Morgana, Merlin and Hunith were supposed to be going over place settings, like what the cups and plates would look like and Morgana had like three catalog sized books they had been going through. However, Hunith had to leave midway through, because Uther had wanted a take-out, so that just left Morgana and Merlin alone in the dining room and then Morgana got bored of looking at different cutlery so somehow they ended up in Morgana's old room, and even though she didn't live there anymore, it hadn't changed in the slightest, they might as well be teenagers again. She had music playing softly in the background of some band she probably hadn't listened to in years and Merlin was laying sideways on her bed, on the internet on his phone, while she looked at herself in her floor-length mirror. She had her purple blouse bunched up around her ribs and she kept sticking her stomach out and then sucking it back in, like she was trying to test something.

"Do you see a bump?" she asked. Merlin looked up and she looked just like she always had, bump-free.

"I see a belly button ring you should probably get rid of," he offered, with a bit of sass in his voice. She let out a huffy laugh and flashed him a dirty look over her shoulder.

"Shut up, Leon likes it..."

"Ew, gross..." he made puking noises and she dropped her shirt and flipped him her left middle finger. He wasn't going to comment on that, but he didn't get a chance to either way because right as she began to get closer to the bed a red, footie ball hit her window and made a loud bang. "What the fuck was that?!" Morgana shrugged and headed over to the window that was by her bed, Merlin got up and followed her. They looked upon the backyard, which was kind of off to the side of the house due to the giant pool Uther had, either way from Morgana's window they could see Uther, Arthur and Anthony all kicking around a red ball. Merlin wanted to leave all of a sudden. "I didn't know he was here..."

"I didn't know either, they must've just got here, he's probably dropping off Tony for the weekend," said Morgana. Merlin wanted to call him a bad father but judging by the person who raised him, really...being a shitty father was just a given, Arthur had many more troubling traits far worse than shitty parenting. He watched them play for a second before he addressed something else he was wondering about.

"Why the hell did he do that to his hair?"

"What do you mean?" asked Morgana.

"You know..." Merlin touched his hair, which was different too, meaning it was a little longer and a little shaggier, but not a complete differant color. "Why the black hair?"

Morgana laughed at this, seemingly in a knowing way but Merlin wasn't sure if it was directed toward him or something else. "Vivian," she said with malice. "She said that there could only be one of them in their relationship with blonde hair, and she said she looked better so he had to change it."

"And he did?" asked Merlin kind of surprised, because why was Arthur being such a pushover, was he always like that and Merlin just didn't remember? he thought not because he had always been a bit too stubborn to Merlin.

"He rather do what she says and keep her, I guess."

"But nobody likes her," said Merlin. "He doesn't even seem to."

Yes, Merlin was judging this on one time he rolled his eyes at her, but that had to be telling, didn't it? Morgana shrugged then, and said, "Sometimes it's easier just to be in a relationship, even if it's not the person you want to be with, it's better than being alone."

Merlin couldn't imagine that. Sure, him and Gwaine got into a relationship, but that's because they fell in love, it just made it better that it was easy. Morgana walked away from the window then and fell backward onto the bed. Merlin went back over to the bed as well, and picked his phone up. He didn't want to talk about Arthur anymore, it gave him too much of a sinking feeling in his belly. He changed the subject back to her belly then, and her baby. "Don't you think it's strange that you're growing this thing inside of you and you don't even know what it will be?"

Morgana laughed at this, "It will be a baby."

"No I mean like...will it be a boy, a girl..."

"I've been so worried about everything else I haven't thought about what the baby will actually be," Morgana admitted, she propped herself up on her elbows and looked at Merlin with a smile. "What do you want it to be?"

"All the men in this family suck, so I hope a girl," said Merlin, she laughed at this.

"Leon will want a strapping boy to carry on his legacy probably," she said. "That's the way men are."

"When will you be able to find out what the baby is?" Merlin asked then.

"In a month maybe..."

"That's so long..."

Morgana laughed again, "There are always those wives tales, you know...like the necklace one." Merlin shook his head because he was a dude, and also gay, so he had no idea about ways to figure out a baby's gender. "If the necklace moves one way, it's a boy, the other, it's a girl..."

"I don't know what that is," said Merlin and then he started to google it. "That couldn't really work, could it?"

"Of course it doesn't, it's just silly."

"There are lots of ways to predict a baby's gender," Merlin read then, from the internet. "One way is you could pee in a jar and mix it with Drain-O. and see what color it turns."

"That's disgusting, I'm not doing that," retorted Morgana, but Merlin continued to read.

"The necklace trick is you have a pendent and if if the pendant swings side to side like a pendulum, you're having a boy. If it makes a circle, you're having a girl." Merlin paused then and looked up from his phone. "You have a necklace?"

"Look over there," Morgana pointed to her dresser. "I have all that old gothic jewelry in a box over there."

Merlin looked around on the dresser and found a little black box filled with differant necklaces, some had black roses on them, some skulls. Merlin picked one that was just plain black triangle, in some strange way he thought the other's might scare the baby. He walked back over and gestured for her to lay down. "Lie flat," he said as he crawled onto the bed next to her and she did, he drooped the necklace over her abdomen and it didn't move at all. "What does it not moving mean...?"

"You're holding it too tight," said Moronga.

"How?" retorted Merlin then. "Excuse me, I don't know what I'm doing..."

Suddenly the bedroom door opened and in walked Leon, looking at them with a bit of judgment, as this was a little bit of a strange sight, Merlin couldn't deny that. "What are y'all doing?"

"Having an affair," retorted Morgana, tiredly, as if Leon should just know they were predicting genders over here.

"Uh...ew," said Merlin.

"Yeah," said Leon causally. "I'm with him."

"We're trying to figure out what the baby is going to be," Merlin explained. Leon looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"It's going to be a baby," said Leon. Morgana huffed at this, as if she hadn't said the same thing just a few minutes ago.

"He means a boy or a girl."

"I don't care what it is as long as it is happy and healthy, I don't think more than that really matters."

"That's very mature of you, Babe," said Morgana. "But you're not even the tiniest bit interested?"

Leon cracked then and grinned, "Alright, maybe a little," she playfully rolled her eyes at him then. "What does your witchcraft say it will be?"

"We haven't done it yet," said Merlin. "Morgana was too busy yelling at me."

"I was not yelling," retorted Morgana, Leon ignored this and headed more into the room, getting on the bed now, too. Which, Merlin had to admit, was a little strange. This was a weird family after all. "I was directing you..."

"Don't mind her, she's bossy," said Leon then, taking the necklace from Merlin, who gave it over rather willingly.

"Oh," he commented, as he did. "I know."

(A/N: Hello, I decided to update again even though I did originally plan on waiting a few days more to do so, I figure I have it and I have nothing better to do so I might as well. I know this chapter seems a bit mundane, but I think it's cute and just shows the sibling-bond/friendship Morgana and Merlin have, which is very important for this story. Everyone in this story is obsessed with her, as am I, so I'm not mad about it. Either way, I hope you all enjoyed, I know it wasn't riveting and dramatic as hell, but this story has enough of that and we did get a little bit of the weird backstory on Arthur's hair of all things, so there is that...)
