Action: The semester is almost over and we have some chapters left.
Kai: To think it's almost time for our adventures in Evergreen to end.
Nexus: Correct.
Action: It's weird it hasn't even been a year yet. I should let y'all know there will be extra chapters at the end and I haven't decided if it will be three or two. It's the winter break chapters and there will be a Christmas special even though it's the middle of summer.
Axel: Weirdo.
Action: Huh?
Milo: Good for you seems like this will be the fastest you ever finish a book.
Action: Let's not jinx it. Now let us continue the adventures in Evergreen.
Pollon: Last time we took a trip to Scorpion Isle which turned into a Mystery Dungeon right in front of us, sucking in all of the elite class. Oddly enough the only Feral Pokemon we met was Percival and he and Kai had a fight in Ultra Space. I wish I could have seen that. Let's not forget that some of Percival's past was revealed during that fight. Blaze and Milo were also able to pull up the notes of his experimentation. Also who was that guy at the end of the last chapter, he makes my skin crawl.
Action: Thank you Pollon.
Maximilian: Action doesn't own Pokemon, music links, and art if used.
Action: This is the longest chapter I have to date so be warned. Three Major fights in one chapter. I could have split this into two parts but I feel like it's better as one big chapter.

(Digi Xros - Digimon Xros Wars)
Today is the day, finals are over and it is time for the last part of our final exams, the winter selection. We already had our written and practical exams which were eighty percent of our final grade. The winter Selection is the last twenty percent. They called all the students to be in the main Evergreen stadium come ten in the morning. I arrived with Pollon by my side. Tailing us were Kai, Nix, and Corrode. Nix still looks miserable even after what happened during the Class Change tournament. On the other hand, Kai seems a lot happier now compared to when school started. His smile was fake and his words were empty. When you would look in his eyes all you saw was sadness and fear. Now that the three made up and Kai made new friends he's changed. Speaking of Ace, Angel, and Jai were walking our way. It's good we all made these up and have new friends. In my opinion, this school would have been depressing without a change.
"Welcome students, are you ready for the Winter Selection!" As we were standing a stage came up in front of all of us. Dean Lumino, Tailside, Tyler, Axel, Blaze, and Aristotle were on it.
"We're here to explain the rules of the first stage," Blaze smiled and tried to bring up the morning slump mood.
"The first stage is a survival challenge as you will have seventy-two hours. Those who will remain will go on to fight in the second stage here in the Evergreen stadium," Tyler brought more energy than Blaze.
"You are allowed to travel all of Evergreen during this exam but here are the rules on the fights," Axel smirked.
"If you want to challenge someone you have to be within ten yards of your opponent and issue the fight via your ORB and you can't reject it either. These fights will only be one-on-one and we will be monitoring all fights and every location in Evergreen so please do not try to cheat," Lumino explained the rules.
"If you lose once you're out and your time in the Winter Selection is over," Aristotle added.
"As an incentive to those who perform well and pass the first stage there is a surprise for those when you make it to the second stage and if you pass the second stage a greater prize," Lumino cheered.
"You all have thirty minutes of grace period before the selection starts. You're free to do as you please however if you want to go shopping or visit the mall or a hot spring be our guest. Please however use battlefields for your fights," Tyler said as the Stadium was quickly emptied by the student body. It's time to prepare. Time to show that I'm not weaker than my sister.
~Nexus's~
I got a message from Kai as soon as I left the stadium and it was to visit him at his house and it had his address on it. The message mentioned he wanted to chat and not fight with anyone who was there. Which is oddly suspicious. He lives on the edge of Evergreen which is a bit of a walk and I bothered to look up the house and it's a mansion. I forget that his family is rich at times. Even when we were kids he didn't give off the vibe of a rich kid. When I made it there I was shocked to see Zeek standing there waiting.
"Oh, did Kai send you a message as well?" I asked and Zeek seemed upset.
"No, though I knew you'd be here," he had a blank expression. I couldn't tell how he was feeling. "While Kai would visit me in the hospital he would talk fondly of you and Jai. As much as I enjoyed him spending time with me it was almost as if he did it out of an obligation since he saw what happened to me," Zeek went on further.
