Chapter 3

This week, Professor Agasa was attending a seminar, He asked Shinichi and Rei to accompany Shiho while he was out of town. Now, Shinichi is an NPA agent, he works with Shiho under Rei's supervision.

"Shiho, I will drive you home, but i'm sorry after that I must accompany Ran, she wanted to go to the cinema at 7 PM", the detective guy smiled.

"Don't worry, Kudou-kun, my work is completely done, I will drive Shiho home today", Rei grabbed his suit, then he walked to his friend's table.

"Send my greeting to Mouri, Kudou-kun", Shiho replied to Shinichi,The detective boy left the room.

"Let's go home, Shiho. How about dinner at Poirot?" Rei suggested.

"Why go to Poirot when my boyfriend is the former chef there?", She looked into his eyes, then smiled teasingly. Rei and Shiho's relationship runs smoothly, they tease and argue with each other frequently. Rei wanted to propose to Shiho on her birthday next week, he already bought the ring, He remembered that ring while he was driving his princess home, and he smiled widely.

"What about that smile, Furuya?" the girl in the passenger seat asked him curiously.

"I'm just thinking about tonight, we will have fun, right?", he smiled in her direction, teasing Shiho, which is his hobby now,

"Pervert, drive carefully, Furuya,", she replied, and she smiled when she saw that man giggle. The couple arrived safely, and Rei went to the kitchen, He prepared to cook their dinner while Shiho changed into her homey clothes, ready to watch Big Osaka's match, That was the real reason this girl didn't want to eat at the Poirot café.

"Ah, you made me cook dinner, then you have an affair with that Higo-san, Shiho?", Shiho can hear Rei's voice from the kitchen. "Hmm.. This match is very important to him, Furuya," she replied. Rei nodded and continued what he was doing,he was cooking pasta for their dinner. The pasta was ready to be served, "Shiho, come here, I made this alone, but I cannot eat it alone", dark-skinned man said.

"I'm in the middle of the match, Furuya, don't disturb, you can eat first, I will do the dishes", Shiho said while her eyes were still focused on the TV's screen.

Rei brought his plate and sat with her in front of the television, He ate and fed the green-eyed woman beside him, she smiled beautifully. He was a little jealous when he saw her eyes twinkle when she saw her idol on the TV screen, and her cheeks turned red. Rei thought that woman was so cute. He put the plate on the table, then sat again beside her, He hugged her tightly, "What are you doing, Furuya?'', she protested, struggling to free herself from that handsome man. "Stay still, Shiho, I miss you", he replied, He kissed her on the neck, then down to her collarbone, Shiho moaned, "She is not focused on TV again, She looked at his head, He still kissed her collarbone, She grabbed his hair.

"Furuya.. don't tease me, ah.", she moaned again and again when she felt his hand on her left breast, He squeezed it gently, then finally he kissed her on her lips, He smooched her lower lips, biting them and sucking her lips. He broke the kiss, leaving her breathless. He smiled pleasantly when he saw his girl turn on under his touch.

"Let me take you to paradise, angel", he said, lifting her up to that sofa in the living room. Rei started placing wet kisses on her neck again, then slid his hand under her clothes. He squeezed her breast hard, pinched her erect nipple, making Shiho let out a gasp. He left her breast, lifted himself off her body slightly, and removed her clothes. Rei's eyes were filled with desire; seeing her in a black lace bra, he started kissing her exposed skin. Shiho pulled Rei down onto her as she gave him a long, deep, passionate kiss., She breathed deeply as she unbuttoned Rei's shirt, taking it and throwing it to the side. Rei stood up, quickly removed his pants, placing them on the floor with other discarded clothes.

He lowered himself onto her, lightly kissed her stomach, listening to her moaning, feeling her body tense under him. He was traveling up, outlining her bra in kisses, her hands were on his hair, her legs were wrapping around him. Rei's hand moved to her bra straps, slipping them down, one hand on her back, he unclasped the bra while the other sneaked underneath to caress her soft breast. He pulled off the bra. Next Week

Today is Shiho's birthday, and Rei has already prepared a romantic dinner with his girlfriend, He will propose to her tonight. Rei told her he would pick her up at 7 p.m. tonight. He came earlier, he came at 6 PM, Professor Agasa invited him to his house, told him, Shiho was still in her room, and let him go to her room.

