Daughter Of Batman 2 Chapter 5
Damian thought he and Danika were being sneaky when they were slipping back inside Wayne Manor after a night out on the town.
They weren't.
No sooner did the twins slip back inside into Damian's room that one of the lights switched on. Revealing Bruce and Dick there waiting for them. Bruce is seated in one of the armchairs, turned to face directly toward the window and Dick is standing beside him, preparing some antiseptic medicine. Their appearance isn't what alarms the pair the most.
No, it's the massive number of bandages wrapped around Bruce's shoulder and chest along with the cut on his cheek.
Stonily, Bruce demanded "Where were you?"
"What happened to you? Are you okay," said Damian, eyes wide.
"You don't get to ask questions," said Bruce, holding a hand out to halt Danika when she rushes to use her magic to heal his wounds, preferring Dick to tend to them without magic. "Now where the hell were you?"
"Out," answered Damian in a cold and evasive tone.
Eyes narrowed, choosing to try his daughter next, Bruce said "Danika?"
The same time Danika starts to open her mouth Damian snaps his head toward her, the warning look on his face causing her to flinch and remain quiet.
Answering for her, Damian said "Just out."
"'Out' has suddenly become a far more dangerous place," said Bruce, spotting the sai sticking out in Damian's belt underneath the cloaked cape. Faster than Damian can react Bruce snatches it, holding it up for the rest of them to see. "What's this?"
"That's mine," said Damian, reaching out to grab it for Bruce instead to pull it back out of range.
"I don't think so," said Bruce, firmly.
Addressing Bruce in scathing resentment, Damian said "So what are you going to do now? Build a dungeon and lock me up in it?"
"Despite what you might think, I'm your father, Damian, not your jailer," states Bruce.
"A biological accident doesn't make you my father and it sure as hell doesn't make me your son," said Damian, obnoxiously.
"Damian, stop it," said Danika, registering how far and out of line he's taking this.
The consequences for his disrespect and insubordination are not going to be pretty. This is why Damian needs to think with his head instead of his mouth.
Damian seems to realize his mistake as soon as she reprimands him for it. The aggression in his body language departs as he comes to regret these hurtful words spoken in anger.
Dick and Danika share an uncertain glance as they wait for whatever Bruce decides next.
Coming up with a solution, Bruce said "There's a school in Switzerland run by a retired general who knows far more than I do about boys and discipline. Try this again, that's where you'll be spending the next year."
"And what about Danika? Are you going to send her away, too," said Damian.
Shaking his head, rising from the armchair and heading for the door, Bruce said "Danika follows the rules. I'm aware your sister simply followed you tonight in order to make sure you returned in one piece. She wouldn't have snuck out otherwise. If I'm left no choice other than to send you away, she will remain here."
A light gasp escapes Danika upon hearing that and even gets Damian to pause.
Not once have the twins ever been separated under any circumstances.
They may be morally at odds right now, but it's not something either of them desires.
Gathering up the medical supplies to follow Bruce out, glaring at Damian, Dick said "You really played me for a fool."
"Not hard to do," jabbed Damian.
Outside Bruce puts the sai in a secret compartment in a cabinet that can only be opened with a specific code.
Softening a touch, Dick said "You know, I did my share of sneaking out too, back in the day."
Pinching the bridge of his nose tiredly, Bruce said "Those things are out there, Dick. If Batman's a target, so are they."
"Then talk to him about it," implored Dick, beseechingly.
"He doesn't listen," said Bruce, sternly.
"But Bruce, he's just a-," said Dick, compassionately.
Cutting him off, Bruce said "He's not you, Dick. Before I took you in, you had loving parents. You had a heart."
"And he doesn't," argued Dick.
"That's not what I mean. Or is it? I don't know," sighed Bruce, echoing what Damian aimed at him in them. "Maybe biological ties aren't enough to make a man a father. Or a boy his son."
"Did you mean what you said in there? Would you really separate them," inquired Dick.
Arms crossed, Bruce said "As reluctant as I'd be to make that sort of call, if I must then I will. Damian's sense of entitlement, lack of discipline and consideration is a danger to them both. Especially to her each time he pulls something like this. As long as he's here wherever he goes she is bound to follow. For Danika's sake, as a last resort, it's something I'll have to do."
The twins overheard every single word spoken, eavesdropping at the door.
Separation is nothing neither of them desire to see come upon them.
But Danika worries deeply. With the way things are currently going, is it going to become reality for them?
Danika doesn't think it's something she can bear.

After Damian sneaks out again do you think Danika should be in the car when Bruce is brought to the Court of Owls or not?
Heads up everyone there's someone on fanfiction you need to seriously watch out for. Early a couple of days ago after I woke up I was checking my email and I saw I had a new guest review on my A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 sequel. I took a look at it and got a very big shock. Some random person I've never spoken to before on here or anywhere else in my life was basically threatening me. Intimidating and practically ordering me to write a threatening letter to someone on their behalf, telling to stay off of for life or else they and everyone else close to them would be killed, disgustingly telling them to kill themselves. And at the bottom of the message this crazy person wasn't done. Warning me that if I don't send the letter then they would kill me and for confirmation to email them to make absolutely sure I complied with their demands. Of course I did nothing of the sort. Instead of doing what they wanted I reported them to the website, sent copies of this deplorable guest review message to police officer cousins of mine so they could have it on file, and I went to a nearby police station and reported it.
When I spoke to the police officers and they checked everything on the message they saw, that while the address and names of business were accurate the people and their names were not. They agree it was more than likely a scam because of the email address on the bottom in order to perhaps get access to personal information or potentially hack my computer. Despite that I'm still very happy they took it seriously as I showed and told them everything. All the same I'm still very happy that I brought this to the attention of law enforcement. Even though the entire thing might be fake I'm still very happy to have brought this to the attention of those who can do something about it if it was legit in someway. This may have been a scam, but it's obvious these people are beyond irresponsible if they try to goad people into sending death threats to random strangers just to get access to info.
Be that as it may if this does unfortunately happen to you do not send any messages to the email addresses they put down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you bring the message to the authorities immediately whether it is legit or not.
Because it's a guest review it might not be visible for a couple of days as it loads if it is sent to you. But when it does you should definitely pressing the report abuse button and send it to the email that leads to the support staff that is available.

Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.
So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
