The sound of someone peacefully dreaming could be hear until the sound and pressure of a helicopter landing woke them up from their peaceful slumber.
Letting out a massive yawn Lincoln rubbed his eyes as he one up from a nice nap. Lincoln was confused for about five seconds until he remembered what had transpired.
His family despite all the BS he has to put up with had the nerve to forget that yesterday was his 12th birthday and that he decided to run away to a land called Galar to become a Pokemon trainer.
'Wow for a second I thought that none of this was real but now I'm seeing all of this right before my eyes.' thought Lincoln to himself as he began stretching causing a popping sound to be heard from his back.
"Okay sir we are here in the Galar region, or more specifically we ware in the town of Wedgehurst. Now I'm gonna get some coffee and maybe take a nice little nap before I go back to the states, is there any questions you want to ask me?"Asked the pilot as he turned to face Lincoln, giving Lincoln enough time to put on his fake mustache and beard.
"Oh if you don't mind can you tell me where Professor Magnolia lives?"Asked Lincoln with a fake gruff voice.
"Sure I believe she lives down on route two last I heard."said the pilot as he and Lincoln got out of the helicopter.
"Thanks, my Rotom phone should be able to help me find my way from here you just get your coffee and maybe a donut or something since you have helped me out more than you think."said Lincoln as he pulled out his Rotom phone and quickly activated the maps feature to find route two.
"Thanks, man no matter how many of these trips I do a year I can never get used to the long commute."said the pilot as he and Lincoln parted ways as they entered Wedgehurst.

(Twenty minutes later)
After asking around the town and avoiding what Lincoln assume had to be Pokemon on his way through route two, Lincoln had finally arrived at his destination.
Just in front of him was a large house that looks like it was twice the size of his former home.
'Well you made it this far Lincoln might as well see it through to the end.' thought Lincoln to himself as he began knocking at the door.
A few moments later someone answered the door. Opening the door was a woman about Pop-pop's age with grey hair that was neatly combed. For attire she wore a yellow sundress but the most distinctive part of her clothing was the lab coat and strange looking walking stick she had on her.
"Hello, can help you sir?"Asked the old woman causing Lincoln to look at her with confusion until he realized he was still wearing his fake mustache and beard.
"Oh excuse me for one second."said Lincoln as he removed his fake mustache and beard before continuing."Now that that is out of the way are you Professor Magnolia?"Asked Lincoln.
"Yes I am now do you mind explaining me who you are young man although I have a good feeling who you are based on appearance alone."responded the Professor confirming her identity.
"My name is Lincoln Loud ma'am and l believe in your letter you said you were an old friend of my grandfather Albert."answered Lincoln with a smile.
"Just as I suspected as you have his hair. No kidding you look like an exact miniature version of your grandfather down to the turkey tail...Oh my, so my letter did get to you, does that mean you want to apply for a Pokemon trainer's license?"Asked the professor.
"Yes I do Professor..."said Lincoln as he hesitated for a moment, but not because he was missing his family no it was because he didn't feel right to lie to such a nice lady who was a friend of his grandfather.
"Professor Magnolia do you mind if we speak inside?"Asked Lincoln getting a confused look out of the professor before getting a knotted agreement and moving out of the way so he could come in.
Inside after sitting down with a cup of tea Lincoln explained to her that he ran away from home. Before she could react to the shock however the Rotom phone left Lincoln's pocket and in its own words told Professor Magnolia to calm down and hear him out. After controlling herself she decided to give Lincoln the benefit of the doubt.
Thanking her Lincoln went on to explain why he ran away from home including a bunch of other reasons why he couldn't take living in that house anymore. Professor Magnolia was skeptical at first until the Rotom phone started showing her the data it collected from the Loud house servers proof that Lincoln was telling the truth. From the sister fight protocol, beat downs at the hand of Lynn during her lucha libre training, Luan's extreme pranks, Lola's blackmail, the rudeness of barging into his bedroom constantly without permission and making a mess, And finally there was a certain where Lincoln was forced to sleep outside like an animal although he didn't go into too many details on that.
