Currently in his room laying down comfortably on his bed after after having a feast at the all you can eat buffet the retirement home sponsored each month, Albert was currently lost and thought of what he was going to say to his family tomorrow about Lincoln's disappearance with one of his closest friends.
Albert could still remember the day he ended up in Galar. He was a young pilot in the Navy doing joint training exercises with the Royal Navy when his plain malfunctioned and he had to do an emergency injection.
It was buy me a chance or perhaps a twisted way of Fate that he ended up in Postwick, where he ended up landing in the river next to Professor Magnolia's house.
It was there that the two of them met after she saved Albert from drowning thanks to a malfunction in the seats airbag. The two quickly became extremely close friends and that is when Albert learned of the existence of Pokémon.
Albert absolutely loved Pokemon as he always believed throughout his young life that there were more creatures out there previously believed as he was one who believed in Bigfoot in the Loch Ness monster.
In time the search party sent to go find Albert found him and he returned to base without incident before he missed curfew. But ever since then every chance he would get he would visit Galar to meet up with his old friend and to learn more about the Pokemon that called that island nation their home.
"It has been years since I've been to Galar but I still speak to Magnolia any chance I get. I still can't believe she gave Lincoln a formal invitation to go to Galar for his 12th birthday."said Albert as he once again recalled the thoughts that troubled him the most.
Lincoln ran away from home to go to Galar after his family had the nerve to forget his birthday. Part of him was upset at Lincoln for such reckless actions but he guess he could understand after hearing Magnolia explain everything she heard from Lincoln.
Albert always felt like the girls got better treatment than Lincoln when it came to their household but it was always a gut feeling that he could never go on up until now. The noise canceling incident?! Sister fight protocol?! He knew that his daughter and his son-in-law had strange ways of parenting but there is some behavior that should be accepted and some behavior that shouldn't be accepted!
For now all he could do is wait for Lincoln to call him as Magnolia promised him that she would ask Lincoln to call him as soon as he got close to a VideoPhone.
"Well I better get some sleep because tomorrow is certainly going to be... interesting."said Albert as he turned on his white noise machine that he used every so often to help him get some sleep.
[Galar Region]
Meanwhile Lincoln had just exited Mrs Williams house after explaining to her that he would be going to Wedgehurst, or more specifically the Pokemon lab to get a pokedex so she wouldn't worry as she was technically his legal guardian while he was in Postwick.
Mrs Williams wished him the best of luck and told him not to push Scorbunny to hard as the rabbit Pokemon would fight to the ends of the Earth for him. Lincoln said that he knew as they had only been together for a short period of time but they already felt like they were the best of friends.
Before Lincoln left tower Mrs Williams handed him a card saying that it was all the money he brought with him as well as some money she put herself and was changed into the currency they use in Galar so he could use his money for his expenses.
On his way to Wedgehurst Lincoln ran into Hop on route one doing some training with his Grookey. Lincoln decided that it wouldn't take too much time so he decided to do some training with some of the wild Pokémon on route one since he needed to make sure that he didn't fall behind Hop as he knew even though he is only been a trainer for a while that Hop had potential and that if he let him get ahead of him the next time they battle he would surely lose.
About an hour and a half later Lincoln arrived in Wedgehurst as the time really went by him as he was having so much fun training with his Scorbunny.
As Lincoln was looking around he noticed a particular Charizard that he recognized as Leon's but with Leon nowhere in sight.
"Look Grandpa it's the world's strongest Charizard!"exclaimed a little girl that was checking out Charizard.
"Yes dearly it is."said the grandpa in agreement.
Lincoln just smiled at the display of grandchild and grandparent as a reminded him of his time with his grandpa Albert or has he affectionately called him Pop-pop.
Lincoln quickly deduce that Leon must be next to the Pokemon lab so he decided to ask Charizard to point them to where his trainer is.
"Hey Charizard if it's not too much trouble can you tell me where Leon?"Asked Lincoln.
