School Days: A New Life – (Sekai Route)
Episode 5 – First Experiences and Desires– Part 2
And so by the next day, I was there waiting at the door for Sekai at around 7:50. Everyone passed me by including some of the girls who greeted me warmly.
At 8:00 I saw Sekai who approached me and hugged me, despite a few eyes pointed our way she didn't seem to care.
"Hello there." I said embracing her.
"Good morning." She said with a smile.
"Well I'm here as promised, but now we have 30 minutes before class starts, so what do you want to do?" I inquired.
"Let's walk, if you don't mind… can we go to where we first confessed?" Sekai asked with a blush.
"That's a little bit away, are we going to be able to make it back in time for class?" I asked remembering how far away that quiet courtyard was before when I went to find her a few weeks back.
"T-true… then let's go over here. By the stairs, a lot of people don't go there." Sekai pointed out.
I guess she meant the area underneath the stairs we took to the roof; "Sure, sure… lead the way."
"Yeah… Cal, I have told you how much I like you?" She said cutely.
"Yes, plenty of times." I reply with a smile as she giggles.
We find the spot in question and were relieved to find no other students or for that matter couples nearby to interrupt us.
"So there's something I wanted to ask you about." Sekai began as she sat by my side, she fidgeted a little.
"Yeah, what is it?" I asked her.
"I was just wondering, do you want to go out on a date this weekend?" Sekai dropped a bomb on me.
"Eh? A date…?" She really did catch me off guard with that one.
"I know it's a little sudden, but my Mom recently got these coupons for some shops in Sakakino-chou. And you know…" She muttered at the end, rather cutely though.
"Oh, jealous that Kotonoha got to go before you?" I teased her.
"N-no, I just finally found a good chance here was all. And you and Katsura are on first-name basis?" Sekai pointed out.
"Well we have been friends, and I learned a while back her place actually isn't that far from the apartment complex I live at with my Mom. So we sometimes walk to the station together to meet Makoto. We all ride the same line." I explain.
"Hmm… lucky…" She droned out.
"Hey now, I'll have you know I miss you too you know." I answer her trying to take her mind off things.
"Then I guess to make up for it you HAVE to take me out this Saturday." Sekai's energy returned with aplomb. Tricky little…
"Fine, fine… so when should we meet up?" I ask her.
"Let's me up at Pure Burger at 2, then we'll take the train to Sakakino-chou together. The coupons are for the arcade, mall, and tickets for an indoor-theater at the mall too." Sekai explained what deals she got.
"Alright. I'll make sure to bring some of my allowance I've been saving up. But for now…" We then heard the 5-minute bell ring.
"Well, school first… let's go now." I say to her.
"Yeah." She replies as we head back to class.
With classes out of the way, everyone makes their way for lunch as the bell for their one hour of freedom goes by.
"Cal, let's go outside for lunch." Sekai says turning around.
"Yeah, coming." I reply as the both of us head outside, but even then I look out of my peripheral vision as I can see Nanami, Hikari and Kiyoura all either smirking, giving me a thumbs up or in one's case giving me a V for Victory sign. Embarrassing… but at this point typical of them.
As Sekai and I are headed for lunch we see Kotonoha passing by, we both wave and greet her as she carries a rather large bento box with her.
"Kotonoha, is all that… food?!" Sekai said with surprise.
"Y-Yes… I made enough for me and Makoto to share since I know he always gets bread from the cafeteria; I wanted to make him something. But this time I brought hot tea instead of lemonade. Are you two…?" She immediately can tell our own intentions.
"Yeah, we were heading out right now. You two have fun ~" Sekai playfully waves her off as Kotonoha goes to meet up with Makoto.
We reach the courtyard and luckily no else is there as we head for the bench and sit down preparing to eat our lunches.
Just like Kotonoha, it appears Sekai made some extra as well as her pack has an extra tin of rice balls inside. Opening my own, I had a typical bento that my mother made. Which was rare since even my mom was adjusting to cooking typical Japanese cuisine here.
Although lucky for us, the market nearby sells your average ingredients you find at any supermarket so that's a plus. But back to more important things…
"Here, want an extra rice ball? I made them myself." Sekai said with a flush as she handed me half the rice balls.
I bit into one of them and immediately I could taste something familiar about them. This tangy flavor… was this…?
