Chapter 25: Fight Night Frights and Spider Bites – A Push in the Right Direction

/

This is taken from when Richard didn't stop Tarantula from killing Blockbuster as Nightwing, with this alt – Slade being the one to pit Roland against his protégé, thus creating the scene loathed by Nightwing fans.

The non – consensual rape and assault by Catalina Flores. However, with a special twist inside…WARNING! RAPE, GASLIGHTING, GUILTING AND BEATINGS TO COME.

/

"Batman, the Penguin –

"Keep him there. Pygg is still on a killing spree."

Halloween, Gotham. What horrors were being taken care to as Slade was off in Blud starting his own coalition to change a boy wonder into a perfect mistake.

Jason was there, he would be ok…if he made it in time.

"Hear ye! All' a Gotham city will give up the goodies and yer' loot…" Cobblepot aimed his umbrella gun at Tim who was in the way again.

"Or this All Hallow's will certain feel like it's missin' something. C'mon, people! We're on the clock! Either you fess up and treat US fer a change…." The flightless, petticoat wearing bird beaked man pulled out a switch remote from his pocket.

"Or I open the gates ah' hell, an all of Arkham has free dibs on the best houses….your funeral. And the batman? He's gonna need clones ta' take care of me and my pals from the nut house! Wahahaaraaa!"

Tim didn't have the spine to radio his boss as a vine slipped from behind to tangle round his shaken limbs.

"Be a good red bird and call out to your fowl papa…won't you?"

Ivy….this wasn't good. There had –

/

There WAS.

Tim was not only perfect to replace the detective in Bruce, yet Dick could have had the honor long before his turn to the solo end of the wading pond.

Dick was burned out from running. Nightwing was running as cries and screams were bulldozed down.

By a homicidal gorilla.

"You got me set up for life…but there ain't room fer another boss in Blud. I know what you do, kid. I know WHY you came to my city…an' I'll rip yer wimp spine outta yah until you can't put me away again!! I'm gonna gut you like a trout!!"

The gorilla climbed as well, as Dick made it to the stairs of what looked to be a hospital….how dd he end up in here?

Catalina was fast, but he could catch her. She was too cutthroat. She wasn't one to hesitate in pulling the trigger.

But…

~ Blockbuster was reported to have murder dozens of officers in Blud just last week, the body count tripling after the valiant reappearance of the city's mysterious vigilante – Nightwing. ~

Night….Nightwing was a curse. Did Slade know that?? What was going –

The man stormed up the steps as Dick flipped away, another face peering back beyond an orange mask…black hair.

Why did this all –

"Stand down. Roland!"

"I don't wanna take that shit from your mouth, Grayson. Yer daddy long legs got me once, but he can't get you outta what I'm about to –

"Drop your arms and get down!"

"Shove it! You don't win. I –

Catalina fired, and Dick just did nothing at all.

Was he glad? Was it self defense? Didn't that run of the mill mobster deserve a fair trial?

To the stairs, he fled to the roof.

Right as the rain hit his back, he fell to his knees.

"Mi amore…. we did it."

"No…" Dick shook his head, her hands slinking off to find him in the shadows as the rain…

Her skin….why could he feel her warmth?

" Shush……let me take that pain away from you…. there is no need to fight."

A zipper…his suit failing to protect the name, and….

Right now, she took him, make his look at the stars as she straddled the broken Prince of Gotham and now, Bludhaven.

If Slade –

"N- no!"

"Sweetest….my darling." She brought her forehead to his – totally invested in him. Incredibly strung on…

"No, you mustn't stop…. let it go… I shot the mad man…. don't worry anymore…."

She took it, all of it. His member, his privacy. At both vigilantes being nearly the same age; eighteen and nineteen, she took his virginity only the second time, as Slade would be awaiting a third time's the charm come his pet's special day.

No stars, sirens as she mounted him, making that set of eyes squeeze tight as she did not let go.

A spider taking life from any other creature.

A bird – eater, a heart swallower….as his, soon became nothing to anyone.

Nightwing let her take her time and still cried, and cried. He couldn't stop her, couldn't say to get off…

He'd become a vigilante that had lost his way, and now?

Now?

Could he even return to look those he cared about…in the eye?

His city was safe now, but what if things just got worse...

So, wet.

The sounds of her moans were not tempting, but a sick game. Dick let his head crane back to see the sky. He didn't love her. He never had…. why?

Why manipulate him?? Why?

He bawled more, seeing the faces of his faming screaming, bellowing that he give up, turn himself in.

He'd hid the fear back after Red X, after Tokyo….after the Brain's frozen head mocked him to infinity, even after the fight.

This, was one he needed help with as the sirens wailed on. Catalina finished not all at once, scooping up his weathered body to take them to a place she knew. Where no one would find them.

