A/N hey guys I'm back with chapter 3 of the sequel to Young Guns Thor The Regulator I hope you guys are enjoying this story even though I haven't seen any comments/Reviews so I don't even know if you guys are even checking this story out or not but hopefully you are most of story will be told mostly in Thor's POV but I'll also try and include Chavez's POV as well so just thought I'd let you guys know that so without further ado here's chapter 3. On The Run and I don't own any of the Young Guns characters just Thor the German Shepherd dog alright enjoy chapter 3 On The Run
Chapter 3. On The Run
Thor's POV: we made it to Juarez and to Beaver Smith's Tavern we walked in and sat down at a table I laid down on the floor beside Chavez's chair I laid my head down sighing and whining softly Chavez must of heard me whining because I felt his hand on my head I affectionately licked his hand when I heard Doc speak up
"Billy where are the men you promised us? "I thought you said you have an army? Doc asked
I do here it comes Billy replied
I looked up and over and saw two men one of them was a Mexican man and other wasn't he was holding a saw off shotgun Billy approached the Mexican man asking about any more people joining the gang I guess I sat up and rested my head on Chavez's lap and he gently petted him ever since we left California I've been clinging to Chavez and I think Chavez could sense it as he always tried to reassure me that everything will be alright but I had my doubts about everything being alright
You a farmer? Dave asked the man with the shotgun
Yes sir my name is Hendry William French the man replied
You ever shoot anything before Hendry William French? Dave being sarcastic then Hendry shook his head no
You ever shoot anything before? Chavez asked
A sage hen Hendry replied
I let a out a huff I could not believe it this guy only shot a sage hen I had hoped he'd realize what gang he's getting involved with I heard Hendry say that he had lost his wife to the pox and that he had lost his land to some money men I then saw Billy take the shotgun that Hendry was holding and examining it before handing it over to Pat to saw it off I guess
Hey Big Casino why don't you saw a foot off this thing case we run into Governor Lew Wallace on the way Billy ordered Pat to do
I don't think I'm making this one kid Pat said standing up
"What do you mean? You gotta come with us Pat "what you gonna do stay here and scrub pots for Beaver? Billy replied
I may have old Beaver scrub the old pots for me I'm buying this place turning it into an eaten house I got to stake my claim while I still got a fair enough name Pat said
"What name? You ride with known men Patsy Billy replied causing Pat to chuckle
Hell I'll be a known man next time you ride here there will be a big old sign out there that says Garrett's Place it's time I got an income that isn't from stealing horses Pat said
Now you remember something Pat I never stole from someone I didn't like if I didn't like them I just wouldn't even bother them Billy said
Na he'd just kill them Dave added chuckling
I watched Pat as he began to walk out I had a feeling that Billy wasn't going to like what Pat was doing but I knew that it was up to Pat and Billy had no say in what Pat decided to do but I also had a feeling that we're were about to be proven wrong
Oh come on Pat you're one of us you always been one of us Billy said
I'll always will be Billy Pat replied before leaving the tavern
Well go on then go on we don't need you Pat! Billy yelled in anger
I whined softly I didn't like it when anyone yelled Chavez gently petted my head trying to calm me down as I laid my head on his lap as I did I heard what sounded like someone stepping on something I looked up and saw Beaver messing with someone until Billy pulled a gun on him causing him to stop whatever it was he was doing then I saw a young kid walk up towards us the kid must be a teenager he had short messy black hair and had a youthful appearance
Go on sit with the boys Billy told the kid
What the hell's this? Dave asked baffled
This? This the prince of Pennsylvania Billy announced flipping a gun around before handing it to the kid who nearly shot himself but thankfully Billy moved the barrel of the gun out of the way as I heard Doc sigh softly
Chavez's POV:
I noticed that Thor seemed to not want to leave my side I guess getting captured by the law must've really scared him to the point of him not wanting to leave my side I sighed softly and looked down at Thor who's head was resting on my lap I gently petted him trying to keep him calm but I knew it was no use I heard Doc sigh softly I looked up at him and I could tell he was on the verge of strangling Chivato
You alright Doc? I asked
Yeah I'm alright Chavez I'm just a little tired is all Doc replied but I had a feeling that he wasn't lying but I didn't want fight with him about it
How's Thor doing? Doc asked
Not good I sighed he's refusing to leave my side I guess getting captured by the law like we did really scared him
Well at least he's loyal and not wanting to leave you that's at least a good thing Doc said
Yeah but it's not healthy for him though I replied
Doc nodded as I twirled my knife he and Thor always hated it when I twirled my knife Doc had once told me that I was going cut myself in the face if I kept twirling my knife like that I shook my head as I put my knife back into its sheath then we got ready to leave the tavern we were going to John Simpson Chisum's ranch I guess to try and get some money since he was Financial partner of John and Alex which made him an ally to us so that's why Chivato was going to go there first before we head down the Mexican-BlackBird trail I loaded Thor up onto the saddle and we rode off to Chisum's ranch unaware of what he and the rest of the Santa Fe ring had up their sleeves