Professor Magnolia was completely speechless as she could not believe that a family would put one of their children through all of this, she would never put anyone through this, even if that person was her worst enemy.
"My goodness Lincoln does Albert know anything about this?"Asked Professor Magnolia even though she couldn't imagine her friend being involved in any of this.
"No he doesn't since he lives in a retirement home on the other side of Royal Woods and he doesn't own a cell phone so the only way we can contact him is during our visits and I can't exactly tell him any of this with my family around to eavesdrop. Besides Professor Magnolia you should already know the answer that my grandfather isn't that kind of man."explain Lincoln who was twirling his thumbs as he had basically said a bunch of things he needed to let out for a long time.
"Yes you're right about that Albert would never approve of any of this. While I do not approve of you running away I do understand why you did a young man because honestly it's safe to say that you have been through a lot."said Professor Magnolia and she was sympathetic to Lincoln after seeing all the photos and videos of him having to suffer at the hands of his family.
"Yeah and don't get me wrong I'm just as much to blame for some of those incidents but I would never go as far as to do those things to my family, and even after all the...headaches they have given me and everything I try to do for them they had the nerve to forget my birthday, the one day I asked for a year."said Lincoln who appeared like he was about to cry but wiped away his tears quickly.
"Yes I know how you feel as everyone at least needs one special day."agreed the Professor.
"That is why I came all the way here so I can become a Pokemon trainer,not just because I want to have the adventure of the lifetime but because I want to be emancipated that way even if my family finds out where I am they can't do anything about it since I'm tired of putting up with all of their... wacky behavior."said Lincoln with the final part being nicer than what he thought in his head.
"Yes I understand, but before I can trust you to help me with my research you must answer me some questions Lincoln."
"Sure Professor Magnolia I have no problem answering your questions."
""Good now first question what do you think about Pokemon?"asked the Professor but it didn't take long for Lincoln to reply.
"Honostly I think they're one of the most amazing things ever as I can't believe creatures creatures like this have actually existed around humanity all this time and I had no idea they existed. Honestly the main reason I'm here is so I can see these Pokemon myself face to face."
"Good, now second question why do you want to become a Pokemon trainer?"Asked the professor and she was satisfied with the first answer as she saw no dishonesty in Lincoln's eyes.
"To have the chance to go on a adventure of the lifetime meeting new friends and seeing what this world has to offer."answer Lincoln with full honesty as that was the main reason why he was here in the first place.
"Good, final question,...what was the main reason you came to Galar?"
"Honestly they are several main reasons but one of them was to meet you since you are an old friend of my grandfather, and if he was here at one point he must have known about Pokemon. I wonder if he was like a Pokemon trainer or something since knowing how awesome he is it's most likely true."said Lincoln with a sincere smile on his face.
"You can say that."said Professor Magnolia with a smile on her face as she could tell right away that Lincoln admired Albert a lot."Well I'm satisfied with your answers so allow me to take you to the room where you will be taking your test."said Professor Magnolia as you took a sip of her tea before getting up from the couch where she did motion for Lincoln to follow her.
Lincoln did not argue and followed her to a room next to a roll of books. In the room was a desk and on that desk with several books about Pokemon as well as an answer answer booklet where Lincoln would give the answers to the questions in the booklet in multiple choice fashion.
"You will have two hours to complete your test, you may use the books next to you to find the answers since I believe this is the best way to memorize everything you will need to know about Pokemon."said Professor Magnolia she closed the door.
Lincoln wasted no time so after popping his fingers he ran to the desk and immediately opened a book as he began speed reading through it because he was more driven than ever in his life to study and pass this particular exam.

(Two hours later)
Lincoln was sitting at his desk nervously as he was waiting for Professor Magnolia to arrive back with the results of the test. Lincoln knew he may have screwed up on those final answers but he did his absolute best and that's all that mattered.
As Lincoln waited for his results he couldn't help but wonder something.
