She wanted to continue. She wanted to push more, but Noah still slept at the other end of the couch. She reluctantly pulled away, "l think I need to get a certain little boy to his bed," her voice came out in a breathless whisper.

His lips were still brushing against hers and her tongue tingled with anticipatory desire. "Probably should," his lips brushed against hers with every syllable.

She felt almost tipsy when she pulled out of his space and stood to wake Noah.

Noah complained in a groggy, almost unintelligible voice, about not being tired but he barely managed to stay standing as Olivia practically dragged him down the hallway. He was asleep before his head hit the pillow. She turned off the lights and shut the door behind her.

She took a deep breath before turning back towards the living room. She leaned into the wall with her arms crossed. "Bed?" She tilted her head towards his room and held out her hand. He pulled himself off the couch and grasped her offered hand.

Their normal bedtime routine continued, but something felt different. Her body begged for sleep, but her mind wouldn't shut up. She snuggled her back into Elliot's chest, creating a deep spoon. One of Elliot's hands rested on her hip with his fingers towards her ass. The other was tucked under her head. She felt his warm breath on the back of her neck, sending shivers through her with every exhale.

Her body felt tense. A current of electricity filled the air. She felt the undeniable feeling of anticipation.

Elliot's slow, even breathing tricked her into believing he was asleep, but his fingers started to draw light circles on her hip and towards her ass. His fingers skirted her panty line, The lightness of his touch creating a tingling sensation down her legs. She tried to keep her breathing steady, but her heart was pounding.

His fingers continued dancing across her skin, eventually ducking underneath her shirt. Her breath caught as his fingers danced lightly across the bare skin of her abdomen, and circling her belly button. She thought she might be undone, by this touch alone, but he splayed his fingers and pressed more deeply against her skin. He slid his hand further up her shirt, feeling every curve of her body, and she couldn't breathe evenly anymore.

His lips came behind her ear, asking, "This okay?" He brushed her hair away from the back of her neck and planted some kisses there.

"Yeah," her voice was so breathy she hoped he heard her.

Apparently he did because that wandering hand slipped under her leggings, feeling the bone of her hip and her upper thigh. He toyed with the top of her panties. The arousal became too much and she could no longer be a passive participant.

A hum broke through her lips causing him to press deeper. She turned into him, immediately meeting his mouth with hers. His tongue found hers, and he let out a pleasured groan. He rolled her on top of him, continuing to kiss her, deep and hard. The change of positions allowed his hands greater freedom to explore.

She pulled his bottom lip into her mouth while his hands swiftly moved up her back to unsnap her bra. With that task complete he sat up into her. Her legs wrapped around his middle and he pressed his hands up her sides, feeling her up before tossing her shirt to the floor.

This slow burning fire picked up speed and she yanked his shirt over his head. The bare skin of her body pressed into his as his lips trailed down her neck and chest. His hands moved up her back pressing her deeply into him. She felt her naked skin push against the heat radiating from his chest. He sucked at a place just below her jaw, and whispered, "I need to see you," before rolling her back underneath him. He pulled back, just for a moment. He felt his eyes roam over her. "God Liv, you're so beautiful." For the first time ever, she'd nearly forgotten about her scarring during sex. It was an always present, ominous reminder of the abuse she endured, but not with Elliot. He knew about them, he accepted them as if they were just another beautiful feature of her body. Proof of her survival. Proof she walked through the innermost circle of hell and survived. He ran his fingers down the center of her body, lovingly caressing every mark and ever scar. His lips roamed down her chest and along the scars linimg her breast. The sensation was fire.

She was nearly panting by the time her hands reached for his belt, loosening it. She easily unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. With his pants out of the way she could feel all of him pressed against all of her.

His lips were suddenly against her ear, his hushed tone sent shudders of arousal through her. "God Liv, you are so perfect. So f-ing perfect."

Those words echoed through her mind as they continued their to rush towards blissful oblivion together.

-000-

Elliot's hands still pressed all over her naked body as they slept. It felt so perfect. So right. Like everything in their lives had led up to this moment. Like this was the place they were supposed to be all along.