"Then why show up here?" I was confused.
'Grace period is over,' I heard the automated voice of my ORB.
"I'm here to challenge you and see what's special about you," he said with a weak smile. I then got issued a challenge and of course, it was from Zeek. I couldn't reject it so I accepted. Sadly the closest battlefield was in Kai's front yard.
"I won't hold back here. You're the one who chose to do this so don't get mad when you lose your chance of reaching the second phase," We made our way to the battlefield.
(Battle - Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country)
"I understand that, but I need to do this," He walked to the front of me. That's when I heard footsteps and a door closing. I looked around and Kai was leaving the front door of his house and at the gate of the manor were all of our friends in the elite class including Angel, and Luna. Why would Kai invite the eleven of us here and to the surprise of having Zeek here as well?
"What's happening?" Kai seemed shocked to see the setup of a fight between Zeek and me.
"I have to fight to see why you want him over me. Don't worry I won't intrude any further in your affairs after this. Especially since your father is also watching," Zeek sounded defeated but I then noticed an older-looking Blaziken.
'3 . . 2 . . 1, Battle Begin!' the automated voice said. As soon as our fight began the battlefield sparked to life surging with electricity.
"Welcome to my domain, I may be a part of the normal class but while I was in the hospital I missed my chance to join the elites. Now let me see if I can match one and prove I should be in the elite class as well for next semester and show Kai that I can be his protector," As he was preaching a bolt of electricity sprung up and struck me. I didn't even bother to defend since it won't affect me.
"Even you should know electricity is half effective on dragons and for me, my defense stats may be low but even then this doesn't even hurt," I smirked. That's when I felt it, the feeling of my body locking up.
"Guess you realized what I was after," Zeek took his chance and was coming my way. I prepared to counter him as he attacked to minimize movement. What surprised me was he glowed blue and when I went to counter with Iron Tail, he used Iron Tail as well. We clashed but his move was stronger and sent me sliding back a bit.
"That was Me First wasn't it," I analyzed.
"Correct, I changed up my battle style to pair better with my electric surge battlefield but since you are strong against electric attacks this makes this fight a bit harder," Zeek then came at me again. I was struck with another bolt but I barely felt it but I needed to pay attention to his Thrash. He was striking me with his hooves and even headbutted me but I took it all on so I could hit him with Counter. I made sure to strike him in his thigh joint for critical damage and he was sent sliding back. At the same time, I can feel the paralysis consuming more of my body. Nothing against Zeek but I need to egg him on so this fight can end quickly. I shouldn't waste so much energy on day one.
"If you want to show off why not bring out all of your power I know you can mega-evolve. Let's see who's stronger?" I taunted him and he took the bait.
He was trapped in a white ball and his white cage broke. Zeek's mega form was definitely majestic. His mane sprouted out further and grew a matching pair of wings. His white stripes turned blue and surged with blue electricity. It changed the battlefield electricity to match his stripes turning blue.
"You're right the more time I waste in this fight prolongs the chance I get to convince Kai I'm worth it," I then noticed pillars of electricity surging up from the ground. This must require high amounts of energy. How is he able to control this much electricity? That's when he flew up in the sky I noticed his own electricity attacking him. His ability must be Motor Drive. Not only does he boost his speed and not take damage from electric-type moves but it allows him to constantly generate electricity. It won't matter when I end it in one cut. Before I knew it the pillars surrounded me.
"Seems like I fell for your trap," I smirked.
"Correct I took my Electric Configuration and evolved it to Surging Battlefield. Now, perish!" The pillars combined into one as it consumed me. It feels weird and it doesn't help that I'm a bit paralyzed. The constant feel of electricity flowing through my body forcing it to convulse is the painful part. I still had enough energy to unleash a move.
"You're too weak," I stomped on the ground and the battlefield started to shake and spike out ruining the electric terrain. The pillar of electricity disappeared too.
"How did you do that?" Zeek was caught off guard.
