a/N: I am writing these on my days off... cause I am utterly tired by the end of the day after work... This story is a little time-consuming. especially since this love story arches offer 4 years. I am going to stick mostly to Emma's point of view however because If I did all angles, it would take me forever to write. Enjoy- S.K.

Introductions Were Made

The next morning, Emma sauntered out of her apartment. She was on her way to the Apple store when she saw a beautiful girl pacing her complex courtyard. "She's not as hot as Regina… but hot," she said to herself when she suddenly flashed on her face. Instead of continuing on her way, she speed-walked over to Mal's apartment. Open the door and was immediately faced with two guns pointed at her. It just didn't phase her anymore, she just continued. "Hey, guys." She paused to look at the guns then kept talking. "Guys, did you know that there's an undercover DEA agent out in the courtyard?"

"Relax," Regina said. "We know."

Then Emma noticed the secure video call on Mal's laptop. "Oh." Unsure she backed up. "Should I go?"

"He can stay," Graham said from the screen.

Emma blinked and came closer to Regina and finally noticed the woman on the screen. She looked awfully familiar. "Uh, uh, who, who are they?" Emma asked.

"Seen but not heard." Mal sneered at the asset. "Being debriefed here."

They turned back to the Video conference with Mills and Graham, where Graham began to speak of the mission. "The diamond is heavily guarded inside of Peyman Alahi's Malibu compound."

"Are they with us?" Emma whispered to Regina.

"Shh!" The brunette answered.

"Mr. Alahi is an international financier for the opium cartel, which is why the Drug Enforcement Administration has asked us to cooperate." General Mills stated. "You'll assist Sabine in acquiring the rock."

"Acquiring?" Emma questioned undoubtedly confused about the brief.

"Shh." Regina reiterated

"You'll take Emma to Alahi's compound to get her Intersect data on his alarm system. Set up the grab for the following day." Graham stated dryly.

Emma blinked she is going on another mission. Like a bonafide spy. She wondered if she would get paid like a spy now.

"Sir, Sabine is a tremendous field agent, but…" Regina paused and looked at the blonde. "we can't trust her. Emma is way too valuable."

"Alahi has friends outside the opium trade," Mills interjected. "We've received intel that he plans on moving the stone within the next 72 hours."

"Uh... I've had dealings with Sabine in the past, too." Mall said a bit sheepishly. "Uh... She could be a bit of a... wild card."

"We're aware of what happened in Prague, Agent Blaize," Graham stated. "which is why you and Agent Mills returned the diamond to us. Under no circumstances should Sabine be entrusted with it."

Curiously, Emma looked at Mal. "What happened in Prague?" Mal gave her a death glare and she faltered. "I-I don't... I don't need to know."

Orders given, the intersect team walked out to the courtyard where the beautiful Sabine awaited taking the sunshine in a bit.

She heard them coming and turned to assess the group. "So, this is your team?"

"My team," Mal stated

Sabine turned and looked at the older woman. She looked her up and down and gave her a slight smirk. "Oh, hello, Maleficent. Nice to see you with your pants on." Finally, her eyes focus on Emma. "Oh. And, uh, who might you be?"

"I'm Em-Emma. The new girl."

"Really?" Sabine said looking at Emma's Genius bar uniform.

"She's an analyst," Regina said

"Hmm." She hums in understanding scrutinizing the young blonde. "She's an analyst."

"Hey, Ems?" Ruby said coming into this scene. She notices the gorgeous black woman talking with her friend and wonders how lucky Emma is to just happen upon such hot girls all the time.

" Another member of your team?" Sabine asked turning to look at the leggy brunette.

"Uh, no," Regina quickly whispered an interjection. "that's Ruby, Emma's best friend. She's a civilian." She turns to smile at the other brunette. "Hey, Ruby, uh, this is my friend Sabine. We used to work together."

"Hello," Sabine said extending a hand.

"Madame Sabine." The younger brunette said with a flourish and a kiss on the other woman's hand.

Sabine smiled and Ruby and Emma left for work. The brunette was in bliss for having met the Sexy Field Agent.

