Hi!

I am really enjoying this story! I'm so close to finishing it and I'm fairly certain it will all be posted and completed by Christmas or at the very least, January. I really hope that everyone is liking this story so far and without further ado, I want to say:

I hope you enjoy!

The last thing that Ant had heard over his communicator was his dad repeating something at Finn and then his Mother saying something, followed by a load of bashing sounds. So, it came as a surprise when he heard Hammerhead's yelling. It was mostly just a loud, undistinguished mass of noise and yelling when he suddenly heard, "Just slice it off the hinge and crack it open!"

Upon hearing this, he jumped up quickly and yelled into his communicator, "No! Don't do that!" his voice was accompanied by his mum's, his dad's and he was fairly certain he could pick out Fontaine expressing her concern there somewhere.

"What! No! Do, do that! Get us out of here! Now!" Madeline interrupted, grabbing Ant by his arm to speak directly to his communicator.

Ant pulled out of her grip quickly, fixing the young pirate a death stare, which she quickly returned, although he mostly tried to ignore it and listen to what was now going on over the comms.

"What'd ya do that for? Don't you want to get out of here?" Madeline yelled angrily.

"Alive? Yes! If your dad 'slices it off the hinge and cracks it open' the clam's muscles will spasm and we'll be crushed! I don't know about you but I have a list of things that I want to do and I refuse to die until I have crossed 'getting Jeffrey to come spelunking with me' off my list," Ant yelled back, hearing his mother explain something similar to the pirates.

Madeline seemed to just freeze up at this and she settled down in a dark corner of the clam, as far away from Ant as she could get and, to Ant's surprise, she was silent for the first time since they had been enclosed in the giant clam.

"Mum!" Ant said to his communicator after a moment.

Ant's voice appeared over the radio.

"Mum!"

Kaiko looked up from her momentary daze of concentration and focused on her communicator.

There was a moment of silence as Kaiko registered what has been said.

"Mum?" Ant asked again, "You there?"

" Yeah, sorry Ant, how are you doing? " Kaiko replied.

"Actually, a lot better now that someone has stopped talking," Ant responded, "How's it going out there?"

There was another moment of silence as Kaiko surveyed the scene before her.

Will and Hammerhead were arguing over something, neither looking particularly impressed with the other while Fontaine was trying hard to ignore Finn's incessant flirting.

"Erm, we could be doing better," Kaiko commented before saying much more confidently," but we will get you out, so don't worry, you'll be fine, we'll get you both out,"

"I hope you're right, I've only got, " there was a short pause before Ant continued with, " about 2 hours of air left, maybe a bit more, give or take,"

" You'll be fine, Ant, don't worry, " Kaiko assured before suddenly turning to the mess in front of her which would soon have to become a somewhat organised rescue team for her son and the pirate that had put him in the dangerous situation.

"ALRIGHT!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, causing even the pirates to give their attention, "Hammerhead, shut up, Will, leave him alone and Finn, get away and stay away from my daughter, Fontaine, get me an update on the volcano,"

There was some sound of protest from Hammerhead and a pink glow lightly poisoning Finn's face, accompanied by an irritating grin but Kaiko's face soon put an end to their protests.

I hope you liked it. Next chapter should hopefully be up soon!
