Aang landed on the ship, closing his glider. "It's over. The Fire Lord is probably long-gone; far away on some remote island where he'll be safe during the eclipse."

"No." Sokka said thoughtfully. "My instincts tell me he wouldn't go too far. He would have a secret bunker; somewhere he could go and be safe during the siege but still be close enough to lead his nation."

Reiko grinned, fox ears twitching. "Oh that won't be any trouble to find.

Sokka grinned, pulling out a watch. "The mechanist gave me this timing device. It looks like we've got about ten minutes until the full eclipse. Ten minutes to find the Fire Lord."

"We can still do this. We can still win the day." Aang smiled.

"Wait." Katara said. "Where's Kurai?"

"I don't know." Aang said. "She wasn't there."

"Then we WILL win." Katara smiled. "Don't you see, Aang? We don't have to find the Fire Lord. We just have to find Kurai!"

Aang's eyes widened. "Of course! The spirit! I can still trace the mark of the spirit on her!"

His tattoos began to glow, and they were on the trail.

They landed on the volcano. Reiko earthbended the opening of a tunnel.

Aang kept moving, and Reiko earthbended openings as they went.

They arrived to a rock ledge, completely surrounded by molten lava.

"There's no floor." Sokka stared. "It's just a river of lava."

Aang spun his staff open."Climb aboard and hold on tight."

They rode swiftly over the river of lava. They reached the other side safely and approach a large metal, dome-like structure with a huge door.

"That's some door!" Sokka said, impressed.

"Only thirty seconds until the total eclipse." Reiko said, looking at the watch."

"I'm ready to face the Fire Lord." Aang said firmly.