"Don't worry it all ends here," I took my chance and started running. I couldn't feel the paralysis and now is the only chance I can attack after he unleashed a massive attack like that. I jumped up off a bulging rock in the ground from my previous Earthquake. My ax jaw glowed blue and extended itself as I hurled myself toward the electric zebra. When I was coming in close I could see the pained expression on his face as if he realized that he had no chance of winning and his dream had been crushed.
"Thank you for indulging me, I understand now," Zeek said before I sliced past him using Guillotine. When I landed I made sure to catch Zeek.
'Battle over, Zeek eliminated,' the automated voice announced.
(Wanderer's Poem - Disgaea 3)A/N: Maximilian's Theme
"What a wonderful battle Macalister," I heard clapping and it reminded me the others were here. When I turned to who was clapping it was Maximillion Blaze, Kai's father. "I'm sure your mom and dad would be proud of you. I can take Zeek inside where he'll rest since he is no longer a part of the winter selection," I forgot how suffocating his aura was. No wonder when I came here Kai was entirely different, years of being around that man can change you. I nodded at his command. I then noticed everyone was looking at Maximillion with some form of frightened expression. "Don't worry I'll let you continue with your meeting, however, when you're done I'd love to have a chat with you Kai. I'll be in my study," the Blaziken then disappeared into his mansion.
Fang was the first to break the silence "Why did you invite all of us here? You do know the Winter Selection competition is underway," He said bitterly. I know in reality he's itching for a fight and trying to egg on Kai.
"I wanted to talk strategy and break off into teams of three to ensure we succeed and make it to the second stage," Kai explained.
"They said these are one on one matches so why break off into teams?" Angel asked.
"It would be to ensure safety in numbers and so we don't fight each other until the second stage," Nix chimed in as if knowing of Kai's plans.
"Who's to say I wasn't looking forward to fighting some of you," Corrode looked conflicted. I would like to work together but it would be nice to fight those here who I haven't.
"I thought someone might say that so we could break up into multiple teams and from there if we run into each other again we will be forced to fight," Kai sounded proud of his plan.
"Sounds good to me," Percival agreed.
"Safety in numbers," Sydney smiled.
"So do we just create the teams ourselves?" Luna asked.
"That's the plan," Kai led us all. We then shuffled around as we all separated. Three that stood out were Kai, Percival, and Pollon. Others started to join them and slowly teams were forged. On Kai's team were Nix, Jai, and Ace. On Percival's team were Sydney, Fang, and I. Lastly on Pollon's team were Luna, Corrode, and Angel.
"These are the teams, don't get upset when we run into each. We'll have to fight," Ace sounded full of energy.
"I will not be holding back," Pollon giggled. That's a rare sight.
"Now let's all promise to not go back on our word," Jai led us in our promise.
"Next we all meet, we are rivals," Kai cheered. We all separated going our own way.
"Let's go to Darkmoon, I hear they have good hot springs," Fang suggested.
"Yes, I agree, I've been wanting to go," Sydney furthered the idea.
"No complaints here," I sighed.
"Let's go," Percival finalized the idea and we decided to go to Darkmoon, one of the three major parts of the Elemental region.

(Circhester Theme - Pokemon)
Nix and I invited Jai and Ace inside. It's been a while since Ace was here and honestly, I'm happy she chose to join me even if it's only for the first phase of the winter selection. For Jai, I'm sure he's been in a mansion before. We offered both of them if they wanted to stay for the duration of the first phase and they both accepted. I then remember my father summoned me to his study. It can't be for anything good but I made my way there and knocked on the door.
"Come in Kai," I heard my father's voice and came into the room. Closing the door behind me. He was sitting at his desk with a book on it and a pen in his hand. Scanning the room it was the same before I left for school. Books all along the walls, and two couches by the entrance door. A view of our backyard from the windows behind him. Not to mention the punching bag he had in here.
"You called for me," I stood there awkwardly. No matter how many times as a kid I've been in his office it brings back bad memories like the time he was brutally training me in his office and didn't hold back. He called it training but that was a beating three times a week from when I was twelve to fifteen up until when he believed I was showing promise as a fighter.
