"All right, students! Listen up!" the gym teacher called as the students pilled into the gym. "Today, we're playing volleyball!" The gym burst out in excitement. "I'm giving you numbers, either one or two, so if you get one, go to the right side of the gym, and for two, the other side."
Once everyone was given numbers, they separated. Tadano glanced around his team members hoping to see Komi. Only then did he see her on the one's side of the gym. They'll be going against each other. "I don't want anyone complaining about their teams," the teacher said sternly.
Komi was handed the ball. She squeaked and handed it to someone else. She switched places with them in the front and waved at Tadano. He returned the wave.
"Play ball!"
The ball was thrown into the air. It bounced back a few times before Tadano's team hit the ball four times, making the other team score.
Eventually, it came down to the tie breaker. "All right, class. Last shot! This is the tie breaker!" Once again, the ball was thrown. For the first time sice playing, Komi charged for the ball. Tadano braced for the ball. Komi jumped up for it and whacked it with all her strength. Tadano tried to jump for it but failed as the ball smacked him in the face.
Komi squeaked as she landed back on the floor. The ball bounced off of Tadano's head as he fell backwards. Blood trailed from out of his nose. "Oh dear, down to the nurse's office you go," the teacher said. Komi walked up next to Tadano. 'Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, Tadano!' Komi's paper read as she walked down to the nurse's office.
"It's okay, Komi," Tadano said, holding his head up and plugging his nose. "It's fine, really. I didn't jump in time. More than anything, I should thank you. Being my eyes to the nurse's office." Komi pulled his away from a wall. "Thanks. Anyway, nice arm, Komi. That sure was a great hit."
Komi squeaked again and blushed.

Sorry for the short chapter. I've been thinking of this one for a while trying to make it longer but nothing was working. I'll post more chapters to make up for it! Anyway, thank you for being patient with this story!