"Shiho, Can't I come?", Rei asked. The door was open, and Shiho didn't seem to notice him at all. He looked at Shiho as she sat on her bed, her emerald green eyes focused on the necklace on her hands, He heard her whisper Jin's name softly. That necklace must be from that bastard, he thought.
He walked close to Shiho, He stood right in front of her, silently. In a few seconds, Shiho noticed his presence, she looked up at him with a pair of dazed eyes and said, "Oh, Furuya. You've come", She stood up, put that necklace in her drawer again, and looked into his eyes, She smiled beautifully,
"Yeah, I will wait for you outside'', he said while he was walking to the door. He stopped when he suddenly felt someone's hands on his waist, Shiho hugged him.
"I miss you, Furuya'', she said. He turned back to her and said, ''Happy birthday, princess'', He kissed her softly, their kiss did not turn into a passionate kiss like usual, and Furuya backed off when Shiho's just started to deepen her kiss.
"I will wait outside with Professor'', he said, going out of her room. Shiho felt abandoned by Rei, or was it just her own feeling, Shiho knows that man really loves her. She sighed and then prepared herself for their dinner.
The whole night, the couple couldn't enjoy the night, they were busy with their own thoughts. Shiho stared at Rei, He seemed weird today, he was not talkative like usual.
"Furuya, spill it. You're not here with me, what happened?'' She stopped eating and then looked into his eyes directly. , wondering what he had been thinking since earlier.
"Nothing, it is your birthday, let's eat'', He refused to look into her eyes, and he focused again on his plate. She felt angrier, , Shiho stood up, and walked away from their table. Furuya chased her, he grabbed her wrist and said, "Wait, Shiho, why have you left?''
"You're not here with me, I want to go home now'', he said, looking into Shiho's eyes. He sighed, He didn't let her go, he drove her home. They ride on silently. Rei glanced at her, she only stared at the window. When they arrived, Shiho got out of the car in a hurry, she just didn't want to see that man's face tonight.
Rei chased her again, he turned her body, ''What's wrong with you?'', he asked.
"Huh, that should be me who asked you that, what's wrong with you? You refused my kiss, you abandoned me, you never looked at me at my birthday dinner, why?'', Now she turned the question back to him.
"You wanted me to tell you the whole story. I came here this afternoon, to meet my girlfriend on her special day and to watch her longing for other man. That necklace is from Jin, right? Akai is right, I will never win against that man. Your heart belongs to him, when I belong to you'', he continued.
"No, you misunderstood. Furuya..'', she replied when he suddenly cut her off.
"Furuya.. Furuya... I'll always be Furuya for you; we've known each other for three years and have been dating for almost a year. For God's sake, i'm tired, Shiho, I tried really hard for us, for you'', he said.
"Rei,, you have to listen to me'', Shiho grabbed his hand and said, ''That necklace from Jin is right, but for me, Jin is'', Rei cut her off again.
"JIN.. JIN.. JIN.. You know he is a murderer, he murdered your sister, Akemi was killed by him. I wonder what Akemi would think if she knew her own beloved sister really missed her killer so badly. Perhaps, she would not be surprised because both of you share a romantic relationship with each other since, in the organi'', Rei's stopped when he felt a burning sensation on his left cheek. He was shocked when he saw the tears rolling down Shiho's cheeks.
"What happened here, Shiho-kun, Furuya-san?'' The professor came out when he heard their shouting voices. Shiho ran into the house while Furuya called her name.
"Furuya-san, I don't know what happened to you two, but it's already late. You can go home now, let her take a rest'', the professor said. Furuya went home after saying goodbye to the professor.

Rei and Shiho never communicated with each other in these two months, Rei hasn't contacted her yet, and when they met at the office, they only spoke when there were cases. Shiho felt her body not well recently, then she remembered the last time she got her period, which was 3 months ago. She bought three pregnancy tests when Shinichi drove her home.

Shiho used her pregnancy test at home, and then she threw the three of them with two lines in the trash. She stared blankly down at her flat stomach, She rubbed her stomach and said, "Baby, are you really here? I'm sorry, i'm not a good mother, Your daddy must be happy if he knows you're here.. But, he hates me, know, i'm sorry'', she said, then cried alone. She remembered that man, and their argument two months ago. I should find someone to talk to first, she thought.

Next Day in the Police Department's Canteen

"WHAT?'', Shinichi shouted. Yes, he was shocked, his eyes opened widely while he stood up quickly.

"Lower your voice, Kudou-kun, everyone look here'', Shiho replied. Shinichi was looking around, then smiling shyly. He rubbed his neck, then bowed. He sat again, then looked into his partner's eyes seriously.

"Who is the father?", Shinichi asked.

"Who do you think?'', she answered.

"There are two candidates in my mind, Akai-san'', Shinichi said.

"Are you crazy? He is my older cousin'', Shiho cut him off.

"Calm down, I was joking, It's Furuya-san. Hasn't he known?" The detective boy continued. Shiho looked into Shinichi's eyes, but she didn't say anything.

"I assumed he doesn't know, are you two arguing again?'', he asked his friend curiously.

"Hm,, but this time, I think he will never forgive me, he doesn't want to see me again'', Shiho nodded, her face getting paler.

"Hey, what happened? It isn't true, Shiho. Furuya-san, he really loves you. That child, you can't hide your belly forever, you must tell him about that'', Shinichi tried to calm her. Shiho told him about her argument with Rei two months ago, saying that Rei misunderstood her and Jin's relationship. He was jealous, and she was furious at his statement. They never contacted each other after that.