"Yes I did," he paused, then looked at me. "I remember before you left for school talking about no more slip-ups," it was clear what my father was getting at. Did he overhear what Zeek was talking about in the fight? There was no way he could have heard all the things that happened at school. "I have eyes everywhere and I know about your previous encounter with Zeek before the class Change Tournament. Not to mention your recent interaction with Jai Chesterfield. It's interesting how you keep defying me as if I don't know," his words cut me like knives reminding me of what would happen if I stepped out of line. Why am I remembering all those painful times now? Up till now, I've had mostly positive memories growing up here. Why do all my bad memories resurface when I talk to this man, why does everything that has happened to me in the past revolve around him?
"I've been interacting with Jai and Zeek has been a bit out of whack since his incident both are irrelevant if you are accusing me of something, please state it with haste," It felt so weird to talk like that believe it or not it was a common thing for me up until I met Tusks or I should say Nexus. Then I only talked like this to my father.
"I must say it seems like you've grown a pair, then I'll come out and give you the bone. I know of your romantic adventures with Nexus and Jai. I can't have you presenting yourself in such a filthy way," he got up from his desk and walked up to me. "You know how this either you and I fight to see if you are strong enough to handle this lifestyle choice of yours or I give you your punishment now," he was standing over me his awara alone was enough to choke me.
"He won't pick any of those choices!" We both turned to the door and Jai was there with an angry expression.
"Seems like this lion is showing his fangs," My father didn't move or show fear. He looked intrigued to have Jai in the room. "I then have a proposition for the two of you, the two of you will fight each other in an official match during the Winter Selection. If Kai wins I'll pester him about this further and you will challenge me when the winter selection is over to see if he is strong enough to pursue this lifestyle. If you lose I will drop all of this and this proves your boyfriend over there can protect you," this proposition is alarming. I'd be happy to lose on purpose and for this to be all over. But I want to make it to the second phase.
"He's not my boyfriend!" I shouted out at my father's accusation. "Jai you don't have to accept this we said we'd make it to the second phase together," the thoughts in my head were running wild.
"Another thing about my son, he's always putting others before him, that's what makes you weak as well," My father laughed.
"No, I have to accept this fight," Jai had a fire in his eyes. "I've had my eye on you for a while and for me to be this close to you. This fight will prove I can protect you if I win and if I lose,I have no right to go to the second phase but I can only train to be better. The only one in this room who has to make a decision is you," Jai was full of emotion.
"I will fight you then," it felt as if my father was twisting my arm but I will play his game.
~Kai's~
(Battle Theme 6 - MHS2)
It was now evening as we made our way to the backyard. It was about eight hours ago we made the arrangement for this fight and we had a fair share of battles between then and now. Nix had two fights and Ace had two as well. Jai and I stayed locked up in the mansion preparing for now. As of now, we are on the battlefield. He's here staring at me with a smile. I issued Jai a challenge and he accepted it. I then remembered what I was told after Tyler's birthday trip. He took Nexus, Percy, Sydney, Pollon, and me aside and said that we should only use the power of our Overseers if we fight someone within this group. He also mentioned between the first and second stages of the Winter Selection we will have a proper meeting.
"Kai I understand this fight isn't under ideal circumstances, but please fight with everything, I've been looking forward to when we get to fight so please don't disappoint me," Jai had a genuine smile on his face. He was ready to fight, just I'm hesitating. With a heavy heart, the timer started to countdown our fight.
'3 . . 2 . . 1, Battle Begin!' the automated voice said. Jai wasted no time as five blue balls of flame came at me. Why would he use Will-O-Wisp as an opening move? I jumped back dodging three of them but the other two came at me and they hurt like water. What the heck that shouldn't be Will-O-Wisp. The next thought I had was where did he get the power? Did Percy hand it out to him before we cleansed his heart? "If you're worried about me using a dark power don't worry. It's thanks to a new item my family made thanks to the gift Percival gave me in the hospital. It's fused with my mega stone and once per fight, it lets me change one type on my moveset. Of course, it's a prototype and my mother is letting me test it out," Jai calmed down my fears. Great, he has an item like that and now I'm infected with burn status. Not to mention my attack power is now halved thanks to that stunt. He then changed his mane form from male to female giving him a power boost and it doesn't help his ability is rivalry. He really is going all out. I have to fight back. I'll use everything I can. My ability isn't contrary yet so I'll hold back on using Superpower but I'll give him a taste of my ability right now.