"I know American style stuff isn't my forte, but I tried my best from what my Mom taught me from her business trips learning from American restaurants. So she showed me how to make American barbecue sauce and pork." Sekai recounted with a smile.
"It's delicious." I said happily.
"Really?!" Sekai inquired happily.
"Yeah, it really is tangy and the flavors just the same like before… Thank you, Sekai."
"Ahehe, anytime. You know I told you about my Mom own's her own restaurant it's very busy during the summer. You know though… you could come visit the place if you ever want to?" Sekai offered.
Remembering the rather… "revealing" outfits that Radish employees wore just me imagining Sekai wearing that drove multiple images into my mind for once my own mental defenses faltered as I couldn't help but imagine her in different poses and whispering sweet nothings to me…
"Cal…"
"Hey, look at me…"
"Do you want a bath, dinner… or me? ~"
However, just as quickly as some things start they end just as fast as I feel a twist and pinch on my leg as Sekai looks at me with a pout and frown as I think she instantly put two and two together on what I was thinking.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow…!" I whined.
Her red flushed face greeted me as I looked at her, "You were thinking of dirty thoughts of me… weren't me?"
Unable to deny it, I look down in shame and confess my crime, "I… Yes…"
"Pervert, dirty, depraved…" She said harshly, but then immediately smiled a few seconds afterwards.
"But… so long as it's just me… I guess it's fine." She said. "But just because it's from you."
"Y-Yes…" I reply nervously.
"But still you have to be punished, so on our date you have to pay for everything." Sekai gave me an ultimatum.
"Ah, all my allowance…" I whined.
"Ara, so your allowance is more important then…?" Sekai began to tease me, but I capitulated.
"Alright, alright… I'll pay for everything… down to the last bit of change." I reply.
"Good. This is gonna be fun!" She cheers.
"For one of us… I'm so sorry." I say the last part to myself as I pull out my wallet filled with leftovers of my allowance that I didn't spend in the last few weeks. All in all, I had about 5,600 Yen in my wallet. Not much I know, but if I play my hand right with this date then hopefully my wallet why won't feel… completely light by the end.
"I… really can't wait for this weekend. I wish it were Friday already…" I hear Sekai whine.
"It's only two days away, calm down." I try to console her as she leans into me. When she does that I can smell what seems like, lavender? Is she wearing perfume or something?
"Hey, Cal… you know, if you want to…" Sekai seems nervous as she speaks softly in my ear. Her eyes look slightly puffy as I look at them but no tears stain her eyes.
"Yeah, what is it?" I ask her.
"You can… touch me if you want." She tells me.
"Eh?!" I say in slight shock, but she tries to recover seeing it.
"I mean, only if you want to! I know we've only been dating for a few days, but ever since I liked you, I've not been able to help myself. You don't have to… like I said." Sekai says.
I can tell she's been struggling with this for a bit. I know among both Sekai and Kotonoha, ther former is the more aggressive one when it comes to intimacy and sex. But I never suspected she was this restless. Can I really deny her like this?
I mean I've never really been like that with a girl even before I got into college before… but seeing my girlfriend like this. I can't like her feel like this, especially since I know if it's left unchecked.
"If you want to… you can sit in my lap." I reply.
"Really?" I nod and she does so sitting in my lap our legs crossing as we both look deeply into each other's eyes, she breaths heavily and I begin to feel a bit nervous just like her as well.
"Hah… ha… Cal…"
"Aaah… Sekai…"
And with that our faces come closer, and our lips come together as Sekai wraps her arms around my neck as we kiss passionately for the first time.
"Mwah… Nhaah… Haaah…"
"Nnnh… Ahn… Nngh…"
We both moan into the other's mouth as the passion accelerates as my hands approach the small of her back and begin to slowly caress her body as we continue to kiss. As we continue I begin to feel her try to extend her tongue inside, I reply in kind as we both fight for dominance.
But just as we begin to get into it and my hands almost begin to caress the lower part of her back, we hear the bell ring as it interrupts our make-out session. We separate, as a trail of saliva leaves proof of our deed.
"Cal… you were amazing." Sekai says as she breaths heavily again.
"You too. That… was my first real kiss." I embarrassingly confess.
"I was… your first kiss?" Sekai says surprisingly.