Charizard just roared before pointing his claw to the left.
"Thank you."
Lincoln follow the direction Charizard was pointing at and sure enough he arrived at a huge purple building with a Pokeball symbol in front and in front of that building was not other than Leon.
"I see you found your way here."said Leon as he turned around to face Lincoln.
"Yeah but it took longer than I expected since I was having so much fun trading my Pokemon."said Lincoln as he rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"Understandable, even though I'm the champion I still train my Pokemon any chance I get since slacking off is not what a champion does. I remember one time I was so into training my Pokemon that I ended up spending the whole day training and almost missing dinner so I understand where you're coming from."said Leon with a smile on his face.
"See how your world has expanded so much thanks to your Pokemon. I am glad I have Charizard by my side as he always makes sure I don't get lost as I have absolutely no sense of directions whatsoever... but enough of that let's head inside and get you that Pokedex."said Leon as he opened the door to the Pokemon lab and motion for Lincoln to go first.
Inside the lab Lincoln was absolutely amazed as there was more books then Lincoln could count and from the corner he saw some kind of plan experiment in some kind of makeshift greenhouse and some other devices that he had no idea what they did and figured it was not a good idea to touch them.
As Lincoln was looking around he heard a barking sound and Leon and him turn to see a yellow and brown puppy like Pokemon that happily ran over to Leon.
"Hello Yamper it's been a while old buddy."said Leon as he leaned down to pet the puppy Pokemon.
"What is it today Leon? Do you want me to look into more super strong never before seen Pokemon? I really wish you would stop with these outlandish requests."said a female voice from the second floor of the Pokémon lab.
Lincoln looked at the source of the voice and saw a beautiful woman about Leon's age coming down the stairs. She had red orange hair tied in a ponytail with glasses on top of her head like Leni with heart like accessories all over her hair. She wore a brown coat with a light blue top underneath it along with tight fitting blue jeans with matching boots with similar heart accessories. Lincoln could tell that whoever this is she certainly had a taste of fashion like his second oldest sister.
"Lincoln allow me to introduce you to Yamper, this little guy helped me out a lot when I was starting out as a trainer making sure I didn't get lost. Oh and this is his trainer Sonia now what can I tell you about Sonia? Oh! I like the way she cooks as she makes food that you just want to gobble up in a flash."said Leon causing Sonia to be slightly offended.
"Hey what kind of introduction is that?! Yamper wasn't the only one who helped you out in those days I did too or did you forget that we were rivals back in our trainer days!"exclaimed Sonia before she decided to drop it as she knew it was Leon just being Leon so she decided to focus on other matters.
"Hello it's nice to meet you like he said my name is Sonia and I am the professor is assistant as well as her granddaughter. You must be Lincoln, the grandson of one of my grandma's oldest friends."said Sonia with a smile on her face as she has heard a lot about Albert throughout the years and it's glad to meet someone related to him.
"It's nice to meet you too Sonia."said Lincoln as the two of them shook hands.
"Well I'll leave them to you then."said Leon before he walked out the door.
"There he goes off running off again with his head in the clouds. It's no wonder that he gets lost...Oh Lincoln do you have the latest Rotom phone? Hey Rotom."said Sonia before Rotom came out of Lincoln's pocket to introduce itself.
"Haha I never get tired of that mysterious nature they have. So tell me Lincoln do you know a lot about Pokemon?"
"...Not really as I've only started out as a trainer and only learned about their existence a few days ago but I really want to know everything about Pokemon as this is probably the greatest moment in my life."answered Lincoln with sincere honesty.
"I like you're honesty and I can see in your eyes that you truly want to know more about Pokemon so I'll tell you what. Let me see your Rotom phone for a moment and I'll make it so that you can use your Pokedex on your Rotom phone."said Sonia as the Rotom phone flew over to her and Sonia pulled out a chip or something and quickly inserted it into the Rotom phone.