My muscles started to flex as I felt the burn status run through me. "Thanks for helping me abuse my ability, Guts," I said. It's time to use my new moves I put together for the Winter Selection. Jai came at me again, unleashing a high pitch howl. He gave me a perfect opportunity and I made five glowing red cards appear as a shield to block me from his Hyper Voice. Both moves clashed and my cards shattered and I was hit with a light soundwave attack.
"Woah that was Trump Card, kind of a weak move but interesting you chose that," Jai sort of complimented me.
"Don't worry about it let's continue," I took the initiative and charged in, covered in fire for a Flare Blitz. He took my attack head-on. Almost trapping me and then I noticed a big flame sigil on the ground. That symbol is only for one of the strongest fire attacks, Inferno. Erupting everything around us in flames himself included. What is he after again? I jumped back and realized I was trapped by the Inferno. He then unleashed another Howl and the Hyper Voice fused with the Inferno causing a massive explosion. When it cleared both of us were still standing and then I was inflicted with burn again. I took my chance as he had to take time to recover from those big moves. I latched onto his body and backdropped him with Superpower. Super effective with my ability boosting the power. Jumping back Jai still looked as if he could continue the fight.
"Sometimes I forget I'm a normal type, that was a good hit and that pushed me enough to unleash my power," Jai then got caged in a capsule of white. When it broke he had a cape of flames and his mane grew not to mention some scruffier fur. On a beat, a blast of dark matter came my way and I made five glowing red cards appear as multiple shields to block the attack. He broke all five but the attack wasn't able to reach me. I saw the shock on his face.
"You're not the only one who has been training and Trump Card is stronger than you think. Sadly this fight has to end. Unlike you I have high stakes in this," I charged up a bunch of energy as stars started to fly around Jai. "Last Resort!" I charged right into him with all my power. A pillar of flames erupted and blacked me. I stumbled back and then another fire sigil appeared below me and erupted. That's when I felt Dark energy blasted down on me.
"My special attack Fire and Darkness Endless Explosion!" Jai said. Seems like Inferno fused with Dark Pulse. The Inferno cleared and I was barely standing as burn status ran through my body again. "You're still standing, please just give up," Jai tried to reason with me. Something within me snapped and I couldn't contain it.
"I'm not some Damsel in distress, I never asked for your help! I suffered in silence for too long for you to just waltz in to be a knight in shining armor!" I summoned five glowing red cards again, this time trapping Jai. I then summoned one more card and jumped on it as it was heading toward Jai. I then got cloaked in flames as I came crashing into Jai causing a massive explosion. Jumping back I could see Jai on the ground and he reverted back from his mega form.
(Wanderer's Poem - Disgaea 3)
'Battle over, Jai eliminated,' the automated voice announced. I then ran over to him to make sure he was okay. That attack was completely on the fly and I've never done it before, especially since Trump Card gets stronger the more I use it. I let my father get to me and Jai's words set off another fuse as if I thought he was calling me weak like my father.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean it," I tried to apologize.
"No need to do so, I knew what I was doing but I have to ask officially will you be my boyfriend?" he asked as he slowly got off the ground. After all these good times between him and I were just a glimpse of what we could be. Then a thought in the back of my mind plagues me.
"I'm sorry I can't. As special as you are, I think I love someone else," I gave him a pained expression.
"I thought so, but I held on to hope. Tough, I did enjoy our time together. I'll go back to being your friend for what it's worth," he smiled before going back inside past my father.
"Well done Kai beating someone who has access to mega evolution," My father complimented me. It didn't feel forthright though and his words angered me. Growing up I tried so hard to impress him and follow the path set out for me. Yet he never saw growth and I never met his expectations.