"Well I've never had a beautiful girlfriend before so…" I say with a teasing smile.
"Mou… you meanie…" Sekai says in a sad tone.
"Don't be like that. Come on, let's go. We didn't even touch our lunch that much because of that. Whose fault do you think that is?" I tease her some more.
"Meanie… meanie…" She continues to whine.
"Come on…" With that we wrap up our boxes and head back to class.
But little did we know that just on the roof, where we all used to have lunch that something wasn't going very well…
A new day begins, and to my surprise once again Kotonoha joins me on a walk to the station, but she looks down for some reason; she'd been much happier and more energetic in these past few weeks just before me and Sekai were a thing. What happened?
Wait… did Makoto… Oh no… I forgot about all the stuff on the roof! The moment became vivid in my head as I remembered he came onto her too strongly one day while they were having lunch. It was after one of their dates to the movies again.
That idiot… how does he think going from hand holding to intimate hug on a girl like Kotonoha would be that easy?
Before anyone calls me a hypocrite. I have to point out that Sekai and Kotonoha are two different people, with two very different personalities.
"Kotonoha, are you okay?" I try to tap her shoulder to get her attention, but then she suddenly yelps and backs away.
"Kyah!" She notices my touch and backs away. "C-Cal. I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I apologize."
"No, no I shouldn't have done that so suddenly. But are you okay? You seem… jumpy." I pointed out the obvious as indirectly as I could.
"Yes… Makoto, he… hugged me yesterday very tightly." She told me honestly what happened.
"Did you let him or did he suddenly just do it?" I asked, though of course I knew the answer already.
"He just, hugged me from behind suddenly. I mean, it felt good for a moment since I knew it was Makoto, but then he told me that I smelled nice and that he loved me, but even still… it was so sudden… at some point I didn't like it." She explained to me in detail how she felt.
"Hah, I'm sorry to hear that. But did Makoto say anything afterwards?" I ask her wanting to know his reply.
"He said that we had more time… since lunch hadn't ended yet." Kotonoha said.
Damn it all Makoto.
"But still I know he didn't mean it, so I sent him a text telling him I was sorry for bring so sudden myself when I told him 'No.' Kotonoha continued, but still I was always confused at her apology at this juncture.
In this situation she had nothing to apologize for, it was Makoto's actions that started all of this.
"What did he say then?" I waited with a bit of bated breath.
"He said… to not worry about it." Kotonoha replied. Well if I remember right that was kind of the "good option" in the choices since Katsura seem to come to the conclusion that he may have been understanding.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid now, I shouldn't let it get to me like this. I got my own stuff to deal with now as well.
"But then…" Wait there's more!?
"When we went on the train together… Makoto he… *Sob*… he touched my chest." Kotonoha began to tear up a little bit. I remembered that part. But if I remember that one that was a complete accident since Makoto I think was pushed or the train bumped sending Makoto into her.
Geez, I don't know what to think…
"Well still…" I hand her a handkerchief and wipe her eyes gently as she seems to calm down for a moment and compose herself.
"Are you going to be okay?" I ask her.
"Yes, but I do hope this doesn't ruin our ride to school." She returns with a small smile of her own which I return.
"Yeah, let's get to the station." I say as we arrive and greet Makoto who obviously looks uncomfortable with what happened before. I try to act normally, so he doesn't think I know anything. Not like I couldn't though…
"G-good morning." Makoto says nervously.
"Good morning." Kotonoha says normally.
"Morning" I greeted.
"N-nice day, isn't it?" Makoto says trying to start a conversation.
"It is." Kotonoha happily replies. Deciding to leave them to it, I rest by the wall on the other side when suddenly a few moments later a bump in the road knocks Kotonoha into Makoto who tries to grab her but remembering the other day she jumps back.
But as she does she accidentally lands in my arms with me trying to prevent her from falling, seeing me though she stops and turns back to Makoto, "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…"
"It's okay…" But just as Makoto tries to approach her Kotonoha suddenly embraces me as she shirks away from him even putting her face in my chest, I suppose finding some kind of safety in my arms. Making this situation rather… uncomfortable for all involved.
"I'm… sorry." She says to Makoto.
"It's… fine." He says uncomfortably. As I try to have Kotonoha let go I feel suddenly that she has a grip on my blazer unwilling to let go of the fabric. Although I know I should pry her off, doing so felt wrong for some reason as she might see it as some kind of aggression.