"There you will now be able to use the Pokedex on your Rotom phone so it will be less difficult for you to carry around. But remember this is a gift from my grandmother so it's best that you go yourself and properly thank her."said Sonia as she handed the Rotom phone back to Lincoln.
"Thanks Sonia and I'll be sure to properly thank Professor Magnolia as I owe her a lot."said Lincoln as he politely excused himself before walking out of the Pokémon lab.
Lincoln then begin making his way to route two to properly think Professor Magnolia when he decided to stop at the Pokemon center did you do a quick check up on his Scorbunny before heading out as he did train him after all he wanted to see if he was in good shape.
Lincoln just quietly walked over to the front desk where he was greeted by a kind looking woman with pink hair wearing a nurse's outfit.
"Hello welcome to the Pokemon center I am nurse Joy and how can I be of assistance."said Nurse Joy with a smile on her face.
"I came to get my Scorbunny healed. Tell me how much is it going to cost?"Asked Lincoln before hearing Nurse Joy chuckle a little.
"Oh if I had a pokey dollar for every new trainer that asked me that I would be rich by now. I am glad to say that services are completely fee as every need including the paychecks that pay are employees are provided by the Pokemon League."
"Wow..."said Lincoln before he quietly handed over Scorbunny's Pokeball over to Nurse Joy who put it in a machine that began glowing until a minute or two later stopping.
As soon as the machine stopped Nurse Joy picked up the Pokeball and handed it over to Lincoln.
"Scorbunny is completely healed and is now on top physical form I hope you have a nice day and we can see more of you in the future. But before you go I highly recommend did you stop by the Pokemon and collect some items like potions to heal your Pokemon on the go."said there's joy with sincere smile.
"I'll do that."said Lincoln as he walked over to the Pokemon that was in the Pokemon center and bought a few potions and pokeballs before leaving.
As Lincoln was making his way to route 2 he was learning new information to pass the time. One thing he learned is that you can make money just from Pokémon battling as beating another trainer will take some of the currency they have on their person and positive directly into your account.
Lincoln couldn't help but smile at this as he knew with this kind of system he would make money that would definitely need as traveling was expensive, not to mention Pokemon food and other items he might need.
As Lincoln was nearing route two he ran into Hop once more.
"Hey Lincoln I've been thinking of ways to convince Lee to allow us to join the gym challenge."
"The gym challenge? What's that?"
"The gym challenge mate. It's an annual competition where trainers battle it out after collecting eight gym badges for a chance to challenge the champion for his title. But the problem is in order to participate you need an endorsement and the only person I can endorse is right now is Lee."said Hop who was having a conundrum as he wanted to join the gym challenge more than anything.
"Hmm... how about we talk to Professor Magnolia since she can probably convince Leon to endorse us without any issue since I have a feeling that he respects her a lot and will do anything she says."said Lincoln as he figured Leon probably got Charizard or whatever Charizard was back then from her.
"Oh I see where you going with this mate since Lee always listens to Professor Magnolia since she's the one who gave Charizard to Lee when he was only a Charmander."said Hop who was happy that his friend was a strategic genius.
"Well let's get to route two. By the way Lincoln I recommend that you fill out your team a little since you need Pokemon to cover your weaknesses as well as your strengths."said Hop before running off once more to route two.
"Hmm yeah I think I'll do that since I bought all these pokeballs so I might as well use them."said Lincoln before running after Hop to get to route two and hopefully find some new Pokemon to add to his team.

A short while later weekend was on route two looking for new Pokemon to add to his team. Suddenly he heard some wrestling in the bushes and he quickly went to check it out pulling out his Pokedex to identify the Pokémon in front of him.
Pokedex: Chewtle, the snapping Pokemon. Apparently the itch of its teething impels it to snap its jaws on anything in front of it. This Chewtle is male and it's special ability is strong jaw.
"Hmm... that's weird on the picture of my Pokedex Chewtle are blue but this one is clearly green is it sick or something?"Asked Lincoln to himself before scanning it again.