Later at the apple store, Sabine walked in. Ruby saw her and intercepted, her as Emma came out of the back room. The blonde watched the two women interacting, and Ruby left Sabine with a smile.

By that time Regina caught up to her. Emma watched as Regina argued with her. "Emma, you have to fix me up with Sabine."

"No," Emma said, then looked at Ruby's dejected eyes. "I mean... No, actually, I don't think that's such a good idea, Rubes"

Ruby sighed. "Ems, I know what a third wheel is. I know it's me." The brunette stood in front of her best friend and held her shoulders. "Give, give me a chance here, babe. Let, let me be a fourth wheel for once. Or maybe like any other even number."

Emma watched as Regina's posture became a bit more aggressive. Not noticeable to others but definitely to Emma. She had become somewhat of a Regina Connoisseur. "Wait," Ruby said interrupting Emma's watching the women. "You don't think I'm good enough. That's it. Yes."

Emma shook her head emphatically. "No, no. I just, uh…"

Emma, if you can get Regina, that means just about anything is possible."

"Mm-hmm." The blond said distractedly.

"Let me spread my wings here, Babes." Ruby insisted.

Emma sighed and sidestepped her friend. "Fine, fine, I'll see what I can do. But no promises."

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Emma could hear Ruby say as she walked away.

"Well, this is my op and my rules, and you're going to do exactly what I say," Regina stated,

"We'll see about that." The other woman stated as Emma finally reached them.

"Regina, hey?" Emma said smiling slightly. "Sorry to interrupt. Hi, Sabine."

"Hey." The woman smiled

Emma waived. "Can I just talk to you for a second?"

"Sure," Regina said following a bit away from the other woman.

"I need to ask you a favor, and feel free to say no," Emma stated glancing at Ruby as she stood with Killian and Aladdin by the Genius bar. "and by that I mean, say no," Regina looked around at the three, then back at Emma her mind whirling. "but, uh, could you fix Ruby up with Sabine? Make sure you really exaggerate "no" so they can lip-read it. They're a little lame, but I think they can crack no."

Regina smirked and looked at a very hopeful Ruby. "You know, that is a great idea."

"No, it's not," Emma said in shock. "No is the answer. You're supposed to say no."

She continued to shout as Regina walked back toward the other woman.

Sabine was busy looking at an apple watch when Regina finally approached her again. Sabine, you want my help with your mission?"

"I believe those were your orders."

"Then I need your help to protect Emma's cover. You're going on a double date. With Ruby."

Sabine shrugged "Small price to pay." She looked around the room. "Which one of these geeks is Ruby?"

"Red shirt."

She looked at Ruby and a slow smile appeared on her face. She nodded her head when Ruby met her eyes, and the brunette practically danced in excitement. "Oh. Well, that'll be fun."

Later on the double date The four of them sat in Emma's living room just talking. Sabine giggled looking at the two agents. "You guys are so cute, really. You're, like, the cutest couple ever." She said sarcasm was not noticeable in her tone… Except Emma could tell Sabine was enjoying this a bit much.

"Ah, well... Thanks, yeah. We're doing... we're doing good." Emma said.

"Good?" Regina said perching herself on the chair arm. " I'd say we're doing very good, sweetie."

"Well, I stand corrected."

"So, um," Sabine began leaning forward watching for any sign of lying. Emma could tell. " how did you two meet?"

" At work, I guess," Emma said, not understanding what the other woman's angle was. "Right, yeah?"

"Yeah, work," Regina added.

"Gina came into the store with a broken cell phone, like a modern-day damsel in distress," Ruby said thinking their story was adorable.

" I guess you're right," Sabine said looking directly at Regina. "A lot of people who meet at work end up dating."

"Uh, so do you guys want to watch a movie or something?" Regina stated and ran a hand from Emma's scalp and through her luxurious locks

"Good idea... sweetie." Emma said and faltered as Regina's fingers ran through her hair "Yeah, that's great... I rented that penguin movie on prime."