"All of sudden now I show promise to you as the family successor!" I lost my temper. "I guess it doesn't matter to you. In truth, I was a number, a pawn. I have friends that care about me more than you do!" I continued my outburst, he seemed unphased. No matter what I'll be truthful to who I am. All those times my father beat me and used physical abuse to keep me in place. "You even bully me for my sexuality. I'm not like you and I don't want to. I could care less about the family name!" In truth, I didn't care about him or our family name. I only cared about my mother and my sister. My mother is long gone now and my sister was the only one I had while in this rich prison. "I'll prove to you I can handle what is thrown at me, but not because you said so. This whole semester I've been introduced to so many new things and Pokemon. My adventure has just begun and I will pass the winter selection!" I'll show him my determination. "I will go to the second stage and show Evergreen what I can do!" I was out of breath as I let it all out.
"If you're done with your sob story I would rest if I were you and don't forget the arrangements we made earlier," this Blaziken was unphased by everything I just said. He's just built differently. I went inside and decided to rest in my room in preparation for the second day of this first stage.
~Pollon's~
(Gentle Madman - P5R)
We're traveling through Darkmoon as yesterday we toured through Hot Rock since Corrode wanted to tour the region while he still had a chance and asked if we could give him one. Since we have nothing better to do. We had a few fights yesterday too since not many will travel to Hot Rock on average the temperature is thirty-nine degrees Celsius. I was dreading going to Darkmoon since Luna and I lived here as orphans. I would check the area every now and then and the run-down apartment we lived in was still there as messy as when we moved in.
"You could at least pay attention to the story, Pollon. Remember I was the one who gave the school the idea to segway into the academy instead of having the three separate schools." My sister snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Sorry sis, but you know I've already heard this story," I sighed being reminded it was only five months ago we used to live here. I've heard this many times and especially when she has to give her monthly speeches as student council president. She wants me to take her place next year but I'm not much of a public face for the school plus I hate other Pokemon.
"You could be a little more grateful about it," she said with a posh tone.
"I have before, but it seems like you're seeking something like you need praise from others," I said the truth. She is always looking for praise. She instantly sucked her teeth in as a response and I knew I struck a nerve. I may be the younger sister but I always speak the truth. That's one thing many come to learn whenever I speak it's not diluted by emotion it's the cold-cut truth. I put a damper on the mood but really I do not care.
As we were walking around Luna asked a question "Do you guys want to hear something about the Elemental region that not many know about? More or less a little lore of the region and its three major areas," that caught both Angel's and Corrode's attention. The two of them agreed but for some reason, I felt a chill go up my spine. "There were three noble families for the three major areas of the elemental region. The Blaze family in Evergreen. The Chesterfield family of Hot Rock and the Astros family of Darkmoon," I then realized what she was talking about.
"Wait! Luna," she didn't hear my plea.
"However, the Astros family disappeared about eight years ago. Their sole daughter was their perfect sunshine excelling at everything thrown her way at a young age. The Astros family were purebreds and Meowstics. Darkmoon used to be a nice place full of life with the support of the Astros family. They even made their family logo a crescent moon because of this place. Yet an accident occurred and the family fell to bankruptcy, but before they could rebuild themselves the family was abducted," I was reminded of the time I spent with actual parents, ones who cared, unlike Kai's dad. Truly my mom and dad were kind and didn't pressure me to do anything I didn't want to. I wanted to make them proud as their daughter. "One thing did happen though and their daughter, an Espurr, managed to escape to the slums of Darkmoon where a lone Togetic took her in and changed her name to Pollon Strife," Angel and Corrode looked at me. I then saw Luna look at me. Why would she mention me? Letting Pokemon know that I'm a part of the Astros family is dangerous.
"You're a noble?" Corrode had a shine in his eye.
"Yes, keep quiet, you never know who is listening," I said with a harsh tone. I then sent a glare to my sister. "What are you trying to get at? It seems you have a problem with me," I was confused.
"I do have a problem with you. I did everything with you in mind and even protected you and all I get is depression in return for eight years. You and I were great friends when we were younger, but after your family fell you came running to me and I had no parents to begin with!" Luna let out an outburst.
"Fine, I'll prove right now I don't need your protection," I issued her a challenge.
"Woah, there's no need for that," Angel tried to diffuse the situation, but we all know once a challenge is issued during this phase you can't reject it.
