Daniel dragged emma out of the hospital room. Her Handlers unwilling to pull the trigger for her safety.
Emma hated needles. But the hypodermic needle at her neck had to be at least two inches long. Out in the hallway, Mal and Regina followed their charge. Regina asked the guards outside to stand down and the two followed.
"Put it down Daniel, we're all on the same side here." Regina said Hoping brice would not hurt his friend.
"WHich side is that?" Daniel asked
"I'm just going to shoot him." Mal said.
"No, no shooting. I'm susceptible to bullets." Emma stated
THe two of them reached the elevator they called it but it needed an access code to leave the floor.
"The access code or I'll kill her Regina." Daniel said
"Between you and me, " Emma said, her voice going high in fear. "I think he means it."
"1602" Regina stated and Daniel punched in the access code then the door closed.
THen Daneiel let Emma go… "You know I wouldn't do that, RIght?"
"No, Daniel, I didn't know. How would I know that?"
"WHat is Regina doing here?' He asked.
"She's protecting me!" Emma screamed back at him "And so is Mal, we're the good guys okay? You need to stop this before someone, namely me gets hurt."
"No we're slowing down." Daniel said and grabbed Emma again "Let me go or he gets…"
Daniel trailed off because as the door opened, there was only one person standing at the other side of the door. Someone Emma Flashed on and was no good. Sidney Glass Fulcrum Agent, formerly CIA was standing in front of them.
"Step back," Daniel said
"Okay…" Sidney said not really caring. "Wouldn't want you to kill some random person, I would just feel aweful."
"Tell your people that I'm gone." Daniel said.
"Come on.. I'm being nice right now. Lets just walk out of here together. Chum to chum."
"We were never chums."
"Ouch, no my feelings are hurt." Sidney said, "You're going to run again aren't you."
Daniel let the doors close again and let Go of Emma. "Who was that?" she asked.
"NO body."
"WHat's Fulcrum?" Emma asked.
Daniel looked at Emma, "Where did you hear that?"
Emma pointed at her head. "The intersect." Her movement still in shock after what she had seenin the flash. "I have these flashes."
"That's right, you can remember it's intel…" Daniel said a soft smile coming to his lips. "Is it always that fast?"
"What is Fulcrum, Daniel?" Emma asked more forcefully. "Who are they? and how do they know you?
Daniel began to look around the cabin for an escape. He pressed the emergency button. "This is my stop."
"NO wait, I have millions of questions." Emma insisted.
"Emma, this is going to sting a little." Daniel said then he injected her on the arm. "Tell Regina it's hard to say goodbye."
SHe fell limply on the floor of the elevator as Daniel climbed the shaft. When finally they got the door open Regina and Mal were there to rescue her. He hadn't given her a full dose so she was up on her feet by the time she was headed home.
Regina told her that they weren't going todo anything about brice, because brice knew how to disappear. But Still she hadn't had that conversation with Regina… the one where Emma wanted her back even if it was just as a fake girlfriend.
"It's someone elses job to look for him. " Regina said. "We all have our assignment."
"Right, so what does this mean for us?" Emma asked.
Regina shook her head. "Nothing You're protected."
"No I mean What does it mean for us. Your and my fake relationship?" Emma stated again. "You and Daniel were… You're not making this easy."
"Hello ladies" Kathryn said coming up behind Regina.
"Hey sis." Emma said.
"Hi Kathryn." Regina said.
"Regina its' so nice to see you."
"You too. Regina reciprocated.
Kathryn looked to Emma and then back to Regina and asked. "Are you coming to THanksgiving?"
Regina looked to Emma with a smiled and answered. "Of course."
Emma was surprised but said nothing at all. It was what she wanted after all, but again, THere was no straight answer from the woman.
After a full day of training with the Apple store team and learning the importance of the word "Pineapple" in dire situations while in the store. Emma was free to relax for the rest of the holiday with her Family.
When she got home with the groceries, she found Mal standing in the middle of her living room. And Kathryn frantically finishing up preparations. "What are you doing here?"
"Well.. You sister invited me to dinner." Mal stated
Kathryn came and gathered the bags from Emma. "Really?"
"Oh Yes…" Mal stated
"Hey… I have a question for you." Emma asked Mal. "What do you think Daniel meant when he said Mal Care to try again? Call me crazy but I have a feeling like it was you… who killed him."
"Good guess." Mal answered.
"Are you serious?" Emma asked. "Does Regina Know about that?"
"It's in my report."
"Why would you…do that" Emma said… "Why would you kill Daniel?"
"Orders." Mal stated, "I mean this is a very dangerous Human being Emma when you get a chance to shoot Daniel Colt you shoot to kill."
They were interrupted by Fred. Mal went into the kitchen to help and Emma was left in the dining room with Kathryn. She hadn't had the chance to let her know about Dorothy. "Sis, Ruby is binging a date."
"A real someone, or an imaginary someone" Kahtryn asked sarcastically.
"Uh.. Real. And she is very nice." Kathryn's eyes lit up and she turned to look at her sister. "And um.."
"She, you said she…" Kathryn interrupted.
"Yeah, Dorothy, Ruby;s girlfriend." Emma stated. "There could be a bit of an issue because she knows how much Ruby loves you"
"What are you talking about?" Kahtryn asked
Emma handed Kathryn Mal's drink and headed for the door. "Just remember is not my fault."
She ran to open the door SHe greeted Regina and Ruby and Dorothy, and Ruby introduced Dorothy to Dorothy who brought a casserole to share.
Dorothy was a little snarky, but Kathryn was thrilled to have Ruby off her back for the night.
All of them made their way to the table and where eating. When Ruby noticed there were no marshmallows on her sweet potatoes. Emma stated that she had them in the car and slid out of the chair to get them. As she walked back from the car with the Marshmallows, Daniel stepped out fo the shadows.
"Hey Emma" Daniel said.
"Regina and Mal are right inside, one girlish scream from me and they are out here in combat mode." Emma warned
"Relax, is this your place?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah me and my sis live here." Emma stated
Daniel blinked in surprise. "You live with your sister?" SHe looked around. "What happened Emma? What happened to you? I thought you would have been a software billionaire by now. THe first lady of the gaming world."
How dare he even judge her? Emma was incensed she did well enough to stand there and not kick him in the balls. "You got me kicked out of Stanford, that's what happened." Emma stated.
"I need to talk To Regina, Can you bring her to me? Without Mal," Daniel asked not really interested in Emma's excuse.
"Why would I help you?" Emma asked still angry at the previous comment.
"Because of Fulcrum." He stated. "That guy in the elevator? He works for them." That much she already knew. "And they want the intersect Emma, they want you."