"I wonder if my "family" has even discovered that I am gone." said Lincoln to himself as he had no idea what was going on in Royal Woods.

[Royal Woods: Loud Residence]
While Lincoln was waiting for the results of his test, things were an entirely different story in Royal Woods.
Back on twelve sixteen Franklin avenue the rest of the Loud family had just barely woken up from their slumber as they all came home last night late after finishing their respective activities.
On the first for the parents of the Loud children had just gotten up from their beds and just got fully dressed as they prepared for the day. As soon as they left their room they heard the door unlocking and saw it was their oldest child Lori coming in for breakfast as she just barley arrived from Fairway University, as she promised to come home every weekend.
"Hey Mom and Dad, looks like I got home just in time for breakfast."said Lori as she and her parents hugged.
"It's good to see you sweetie, just sit down at the table as I get the rest of your siblings."said Rita as her husband went to the kitchen while Lori went to the dinning room to sit down in her usual chair.
"Alright I want to hear feet on the floor!"Yelled Rita getting a loud thump in response."You too Lincoln!"
Only this time there was no thump, which confused Rita as Lincoln always got up after being asked.
"Lincoln I said I wanted feet on the floor!"Yelled Rita only to once again to get no response from Lincoln.
"Lincoln I'm coming up to wake you myself!"exclaimed Rita as she began walking up the stairs to wake her son, who in her mind was still asleep.
As Rita got to the second floor, The Loud sisters fully dressed looked on with some of them snickering as Lincoln was in trouble. Meanwhile Rita opened the door and went over to wake Lincoln.
The Loud family was doing their usual activities until they hear their mother/wife scream. Acting fast they all went towards Lincoln's bedroom as fast as they could.
Once they arrived they saw Rita visibly shaken as he pointed to the bed, where the family saw the fake decoy Lincoln set up to buy himself some time as he made his way to Galar.
"Where is Lincoln because that is so like not Lincoln?"Asked Leni as she could tell that was not her brother but a ball with a white wig on it.
"What's going on I checked on him last night and he was there! Or maybe he wasn't since I was so tired I only way white hair."said Lynn Sr who mentally slapped himself.
"Lincoln come on out because this is literally not funny?"Asked Lori as she began looking for Lincoln.
"Yeah and I should know since I know funny."said Luan who joined her.
"Lincoln come on out right now or it's a German suplex for you!"Yelled Lynn as she joined the search.
"I'll try his tracking chip."said Lisa only to see that the chip was fried as it did not appear on screen."What in Einstein's theory of relativity?"
Soon the Whole family began looking around trying to find Lincoln, who had to be in the house.
The Lana, Lola and Lucy began searching the Attic as Lori and Leni searched the basement. Meanwhile there parents checked the garage as Luna and Luan checked the backyard. Lynn was lifting furniture to see if Lincoln was there as Lisa checked to see if her tracker has still working with Lily next to her for support.
After about ten minutes of searching the Loud family regrouped in the living room.
"Anything?"Asked Lynn Sr.
"No we checked the whole Attic, Lucy even checked the spooky back corner and he wasn't there."answered Lola.
"Nothing in the basement?"responded Leni.
"Nothing in the backyard Pop's."answered Luna.
"I moved all of the furniture and nothing."said Lynn with some shame.
"Lily and Lisa no find him."responded Lily.
"Maybe he went over to one of his friends houses."said Rita with optimism.
The others agreed with the same optimism so they decided to head over to each of his friends house's since he had no idea what their phone numbers were.
Washing no time the Loud family either got in Vanzilla or got in Lori's car to go to each on Lincoln's friends houses to try to find Lincoln.

[Wedgehurst]
Around then same time Lincoln heard the door to the room he was in opening. Lincoln looked and saw it was Professor Magnolia coming in.
"So... how did I do Professor?"Asked Lincoln getting a smile in response.
"While you did miss a few answers you manage to pass with a seventy five percent, congratulations Lincoln Loud, you are now a official Pokemon trainer."said Professor Magnolia she as she handed Lincoln a card.
