Bonus scene!? Wha what? Hope you enjoy!
keep in mind these are probably not in any chronological order..
It was later in the evening before he made it to her place. He had a family dinner scheduled with his kids, and he finally chased the last of them off before heading to Olivia's.
He used his key to get in. Noah must have been sleeping because it was quiet. A dim light was left on in the kitchen, and he saw light streaming from Liv's bedroom. He made it down the hall and pushed the door open wider. "Hey," he said softly.
"Hey," her eyes darted to him, and then back down to her computer.
He kicked his shoes off, and pulled his shirt over his head before getting onto the bed and dropping onto his stomach next to her.
Her fingers continued clicking against her keyboard, "Busy day?" She asked without looking up.
He turned his face towards her, "No, Bell's kept it pretty light today. I suspect she is worried a certain Captain might inflict bodily harm if anything happens to me."
"Not a bad assumption," he sensed a smile brewing behind her serious facade.
"I love you."
Her eyes flit to his and then back to her screen. She couldn't hide her smile anymore, "I know."
"No I love you back?" He feigned offense.
She chuckled and eyed him over her glasses,"Fine. I love you, you idiot."
"Just what I needed," shooting her his best goofy grin.
He rolled over on his side and scooted himself onto the pillow next to her. "You know I can't ride the desk forever right?" He planted a kiss on her upper arm.
She shut the laptop, realizing she wasn't going to get any work done with him there. She dropped her laptop and glasses onto her nightstand and rolled over onto her side to face him. "I know," she bit her lip, "but at least I'd know you're safe."
"I'm careful," he insisted.
"Says the man with a healing gunshot wound…" she brushed her hand over the newly healed wound.
"That was a fluke thing. Normally, we have a better read on things."
Her fingers still traced the fresh scar line, and she said nothing. He grasped her fingers and her eyes met his. He pulled her closer and both her hands laid on his chest. "What are you thinking right now?" He whispered.
He watched her blink back tears and shake her head. After a few moments she gained enough control to speak, "You nearly bled out El." Her voice shook with emotion. "That's not nothing. When I'm here, sleeping alone, all I hear is Fin telling me you were shot, and Ayanna telling me it was bad, and then I'm stuck in that terrifying moment when your doctors approached and I had no idea whether you lived or died." She was full-on crying now. "God. El. I can't do that again. I can't."
He tightened his arms around her and her wet cheek laid against his bare chest. "I'm sorry." He kissed her forehead, "but, you know as well as I do that this job is part of me," he whispered, "it's part of you too. And there's risk involved, but who are we without it?" He kissed her gently, "When I'm finally cleared I promise I'll be more careful. Less reckless."
She wiped away some tears before letting out a small laugh, "Elliot Stabler? Not reckless? Ill believe it when I see it."
"Really Liv, I'll be more careful." He kissed her again, with meaning, "I want to spend every bit of time I have left on this earth with you. I wouldn't do anything to cut that time short."
She nodded, and he knew she hadn't been completely convinced, but she let it drop. She snuggled into his chest and dropped a kiss to his chest, and tilted her head up to kiss his throat. Her arms slid up his chest and around his neck, and she brought her lips to his. She tugged on him, and he rolled on top of her, continuing to kiss her deeply.
She slipped her tongue into his mouth, sweeping her tongue against his. Her hands pushed into his back and his hands slid underneath her body, gripping her ass before rolling her on top of him.
"Is this your way of convincing me to continue to ride the desk?" He asked while continuing to kiss her.
"Is it working?" She asked as she swept her tongue into his mouth again.
He groaned in response and pushed up her shirt. "That might depend on how far you're willing to take this." She caught his smirk before he pulled her shirt over her head.
She kissed him more deeply, and he was sure he would comply with anything she asked if they could continue this.
She let her bra straps drop from her shoulders and brought her mouth close to his, "I think you know exactly how far I'd go."
Her lips covered his and he thought he could happily do desk work forever if he could always come home to this. He tugged at the wristband of her pants, and she was nearly panting. "At this point," he muttered, while she planted a row of kisses down his chest, "you might have me convinced."
"Good," she breathed, as his fingers unclasped her bra and tossed it to the floor.