Officer Grayson of the Blud City Police Department, had gone missing one Halloween night.

/

A headline by the next morning, that had Slade smirk so widely, so cruelly. He took a lighter to the page, inches from the sink to not leave stains anyplace else. How he'd HATED the women he was bound to wring dry of her petty victory. It was, after all in the stars that he should save his prince from the widow spider. Silly songbird…

"It's almost time, my red breasted hero…you're initial awakening, has begun."

/

Bruce was wearier than ever, and to sleep in, it had to be bad news.

Tim's life had been saved by Cate and of course the killing machine, Cassandra. After that event, Spoiler had blamed herself for not getting across town while the Pygg had Oracle on a wild goose chase to protect the precinct from his attempts at slaughter.

They all sat in the cave, the lights down and beeping machinery a constant hum of a presence to the battered heroic family.

"I. Hate . Halloween!" Spoiler finally broke down and out, her hands in her hair before she leaned into Cate for some TLC and pats on the back.

Tim had his eyes on Bruce's perturbed state.

While however long it took, Jason was still not giving up.

"Did…did he get to the cave, B?"

"Not yet." Bruce told Tim, Alfred staying by the entrance with a misplaced look to his solid features. He had to be a conscience to his dear friend, the man whom he had raised since he'd lost his only last guides in his life – while now, Bruce had a young flock to steer clear of any dangers.

"Master Jason will review the situation, post haste." Alfred tried to reassure from the sidelines.

"Unless he goes ape on "this" Slade." Stephanie pouted, earning an eye roll from her elder bird of prey.

"Isn't Oracle keeping an eye on them, Bruce?"

Finally, Cassie had something marvelous to include.

"Jason is aware, he and Barbara can cap that crafty merc for us…but, what about the news so far?"

"Dick going missing, you mean?"

The party said not a word, while the radio sounded in the background.

~ We are in the process of locking up the most nefarious criminals in Gotham for tonight, the police will warn citizens who do go out late to be well equipped as our last criminal to book could be workin' from Gotham's underground. If you see anything, report it. Tonight, was an event for the history books that I'd never tell my grandkids…. not in a million years to be sure, that we stay vigilant like the Batman to do away with the injustice running this city – it's for the people, and the GCPD and our fellow officers are on duty every day. Thanks to Batman and his family, we can rest knowing we'll sleep easier…for now. ~

"Well, how about that." Slade heard the press diving in as he raised the tv's volume.

"Where oh where, can that little bird be, I wonder." Looking at his watch, the time was after midnight.

As long as he didn't end up selling his body, he'd still have his career. He was still a hero, deep down. This was supposed to bring them close, to cement that fact that this Slade wasn't going anywhere –

A jutting, an otherworldly - whooshing of a coffee mug came at his head, smashing into the opposite wall into larger, sharp bits.

Slade of his universe was out there.

Damn it.

The man clicked his tongue.

"An annoyance…. such a mistake, Wilson." The fake left the room, knowing he was being haunted by the man he had banished into limbo. Still trapped until someone threw him a sturdy line.

Even Constantine was no closer to solving the mystery. No lesser, no greater reason for being so very curious.

As for the bats' little cluster of outcasts?

They would wait and stay out of Slade's –

The man looked down to find his cell, ringing away.

Ah, the ghost came back?

He let the screen blare back on to white. Letters reading out his face, spelling a threat from someone no longer in hell, anymore.

No.

Another bird wanted to play tag.

Rubbing his temples, Slade was expected elsewhere. This gesture of war would have to be kept on hold.

Why would he bother running after that helmeted brat for another round of punishment? Todd was obviously not aware of the news.

Slade flicked the thing shut and put it back into his pant pocket. Anyway, Todd was a scavenger, one bad egg that needed to be erased from this rather, delicate of equations.

And Slade would be the one to level with the delinquent, while Richard was babysat by another.

While Slade would personally snap every one of Tarantula's eight limbs like breadsticks IF she DARED to mar that perfection.

And, besides…

Slade hummed the tune to Dick's ringtone as he shut the door behind him. Gear and suit neatly packed away for travel purposes; more blood would flow by the next morning. The fates did allow him some leeway in said department.

HE was the only one who could have the distinct pleasure of tearing Grayson's little world apart.

That look she'd gotten…it was as false as her feelings for his little, perfect blue bird.

"Stay calm, Richard." Slade made his swap and took to the roof tops. The robots were as ready to sniff out the napper as he was to ride in on a white horse or to propose with a diamond ring.

All of those, useless.

That smog ridden sky was the limit as he swung off, ready to bash in the head of Dick's pretty little roommate without saying sorry to either teen.

It was his right, his story….

And Dick would bury himself in close, and finally tell Slade to never leave him all alone, ever again.
