Been awhile since I've done this. Hoped you liked this new chapter. Now this chapter takes place about several weeks since Order 66. Just a heads up.

It's been several weeks since the Clone Wars ended, since the Jedi Purge, since the fall of the Republic. The Clones under the leadership of Darth Vader quickly adapted to their new lives to the newly formed Galactic Empire. Of course, it'll take time for the Clones to get use to their newly livelihood. In the military base three Clone Commanders looking at a fellow Clone. Who is wearing his grey jumpsuit with the new Imperial symbol with handcuffs.

The three Clone Commanders who are selected to oversee the Clone trial are Commander Faie, Cody, and Appo. Cody looked through the Clone file "Captain Howzer. According to the reports that you're accused of defying Imperial occupation on Ryloth along with six others from your unit." Said Cody looking away from the file to look at the captain "It also said that you helped the Syndullas escape from custody. Want to explain yourself?"

"I did what I believe is right. Some of my men under my command knew what we're doing on Ryloth is against everything we fought for." Said Howzer looking at his brothers "And I'll do it again and the results will repeat."

"It's a direct violation to the Empire cause!" Shouted Commander Faie slamming his fist "You violated your duty, helped the fugitives escape, not to mention treason! Under Martial Law you and your men will face prosecution for your actions!"

"And I don't regret it." The former captain gives Faie a stern look.

Before Faie could let out another outburst, Cody butts in "If that's the case, Captain Howzer you and your men are here by sentence five years in prison charges of treason and defying Imperial occupation." Coby motive two Shock Troopers as they take Howzer away.

Once they're gone Coby let out a sigh as Faie looked at Coby "Why are you giving those traitors a five-year sentence? They should be sentence to execution." Said Faie.

"We're not going to kill our own brothers." Said Coby.

"They're defected Clones. They went against their orders."

"Howzer and his men will do their time in Imperial prison. End of discussion."

Before they argument can continue, they are receiving a transmission, Commander Coby pushed the button "Yes, what is it, Trooper?" Answered Coby.

"Commander Coby! We receive a report that there's been a Jedi sighting on Coruscant!" Responded the Clone officer.

"What?! A Jedi?! Where?!"

"She been sighted in the Temple!"

"Have every Coruscant Guard at the Temple! Understood?!"

"Coby that sir."

The transmission ends as Coby look at Faie "Contact Fox and have him close the premiere." He then looks at Appo "We need to notify Lord Vader at once." The two Clone Commanders nodded in agreement.

Jedi Temple

At the Jedi Temple the whole temple is surrounded by Coruscant Guards. Several LAAT/le gunships flying by with search lights. Commander Fox is by the temple's stairs looking at the entrance. One of the Troopers walked up to him "Sir, the area is secured." Said the Trooper.

"Good, make sure every entrance is blocked. No one gets in or out without my authorization." Said Commander Fox.

"Commander, we got word that Bravo Team has engage the Jedi. What's your orders?" Said the second Trooper.

"Tell them to shoot on sight. I want this Jedi traitor to be put down for good."

"Sir?"

"What is it shiny?" Fox looked at the other Trooper who is the newest member of the Coruscant Guard.

"Shouldn't be wise to send in Delta Squad? Or any of the Commandos to take care of the Jedi?" Asked the shiny worried "I heard the Jedi's use some weird magic and are capital at fighting."

"Coruscant it's our jurisdiction. We'll handle against one Jedi without those cocky Clone Commandos." Said Fox with confidence.

The second Trooper place his hand on the helmet turning to Fox "Commander Fox, got word that Lord Vader arrived in the area." Said the Trooper.

"What? Vader is here?" Fox sounded surprised.

Arriving at the temple is an Eta-class shuttle. It landed near the steps where Commander Fox stood. The shuttle platform opened with Vader exiting the shuttle. Fox and his men saluted to Vader. Darth Vader walked up to the Coruscant Commander.

"Lord Vader, wasn't aware you were coming." Said Fox keeping his nerve in checked.

"I've received word one of the surviving Jedi was seen in the temple. Is this true?" Asked Vader showing no emotion but a menacing tone.

"A patrol spotted her in some weird library. We don't know what's so important that she's risking her own life for. Bravo Team already engaging with an order shoot to kill. The whole area is sealed off."

"I'll take this from here. Make sure you keep the crowd from entering the premiere. And make sure the Jedi doesn't leave here. I'll capture her myself." Vader walking past him as the Commander watch him go.