So I have no choice but to leave her be.
But little did I forget a certain girl was seeing all of this take place…
For the rest of the ride to school all three of us are silent…
As we got to school, Kotonoha ran off ahead of us as me and Makoto silently stride towards class. Sekai was already in her seat waiting for us.
"Morning." She replies with her usual smile.
"M-Morning." We both reply lukewarmly.
"Cal… Makoto?" She says confused at our dour moods. I couldn't say anything just uncomfortable near the guy who's girlfriend by all accounts just rejected him and to an outsider seemed to prefer being with another dude.
Shit… this felt like some perfect storm for an old-fashioned rumor mill to start circulating. And little did I know how close to home it would hit…
As I was resting trying to clear my head Hikari had dragged Sekai out to the hall to speak with her…
(Hallway)
"You know I overslept and that's why I was late today, so I had to ride a different line today/." Hikari said.
"Yeah, and…?" Sekai asked why this was important.
"Well, you know, the line I got onto was different but then I saw Itou and Callahan." Hikari started explaining.
"…Uh-huh" Sekai didn't see where this was exactly going.
"But when I saw them, I saw that girl from the other class… what was it class 1-4. The quiet one. She was between both boys." Hikari said.
"Eh… Yeah, I know." Sekai replied.
"He and that girl, well it looked like she and Itou were being really awkward. But then suddenly she jumped into Callahan's arms and even got closer too." Hikari finally revealed the juicy bits.
"Eh, w-what did you say?!" Sekai was now shocked to here this.
"Maybe she had enough of what Itou was doing and she's been putting the moves on Callahan because she hates Itou… How nasty! I knew he wasn't trustworthy." Hikari said the last part with a bit of venom.
"I-I don't think that's all of it. Maybe you're wrong." Sekai couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"But I saw it all, she looked like she was rejecting Itou and was making a move on Callahan. You could tell just by looking. Your boyfriend's cheating on you behind your back, I tried to tell you…"
"No! He'd never do that!" Sekai bluntly denies Hikari's claims any further.
"Hey you two, it's time for homeroom!" Their homeroom teacher, Yamamoto sternly warned them.
"Ah crap, Yamamoto…" Hikari panicked. While Sekai silently walked back in still a bit upset.
But yet again, another little eavesdropper wearing a yellow headband couldn't help but hear what she just heard as she headed back to her classroom… Class 1-4.
And so class continues on, as it does so Sekai despite her objections before can't get what Hikari said out of her mind as she imagines the scenario as she described it. But in her heart she just knew it wasn't true.
She knew Cal, he wasn't that type of person and during lunch she'd get her answers…
As the bell rang, she turned towards Cal and asked him point blank, "Cal, can you come with me?"
"Huh, sure…" I replied as I followed her outside.
We went towards the area of the stairs where no other students were in earshot as she turned and point blank asked me, "Cal, did something happen this morning?"
"What do you mean?" I asked her. How did she… wait a minute… that damn squid rings, I'll cut her hair for this.
Lying was definitely NOT an option in this scenario and so I began to lay out the events of what happened in order from Kotonoha's account of what happened yesterday, to how Kotonoha had been all that morning and what specifically happened on the train instead of Hikari's sensationalized version of events.
"See? I'd never do something like that…" I said apologetically.
"Never?" She wanted me to reassure her.
"Of course." I said.
"Really, really?" She said now feeling wanting more.
"You idiot." Now wanting to play her game, I did what I never thought I did, and I kissed her suddenly. She initially reacted with surprise but only a few moments later she relented and melted into the kiss.
"Idiot, does that answer your question?" I told her.
"Mmmm… one more ~" She asked for one more kiss. Which I acquiesced as we kissed for a few more seconds.
Separating once more she was now smiling as she was back to normal. But just as we were about to go back to the classroom to eat around the corner came a concerned face…
One, Makoto Itou…
AN#1 – Well here's the second part of my School Days remake in this fifth episode, First Experiences and Desires, in this midway point, Sekai and Cal have their first real moment of intimacy and trouble already brewing, but is quickly put down.
But now more arrives in the form of a worried Makoto Itou, what might happen now? Things are still moving according to how it all should go, but who knows?