Lincoln took the card and immediately recognized it as a license with his picture on it and everything. Lincoln mentally smile to himself as he was now legally emancipated from his family.
"Now then in have no Pokemon to give you at the moment but let me at least show you where you will be staying for the night while I get a Pokemon for you."
"Wait...I'm not staying here."asked Lincoln.
"I wish I could but I'm afraid there are only two bedrooms in this house. One is used by me and the other one is used by my granddaughter. But don't worry Lincoln a friend's who lives nearby has already agreed to let you stay with her in her guest bedroom."answered Professor Magnolia with a smile.
"Oh well...at least I get to say somewhere."said Lincoln with optimism as he sorta expected to begin his journey with his Pokemon that day, but he knew to be patient, that and the fact he was now legally emancipated made him to happy to care.
So without any delay Lincoln followed Professor Magnolia to her friends house.
About twenty minutes later Lincoln and Professor Magnolia left Wedgehurst and began to walk towards Postwick, a farming town nearby that was in walking distance.
As Lincoln was following the Professor something unexpected happened when out of nowhere a boy about his age ran towards them.
"Hop?"said Professor Magnolia as she was not expecting him.
"Hey Professor I just heard from my mum that a boy from the United States just came here and earned his trainer's license."said Hop with a huge grin on his face.
"Yeah that would be me."said Lincoln getting Hop's attention.
"So your the grandson of the Professor's friend. Hi I'm Hop and it's nice to meet you."said Hop as he extended his hand in friendship, which Lincoln returned.
"Hi Hop I'm Lincoln and it's great to meet you."
"So I hear you don't have a Pokemon yet but don't worry I got you covered."
"Huh?"Asked Lincoln
"Lee is coming home in a few hours and I know he is bringing Pokemon with him. I already talked to him and he has agreed to give you a Pokemon."said Hop who was having a hard time controlling his excitement.
"Wow thanks Hop you have no idea how much this means to me."said Lincoln with sincere honestly.
"No problem, I'll pick you up at Mrs Taylor's in a little bit to get you sorted out."said Hop as he ran off.
"Lee?"Asked Lincoln as Hop disappeared into the distance.
"That would be Leon, Hop's older brother and the champion of the Galar Pokemon League."
"Wow he must be strong."
"Incredibly since he has never lost a Pokemon battle in his life "said Professor Magnolia causing Lincoln to whistle as he was honestly impressed as now he wanted to meet Leon now more that just a few moments ago.
Professor Magnolia just chuckled a bit before the two went on third way.
About another twenty minutes later the two arrived at a house at the far end of Postwick. Lincoln particularly noticed the dense woods nearby.
After coming up to the house Lincoln knocked on the door and a woman about his mom's age answered the door.
The woman was wearing a white sweater covered by blue coveralls with matching white boots with flower patterns on them.
"Mrs Taylor allow me to introduce you to Lincoln Loud."said the Professor as Lincoln just waved in response.
"Oh so this is Albert's grandson. It's nice to meet you Lincoln I'm Mrs Taylor and you will be staying with me until you officially begin Pokemon journey."said Mrs Taylor with a smile on her face.
"Thanks Mrs Taylor I'll try to be on my best behavior."said Lincoln was Mrs Taylor motion for him to come inside.
Lincoln walked in after wiping his shoes on the doormat and made his way to the living room. There he decided to hang out until Hop arrived to pick him up to get his Pokemon.
'I wonder who my first Pokemon will be? Guess I'll just have to wait to find out.' thought Lincoln to himself as he sat down on the couch.
As he waited Lincoln decided to check out some of the features on the Rotom phone as he waited for Hop to come by so that he could get his first Pokemon.
Phew...just finished this chapter. Anyway the wait is over as next chapter Lincoln gets his starter Pokemon. Who do you believe his daughter Pokemon won't be? You just read the next chapter to find out and remember my two story's will have different starters.