"Capture? Why bothering capturing a Jedi? I say it's a waste of time."

Vader stopped on the steps. Without looking he spoke to Fox "Commander?"

Fox looked at Vader "Yes sir?"

"Did you and your men also took part on eradicate the Jedi during Order 66?" He asks.

There was a silence, none spoken for a good moment before Fox finally spoke out "Yes, I did. So, did with all my men. The Clones did Order 66 as ordered. Shut them Jedi scums dead cold. Me and the Clones did our part. If I have to be honest, if I get another shot of killing those Jedi traitors, I'll be happy to pull the trigger. Because that's my duty as a Commander for the new Empire. I'll live and serve for the Empire. I'll even lay down my own life for it if necessary." Commander Fox replied.

Vader didn't say anything. Taking in the Clone honest opinion he continues walked up the steps. Commander Fox and the other Shock Troopers watch him go. The Clones Troopers looked at their Commander confused "Sir? What's all that about?" Asked the shiny.

Fox ignores the question as he looks at one of his men "Tell Bravo Team and anyone else present inside the building that Lord Vader is inside. Can't have them shooting him by mistake." Ordered Commander Fox.

"Yes sir." Responded one of the Clones.

Inside the Jedi Temple sounds of blasters ring through the empty halls. Dozens of Shock Troopers chasing after a lone intruder. The intruder is a Jedi survivor from the Great Jedi Purge. The troopers fired their weapons at the fleeting Jedi, causing the Jedi to ignite its green lightsaber. Deflecting the bolts. One of the bolts hits one of the Guards by the neck, killing him.

"Watch it! She's deflecting the blasts!" Shouted one of the Troopers.

"Don't worry, we have her trapped. She's not going anywhere." Said the other one.

One of the Troopers kneeled by a pillar fired. Hitting the Jedi near the head "Got her!" Shouted the Trooper.

However, it wasn't clean kill since it only hit the hood. The Jedi deflects one of the bolts which hits the Clone who shot her. Right in the face, caused his body to fall sideways. The hood fell, revealing the Jedi's face. This Jedi is none other than Jedi Master Jocasta Nu the Chief Librarian of the Jedi Temple Archives. More and more bolts flying at her as she kept deflecting them.

"Traitors! You all betrayed the Republic you swore to protect!" Shouted Jocasta dodging the red bolts flying from all directions.

"The only traitor we see is you, Jedi!" Sneer one of the Clones.

"Wait!" Said the other placed his hand on his helmet "Got word from Commander Fox that Lord Vader is inside the temple and is heading towards our location!"

"Lord Vader is coming? Why?" Asked the Trooper by him.

"Who cares, let's just kill this Jedi." Said one of the Clones.

Jocasta Nu heard the Clones confirmation through the sounds of bolts shooting "Vader is here? Why now? Mustn't let him know what I'm doing here. Need to end this quickly!" Thought Jocasta.

Not waste any time, Jocasta charges towards the Clones. She swings her saber slashing two Clones across the abdomen. The Clones fired their blasters as Jocasta deflecting them, one of the bolts she deflects hits a Clone Trooper at the chest, killing him. Jocasta got close the Clone in front of her "Look out!" Shouted the Trooper but wasn't fast enough to get away. Jocasta swings her saber upward across which slashed the Trooper torso and cutting his DC-15A blaster rifle in two. The Trooper body fell as Jocasta switch the position of her saber with it facing upward near her forearm. Using her left hand, she uses the Force to send three Troopers flying across the hall. Hitting the pillar or landed the ground hard. Knocking them out cold on the floor.

Hearing groaning, the Clone behind her has the saber stab right through his stomach. Turning the saber off the Clone body fell face down with a thud. Once she cleared out any enemies, she about to head towards the huge hole she used to enter the temple. However, she felt an unpleasant presence in the Force.

Hearing deep breathing and footsteps she turned around. Approaching her is none other than Darth Vader. With his red lightsaber in hand. Jocasta turned to look at the Sith Lord.

"Vader, I presume."

"You made a grave mistake coming back to Coruscant, Jedi. Now you'll face the consequences."

Jocasta ignite her lightsaber. She charges at Vader swing her weapon at him. Vader blocks it with his own as both blades clash creating an angry hum.

"You'll pay for the deaths of all the Jedi you murder. Including the younglings, you slaughtered."