She turned her body towards him, letting his arms shift around her as she rested her hands against his bare chest. She placed a lingering kiss to his neck, and marveled at how far they'd come. Their lives had been filled with so much disappointment and pain, but it all felt worth it to be here, with the man she loved. The man she'd loved forever. And he loved her. Adored her. That was more than evident from the events of this early morning.

Elliot shifted in his sleep and she made out a sleepy, "Olivia," fall from his lips.

Her heart nearly burst and she pressed another kiss to his throat before whispering, "I love you." She then drifted away into a peaceful sleep.

Epilogue

Olivia hurried through the school's double doors. She was late, but considering how her day had gone, she was lucky to be here at all. She pulled up the email from the school on her phone to retrieve the room number where Noah's art show was being held. As she hurried down the hall she texted Elliot:

I'm here. Sorry I'm so late.

Her phone pinged with his response.

We're okay. We've had lots of visitors to keep him busy.

She was nearly to the classroom, but she texted him anyway.

Oh good. Who came?

Another quick ping:

Mama, Katie, Maureen and the boys.

Her heart swelled at the Stabler kids' obvious attempts to include Noah as a precious part of their family.

Just then, she made it through the classroom door. She stomach leaped when she saw him standing next to one of Noah's art pieces, his arm proudly around Noah's shoulder. God she loved him.

She snuck up to them and slid her hand lightly down his back before greeting him, "Hey," her voice came out more affectionate than she planned it to.

He grinned and placed a quick kiss on her cheek. The look in his eyes communicated the desire for more than that, but she appreciated his restraint in their elementary school setting.

He let go of Noah's shoulder, and he ran towards her, wrapping his arms tightly around her middle. "You made it!" He laid his head against her for a moment before pulling back. "Is it okay if I look at some of my friends' art?"

"Of course sweet boy." Olivia answered and he grinned, waving as he rushed over to talk with a friend.

Elliot's hand found hers, knitting their fingers together. "How was work?" His face leaned close to hers and that alone left her breathless. She wasn't sure how they were ever going to work together again if she continued to melt into a puddle when he looked in her direction.

"Busy. Frustrating. You know, a normal day at SVU." She leaned in to him slightly. This was one of the things she loved most. Having someone to talk to, vent to, cry to, at the end of a long day.

He rushed another glancing kiss across her cheek. And she felt a blush rushing to her cheeks. "El," she scolded. "School event, remember."

His arm came around her waist so the entire side of her body pressed against his. "No one's watching." He gave her that self satisfied smile.

She shook her head in mock frustration, trying to keep herself from smiling. "I'm going to be the talk of the next PTA meeting."

He laughed lightly before raising his voice an octave, mimicking the school Karen's, ".Did you see Olivia Benson at the art show? Tangled up with some hulk of a man." His eyes danced with amusement and she smacked his chest.

"You're an idiot,"she laughed.

His other hand grasped at her other hip, pulling her back agaisnt him. He placed a kiss behind her ear and she suddenly couldn't breathe. Damn it.

"But I'm your idiot," muttered behind her ear.

Damn. They needed to get out of here before she did something horrifically inappropriate… like jumping him in the school bathroom. God, they needed to get out of here.

His voice was behind her ear again, "Should we see if Noah's ready to go home?"

Home. It was no longer a place, but a person. Wherever they were, they'd be home as long as they were together. Together . With Elliot. Her person. The only one she desperately loved. Her shelter from the storms of life. Her everything.

"Yeah," she grinned, and gave him a solid kiss on his lips. "Let's go home."

Thank you for joining me on the journey of my FIRST fic ever! I loved this story so much. It practically wrote itself. I wish it could have kept going, but it feels finished and I felt like continuing would feel forced.

HOWEVER! There will be some "bonus scenes" in the future. Probably just scenes I cut from the original piece or scenes set further ahead than this ending. Watch for those.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS ! Interacting with readers is what makes these projects rewarding! THANK YOU!!