"No, no, no, no, no- a movie's a terrible idea. Don't you think?" Ruby protested and looked to Sabine. "I think that people don't take enough time to get to know each other. All I want to do tonight is find out everything there is to know about Sabine."

The dark woman coed and snuggled close to Ruby. "Really? Like what?"

"Were you always this hot or did you just, like, recently find your hotness?" Ruby asked and Sabine giggled again.

"You're so cute."

Their dinner arrived, and Emma was getting the plates and napkins in the kitchen while Sabine and Regina talked in the Living room. Ruby came up to her. " Dude, Sabine is really into me."

"Yeah, it seems that way, doesn't it?" Emma said the sarcasm was at the tip of her tongue. But she held it back.

"What does that mean?" Ruby asked.

"What?"

"Well, the way you said that. "Seems, " like, why wouldn't she be into me?" Ruby explained.

"No, no, no," Emma amended. "I'm sure. I'm sure that she's into you."

"Really?" Ruby said giddily.

Emma smiled and picked up what she needed to carry to the living room. The two women seemed to be having a tense conversation, so she spoke up to let them know she was coming with Ruby. "Who's up for a hot slice?"

They turned on the documentary and sat all together. The point of the movie was so Ruby didn't ask too many questions. But Emma should have known that Ruby's inquisition would not stop because some boring movie was on TV.

"Do you like to travel?" The younger brunette asked her hot date.

"Mm-hmm, with someone fun," Sabine answered.

"Shh!" Both Emma and Regina said in unison.

"You shh!" Ruby said. "Sorry. Where were you last?"

"Argentina, okay?" Emma shouted annoyed by the banter at the other end of the couch. As far as she knew this Sabine chick was actually into Ruby. And she was stuck with a cold spy as a pretend partner and she was never going to be loved again. " Now will you shut up? They're almost at the Antarctic."

Regina looked at Emma. She wasn't supposed to know that. Sabine eyed the pair and was brought back to the present by Ruby's insistence. "Do you want to get out of here and go to Emma's room or somewhere private?"

Sabine nodded and the two of them walked out of the apartment.

Late that night Ruby kept calling Emma over and over again. She'd had such a good time with Sabine that she couldn't wait to talk to her again. After the third time hanging up her phone, Sabine called. Said there was an emergency and asked The blonde to come to her hotel room.

When Sabine opened the door she was half-naked in lingerie. She was dumbfounded and could not move from where she stood. "Hey, Emma. Use your feet."

Emma looked down at her Chuck Taylors and finally walked into the room. "Where's... where's, uh, your computer?" she asked looking around the room thanking god that her erection could not be seen like a dude's.

"I don't have one," Sabine said pouring two glasses of champagne. "I lied to get you over here."

Emma furrowed her brows as she took the offered champagne flute. "Why would you do that?"

"Because I know you're with us," she answered

"Who's "us"? Who's "with us"?" she asked just holding the flute in her hand and not taking a drink.

"You can't access my file to know about Argentina unless you have a G6 clearance or higher." At that moment Emma realized where she'd failed. "Cheers to spying."

Sabine undressed and showed off her lingerie and came closer to Emma, and she freaked internally. She wondered if she could ever be desensitized to a nice set of breasts coming her way.

"I hope you like what you see," Sabine said

"I should probably call Regina. She should probably be here. I think that it would be important for her to know... "

Sabine laughed. "You're not much of a spy, are you? I don't know how many more clues I can... take off." Sabine pushed Emma onto her bed and straddled her "But if Regina were here, I couldn't seduce you. Unless maybe, you're into that sort of thing."

"Hmm?" Emma said not believing what was happening.

"Or maybe I'm wrong, and you're already sleeping with Regina." Sabine leaned forward and whispered in Emma's ear. "Are you sleeping with Regina, Emma?"

"You know that a Lady never…" Emma started trying to defend Regina's honor

"Oh, got it. Well, that makes sense... considering Daniel."

"Daniel?" Emma said leaning back to look Sabine in the eye. "What are you talking about?"

"What, you don't know about Daniel Colt?" She paused watching Emma catch a clue. "Her boyfriend."