"No, this needs to be done," Luna accepted my challenge. We moved to a more open area that bridges the normal part of Darkmoon and the slums. We both got ready to fight and it's been years since we had an official fight against each other.
(Digixros we are xros heart - digimon xros wars)A/N:Luna's Final Theme
'Setting altered override Student Council President Luna Strife for contest battle mode. Waiting for approval,' The automated voice said.
"I was hoping to have a contest match against you last year, however, we both lost before facing each other, however, last year you were only an Espurr," Luna remembered. I lost my match to Chris Jolt in the first round that night, while Luna lost to Tyler in the second round.
"Do you still want to be a top Coordinator? You're good at both normal fights and coordinator fights," I acknowledged my sister's strength.
"You know I plan to go to Sinnoh to study under the legendary Zoey. Only four students get accepted and I'm still waiting on a response," she said with a smirk. After graduating I plan to be a coordinator as well but there is a hiatus this year on contests.
'Approved, I will be the special judge for this contest match and points will be shown by hologram from the neighboring ORBS of Corrode Gaia and Luke Angel,' the automated voice answered Luna's override. 'Five minutes on the clock, Battle Begin!' the automated voice said. We opened with an explosive start as I shot a focused stream of electricity and Luna countered with balls of fire, ice, and electricity. Her attack broke through my Charge Beam and I was forced to dodge the tri attack coming my way. I noticed my points drop a bit from the encounter.
"Remember this is a contest match, not a normal battle, something like Charge Beam won't show off your moves," Luna taunted. She's right and my moveset isn't entirely made for contests right now. I thought of a plan and quickly moved in towards my sister. She tried to keep me at bay using Air Slash and sending blades of wind my way but I used it to my advantage and my eyes started to glow as I was flying past her blades of wind and made my way behind her. As I did my Psychic took control of the blades of wind and sent them flying back at us. "What are you doing?" she was confused.
"You'll see," I then slapped her back and poured a bit of energy into her. Next thing I know everything is turned to a bright white. I tried to shield my eyes from her Dazzling Gleam. I stumbled backward trying to see again. The thing about that move Dazzling Gleam is judges will always take from your opponent's points no matter how it is used. I took a second to look at our points and were pretty evenly matched with only a quarter missing from both of us and four minutes on the clock.
"You swapped our abilities!" Luna accused me.
"Correct, I used Skill Swap and I have your Super Luck while you have my Competitive," I explained. Normally I pair my ability with Charge beam since many try to lower my bad stats already but I need criticals in this match. I went flying up while using Psychic and unleashed another charged bolt of energy Luna this time came flying at me and twirled while three balls of energy floated around her. The mix of red, yellow, and Blue made a veil around her and reflected my attack. Damn, my special attack stat is still not high enough.
"Take this Tri-Bash!" She hit me head on and I retained my focus to keep me in the air. She was coming back around for another attack though this time she went up high in the sky and got cloaked in a light blue aura before coming down and having a white trail follow behind her. Not to mention she's still trapped in a veil from her Tri Attack. This is not good. I need to focus if I'm going to get out of this. As Luna was coming right at me I unleashed a wailing cry. She came straight into it and it made her falter just a bit. It's what I need. I then opened my ears as I used my psychic prowess to the fullest, completely immobilizing her and forcing all of her attacks to disappear. I forgot how good it feels to not hold but and let my ears up, I feel so powerful. Raising my paw she got shot to the battlefield floor with my beam of electricity. Looking down at her she was still able to fight and it seems the ORB isn't calling it a match. I closed my ears so I don't waste all of my energy.
"Do you yield sister?" I had a stern look. She seemed to be out of breath.
"There's still two minutes on the clock and I have some points left. I'll keep going," She then got trapped in a white cage and it broke to reveal her red and blue edges grew out like rudders. Her wings grew out more allowing another pair to grow beneath them in the respective colors of red and blue. Her tail grew out as well, I've seen this before but never have I faced it. Sadly I'm not allowed to use my alternate form as I've been told not to. "I'll finish this in one last combo move," she parked with confidence.
