softly smiled and brought out his hand, "Don't worry, you're going to be fine,"

The girl's eyes brightened, as if she saw a hero but then it turned into horror. Izuku noticing this as he turned to see a Templar and a couple Chariots and a swarm of Archangels.

Izuku widened his eyes as he held the girl close, covering her, using his body as a shield. Closing his eyes, preparing himself for the onslaught but it never came, he then heard a loud crackling sound as the sound of thunder was heard. A massive red lightning slammed on the horde of Honkai Beasts.

Izuku opened his eyes as he turned his head to see a red lighting slamming down on the beast, completely destroying everyone of them.

Izuku watched in awe as he noticed a figure walking out of the lightning, he widened his eyes in shock and awe as the person walked out. Long beautiful purple hair flowed behind her as her posture was like lightning and thunder itself. Elegant and fierce, her eyes glowing in a red and purple hue. Her horns make her stand out more.

Her katana glowing red and purple as she sheathed it in her scabbard.

She continued to walk towards Izuku as the latter couldn't move, his eyes couldn't peel away from her, as if watching the queen gracing her presence to him.

While this was happening, at the Schicksal HQ a certain test subject felt the power surge, he awoke as his eyes saw the multi-colored light in the distance.

"One…for…all…"

Otto heard this as his eyes widened in shock as he smiled intently.

"One for All…? Where have I heard that from?"