Both Vader and Jocasta swing their blades. Clashing filling the empty halls with loud crackling from their lightsabers. Vader aggressively swings his saber with one hand down. Jocasta moved out the way as Vader saber slash the floor. Jocasta spins so she could strike on Vader neck. But Vader quickly blocked it. Using his free hand, Vader uses the Force to strongly push Jocasta. Sending her flying out from the temple through the massive hole. Jocasta rolled and getting back up, noticing she's near the edge.

Vader walks out the temple to face Jocasta "You have nowhere to run to Jedi. The entire perimeter is blocked. You will not escape." Said Vader walking towards her.

"Perhaps not. But there's one other way." Said Jocasta turning her saber off.

"What are you planning now?"

Jocasta doesn't say anything. She takes a step back "To make sure you wouldn't hurt anyone in the future." She then tilts backwards. Falling off the ledge of the temple.

However, she only fell a few feet before stopping, and she knows why "NO!" Jocasta shouted with Vader extending his left hand out, using the Force to stop Jocasta from falling "I told you once Jedi that you'll not escape. I will not let you take the easy way out." Said Vader pulling Jocasta up.

Suddenly, an LAAT/le patrol gunship appears, hovering above them "Commander I see the Jedi's." Said the pilot.

"Very good. Fire the turrets." Ordered Commander Stone "We can't let them get away."

"Yes sir. Fire laser turrets." Said the pilot.

"Roger." Replied the gunner.

Firing red bolts, it hits the ground. Vader groans trying to concentrate not letting Jocasta go. The ledge gets covered by dust as Vader brought Jocasta back to the ledge. But not too far Commander Fox sees one of the gunships firing.

"What's going on over there?" Fox asked himself.

"Commander Fox just got word from Commander Stone. They spotted two Jedi's at the west wing. They've opened fire on them." Said one the Shock Troopers.

"Good tell them not let them get away. Send in back-" Commander Fox stopped talking as he looked at the Trooper "Wait, what you say? Two Jedi's?" Fox asked.

"Yes sir, two Jedi's been spotted."

"Two? That can't be right. The report said there's just one. How could there be…" Fox then realized something "Oh no…"

"What is it, Commander?"

Commander Fox doesn't reply, lift up his right arm commutator "Commander Stone! Stand down! Do you copy?!" Fox shouted "I repeat, stand down! Respond!"

The LAAT/le hovers while the spot where Vader is at covered by smoke. One of the Shock Troopers is seen kneeling holding DC-15A blaster rifle "Sir, can't see the targets." Said the Shock Trooper.

"Don't worry the smoke will clear up. When you see them take the shot, understood?" Stone ordered.

"Yes sir."

The pilot put his hand on his helmet from the comm link "Commander Stone, Commander Fox wants to talk to you." Said the pilot.

Stone lifts his right arm "What is it Fox?" Asked Stone.

"Stone you idiot! Tell your men to stand down!" Shouted Commander Fox "Lord Vader is there!"

"What? What you mean Lord Vader is…"

"One of the 'Jedi's' is Vader! He's wearing a black suit!"

"Oh God…" Stone came to realization he messed up.

With the smoke clearing up, the Trooper sees a dark figure "Target spotted." Said the Trooper.

"WAIT!"

It was too late. The Trooper pulled the trigger, firing a red bolt towards the figure. The bolts graze Vader right shoulder, letting out an anguish groan "SEIZE FIRE! SEIZE FIRE!" Shouted Commander Stone "Pilot get closer to the ledge!"

"Yes sir!"

The LAAT/le got closer, Vader used the Force to throw Jocasta into the gunship before leaping onto it. Down on one knee he spoke without looking at the Clones while Jocasta being continue in handcuffs "You… Shot me. Who gave you the order-"

"I-I'm sorry, L-Lord Vader! I-I didn't know it was you! Pl-Please for-" Stone didn't finish his sentence as Vader used the Force to snapped Commander Stone's neck with a sickling crack heard.

"Consider this as a reminder and a warning." Vader told the Coruscant Guards who are present in the gunship as Commander Stone lifeless body fell onto the floor, standing tall "If any of you decide to shoot me, make sure you think twice."

"Yes sir!" The Shock Troopers replied.

Vader then looked at Jocasta sitting on the floor with her hands behind her back "Now then, Jedi. Tell me what you were doing in there?" He asked.

Jocasta said nothing as one of the Clones spoke out "Milord, why bother asking this Jedi questions? Why can't we dispose the traitor?" Asked the Clone.