Pokemon: Sometimes a Pokemon is born a different color then the rest of it species and that Pokemon is considered shiny. They are extremely rare.
"So... you're an extremely rare very end of your species huh... well that settles that I'm definitely going to catch you!"exclaimed Lincoln as he pulled out a pokeball and immediately called out Scorbunny.
"Scor!"said the rabbit Pokémon who heard everything from its Pokeball and was ready for battle.
"Scorbunny use double kick!"order Lincoln causing the rapid Pokemon to quickly charge at the snapping Pokemon and delivering the powerful fighting type move with successive attacks.
The snapping Pokemon was caught off guard by this and couldn't defend itself properly in time causing it to hit a nearby rock causing it to fall to the floor.
"Go pokeball!"Yelled Lincoln as he tossed the Pokeball directly at the snapping Pokemon.
Even though in the past he couldn't catch her throw Lincoln has been practicing very hard using a tennis ball he borrowed from Lynn in his room every day to pass the time whenever he was bored making his catching and throwing skills improved with time.
The pokeball struck the snapping Pokemon of the head and bounced a few inches in the air before opening it up and enveloping the shiny Chewtle in a ray of light before absorbing it into the Pokeball causing it to close itself shut.
The pokeball began to wiggle as Lincoln held his breath hoping that it would work since there was a chance that it would escape and his chance of getting a shiny Pokemon would go down to drain.
But after a few more wiggles the Pokeball stopped and its track and a click sound was heard indicating that the snapping Pokemon was successfully captured.
Lincoln and Scorbunny just smile that each other before running towards the Pokeball with Lincoln holding it up behind the air striking a victory pose.
"Oh yeah I just caught a Chewtle!"Exclaimed Lincoln before looking at the Pokeball."You and you're going to be the best of friends I just know it."said Lincoln as he placed the Pokeball on his belt.
Suddenly Lincoln heard another wrestling sound in the tall grass and he turned around to see some kind of avian Pokemon directly behind him. Lincoln quickly pulled out his Pokedex to see what Pokémon was in front of them now.
Pokedex: Rookidee, the tiny Bird Pokemon. It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokemon benefits from every battle.- even a defeat increases it's strength a little. This Rookidee is male and his special ability is Unnerve
"Wow I must say your pokedex entry and presses me and besides a flyer will help out in the long run so I'm definitely going to catch you."said Lincoln has he looked at Scorbunny who had a similar mind set like his trainer.
"Scorbunny tackle!"exclaim Lincoln causing the rabbit Pokémon to quickly tackle the tiny bird Pokémon who was caught completely off guard.
"Rook?"said Rookidee who was caught off guard by the surprise attack.
"Rook!"exclaimed the tiny Bird Pokemon is it tried to use peck.
"Dodge and use tackle again!"exclaimed Lincoln.
Scorbunny did as his trainer commanded in jumped out of the way before the tiny Bird Pokemon could land its attack and just as it was trying to regain its footing Scorbunny successfully delivered another tackle attack.
"Now go pokeball!"yelled Lincoln as he tossed another Pokeball towards the tiny Bird Pokemon.
Just like with Chewtle the Pokeball struck the tiny Bird Pokemon in the head before enveloping it in light. Then the Pokeball fell to the floor and began wiggling before a click sound was heard a few seconds later indicating that Rookidee was successfully captured.
"I just caught a Rookidee!"exclaimed Lincoln as he picked up the Pokeball and held it high in the air.
"Well these two should make up an amazing team. Now let's get to Professor Magnolia's house before it gets dark."said Lincoln as he placed the Pokeball on his belt and recalled Scorbunny back to its Pokeball before heading out.

A short while later Lincoln arrived where his journey officially began a professor Magnolia's house where he saw Hop waiting by the front gate
with Leon and Professor Magnolia talking amongst the one another a few feet away.
"Have you discovered all the secrets of the Dynamax phenomenon yet?"Asked Leon.