"I'll do the same," I unleashed CHarged Beam and used Psychic so I could morph it into Three major balls of electricity. Luna made her Tri veil once more and flew up in a light blue hue with a trail of white. This time adding the shimmer of her Dazzling Gleam to her attack. I prepared for her frontal assault as I opened my ears again this time using Disarming Voice and using my Psychic ability to form a sigil and added my charged orbs to it like a shield.
"Special move Shining Lights," Luna was heading straight for me. When I fused the three together at the center of the Sigil was a Crescent moon and it caught me off guard.
"Special move Crescent Moon Shield!" Our two moves collided and white light erupted from our two moves. I couldn't keep up my psychic power and closed my ears and began to fall. When I came to a halt I wasn't met the hard ground of the battlefield. I got up to see a belly white was below me. "Luna!" I screamed out. She was looking up at me.
"Remember I will always be there to protect you as your sister, even if you may be stronger," she smiled.
'Times up!' the automated voice spooked me and I looked at our point totals. Luna had a slither of points left while I had a little under one-fourth of my points. Luna was then forced out of her mega form. 'Battle over, Luna eliminated,' the automated voice announced.
I just fought my sister and won, I can't believe it. "Let's take her back to the nurse's office," I told both Angel and Corrode as we took off back to campus.

(ESA Final Arc Ending - NebbytheSolgaleo)A/N: Final ending made by yours truly
'Battle over, Ace eliminated,' the automated voice announced.
"I hope you got the heart-to-heart you wanted by teaming up with Kai you traitor," I looked down at the Altaria who left me for that annoying fire dog. Hopefully, he will go down, I mean he is the main reason I came here.
"Why are you so hell-bent on Kai, you're worse than me," Ace struggled to get up from our previous fight. I don't think I can explain it to her, for that fact, I can't explain it to anyone. If I don't complete this my uncle will be cut off. It's funny though that there would be a hit on a high school student and more funny that they sent out someone within the same age group to do the hit.
"That's none of your business, but I will say you are no longer needed. Consider this friendship over," she is of no use to me as I walk away. Day two and I already fought four times. The only Pokemon that meant anything to me is Nexus. I returned to Nexus's dorm room as that's where our team gathers and if I go back to my room my roommate will be there. I don't want to fight him just yet. As I arrived everyone else was there waiting for me.
"Alright we can get started, I can assume you beat Ace," Percival commented. I ignored him and joined Nexus on the couch.
"Getting on with it we are reaching the end of day two and heading into the third and final day of the first stage, however, there is a problem," Nexus cast his ORB screen to the living room TV. It showed the list of remaining students as well as the number of fights they have been in. It showed that three hundred and forty-three students remain. Of those students, sixteen elite students remain. The ones who have lost are Ace Lance, Jai Chesterfield, Resca Frost, and Jordan Wing. All lost to a different elite student so they didn't lose their rank. More than likely they will re-rank us after this is all said and done.
"You want to eliminate as many students as possible before the end of the day right," Percival had a smile on his face.
"Correct and I have a plan," Nexus smirked.
Action: OH MY GLORY THAT WAS LONG!
Kai: You could have split that up into two parts.
Action: I wanted a challenge. Plus it was better this way.
Luna: We learned more about Pollon.
Jai: As well as more insight on Kai's dad.
Nexus: Not to mention for some reason you thought it would be a good idea to make a custom ending making this chapter take two days longer to make.
Action: Honestly that was for me I thought it would be fun. I may do more custom stuff in the future unless I get completely copyright striked on these edits.
Zeek: Not to mention you broke the record for the longest chapter on the HSD series (Over 7500 words).
Fang: Guys I think at this point the reader's eyes may hurt.
Action: right.
Fang: Up next: The first phase of the Winter selection is coming to an end and we're getting rid of the weaklings but that doesn't mean some cool fights aren't on their way. All students will be forced on campus for an onslaught of matches. Some students of the Ferrum Battle College are here as special guests too. What is the second and who will make it? Chapter 19: Snowfall only on ESA.
Ace: Don't forget to fav, follow, and review.
Pollon: Bye!