"Because Trooper, this isn't just some Jedi. This is Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, a former member of the Council and Chief Librarian of the Jedi Temple Archives." Vader explained to the men "You're already aware if you returned to Coruscant you'll be killed Master Nu. So, what's so important that you're risking your own life to come back? And willing to take your own life without being taken alive?"

"I have nothing to say to you." Jocasta responded bitterly.

"Found this on her, sir." Said the Shock Trooper who search her holding s device "Don't know what it is."

Vader took it from the Trooper taking a look at it "Is this what I think it is?" Ask Vader looking at the device "Is this the reason you came back for?"

"What exactly is it anyway?" Asked the other Shock Trooper.

"It's a list." Jocasta told Vader "After Palpatine took power I knew he'll seek out the list of Force-sensitive children at some point. Which is way I returned. I couldn't risk having the children to be taken under your 'Emperor' teachings."

"You wouldn't need to worry about that. Palpatine is no more." Said Vader motionless.

"What you mean?"

"Whatever rock you came crawling out, Palpatine's fate was heard through the galaxy. He's no longer among the living."

"Palpatine… is dead? How?"

"A Jedi killed him." Said the Trooper in the back "Killed him in cold blood."

Jocasta was shocked at first. However, she let's out a chuckle. Hearing Palpatine's dead, she's relived now any children wouldn't be harmed under by that monster of a man. Everyone minus Vader were confused.

"What's laughing about?"

"Did she lose her mind?"

"Jedi hypocrite."

"Permission to stun her Lord Vader?" Asked the Trooper by him held his DC-15S blaster carbine near Jocasta head.

"Lord Vader, you say?" Jocasta chuckled some more.

"What's so funny?" The same Trooper asked still holding his DC-15S blaster carbine.

"You all claimed that Jedi's are traitors. And yet you all served under one."

"What are you talking about?"

"This 'Sith Lord' you all take orders from is a Jedi himself. The one who betrayed the Jedi Order. And the one who 'truly' killed Palpatine. Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker."

There was an eerie silence. Behind the helmets of the Clone Troopers present have shocked expressions. They all turned to look at Vader who was very quiet. Without warning all the Shock Troopers including both the pilot, gunner, and Commander Stone's deceased body were all pushed out the gunship, with the sound of glass breaking. The Clones screamed as the plummeted to their deaths. The only ones remained are Vader and Jocasta. The old Jedi Master look at Vader unmoved.

"You do realize you killed your own men." Said Jocasta.

"You killed them. Their deaths are on your hands."

"So… what now?" Jocasta asked as the sound of a lightsaber is heard "Ah, so be it." Jocasta then closed her eyes.

The LAAT/le fell from the sky and exploded. Everyone nearby sees the explosion "What the? What the kriff was that?" Asked one of the Shock Troopers.

At the crash site Vader is seen walking out the wreckage unscathed. Commander Fox and several Shock Troopers rushed to Vader "Lord Vader, are you alright, sir?" Commander Fox asked.

"I'm fine Commander. Have your men cleanup the mess." Said Vader walking past him.

"What happened to the Jedi you wanted to capture? And what happened to Commander Stone? I couldn't get in touch with him."

"Commander Stone sadly died by the Jedi's hand. And as for the Jedi…" Vader stopped and looked at him "…she didn't make it."

With that Vader walked away, heading back to his shuttle. Commander Fox just watched as the shuttle flies off. He put his hand on his helmet "I need a fully sweep in the temple. Make sure there's no other Jedi's. And I want this mess cleaned up." Ordered Fox as everyone responded through the comm, Commander Fox sighed "What a kriffing day. Damn it, Stone. Why did you shoot at Vader?" Fox muttered to himself as he begins cleaning up the mess Vader left behind.

Inside the shuttle, Vader looked at the device that Jocasta had on her. Through the visors he was in deep thought. One of the pilots turned to Vader "Where to Milord?" Asked the Clone pilot.

"Back to my quarters. It's been a long night." Vader answered.

"Yes sir." The pilot turned back to the window.

The shuttle flies through the city of Coruscant as Vader's new Empire, spread through the known universe.

Yeah, that's right. Unlike in canon Commander Stone took Fox's spot to die. Since we never seen much of him since with Jar Jar. And yes, Commander Fox is still alive during the first year of the new Empire. I know a lot of people disliked Fox after what he did to Fives. Fox did what he had to. He followed protocol by the book.