"Oh goodness know there's still so much we don't know about it."answer to the professor before noticing Hop and Lincoln waiting by the front entrance.
"Oh goodness me where are my manners come on in and let's have a proper chat inside."said Professor Magnolia she opened the door to allow the Pokemon trainers inside.
Once inside the house all four of them made their way to the kitchen before Professor Magnolia decided to restart the conversation with everyone.
"Well I see both of you are doing quite well as I see both of your Pokemon have made quite a few friends. Oh and I see you already got a pokedex from Sonia Lincoln"said Professor Magnolia who was truly impressed of how far Lincoln and Hop had grown in just a short amount of time.
"Do you know about the dynamax phenomenon Lincoln?"Asked Leon.
"Yes I know a little about it from the books I read last night but there's still so much I don't know and want to know more of."
"Well Professor Magnolia is the foremost expert on the dynamax phenomenon as she has been doing research into it for years and years now. It takes a proper understanding in order to dynamax to the fullest."
"There you go talking about Pokemon again Leon there are other interesting things to know like how many different teas there are."said Professor Magnolia as even though she was a Pokemon professor she always believed there was more.
"Professor can you help Lincoln and me out. We want to join the gym challenge and we need Lee to endorse us so can you convince him?"Asked Hop as he knew she was the best person to ask in this situation.
"Now Leon why won't you endorse them?"
"Hop and Lincoln only started out as trainers and there's a lot they don't know about Pokemon yet."
"Dearie I thought you said your dream was to make every trainer of Galar the strongest trainers in the world."said Professor Magnolia who remembered that's the first thing Leon said to her the first day he became a Pokemon trainer.
"You're...not wrong as that is exactly why I gave them Pokemon in the first place in order to complete that dream."said Leon who knew he was back into a corner so he decided to come up with a solution.
Once he came up with one he turned to face Lincoln and Hop. "Tell you what. If you to show me a spectacular battle I will have no choice but to endorse you. So get your Pokemon ready and meet up in the battlefield in front of the house in exactly five minutes."
"All right!"Exclaimed Hop who was happy that things were going his way."Come on Lincoln get your Pokemon healed up and I'll be waiting for you on the field."said Hop as he ran off to do some warm-up Pokeball throwing before the battle.
Lincoln just smiled as he went outside as well. Once outside he called out his Pokemon and began spraying them with potion to get them healed up so they could be in Tip-Top shape for this battle as he knew that if they didn't show Leon a good battle he would not endorse them.
"Alright Chewtle, Rookidee I know we just met but I'm going to need you guys as help. I plan to take all of us to the top and I need your help so are you guys willing to lend me your strength so we can show the champion that we are worthy of the endorsement for the gym challenge."said Lincoln causing the two Pokemon to look at each other before nodding their heads in agreement.
"Good... Scorbunny you're up for this."
"Scor!"said the rabbit Pokemon as he gave a thumbs up.
"Good."said Lincoln before he recalled all three of his Pokemon back to their pokeballs and headed towards the field.
Once Lincoln was on the field the two young trainers took their positions on the battlefield as Leon took his position as referee with Professor Magnolia decided to watch the battle as she thought it would be interesting.
"Alright good luck out there you too and remember... no matter who wins or loses there are no hard feelings as one thing a Pokemon trainer needs to be as a good sport. I for one learn from every battle I participate in or watch and that is the reason I'm undefeated to this point. Show your champion something good."said Leon as he waited for them to call out their first Pokemon.
"All right let's do this Lincoln!"

With the same look of determination the two of them called out their first Pokemon to battle.

Hey guys PrimusPilus here with some news. I'm finally out of my funk and I feel ready to write again. The reason I gave Lincoln a shiny Chewtle it's because it's the first shiny Pokemon I ever got in sword and shield and it's one of my favorite shiny's of all time.Next chapter should be out soon.
Who do you believe will win in the battle to get the endorsement and which Pokemon will go against which one in this battle of three on three.
