Over the next few days, the villains took their time trying to win over Bakugo. They tried getting him to talk, but he refused even when they kicked Senji around. His expression hardened when they told him about how she'd been an informant but he said nothing. That got to Senji more than anything, and she weakly tried to apologize. She was in rough shape, the blood loss from her arm starting to have an effect along with the beatings she had taken. She floated in and out of consciousness.

The next thing she knew, Bakugo was untied and picking a fight. She had vaguely heard a broadcast on the tv, where Eraser was talking with the press. It sounded like she hadn't been reported missing, as the reporters only asked about one student being taken. Things were escalating between Bakugo and the League, but Senji tried to remain calm. A voice through the monitor on the wall shredded her composure though. There wasn't a name given, but she knew it. She knew that voice, and hearing it again after six years brought back so many awful memories. Shigaraki moved toward Bakugo, but Senji slipped out of her bindings and rushed between them. She used her scale arm to block the two, blood leaking out, and they all stood at an awkward sort of stand-off.

"Ah, Kumori, that's no good," the disembodied voice came again. Senji's fear peaked, and she couldn't hold back the trembling throughout her body. Her tail flicked around, also betraying her emotions.

Bakugo started arguing with them again, and they all moved in with their leader. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Then a loud crash as the wall came down, and the villains were restrained in an instant. All Might stepped in, delivering an empowering spiel. Senji collapsed to her knees, while All Might secured Bakugo and addressed the league. While Senji had felt relieved, and let her guard down for just a moment, a black ooze erupted from the mouths of the villains and Bakugo.

Senji threw something toward Bakugo, just as he disappeared. Scales, so she could track their location. She bolted through the hole, taking out any aerial nomu and crashing to the ground below. With her arm the way it was, she wouldn't have enough scales to fly very fast. She could hear an explosive move from All Might in the building, and shouting from the officers around her. Endeavor, the flame hero, rushed toward her. She panicked in that moment, knowing she couldn't out maneuver him. She needed to get away, though, and go to where the league had been transported. The girl took a deep breath, and scales started whirling around her like thousands of tiny bits of glass. This kept anyone from approaching while she concentrated.

"[Come on, come on! Work!]," she pleaded with herself. She had another ability, one that she'd kept from even the commission. It wasn't stable, and if she messed it up now she'd be completely down for the count. There wasn't time to worry about that right now, though. So she focused, hard. And just as the flame hero rushed into the whirlwind of scales, she vanished.

Bakugo and the league gagged and gasped for breath, rapidly taking in their new surroundings. Bakugo was addressed by a strange man in a suit, with a huge mask covering his face. Something glittered between the two, swirling into a bigger and bigger swarm. That's when Bakugo noticed something on his arm, a thin and pale blue spot. He realized what it was, and in an instant his classmate materialized in that spiral of scales.

Her senses were jumbled at first. Hearing first, then sight, then understanding her position. The nearby area was a wreck, and there was a familiar whispering nearby. She used her scales to cover more of her body, creating a more monstrous appearance for herself than she'd done previously. Blood leaked through the scales of her left arm, but she held it out and shielded Bakugo from view with a cobbled together wing.

"Ah, Kumori. It's been some time hasn't it? Look how far you've come," the masked man addressed her directly.

She held her ground, standing firm while feeling like she was about to hurl. Bakugo started to say something, but she snapped at him to keep quiet or run. Just then, All Might came crashing in and the two men crossed fists. The blast launched the remaining people away, Senji catching Bakugo and propping him up. Her ears were ringing, and she was close to her absolute limit. There was some sort of conversation, and a command from the masked man to Shigaraki. The league turned to face Bakugo, and started launching an all out assault at him trying to capture him. He used his explosions to dodge and weave through. All Might was held down by the larger villain. One she knew well, too well. She fought against the league, taking on Magne and the lizard-like one herself. Senji found herself panicking when the pro hero was launched away by an attack, and things were getting too hectic for her to keep up. Just then, a surprise opening appeared in the form of three of her other classmates. They used a combo of everyone's quirks and flew overhead, calling out to Bakugo who took the jump and disappeared with them.

One of the league followed, but was stopped by Mt. Lady. Gran Torino arrived at the scene, attempting to stop the league from escaping. Senji, well out of her capacity to fight, backed off while the scramble continued and looked for the pros that were originally assigned this position. She forced herself to keep going, tending to their wounds as best she could with her scales and shielding them from shockwaves of All Might's and All For One's attacks.

"Sorry, Jeanist," she mouthed the words, but no sound came out. He wouldn't have heard anyway, his condition was so far the worst. The fight went on until morning, but Senji couldn't have given a clear report on it. Her vision faded out next, and she collapsed onto the ground. It was all she could do to maintain the shape her scales were in, on her own body and over the wounds of others. The last thing she remembered was being pulled from the rubble, then it was lights out.
